General Bailey Wurzman, Terra's Naval Commander, sat inside the armored tank in the center of a convoy of ten vehicles and a combat helicopter leaving a tactical debriefing in Government Center to return to the relative safety of Fort Veritas, over two miles south of Wing City. The convoy sped at a steady one hundred and fifteen kilometers an hour along Wing City Highway, beneath the reddish hue of the setting sun. Her hand rested on a manila folder containing some of the briefing documents from the meeting, the sun casting half of her face in shadow, and the other in an orange hue.

The entire trip should have taken about forty-five minutes, which included the terribly congested traffic inside the city itself. With the booming tourism business, that repeated terrorist attacks didn't seem to diminish, and the city established as the center of power for the Terran government, there was always an enormous overflow of cars on the constricted city streets.

Wurzman was a woman of medium height with strong shoulders and pale blue blue eyes, her angled features framed by strawberry-blonde hair tied in a tight ponytail, with not one hair of her perfect coiffure out of place. Although she was dressed in her pressed khaki uniform, with the stars of a general on her shoulder, Wurzman did not appear to belong in the military environment of an armored tank, with two lieutenants at the wheel. A 40mm machine gun sat on the roof of the armor-plated tank, and here Wurzman sat inside, her personal cell phone in her hand as she spoke softly into the receiver.

"I've been doing well, Dad," she said, tapping her fingers against the cover of the briefing documents. "Wing City is a nice place to live, though personally I've always preferred Munich." To the driver in the front, the general's voice was inaudible, covered by the roar of the tank's engines.

The cell had been running all night, in their two GV-12 Sabers, packed with all their ammunition and weaponry. The authorities were probably hot on their heels, but they were prepared to give their lives for this mission.

Heril Martanne and three other insurgents had moved ahead of the Sabers, using their fighting knifes to silently hijack a massive fuel tanker, rigging the huge vessel of gasoline with the last of their explosives, turning it into one giant incendiary bomb.

In the flat-bed of the front Saber, a pair of Aegis troopers readied the Rocket-Propelled Grenades, zeroing the scopes on the hovering Terran Gunship. As they reached optimum range, they opened fire, the bulbous warheads optimized to take down air targets slashing through the still evening air towards the gunship.

The second Saber smashed into the front of the column, a few vehicles in front of the tank, the three insurgents crewing the vehicle opening up with the 40mm grenade launcher mounted on the roof firing rocket-propelled rounds at the track units of the tank, hoping to blow off one of the links, and bring it to a halt.

Martanne gunned the throttle on the tanker, hurling the massive vehicle into the rear of the convoy, the massive prow of the truck hurling another Terran vehicle out of the way, fire from his 12.7mm battle-rifle aiding the demise of a second. Beside him, another insurgent produced an RPG borrowed from the command cell, loading the squat, brutish looking thermobaric round. Sticking the barrel out of the window, pulling the tube into his shoulder, he squeezed the trigger, hurling the two-stage anti-armour charge at the tank.

Should it hit the fragile rear, the hardened outer casing would punch a hole in the armour, delivering a lethal payload of incendiaries and fragmentation charges into the crew compartment.

[color=black]The Terrans were caught by surprise. The gunship went down first, the rocket-propelled grenades having punched a massive hole in the center, its pilots radioing for help in the precious seconds before it crashed along the highway, behind the tanker. It was no matter, the watch officers at Fort Veritas could see the flashes of fire in the sudden ambush, and Admiral Fatih Sayilgan was already scrambling another entire unit of gunships from the base the fifteen seconds to the impromptu battle...

"Hold on, Dad," Wurzman said, diverting her father's voice into her earpiece as she snapped the phone shut, sliding it into her pocket. Her father could hear the sounds of explosions and rapid machine gun fire coming through the tinny speakers, and Wurzman shouted, "Corporal, the guns!" but the corporal was already at the controls for the mounted 40mm gun atop the tank, returning fire in the general direction of the Saber and the terrorists with vibrations that shook the tank itself. "FULL SPEED AHEAD, BAKER!" Wurzman screamed at the driver, who slammed his foot on the gas, swerving wildly to the right along the empty eight lanes of the highway only seconds before the thermobaric round made contact with the side of the tank, exploding and sending the tank skidding across the highway. It rolled, the metal armor plates crunching, bent but not broken, and when it came to a stop, followed closely by the remaining vehicles, the soldiers inside were already taking positions with their standard issue assault rifles, firing in the direction of the insurgents.

The reinforcements were about seven seconds away.

Wurzman rolled from the damaged tank along with her men, taking cover behind the toppled vehicle. "I love you, Dad," she whispered, and her father said something on the other end, but she didn't quite hear it, too consumed with the sounds of gunfire. Wurzman reached for a sniper's rifle through the open hatch of the tank, checked the rack, and looked through the

The endgame approached fast, as one Saber was ripped to shreds by 40mm rounds, limbs and entrails thrown across the highway by the fireball as the fuel tank was punctured. The second Saber let rip a hail of high-explosives grenades from its own cannon, swerving to occupy the space directly infront of the tanker, its high profile shielding it from incoming fire.

Another thermobaric grenade arced over the roofline of the Saber, aimed at the damaged tank. Martanne grabbed the cinderblock from the footwell, dropping it onto the accelerator pedal, and picking up the detonator for the 250lbs of plastic explosive that had been pushed into the full tanker that lurched behind him.

A dull crunch split the air, as the tanker plowed the Saber out of its path, drawing level with the wreckage of the tank. Martanne raised his voice in one final howl of defiance, and squeezed the detonator, igniting the 1000 gallons of C4 held in the tank.

BOOM.

Wurzman's finger depressed on the trigger of the sniper rifle only moments before the explosives detonated. A massive heatwave passed through the entire area for hundreds of meters, followed almost immediately by an enormous shockwave.

Wurzman lay motionless, still, beneath the sun almost slipped entirely beyond its zenith. Nearly all of the Terrans were rendered unrecognizable by the explosives. The phone had been destroyed, and the connection to Wichita, Kansas severed.

The reinforcements arrived in time to be buffeted by the remants of the shockwave.

A voice in a signal carried by the cell towers sobbed helplessly. "Bailey? Bailey?"

The property was massive, 2,300 acres, and in the northern portion of them assive space was the assembly plant, and also a massive runway, among toher things. Dozens of black Humvees patroled the property border, two were always on station at the main gate, the only true entry way to the former airport, now made into the home of a former General of some sort, and also the home of a new line of Underlundian helicopter craft.

The two Dreads at the gate weren't expecting visitors that day, nor were they expecting tresspassers. The orders they recived were to bring any tresspassers they found to Thunderstrike himself, unharmed. And if any where to come by the maingate, direct them to the main office of the property. two massive structors, hangers most likely, were also seen. The two Dreads, ChinChin, and Nith used their hardlight holograms to make it appear as if there were humans at the guardgate. Those that worked at the assembly plant passed their ID codec through a scanner, and if it failed inspection, they were sent away. Now if a guest were to arrive, they'd be given a pass good for a few hours. Which to a Dread, was normally three human minutes. though sometimes if the guy had good reason to arrive, they'd give leeway, or an escort.

Austin Marshal rode along to the massive compex, the fluent hum of his MV Agusta F4 heralding his arrival. The TIB agent wasn't much concerned about his mission today, though he was a bit curious. This enormous property had sprung up just south of Wing City practically overnight. No documentations... no state-records... it was like its own little country in the middle of nowhere. Naturally the TIB wanted a bit more intelligence on a place this big with no real paperwork on it yet.

Austin stopped his bike at the gate, flashing his TIB Level Four clearance card. "Agent Marshall," he nodded to the guards, "I represent the Terran Intelligence Bureau. I'd like to meet with whoever's in-charge of this place as soon as possible." Austin's clearance was considerably high. He could see Prime Minister Cranford in ten-minutes tops with a flash of his badge. Of course, not everyone was as inclined to let a government agent into a secure premise...

Chinchin easily scanned the ID card as it was shown to him, TIB, he neverh eard o f them before. Without a word though over a secure channel to his fellow, the gate was opened, it slid in two directions and also down into the ground, level with the pavement surface, the thermacrete brand new. six meter tall fence of some strange blueish metal. "Step off the single tread transport please" said a gruff voice, it was Chinchin who spoke, He didn't like motorcyles, they could go where he couldn't... unless he blew up stuff in his path. "An escort will be provided for you."

Within one of the two massive hangarlike structures a man was at a security station, No words were spoken as another man approached and saw who was trying ot gain entry, A smirk appeared on the man's face, He nodded, An unsaid order was given, Chinchin was to drive the fellow to the main office, Nith was to guard the gate, Dukeduk would join Nith in Chinchin's place.

Thunderstrike was wondering what had kept the local government from looking into his operation. So far, it had taken them two weeks since he started, the Assembly plant had been in full production of the new SA-2 series for the Empire, and two fully platoons of the heilcopter gunships had been shipped already. It was merely a matter of time before the TIB got wind of them, doubtless they wondered what went on there, all that security for one thing. Heck two of those same slantback Humvees were driving everywhere in the City already, And those two rose many concerns in the city, mostly because they were driverless

For a factory of helicopter,s it was strangely very quiet where the people where

"Thanks," Austin nodded, obeying without objection as he allowed the escort to take him where he would. The agent frequently let his eyes wander, drifting over the building and its various hangars and complexes. He noted with suspicion the fenced walls and army of security. What was this place hiding...?

"So who's in charge here anyway?" Austin asked Chinchin as he drove. Perhaps he could get some information out of the escort while they went.

ChinChin, for the most part said very little to almost nothing, "General Stryker will speak with you." Was all he said, the purr of the turbo diesel engine of the Humvee was soon the only sound as ChinChin pulled onto a lane imprinted into the thermacrete runway. White and bronze lines in the surface marked where the roadway was. Moments passed in quiet as ChinChin pulled up towards a opening Hangar door. The massive door opened to ten feet wide, then to twelve, then fiveteen before it halted and started to close as ChinChin pulled the Humvee cleanly into the now brightly lit hangar. Dozens of brand new twin ductvent Helicopters were on one side. One of them being checked over by clearly workers from Wing City, or elsewhere. No words were spoken between the taller darkhaired football player like men however as ChinChin pulled into a parking space imprinted on the thermacrete floor. As he pulled in, a similar Hummer backed out of the ajcent space, only the one that pulled out was a larger model, longer, a station wagon type.

... Chinchin stepped out of his truck, motioning for Austin to follow him towards a railless stairway nearby to the upper floors. Computer parts were everywhere on the second level. along with a few small offices, and lastly another stairway, this one had one rail however, and led to the third level. A similar looking man to ChinChin stood there, Derthin though had a handlebar mustache though, it went with his rig, so to speak.

No words were spoken between the two men, ChinChin turned to his charge, "Follow Him, he will take you to General Stryker's office." Apparently ChinChin was only allowed to get so close to the guy, in truth he was scared slagless of the much larger Seeker. that ran the place. Derthin smirked slightly, he nodded then and said somewhat stiffly, "Follow me." And turned on his heel heading for a room down the seemingly one walled hallway that lead to the other offices and apparently rooms in the massive Hangar.

The doors were all removed from t heir hinges, allowing the TIB agent to see within each as he passed, one had a screen showing a street intersection, the roads l abeled were Mainstreet and third Avenue, basically downtown Wing City, and right on one of those corners were the Wing City Police Department. A targeting retacngle was also seen briefly as it scanned every car and truck in the police lot before moving on. Finally Derthin opened a door and stepped inside and to the side, "General Stryker sir, our guest, Mr Austin Marshal, TIB." Thunderstrike said nothing, as he was looking towards a screen on his back wall, he did however nod and motion Derthin that he could leave and wait downstairs. The screen showed a map of Wing City, every street was there. and those seemingly searched or otherwise marked in transparent red.

Austin Marshal took careful note of the technological complexity of the interior of the building. Holy crap... what was going on here? A helicopter manufacturer? Some private intelligence agency? The agent put on a friendly face as he was introduced to Stryker, taking a few steps towards the stoic man, ready to extend his hand in greeting should he turn around.

"General..." Austin nodded, "it's a pleasure to meet you. Quite the facility you've been running around here..." The agent warily eyed the television screens himself. This guy seemed to have a camera on every major part of the city.

Thunderstrike turned and shook Austin's hand "Likewise" He said in a calm, yet fatherly tone. His brilliant bright red eyes had a jovial look to them, as if full of energy ready to be unleashed. "Yes, Brand new lineup of a new helicopter series, curtesy of a benefactory to help get things started right." He motione to a few pieces of furniture nearby, two sofas, some easy chairs, some footrests. It was basically the Oval Office so to speak. "Do sit down. Surely you have many questions" he said as himself took a seat in one of the sofas. "I was starting to wonder when someone from Terra's small government was going to show up."

He had taken the pre-emptive on patrols to keep unwanted eyes out of his operations, mostly because sometimes the Dreads liked ot relax and be themselves in their natural protoforms. and unwanted eyes could spot them easy, so he had ot keep that from happening. The fact the property was twenty miles from Fort Veritas made it more of the utmost to keep unwanted eyes from going near the inner workings of the McKinley Samson Arena.

In truth he was told to be on guard for several prying eyes, most notably the Romans, They were doubtless searching for information on Swallowtail, the Mustang was a good sparkling, a good soldier, sweet as well. So it would take some doing to find her sister, he also wantedto speak to Headgame, an old friend of his. He just hoped he was around. And m aybe get some help in finding Downshift. Maybe...

Once Austin had taken his seat, Thunderstrike, in his guise of General Thundarious Stryker, spoke anew, "So, what can I do for the TIB ?" He asked, a faint smile on his face. clearly inviting and friendly. Thunderstrike was an older man, around seventy, balding, and had the look of one who could actually be a car mechanic and not a former general.

The agent passively took a seat on the intended furniture. "Well exactly as you said General Stryker," Austin returned the smile, "our 'small government' has founded quite a large bit of curiosity in your business here. Most privately-owned industries take up some sort of documentation with the Terran National Government before beginning production. We wouldn't want anything illegal going on here, after all." Austin smiled disarmingly.

"If you could just answer a few of my questions and sign a few papers," Austin continued, "I'll be out of your hair in no time. Perhaps you could start by telling me what you do here? Hellicopter manufacturer, right? Who do you sell too?" Austin's tone was polite and neat, not at all setting the scene for an interrogation. Not yet, at least.

Thunderstrike had to smile, "You answered your first question on your own," he said with a slight smirk. "A private company, never asked him who he worked for. I was approached by the man, said that he represented a much larger company and were interested in my property here, Got full commission for the use of my property and to run this place as I liked, no questions asked, he said his people would take care of the paperwork." Thunderstrike was never one for something like that, he didn't get the point of signing six dozen pieces of paper for a house of all things.

Small government, ha, they hadn't even tried to detain or stop Dask or his brother Dusk when they were on patrol in Wing City looking for a certain Decepticon female. "Most governments do. and I understand the need for documentations." He did not want to get into a government held sanctions on his operation. If that happened he'd need to reveal who he really was. And he wanted ot avoid that at all costs. "Considering that your government as you put it, wants documentation on everything from having a baby to buying a house to drawing a painting, Makes me think that it was toobusy to contact them when I was commisioned to begin production two weeks ago." He said.

Something illegal, well, there was a n ew bit of information towards him ot consider, having so much security did turn unwanted eyes towards him after all, in the case of the law. Doubtless some people thought this operation a drug traffic point. But it wasn't. "If you mean illegal in the sense of a drug gang you can look elsewhere. My men do not deal in such matters, it is below us." However Dask and Dusk where searching road by road for Downshift.

"Of course not, General Stryker," Austin nodded, "it's just a security precaution. I'm sure you know all about that." The agent smiled, reclining into the couch as he exhaled, appearing none the least concern with the present situation.

"Well it won't take much to get this little factory 'officialized' as you might call it," Austin reached into his suit, retrieving a small selection of papers, "you'll just need to sign a few documents, registering your factory under the Wing City district, and another allowing for a bi-annual inspection of the building to ensure your company is up-to-par with safety and sanitary conditions."

Thunderstrike steepled his fingers in quiet thought for a moment, "Tell me truthfully Agent Marshal, what does your government truly want on this world ? Why are they so interested in keeping a record that no one will look at ?" He looked towards the screen as strange writing scrolled across the left side of it, two smaller screens appeared on the larger screen, scanning of police cars apparently. Every offical looking car the twins scanned. and so far none of them returned an Energon reading of positive.

He put up a hand, in a stop motion apparently "That wont be needed I assure you." He said, the paperwork, as he had said before, had already been done, and only needed to transfer through the UE to the TNG offices. But with the recent backwash of so much going on, along with the sudden sinkhole in eastown, and the fireworks show north of the city. TNG was quite busy.

Though he had asked a rather important question, what did the mans government he worked for truly seek ? Why did they seek it ? They wanted to exert control over everything, and if they were unable to do that, have a stake in it. But he never got involoved in politics, but he knew where to go, and what people to push. and he was efficient at it. But what did this government truly want ? Why were they so interested in a business already contracted to another much larger powerhouse ?

Was this man right in placing his trust in a government that was wanting to extend its very young arms in every direction ?

Austin Marshal shrugged, "The Terran National Government simply wants to create the most peaceful and stable environment humanly possible for its citizens," Austin nodded, firing off the answer without a moment of hesitation. "I'd like to say that we don't need to keep records on every little detail... but you'd be suprised how many malevolent forces take root on Terra. This planet is a breeding ground for all sorts of crime and superhuman forces."

The agent backtracked quickly, "of course, that's not at all to say that I'm making an accusation against the establishment you've made here. Your factory seems like a fine place, and if you've really submitted the paperwork already as you say you have, then I see no problem in just waiting for those to get to us."

Thunderstrike had to chuckle, breeding ground indeed, as long as nobody dug up the Matrix of Leadership he had buried in the woods to the extreme south. "Something tells me otherwise, son." He replied calmly, and more concerned for a friend then someone trying to hold out against a government agent. But it didn't matter. "First and formost a new government, though small and starting to grow like this one, is already having troubles." He he lifted a remote off a coffee table and clicked it on, a screen winked on, showing various news reports, "It appears your own leader herself is also in ... hot water." He mused seeing several news reports of the leadership caste getting arrested. "Every government wants to do the same, they want to help their people, they want to rebuild.... But once in power, things change, things fail." He mused thoughtfully.

He had seen the same on Cybertron when the various factions were first formed, and then reformed, joined with others, until the Civil War started and Prima kicked the bucket. He left the Decepticons when he started to see what they were truly doing to their own world, wrecking it. It was why he left, and took his Dreads with him. traveled the stars, went back briefly and met a certain Sparkling and her sister. And now came here because of that same Sparkling pair,

Austin Marshal laughed youthfully, not at all phased by Thunderstrike's considerably wise summary of the TNG. Austin was even a bit startled at how true his words had hit home.

"If you want to talk politics, General Stryker, then stop by the government center sometime," Austin rose, putting the files back into his jacket as he extended his hand once more for Stryker.

"Once those files go through, we'll send an inspector over to take a look around that place. That shouldn't be for a few months, though," Austin explained, "thank you very much for your time, General." By the tone of Austin's voice, it was clear that the agent was done here.

Only he wasn't. Austin Marshall had only just started investigating this place.

Thunderstrike waved him to sit back down, government and political things now out of the way, he could really get into things, "I saw that you may have liked what you saw when you arrived downstairs with Chin, doubtless you're curious about the design." He chukcled, He could show the young human around, show him the assembly line, the testing grounds, maybe even take the guy for a flight. After all, it was not every day when someone wanted a duct-vent helicopter gunship produced on such a scale. This factory, with three six hour shifts and one eight hour shift, could churn out ten of the marvelous SA-2 Samsons, have them all tested and ready for transport within one hour. That was two fourty per Terran day. In the assembly line, the old airport terminal building, he h ad nothing to hide, it was the other Hangar where the Dreads hung out that he even kept his own human factory works out of at all times.

"I can show you the assembly line, maybe ake you up in one when we test the craft. Crews should be going on shift about now so things will be in full swing." At the most there were always two shifts running during the daylight. and since it was early afternoon at the time there was one shift ending and one currently in full gear.

At least he hadn't asked about the screen on the wall showing a full map of Wing City, along with two screens showing a live video feed from somewhere, apparently two differnet cameras, or the like, somewhere in Wing City. Scanning every offical car, be it a FBI car, a police car or a TNG officals car. Every car that looked offical was in a targeting reticle of some kind. But no weapons where fired, it was very strange.

At least he hadn't asked about the screen on the wall showing a full map of Wing City, along with two screens showing a live video feed from somewhere, apparently two differnet cameras, or the like, somewhere in Wing City. Scanning every offical car, be it a FBI car, a police car or a TNG officals car. Every car that looked offical was in a targeting reticle of some kind. But no weapons where fired, it was very strange. {Repost}

Abandoned Multiverse Characters Restored

Hey guys,

Just letting everyone know that I've gone through and found as many abandoned characters as I could and placed them back into their original creator's list of characters. There were several thousand characters who I could not determine the owner for, and as such I've placed those in the orphanage.

You're free to abandon them again if you wish!

Sincerely,
Your Friendly Multiversal GM

Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread

Hello folks!

There's been a lot of talk lately (mostly unpleasant and misunderstanding) about the invasion and occupation of Terra plot that Barney and I have been working on for over a month and which was recently unveiled publicly (apparently?) in the Multiverse. The idea behind most roleplay usually termed "nation roleplay" or "NRP" is not to overtake or dominate a large-scale roleplay, but to enrich and provide sociological, economic, and political background to such a setting. "Nation roleplay," or roleplaying that involves nation states, de facto state entities, or state-like factions, is intended to be a breeding ground for character development, provide a backdrop for character interactions, and create multiple avenues for diverse and engaging plotlines to develop at both micro and macro levels.

In my own writing, I focus predominantly on the development of individual characters and the dynamics of interactions among those characters. I find overarching, meta-plotlines like this invasion plotline to be an excellent impetus for engendering and fostering more vibrant and compelling character interactions and new plot ideas by creating multiple sources of tension. Characters need not have any high rank or formal affiliation with a faction in order to be impacted by larger events (think of what happens to average citizens when any country goes to war), nor will they necessarily be directly affected in any significant way (think about the everyday lives of most Americans during the Iraq war.) But you, the writers and roleplayers, will have a myriad of opportunities to create, develop, and form deeper and more interesting plots to feature your character(s), given a new set of macro-circumstances.

Both Barney and I welcome and encourage anyone who is interested in active involvement in the invasion plot at any level (very active to vaguely active) in any way whatsoever to talk to either or both of us about your ideas, character(s), and plans. A large number of people have already done so, including the following people:

- krumbla -- I can't remember his idea (I'm sorry, krumbla; talk to me when I'm not sick as a dog?)
- Mr. Crow -- News media company to be formed before the invasion and to provide support to the resistance or rebels following the occupation
- curtsive -- Vigilante anti-terrorist organization to conduct terrorist operations against the occupation
- Alasund De'astio -- plays the Democratic Coalition, allies of the current (canonical to Ylanne) Terran government
- Nemo -- typically handles the military side of the Terran government, as well as Randin Kaye from the Wing City Police Department
- DemiKara -- whose character Aerilyn recently joined the Terran Intelligence Bureau
- Konstantein -- plays a daywalking vampire who will act against the occupation
- AzricanRepublic -- plays the UCON, which has a military presence near Terra and supports the TNG
- Marcus -- plays the Council, which has a vested interest in defending Terran sovereignty
- Tearen Wover -- plays VARIAtech corporation, which is offering military assets to the Terrans

And I'm certain I've forgotten someone (in which case, if that's you, I do sincerely apologize. It's one a.m. and I'm still sick.)

Barney and I have sketched out an overview of how we expect the plot to run from beginning to middle to end; however, despite the fact that both of us obviously plan on the plot following that sequence, it can change its course at any point depending on the ideas and in-character actions of any other folks who decide to get involved.

Some of the plots to occur during the invasion and occupation, both planned and still in discussion, already discussed include the following:

- Arianne Drulovic subjected to an order of indefinite detention
- Democratic Coalition rescuing Drulovic from Aschen custody
- Terran resistance kidnapping self-proclaimed God-Emperor Raphael McGregor
- Drulovic psychologically "breaking" McGregor with his estranged wife Cally
- Hataf attack against Aschen Empire holdings
- Guerrilla warfare between Democratic Coalition, UCON, and Terran forces against Aschen forces
- Taiyou attack on Aschen-controlled Terra
- Terran Independent underground dissident publication
- Jelisaveta Drulovic and family taking Natalija Drulovic's children off-world
- Rubano Malijin assuming power as regional Governor of Terra
- Public executions of political dissidents
- Internal rebellion against Aschen government by dissident Aschen leaders

I strongly encourage anyone and everyone to seek me out to talk plot, character, and ideas. Both existing and newly created characters can be involved with any plot, either existing or newly proposed by you. If you feel that this planned plotline (invasion and occupation) will unnecessarily or unfairly interrupt or alter your own plans for character or plot development, and you passionately want to retain your own plans as much as possible, please talk to me. I am very obsessive and have high levels of anxiety about maintaining the integrity and substance of my plans, so I know how you feel, and am more than happy to collaborate with you to work out something that satisfies you and makes logical sense.

If I'm not in the chat at any given time, I can be reached via private message, or by email at trealistorm (at) yahoo.com. Messages to that email address are delivered directly to my smartphone, which I check obsessively all day long, and will be read and replied to as soon as possible. (Usually within twelve hours, and sometimes within as little as ten minutes.) I want to hear your ideas and opinions (but please be polite to me; I do have feelings and am a real person over here), and I want to make sure that you don't feel like I am trampling over you or your character(s) or your plot(s).

[OOC] Taylor's Bar (Multiverse Location)

This is the official OOC thread for Taylor's Bar. I'll post staff, recent events, and other information about Taylor's here.

Taylor's Bar is a location owned by my character, Gabriel Taylor. The Bar/Hotel/Casino is extremely fortified and secured. Each entrance has a metal detector and the place is usually fully staffed with employes. Taylor handles all of his business in house and law enforcement is nearly never called. Various precautions have been set around the bar to account for the magical inhabitants of Terra and keep it's inhabitants safe.

News Announcements

Taylor’s Casino and Hotel Grand Opening!

Gabriel Taylor, multimillionaire and owner of Taylor’s Bar, a successful nightclub and hang out for the rich and wealthy, has moved onto his next venture; A casino and hotel. Patrons of Taylor’s bar may have noticed construction going on around back as well as various signs and posters apologizing for the inconvenience; The large tower coming up behind the bar would be rather noticeable to say the least. Last month we got a word with Gabriel Taylor’s manager and he’s said that he has big plans for this place.

“Terra’s never had a place quite like this; Gabriel’s casino will be the first. The casino is the largest in the world and it’s also the most secure. Not only won’t we be hit, but we can’t be hit. We’ve brought in security experts from around the world to devise the most advanced security system Terra has seen. We invite anyone who believes they have what it takes to try and rob us, but I won’t be responsible for your injuries or the blow to your self-esteem. Try to teleport through our walls? Have fun getting stuck inside of them. We’ve worked with various experts in the field of magic and technology to create a sort of ‘teleportation displacer’ as well as armed our guards with anti-magic grenades. Although obviously not 100 percent effective, it gets the job done.

The hotel is large and extravagant. It has everything you’d ever need, ranging from a five star restaurant to indoor pools, and a top of the line spa. Our 2nd floor hosts a large assortment of stores holding anything you can think of including the finest clothing and the newest technology. “

The casino and hotel’s grand opening is April 9th at 7 pm. The party at Taylor’s bar goes from 7 pm to 2 am, but good luck getting in. The guest list is packed and with the security at Taylor’s it’s going to be difficult sneaking in.

Re: [OOC] The Gaia Stones [IC Fantasy Event]

We have a an Official Group now. Whoohoo. I will edit some more details later on in the day due to my exhaustion.

[OOC] The Gaia Stones [IC Fantasy Event]

Image

The Gaia Stones is a plot that I am currently GMing within The Multiverse on a planet deep within the Milky Way system where technology is not allowed and will not be able to function. The world is ruled completely by magic and magic law. The story consists of people being summoned to the planet Gaia (if they did not spawn on the planet themselves) and were brought to The Ruby Flask. They were given a task to follow a powerful mage named Ry'nn Traeger to collect stones which would unseal powerful weapons that had once been used to forge the kingdom. The purpose behind the quest beyond that remains to yet be seen.

PLAYERS
Following Ry’nn Traeger as played by Prose
CptxMorgan: Paul-Henri Chevalier - unknown
Namaru: Jack Krutz - unknown
lilyWhite: Sol and Ebony - unknown

Following Demi Edenhelm as played by Prose
qbsuperstar03: Gary Mandolera - Skuldgrim
Konstanstein: Karasaad Vidathari - Artrea
xTheSmokex: Mikhail Kahldmek - Eshatt

Following Morim Ilthond as played by Prose
Marcus: David Trapspringer - unknown
Nevan: Emys'i - S'rit

THE WEAPONS

Skuldgrim the Slayer of Undead
Skuld was the first sword forged on the world of Gaia in the Xanaldra Forge. It is a legendary blade that has not been seen for a hundred generations. It once served Gaia when the undead were a threat to all living beings on the Mother’s soil and vanquished The Risen Horde during the age of Those Who No Longer Roam sent by Eras.

The blade of the sword is long and elegant with a pointed edge that is perfect for piercing into armor. Down its length is the engraving of Sagittae—a beautiful woman—in finely etched lines on one side and the other is the engraved representation of Atargatis—a strong and lithe man. The edges are blunt and glow with a strange red flame from enchantment. The blade and hilt are made from a very light weight and mysterious metal.

The pommel of the sword is marked with an engraving which represents the goddess Sagittae; one of the stars of Gaia and the Mother’s protector from the evil god Eras. The sheath is blood red. It is unbreakable and will never shatter.

It is a sword meant to battle the undead which roam mindlessly on Gaia; skeletons, reanimated corpses, and shades. But with all swords of power, there is a weakness. It cannot kill any living soul and may only be used on the undead.

Artrea the Healing Gauntlets
Artrea were gauntlets worn by a legendary man named Lysander Enlight. The gauntlets were hidden beneath the soil of The Exalted Mountains and were used to light the world when Eras had almost consumed his siblings. For seven turnings of Gaia had Artrea served to the be sole beacon on hope for all living things on the world.

The gauntlets are made from a mysterious metal which is completely white in color, almost as if they were made of our pearl. But they are as harder than any metal known to the current world as the knowledge died with Those Who No Longer Roam. They will light the path when light is needed most.

Glittering feathers protrude backwards and out from the wrist. The fingers are sharpened like ten deadly claws that can grip any surface short of diamonds. It is easy to scale a wall with the gauntlets. But that is not what make the weapons deadly. So sharp in fact are they, that they can pierce through most armor and can slice through human flesh like a razor through parchment. But their greatest power is the ability to touch others and heal their mortal wounds through the use of Will.

There is always a weakness that comes with weapons of great power. Those who adorn the gauntlets and use its abilities will soon find their eyesight failing on them over a long period of time. All those that have ever used them—even once—have gone blind with age. And when they are used to heal, the adorner will find themselves very drained as if their own life-force had been passed into the other in order to save their life.

Questions, suggestions, and comments should be directed here, especially when chat is busy or when I am not online or active in the chat.

Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread

Actually if you want it as a news report, at least offically so, there is a News Thread for the Multiverse as a whole

Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread

Sangrei's only statement was this. "Hey, I was hungover, and I got an iced tea with honey. How was I supposed to know that the bear thing was gonna come over and wreck the bar looking for goddamn honey?"

Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread

Gambit's Bar was drained of all its honey by a mysterious yellow bear!

Image

Unfortunately, Wing City police did not know this and were left in confusion to find only a yellow teddy bear with a red shirt at the scene of the crime.

The only customer under record who had ordered a glass of honey that day was a Sangrei Friedn. Responsibility for the bill and possibly the stolen stock of honey have yet to be decided. Police still find Friedn a suspect.

HAHAHAHAHA. The conclusion isn't coming til closer to the summer. Frequency of activity and times when the folks who are involved currently has dropped quite a bit for a variety of reasons, and I don't anticipate the conclusion to Family Pictures for a bit. That said, for those who pay attention to the faction-side of things, the announcement that elections have taken place for the Terran National Government will be posted soonish (i.e. within the next two weeks insh'Allah.)

Those who might be expecting me for roleplay, I will have no internet access this Thursday through Sunday this week except from my phone or if I can access someone else's computer with internet access. You will only be able to reliably reach me via email, which goes to my phone. If you don't have mine, any staff member does, as would anyone who regularly roleplays with me. Thanks!

Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread

There's no real procedure to get "started" in the Multiverse. The hub of activity is generally Gambit's Bar, but you can grab a roleplay partner and head anywhere. The sky's the limit!

Re: The Multiverse: The Official OOC (uber)Thread

I'm new here, and I just made my first character. How do I get started in the multiverse? I'd like to stick mostly to Terra to keep as close to my character's home as possible, but if I have to move, I will.

If you want to check out my character, go to roleplay/the-multiverse/characters/lorenzo-caracciolo
By the way, that is not near my real name, so don't worry.

[OOC] yea retarded moment

i managed to make myself feel like a retard just now i just posted a 86 word post in the wrong area . . . this is ooc . . . i posted it in IC so now i feel like a retard but we all have our moments so ^^ yea

You can create and play anything that you like in the Multiverse. There is no acceptance or review of characters, just create the character and start RPing!

Hello folks! Re: The Multiverse: Where Do We Go?

Um. Okay. Bear with me. I read through what posts I saw, and took note on things that were said to the best of my ability. Here's where I stand on the Multiverse, where the Multiverse is to me, and yeah. I guess.

I agree that there needs to be a set baseline. For instance, the name of the bar. The name of the world that the bar is on. The name of cities, nearby things like that. There can be a set system of government, the Wing City Police Department, but their "jurisdiction" only stretches so far. Some of the most interesting roleplay I've seen/participated in has involved characters coming from other worlds and having to either deal with, work around, or confront the system of government set in the Multiverse.

Alternately, some of the worst and most frustrating MV roleplaying I've seen has been .. involving characters coming from other worlds and having to deal with, work around, or confront the system of government set in the Multiverse.

I've always seen the MV as a hallways connecting various rooms. The rooms are your own story, your own ideas, your own canon, your own characters; it's where your friends gather and you control things. When you're out in that hall, however, all bets are off. That isn't to say you can pull things out of your ass, but you accept and understand a certain amount of handicap.

For instance, my character Liesha Kennicot is a Special Agent in the United States government, from her Earth. She's aware that there are other Earths, and that she doesn't had any control when in the MV. That's fine. However, when someone else walks up to her and starts trying to give her orders claiming that their faction has taken over mine without a single bit of IC content, that's when things start to go awry.

Reading back over the original post, it seems that the Multiverse has as much substance as you give it. It's a sandbox location where you can freely interact with new characters that you might not get a chance to. For a while, I used the MV as a way to try and test out ideas with people before making a roleplay out of it. You get your circles of friends (as Patch mentioned, his crew of eight) and you go at it. Sometimes you meet in the middle, and sometimes you don't.

And at the risk of ranting, that is all I have to say about that.
