a part of The Multiverse, by Remæus.

The main living room of the Borealis Manor is enormous and encompasses most of the first floor. Large and expensive rugs lay on the floor beneath cozy, designer, couches and arm chairs. A hearth is the center piece of the living room built into the northern portion of the room. It is made from stone and above it shows the Borealis Family tree in an artistic fashion. Book cases are found here and there as well as an entertainment center cleverly hidden inside an armoire.

After stepping through the wide arch which led into the living room from the foyer, many faces greeted the two that had entered.

There was Lesath sitting by a window with soft light pouring over him and the man was reading a book titled with odd glyphs. "That is our Secundus and he is just below the Primus, Asellus and Norma Borealis. He is also my elder brother, if you remember me telling you this," Rescha said while leaning in close to Hatchet's ear. Her demeanor towards him changed yet again now that they were in the company of her family.

Asellus was sitting across from Caelum playing a board game which resembled 'Chess', but had extraordinary pieces and a more complicated graph on the board; not just boxes of black and white. "Those two are Asellus, our Primus or one of them, and the man with him is Cael, Maia's husband. They recently lost their daughter," Rescha said.

"Maia is probably in the kitchen cooking or baking. It's really all she does these days," she said in a solemn tone. "Not only did Cael lose his daughter, Merope, but he's lost Capella too. She was his sister. Probably best to not speak with him for a while. He's been in mourning for many days. We Prometheans do not like being disturbed while grieving."

Rescha then gestured towards another man sitting in front of the television whom was clicking through the channels absently.

"And thatβ€”"

"β€”is my twin, Mr. Hatchet," Kaus said while looking back over his shoulder at the two. There was a sour expression on his face and he turned back to the television to pick up where he left off.

"And that is my twin, Kaus Australis."

Hatchet held a pleasureable smile, as Rescah was pointing out all the members of her family. They appeared to be quite the group. Especially her twin, Kaus. He strode over to Kaus. Seeing as he was Rescha's twin brother, he caught Hatchet's eye as the most interesting at the moment. Hatchet stood directly behind the boy, smiling so politely; it would seem distinctively creepy how pleasant his smile would be. He locked his wrists behind his back, keeping a prominent posture. "So, have you two...?" Hatchet tilted a head, and nodded slightly toward Rescha. He flicked up his eyebrows, as a curious grin plastered over his face. "Because, she seems like the type."

"Has she ever told you that you are deplorable, yet, Mr. Hatchet? I have the feeling that she has and I agree with her, though I haven't agreed with many things she has been doing lately," Kaus said never removing his eyes from the television. "Honestly, Rescha. Another one? This makes five this week alone. Are you attempting to say something, or just piss me off. It's working very well."

She didn't respond to her brother or at least not yet. While he was talking, Rescha was busy rushing towards Hatchet and reeling hand hand back in order to slap him across the face.

A smirk spread across Lesath's face as he watched the on-goings. Depending on how Hatchet dealt with the situation depended on whether the Secundus would speak to him or not. His eyes peered over the book he was reading and he adjusted himself in his seat.

A smirk came about Hatchet. His eyes narrowed at Kaus, as he chuckled softly. "So, you really are alike." Hatchet glanced back at Rescha, and jolted back a step, cacually flinching his hands up in front of his face (they'd block her arm, if she continued to try and hit him). "Hey, hey! You don't really want to do that here, do you?" He quickly squeezed out the sentence, to bring Rescha's behavior to a halt. He smiled all the more at her.

The hand collided with Hatchet's own hands which were risen in defense. Rescha's face darkened and she pointed at him with an accusing finger. "I am nothing like my brother. He is just bland, boring, and bland," she said before adding," And we do not have sex with each other. That is disgusting!"

"I did grope you once, though," Rescha heard her twin chime in pleasantly and then heard laughter trailing after it. The woman turned as much as was needed and then slapped her twin across the face from behind the couch. She saw Kaus's face whip back around to her while he rose a hand to his cheek. His expression directly reflected hers and all of the sudden the world moved as she was grabbed and drug over the couch with a surprised scream. It didn't take long for the two of them to roll onto the rug in front of the hearth, wrestling with each other.

Rescha seemed to have the upper hand in the fight and it drew the attention of everyone, even Maia who entered in through the dining room.

Hatchet let down his hands, and chuckled briefly. "So, I see you two do get rowdy with each other..." he whispered under his breath. He glanced around the room. The attention from the room was becoming fixated on the twins. Though, all eyes were not on him, he suspected they would be, soon enough. To defelect whatever minor blame might be put on him for sparking the incident, he decided to put himself on the spot now, rather than later.

He threw up his hands in submission, and revealed a half-smile; his scar allowed it to consequently appear as a full one. "I suppose their likeness is more apparent than they think." he stated with a brief, low chuckle.

Everyone seemed to ignore Hatchet for the moment while the males rushed to pull the twins apart from each other. The last thing they all needed was another unfortunate accident and other of their number to end up in the hospital.

"No! I'm gonna claw his eyes out with my bare hands! Let me at him!"

"I wouldn't want you to touch me with those filthy hands. I don't want to think of what body parts they've been touching lately, whore!"

"That's enough," Caput said as he tore Rescha away from Kaus during the exchange of words. Asellus was the one who took Kaus away and forced them to leave the room.

Lesath chuckled as he continued to sit there and watching Hatchet, silently. Maia returned to her kitchen with Eltanin in tow, Caput's son.

Cael was the one to speak to Hatchet, after coming to stand at his side. "They are the same side of the coin, those two. Or maybe like magnets. Sometimes they attract and other times they repel each other. They've been in a fight over the past few days," the man said with a shrug before extending his hand toward Hatchet.

"Cael Signus."
