Lazureth, The Seer 's boot steps could be heard thudding up the hallway, pausing briefly at the door to markuss' room.
After a moment the door slid open, allowing him to enter.
He was followed by a woman in a white robe worn by the monastery's hospitaliers, and another woman who would be soon recognized as Danika Thorne.
Danika walked over to one of the comfy chairs that sat on the opposite side of the room, facing Markuss.
Lazureth walked towards the center of the room, directing the woman to set her tray of items on a nearby table. There were several implements and wrappings along with some pills and various other medical supplies on the tray. She stood nearby, waiting patiently for Lazureth to speak.
"Good morning, Master Jonovich!" he said, as the lights in the room brightened.
"I hope you have had a good night's rest, how are you feeling?"

Markuss had awoken to Lazureth's and Danika's entrance. He raised a brow at the sight of the two of them, but only gave Danika a meer glance before unsurely looking to Lazureth. "Feelin' bloody divine," he said, implementing the obvious use of sarcasm.
He had sat up from his bed and scratched his chin, and soon realized that since he'd last been awake, his facial hair had grown in quite a bit. There was a light 5 o'clock shadow on his face. Infact, he looked rather unkempt, biblically unkempt, even. Comparable to a one-armed ginger Jesus. He had frowned, and lowered his hand. "Be a little better if I could get m'clothes n'stuff back, bruf'ha. Even some'fn else t'wear other than this, y'know," he said, looking down to what only could be assumed would be a hospital gown.
"Gettin' released now, right? Damn, I could use a razor and some soap. People might start mistakin' me fer Lazarus."

Lazureth, The Seer Nodded as he gestured to a seat in front of the nurse.
"Fantastic. If you would, please come have a seat, our friend here will check your wound and replace your bandages."
It seemed as if Lazureth was oblivious to the intended sarcasm.
"Of course, Your belongings will be returned to you as soon as we are done here.
But first, we must evaluate your mental and spiritual state before clearing you for release, to ensure no remnant of the demon lingers in you."

Lazureth's obliviousness made the corner of Markuss' mouth rise. It was hard to be mean to the man. He kicked his legs over the edge of his bed, and slowly stood up. He lumbered over to the chair, and then unceremoniously plopped himself into it. He gave a nod of acknowledgement at the nurse, and then his gaze shifted back over to Lazureth.
"Glad y'didn't burn'm," he said. "What wif the precautions yer taken jes t'let me out, y'kno," he added, with a bit of quip to his voice again. "What exactly is evaluatin' someone t'ye blokes? Y'got some serta shrink priest layin' about er some'fn? I can skip th'bullshyte n'tell ye I'm peachy keen, bruf'ha. If there was a serta daemon in me I think I'd know, and I'm jes' feelin' sharp as a tack in th'mental department."
Of course, he'd been pretty messed up about what he'd seen in the room, but he certainly wasn't going to tell anyone that. He gave a reassuring half-smile, which may or may not have been forced.

Lazureth, The Seer smiled kindly, taking a seat opposite to Markuss who was now being worked on by the woman who now worked on unwrapping the bandages that concealed the wound.
"It is the nature of demons, master Jonovich. Does a thief or a burglar turn on the lights while he's robbing your house? No. He prefers you to believe that he's not there."
With the bandage finally removed the wound was revealed.
The wound was partially healed, however the flesh around the opening was black, tendrils of dark purple and black veiny marks crept out from the immediate area of the wound.
She began to work on cleaning and redressing the wound as the two continued to talk.
"The evaluation will be conducted by myself, and observed by Miss Thorne.
Unfortunately if you are in some way corrupted or still infected by demonic taint it could threaten to take you under it's control and potentially harm you and others.
Before we begin, have you anything that you wish to tell me? Perhaps any questions concerning what happened on the ship?"

Markuss had looked away from the wound as the nurse had redressed it, giving a slight hiss. He would have rather liked not to see it. He had focused on Lazureth instead. He gave a nod to the crusader, though he was grimacing, now. "Fair enough."
He huffed, and nodded his head. "I'd actually like t'know if th'traitorin' bastard is dead, but ye can tell me that after," he said, referring to Marcus. "I imagine a mental evaluation won't go too well if I'm huffin' about on th'event'e got away, eh?" He looked to Lazureth before his eyes had fallen to the ground.
"No, nuf'n I cin think of, buddy. I think I got a vague idea of what happened, albeit a li'l blurry. Daemons n'shyte, guess that's why I'm here," he mused. "Go on, then."

Lazureth, The Seer Nodded.
"We are going to re-trace your memory of what happened, search your soul and scan for any trace of demonic taint.
The woman finished bandaging his wound, handing him a cup of water and the small paper cup that held his pills.
after finishing her job she took her tray, bowed to Markuss, Lazureth and Danika before finally leaving.
"Begin by telling me what you encountered in the control room."

Markuss had nodded to the nurse and taken the pills, before reaching down and setting them on the ground next to him. He cleared his throat, and opened his mouth to speak, before he had abruptly stopped. His eye contact had diminished itself as his eyes had slowly drifted across the room. It was apparent that he was nervous. After a few moments of thinking, he had spoken up.
"I get through th'vent, no prob'lm. Ain't even feelin' nervous. Drop t'the floor, I look around. See some'fn movin' in th'shadows, I tell them t'come out er I'ma shoot'm. Which, I was gonna. It disappeared, though. So I turn back around, and then I go t'the panels n'shyte," he said, before taking a deep breath. He had already fibbed. He regaled his tale while his gaze was settled on the floor.
"Reach into m'satchel, get th'bomb. Put it on th'panel, set it t'two minutes, like Lukey'd told me. Starts it off. I turn around, there she is. Lady, ugly mug. Demoness, I guess? Think I'm jes hallucinatin', I dannae why I'dn't fired at'er," he said, it being evident that he was going to leave the fact he'd seen his father out of the tale. "She seems pretty cool wif stayin' where she is, so I jes go up th'ladder, I'ma runnin' back now. Jes as much as someone cin run in a tight space, y'know? Crawled like a bloody toddler on fire."
He fidgeted nervously. "Started hearin' fings, y'kno? Skitterin'. 'Course, m'legs cin only take m'so fast. Then, bam." He slapped the back of his hand against his knee, and sat back in his seat. His eyes had rested up on Lazureth's now. "Bein' pulled, and 'fore I know it th'lady's on top of me. Stabbed m'in th'shoulder, tore me up a bit. Kinda was a blur, like some serta bad rollercoaster ride. So I manage t'get m'gun off m'back and shoot'er up."

He maintained a few more moments of eye contact with Lazureth, before concluding his tale. "I'm bleedin' about, and I manage t'make it far enough t'not get blasted by th'bomb in time. 'Cause I'm not soddin' dyin' in some hot shaft in outer space. From then on, I dannae. Lukey pulled me out, I think. Past that," he shook his head. "Dannae. I dannae. S'what I remember," he lied.
He looked up to Lazureth for some sign of approval that he'd taken the tale. He wasn't a good liar, but he'd hoped he had mistaken Markuss' nervousness for him simply having a hard time telling what'd happened. He raised a brow, his eyes fixated on the crusader's face.

Lazureth, The Seer Nodded as Markuss told his tale, neglecting to mention key points of the experience to him.
"He's lying." Shot the voice of Danika, who still sat in her chair.
"Look at his face, its obvious.."
"Please, Miss Thorne." Said Lazureth as he raised his hand, gesturing for Danika to remain silent.
"You are meant to observe, and to take notes."
"Master Jonovich, in order for me to help you I must know the truth of what transpired in that room, otherwise I cannot in good faith release you from here.
Who or what did you see that night in the room?"

Markuss' eyes had shot to Danika. He had almost forgotten she was there. He instinctively crinkled his nose at the woman, shooting her a snide look. "Or maybe it was bloody scary for me, eh? Give me a fuckin' break y'mean broad," he aggressively quipped back, before his eyes had settled back on Lazureth.
His expression had grown calmer. He shook his head. He was doing it all wrong and it was obvious to them. He pressed his back against the back of the chair, and his eyes had met Lazureth's empty ones. He attempted to gain some confidence when he spoke again, and it was a considerable lot more convincing than when he'd first regaled the tale.
"Not lyin'," he adamantly said. "She's what I saw. Th'daemon lady. Done fucked m'up, too."
He had at least hoped to convince Lazureth.

Lazureth, The Seer smiled, leaning back in his chair as he listened to Makuss.
"I believe you when you tell me you saw the creature, Master Jonovich.
However, in your fevered state you spoke of a man, someone you saw in the room. "
The man's black, empty eyes scanned Markuss thoroughly. It felt as if they penetrated his very soul.
The room's temperature began to drop.
"I hoped that we would be able to learn the truth with minimal use of invasive methods, Master Jonovich.
I do not wish to do anything that is against your will, much is owed to you for your deeds upon the ship.
So I ask you to reconsider your answer, perhaps you simply forgot to mention something."

Markuss had felt his face grow hot. He brought a hand to it. It was a contrast to the room, which had seemed cold. Perhaps he was making a big deal out of nothing, but still...
Lazureth's presence had sent him on edge. He frowned and his eyes had shifted from the crusader to the floor again. He was caught in a lie. "Whys'it fuckin' matter? So if I seen someone, so what? S'jes th'daemon's trick anyway, ain't real," he protested.
Of course, what his may or may not have been father had said had sent his faith in the crusaders drastically down, and it hadn't exactly been skyhigh in the first place. He wasn't sure what to believe.
"Yeah, saw m'pop. He'dn't done much, jes spooked me a little," he finally admitted, though he had intent to leave out anything past that. "S'fine wif ye?"

Lazureth, The Seer Nodded, pulling back from his penetrating gaze.
"When I was a boy, many years ago I had a similar experience with the demon you saw.
My father was a clergyman in the local church, a man of faith. Before he died he told me of a creature that stalked him in his dreams, a woman of exceptional, enticing beauty. He warned my of the creatures that stalked the empyrean.
These creature seek to corrupt your thoughts, to lead you astray, and ultimately cause you to embrace darkness.
If you truly believe that what you saw was simply the work of the demon's deceit then you may have protected yourself from it's allure, perhaps avoiding corruption.
If you open your mind to me and show that you are free of it's corruption then I will gladly release you under the guardianship of Captain Orion, who eagerly awaits your release.
I simply need an ounce of trust from you, Master Jonovich.
That's all I need."

Markuss had stared up at Lazureth for a while, before unsurely shaking his head.
He had certainly felt fine, but then again, burglar with the lights off. He was sure it was possible, but the odds had to be slim. They had to be. He felt fine. As far as he was concerned, his soul felt just as clean as it had before he'd been tendril-stabbed. After a bout of silence, he nodded.
"Okay, fine. Trust given. If it'll convince ye that I'm clean then that's fine," he said, although begrudgingly. He hadn't really told Lazureth the truth, either, and he would see that. Markuss had felt iffy toward the crusaders, and what his father had said would only make his faith waver a little. But he wasn't a crusader, it hadn't really mattered, right?
Of course, little to his knowledge, he'd had something dormant in him. What it was would be shown to Lazureth in the divination. It hadn't mattered, though. Markuss had given permission, and would follow Lazureth's instructions in doing so.
"Yer lead then, buddy. Want me t'hold yer hand er some'fn?" Nervously joked Markuss.

closed his eyes as Markuss uttered the last syllable of his joke.
Markuss would then be taken by Lazureth's Psionic powers, transporting him through the memory of the events, as if hitting rewind on a movie.
It paused several times in key areas, first in the vent, being stabbed by the succubus.
He seemed to float above the scene, his sight peering through the walls to see the moment frozen in time.
Lazureth's voice echoed through the infinity of the vision.
"These are the agents that we seek to expunge from the realms of humankind, they are a canker that takes root at the souls of men. they threaten to destroy all of humankind, feeding on the souls of those they corrupt."
It then sped back to the moment in the room, and to Markuss' father.
"This... Is not your father."
As he spoke it seemed as if layers of the man's skin faded away, changed shape and revealed it's true form.
"I am impressed by your ability to resist the demon's attempts to prevent you from fulfilling your duty."
The creature was skinny, lanky and had avian, clawed feet.
Above it's hooked beak was a single, cyclopean eye, it was hunched and sickly looking.

What Markuss
OOC Notes
What Markuss failed to see was the spectral tendrils that reached out from the creature, wrapping around him, trying to penetrate his body.
"However, the more you accept it's lies, the further you step into corruption.
It is not your fault, it is admirable that you did not fully succumb to the creature's influence, however your hesitation gave it the opening to infect your mind...."
Suddenly, an unnatural laughing echoed through the infinite, resonating from the sickly doppelganger of Markuss' father.
Below the man's feet crept a flesh-like growth, like vines creeping across the floor, wet sticky noises filled the room as the rampant growth continued and the sinister laughter continued to resonate louder and louder, finally taking control of the vision and forcing both Lazureth and Markuss, returning them both to the Real world.
As they snapped back to reality Lazureth looked to Markuss with grave concern.
"Oh dear, Master Jonavich. I fear that something is growing at the pit of your soul."
He turned to Danika, issuing a stern command.
"Make Diomodes and The Father aware of the situation.
And call the exorcists...
There is a demon aboard the Ark."

Markuss had found himself taken by Lazureth's psionic powers. He had cringed on the outside as he had been stopped at certain scenes, particularly being stabbed by the succubus, and finally when they had come to the room, his face had dropped. The layers of skin began to pull away, Markuss forced back his lunch.
"'Oly shyte," he'd said, it being increasingly evident that he was more than uneasy. He'd vaguely scratched the nub of his other arm, a nervous gesture. When the demon had finally released them from the vision, Markuss had shot out of his chair in fear, sending it backwards to the ground. The pills and water next to him had toppled, sending the liquid across the floor. His eyes had shot from Lazureth to Danika, wide and panicked. "Yer kiddin' me," he said absolutely.
"Yer not really..." Markuss had given a pitiful laugh. "Not really th'type t'play jokes, Lazzy. Ain't no daemon on board th'Ark. Y'know damn well there ain't," he'd almost pleaded. "I ain't gettin' exorcised, mate," he'd said again, resolutely.
"I will..." he stopped out of nervous habit, shaking his head. "See if I won't run outta f'is some'ow. Yer not exorcisin' me." He had raised a hand, keeping the distance between the two. "I like ye blokes n'all but I will fuck y'up, eh? Got it?"

you get that?
OOC Notes
Lazureth, The Seer remained calm as Markuss seemed to go into a panic mode.
"Master Jonavich, Is it your wish to die? Because if the creature inside you is not removed it will take you over and when it has achieved control you will be lost forever."
He rubbed his forehead as Danika left the room for a moment to allow the exorcist inside.
The man wore a black robe-like garment over his armor, giving him the look of a monk or priest.
He carried a large tome which was attached to a chain at his waist.
Danika pointed Markuss out to the man and he nodded.
"Why make things worse for yourself? We are trying to save you."

"Well excuse me if I'm not peachy keen on gettin' EXORCISED, mate!" he'd exclaimed, frowning. It was almost unfathomable to him that Lazureth hadn't understood. His eyes had shifted to the exorcist, and he lowered his hand. "Now see I'm not afraid'a punchin' ye, ye know. Yer less intimidatin' than this bloke, so unless ye want yer cross shoved up yer anus I suggest ye back up wiffat," he threatened.
"What's exorcisin', then? It'll be painful? I'm not gonna twist m'head around and spew projectile vomit at people when I've just done n'woken up, eh?" he'd asked Lazureth, obviously not too versed in the arts of exorcising things.
"'N yer not gettin' close t'me 'till y'tell me, buddy."

OOC Notes
Lazureth, The Seer chuckled, hearing his first response.
"What would you have us do if you were say, bitten by a snake? Pray and hope the venom leaves your body to avoid you discomfort?
No one has shown any aggression towards you, Master Jonavich, certainly not I."
He blinked, thinking about how he should answer the question regarding the process of exorcism.
"Well, the process differs from person to person according to the nature of the infestation and the strength of the demon that inhabits your body.
Anything that would happen to you during an exorcism would be far less physically agonizing than say... transfiguration and full-fledged possession where the demon crafts your flesh into a shape that appeases it. The pain endured when your bones, sinew, and cartilage are torn from their rightful positions and twisted into a corrupt form drives you mad before the process is over."
The exorcist began chanting to himself, reading from the book he held.

Markuss's brow had furrowed. "Well gee, if ye put it that way, well I'm just EXCITED to get an exorcism now! I don't see why f'here's not a club fer it; gettin' exorcisms!" he'd quipped, staring at Lazureth with an incredibly discontent look as he did. Of course, he hadn't really answered the question how Markuss would have liked, but it was fair enough.
He crossed his arm over his chest as his eyes had shifted back over to the exorcist, who had just carried on his merry little business without paying a lick of attention to Markuss. If he had been any other person, he might've slapped the book out of his hand. After staring at the man for a while while he had done his chants, Markuss had glanced back to Lazureth again.
"So, what am I supposed to do? Obviously ain't like I've got a choice in f'is anyway," he'd said with a considerable amount of bite in his voice. At the very least though, he'd come to terms.

Abandoned Multiverse Characters Restored
Hey guys,
Just letting everyone know that I've gone through and found as many abandoned characters as I could and placed them back into their original creator's list of characters. There were several thousand characters who I could not determine the owner for, and as such I've placed those in the orphanage.
You're free to abandon them again if you wish!
Sincerely,
Your Friendly Multiversal GM

Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread
Hello folks!
There's been a lot of talk lately (mostly unpleasant and misunderstanding) about the invasion and occupation of Terra plot that Barney and I have been working on for over a month and which was recently unveiled publicly (apparently?) in the Multiverse. The idea behind most roleplay usually termed "nation roleplay" or "NRP" is not to overtake or dominate a large-scale roleplay, but to enrich and provide sociological, economic, and political background to such a setting. "Nation roleplay," or roleplaying that involves nation states, de facto state entities, or state-like factions, is intended to be a breeding ground for character development, provide a backdrop for character interactions, and create multiple avenues for diverse and engaging plotlines to develop at both micro and macro levels.
In my own writing, I focus predominantly on the development of individual characters and the dynamics of interactions among those characters. I find overarching, meta-plotlines like this invasion plotline to be an excellent impetus for engendering and fostering more vibrant and compelling character interactions and new plot ideas by creating multiple sources of tension. Characters need not have any high rank or formal affiliation with a faction in order to be impacted by larger events (think of what happens to average citizens when any country goes to war), nor will they necessarily be directly affected in any significant way (think about the everyday lives of most Americans during the Iraq war.) But you, the writers and roleplayers, will have a myriad of opportunities to create, develop, and form deeper and more interesting plots to feature your character(s), given a new set of macro-circumstances.
Both Barney and I welcome and encourage anyone who is interested in active involvement in the invasion plot at any level (very active to vaguely active) in any way whatsoever to talk to either or both of us about your ideas, character(s), and plans. A large number of people have already done so, including the following people:
- krumbla -- I can't remember his idea (I'm sorry, krumbla; talk to me when I'm not sick as a dog?)
- Mr. Crow -- News media company to be formed before the invasion and to provide support to the resistance or rebels following the occupation
- curtsive -- Vigilante anti-terrorist organization to conduct terrorist operations against the occupation
- Alasund De'astio -- plays the Democratic Coalition, allies of the current (canonical to Ylanne) Terran government
- Nemo -- typically handles the military side of the Terran government, as well as Randin Kaye from the Wing City Police Department
- DemiKara -- whose character Aerilyn recently joined the Terran Intelligence Bureau
- Konstantein -- plays a daywalking vampire who will act against the occupation
- AzricanRepublic -- plays the UCON, which has a military presence near Terra and supports the TNG
- Marcus -- plays the Council, which has a vested interest in defending Terran sovereignty
- Tearen Wover -- plays VARIAtech corporation, which is offering military assets to the Terrans
And I'm certain I've forgotten someone (in which case, if that's you, I do sincerely apologize. It's one a.m. and I'm still sick.)
Barney and I have sketched out an overview of how we expect the plot to run from beginning to middle to end; however, despite the fact that both of us obviously plan on the plot following that sequence, it can change its course at any point depending on the ideas and in-character actions of any other folks who decide to get involved.
Some of the plots to occur during the invasion and occupation, both planned and still in discussion, already discussed include the following:
- Arianne Drulovic subjected to an order of indefinite detention
- Democratic Coalition rescuing Drulovic from Aschen custody
- Terran resistance kidnapping self-proclaimed God-Emperor Raphael McGregor
- Drulovic psychologically "breaking" McGregor with his estranged wife Cally
- Hataf attack against Aschen Empire holdings
- Guerrilla warfare between Democratic Coalition, UCON, and Terran forces against Aschen forces
- Taiyou attack on Aschen-controlled Terra
- Terran Independent underground dissident publication
- Jelisaveta Drulovic and family taking Natalija Drulovic's children off-world
- Rubano Malijin assuming power as regional Governor of Terra
- Public executions of political dissidents
- Internal rebellion against Aschen government by dissident Aschen leaders
I strongly encourage anyone and everyone to seek me out to talk plot, character, and ideas. Both existing and newly created characters can be involved with any plot, either existing or newly proposed by you. If you feel that this planned plotline (invasion and occupation) will unnecessarily or unfairly interrupt or alter your own plans for character or plot development, and you passionately want to retain your own plans as much as possible, please talk to me. I am very obsessive and have high levels of anxiety about maintaining the integrity and substance of my plans, so I know how you feel, and am more than happy to collaborate with you to work out something that satisfies you and makes logical sense.
If I'm not in the chat at any given time, I can be reached via private message, or by email at trealistorm (at) yahoo.com. Messages to that email address are delivered directly to my smartphone, which I check obsessively all day long, and will be read and replied to as soon as possible. (Usually within twelve hours, and sometimes within as little as ten minutes.) I want to hear your ideas and opinions (but please be polite to me; I do have feelings and am a real person over here), and I want to make sure that you don't feel like I am trampling over you or your character(s) or your plot(s).

[OOC] Taylor's Bar (Multiverse Location)
This is the official OOC thread for Taylor's Bar. I'll post staff, recent events, and other information about Taylor's here.
Taylor's Bar is a location owned by my character, Gabriel Taylor. The Bar/Hotel/Casino is extremely fortified and secured. Each entrance has a metal detector and the place is usually fully staffed with employes. Taylor handles all of his business in house and law enforcement is nearly never called. Various precautions have been set around the bar to account for the magical inhabitants of Terra and keep it's inhabitants safe.
News Announcements
Taylor’s Casino and Hotel Grand Opening!
Gabriel Taylor, multimillionaire and owner of Taylor’s Bar, a successful nightclub and hang out for the rich and wealthy, has moved onto his next venture; A casino and hotel. Patrons of Taylor’s bar may have noticed construction going on around back as well as various signs and posters apologizing for the inconvenience; The large tower coming up behind the bar would be rather noticeable to say the least. Last month we got a word with Gabriel Taylor’s manager and he’s said that he has big plans for this place.
“Terra’s never had a place quite like this; Gabriel’s casino will be the first. The casino is the largest in the world and it’s also the most secure. Not only won’t we be hit, but we can’t be hit. We’ve brought in security experts from around the world to devise the most advanced security system Terra has seen. We invite anyone who believes they have what it takes to try and rob us, but I won’t be responsible for your injuries or the blow to your self-esteem. Try to teleport through our walls? Have fun getting stuck inside of them. We’ve worked with various experts in the field of magic and technology to create a sort of ‘teleportation displacer’ as well as armed our guards with anti-magic grenades. Although obviously not 100 percent effective, it gets the job done.
The hotel is large and extravagant. It has everything you’d ever need, ranging from a five star restaurant to indoor pools, and a top of the line spa. Our 2nd floor hosts a large assortment of stores holding anything you can think of including the finest clothing and the newest technology. “
The casino and hotel’s grand opening is April 9th at 7 pm. The party at Taylor’s bar goes from 7 pm to 2 am, but good luck getting in. The guest list is packed and with the security at Taylor’s it’s going to be difficult sneaking in.

Re: [OOC] The Gaia Stones [IC Fantasy Event]
We have a an Official Group now. Whoohoo. I will edit some more details later on in the day due to my exhaustion.
[OOC] The Gaia Stones [IC Fantasy Event]

The Gaia Stones is a plot that I am currently GMing within The Multiverse on a planet deep within the Milky Way system where technology is not allowed and will not be able to function. The world is ruled completely by magic and magic law. The story consists of people being summoned to the planet Gaia (if they did not spawn on the planet themselves) and were brought to The Ruby Flask. They were given a task to follow a powerful mage named Ry'nn Traeger to collect stones which would unseal powerful weapons that had once been used to forge the kingdom. The purpose behind the quest beyond that remains to yet be seen.

THE WEAPONS
Skuldgrim the Slayer of Undead
Skuld was the first sword forged on the world of Gaia in the Xanaldra Forge. It is a legendary blade that has not been seen for a hundred generations. It once served Gaia when the undead were a threat to all living beings on the Mother’s soil and vanquished The Risen Horde during the age of Those Who No Longer Roam sent by Eras.
The blade of the sword is long and elegant with a pointed edge that is perfect for piercing into armor. Down its length is the engraving of Sagittae—a beautiful woman—in finely etched lines on one side and the other is the engraved representation of Atargatis—a strong and lithe man. The edges are blunt and glow with a strange red flame from enchantment. The blade and hilt are made from a very light weight and mysterious metal.
The pommel of the sword is marked with an engraving which represents the goddess Sagittae; one of the stars of Gaia and the Mother’s protector from the evil god Eras. The sheath is blood red. It is unbreakable and will never shatter.
It is a sword meant to battle the undead which roam mindlessly on Gaia; skeletons, reanimated corpses, and shades. But with all swords of power, there is a weakness. It cannot kill any living soul and may only be used on the undead.
Artrea the Healing Gauntlets
Artrea were gauntlets worn by a legendary man named Lysander Enlight. The gauntlets were hidden beneath the soil of The Exalted Mountains and were used to light the world when Eras had almost consumed his siblings. For seven turnings of Gaia had Artrea served to the be sole beacon on hope for all living things on the world.
The gauntlets are made from a mysterious metal which is completely white in color, almost as if they were made of our pearl. But they are as harder than any metal known to the current world as the knowledge died with Those Who No Longer Roam. They will light the path when light is needed most.
Glittering feathers protrude backwards and out from the wrist. The fingers are sharpened like ten deadly claws that can grip any surface short of diamonds. It is easy to scale a wall with the gauntlets. But that is not what make the weapons deadly. So sharp in fact are they, that they can pierce through most armor and can slice through human flesh like a razor through parchment. But their greatest power is the ability to touch others and heal their mortal wounds through the use of Will.
There is always a weakness that comes with weapons of great power. Those who adorn the gauntlets and use its abilities will soon find their eyesight failing on them over a long period of time. All those that have ever used them—even once—have gone blind with age. And when they are used to heal, the adorner will find themselves very drained as if their own life-force had been passed into the other in order to save their life.
Questions, suggestions, and comments should be directed here, especially when chat is busy or when I am not online or active in the chat.
Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread
Actually if you want it as a news report, at least offically so, there is a News Thread for the Multiverse as a whole
Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread
Sangrei's only statement was this. "Hey, I was hungover, and I got an iced tea with honey. How was I supposed to know that the bear thing was gonna come over and wreck the bar looking for goddamn honey?"
Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread
Gambit's Bar was drained of all its honey by a mysterious yellow bear!

Unfortunately, Wing City police did not know this and were left in confusion to find only a yellow teddy bear with a red shirt at the scene of the crime.
The only customer under record who had ordered a glass of honey that day was a Sangrei Friedn. Responsibility for the bill and possibly the stolen stock of honey have yet to be decided. Police still find Friedn a suspect.

HAHAHAHAHA. The conclusion isn't coming til closer to the summer. Frequency of activity and times when the folks who are involved currently has dropped quite a bit for a variety of reasons, and I don't anticipate the conclusion to Family Pictures for a bit. That said, for those who pay attention to the faction-side of things, the announcement that elections have taken place for the Terran National Government will be posted soonish (i.e. within the next two weeks insh'Allah.)
Those who might be expecting me for roleplay, I will have no internet access this Thursday through Sunday this week except from my phone or if I can access someone else's computer with internet access. You will only be able to reliably reach me via email, which goes to my phone. If you don't have mine, any staff member does, as would anyone who regularly roleplays with me. Thanks!
Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread
There's no real procedure to get "started" in the Multiverse. The hub of activity is generally Gambit's Bar, but you can grab a roleplay partner and head anywhere. The sky's the limit!
Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread
I'm new here, and I just made my first character. How do I get started in the multiverse? I'd like to stick mostly to Terra to keep as close to my character's home as possible, but if I have to move, I will.
If you want to check out my character, go to roleplay/the-multiverse/characters/lorenzo-caracciolo
By the way, that is not near my real name, so don't worry.

You can create and play anything that you like in the Multiverse. There is no acceptance or review of characters, just create the character and start RPing!

Hello folks! I'm currently maybe two-thirds of the way through the planned Family Pictures sequence, which can be read here, and am posting one last announcement looking for folks who might still want to become part of that. There are opportunities! They abound, in fact! (Yes, I was looking for an excuse to use the word "abound" in an internet forum post. I successfully created one.) Re: The Multiverse: Where Do We Go?
Um. Okay. Bear with me. I read through what posts I saw, and took note on things that were said to the best of my ability. Here's where I stand on the Multiverse, where the Multiverse is to me, and yeah. I guess.
I agree that there needs to be a set baseline. For instance, the name of the bar. The name of the world that the bar is on. The name of cities, nearby things like that. There can be a set system of government, the Wing City Police Department, but their "jurisdiction" only stretches so far. Some of the most interesting roleplay I've seen/participated in has involved characters coming from other worlds and having to either deal with, work around, or confront the system of government set in the Multiverse.
Alternately, some of the worst and most frustrating MV roleplaying I've seen has been .. involving characters coming from other worlds and having to deal with, work around, or confront the system of government set in the Multiverse.
I've always seen the MV as a hallways connecting various rooms. The rooms are your own story, your own ideas, your own canon, your own characters; it's where your friends gather and you control things. When you're out in that hall, however, all bets are off. That isn't to say you can pull things out of your ass, but you accept and understand a certain amount of handicap.
For instance, my character Liesha Kennicot is a Special Agent in the United States government, from her Earth. She's aware that there are other Earths, and that she doesn't had any control when in the MV. That's fine. However, when someone else walks up to her and starts trying to give her orders claiming that their faction has taken over mine without a single bit of IC content, that's when things start to go awry.
Reading back over the original post, it seems that the Multiverse has as much substance as you give it. It's a sandbox location where you can freely interact with new characters that you might not get a chance to. For a while, I used the MV as a way to try and test out ideas with people before making a roleplay out of it. You get your circles of friends (as Patch mentioned, his crew of eight) and you go at it. Sometimes you meet in the middle, and sometimes you don't.
And at the risk of ranting, that is all I have to say about that.
