OOC Notes
Matthew walked into the new school close beside his twin brother, wondering what life would be like here.
OOC Notes
Ellie ran her fingers through her hair as she walked in. All heads turned to look at her and she smiled. She was liked by everyone. She glanced over at the two boys and smiled. She could tell they were new. She walked to her locker and opened it. She looked at herself in the mirror that was in her locker. She loved being popular but sometimes it did get annoying.
OOC Notes
David glanced at his brother Matthew and grinned his signature grin. Here, things would be different. Here, things would be better. He'd make sure of it. He was nervous about the new start, of course. But anything had to be better than before. He noticed a pretty girl walk by, and when she smiled at them, he smiled back with a slight dip of his head. He'd play it safe for now, he decided, checking out the layout of the school on the sheet of paper he'd gotten from the office. But maybe soon, he'd be able to really open up about his life. Yeah right, he thought, the grin disappearing from his face. Things will be just like last time. And the time before that, and the time... David stopped the nagging voice in his head with quite a bit of effort, preferring to focus on the present. And at the present, he was simply a new student, in a new school, and that was more than enough to make him nervous. Forgetting everything else, David checked his locker number and combination before opening it and beginning to place what items he didn't need inside. When he was prepared for class, he glanced at his brother. "Ready to go, Matty?" He knew his brother didn't like that nickname, but whatever. It made David smile.
OOC Notes
She finished and slammed her locker closed and walked over to the two of them. "I'm Ellie. You are?" She looked at the two of them. This looked like it was going to be an interesting year. She wondered why anyone would want to move to this small town though. She looked around at the other people who were already heading to their classes. She saw the boy's schedule in his hand and smiled when she realized they had the same classes.
OOC Notes
David grinned at Ellie. It was a practiced, easy grin, used to keep people around him from seeing the darkness he felt inside. "Hey, Ellie. Nice to meet you. I'm Dave and this is my brother, Matthew." He glanced down at his schedule in his hand, and up at the clock. Not much time to get to class. Good. He wasn't quite ready to start seriously small-talking to this girl. No matter how friendly she seemed. "We're new here," he continued, "And, from the look of it, about to be late to class. Nice meeting you. See ya around."
David turned to walk away before realizing he didn't actually know where he was going. Turning back around, he sheepishly said, "Uh... perhaps you'd be kind enough to tell me how I get to room 118? History." He rolled his eyes before adding sarcastically, "What a great way to start the day."

OOC Notes
Matthew rolled his eyes and couldn't help but smile at his twin, David could seem rash to some people occasionally. Matthew considered himself more thoughtful than his twin but he admired David's courage and smooth ways. He liked watching him flounder a little with the pretty girl.
OOC Notes
She looked at him and smiled a bit. "I'm heading there. Actually they told me I had to show you around." She rolled her eyes and walked over to the two of them. "Follow me." She walked to their history class and they were just in time. She sat in the back and put her things down. She ran her fingers through her hair and looked at the teacher who was handing out books.
OOC Notes
Matthew followed her, sitting on her left side when they reached their class, "Do we have the same schedules?" he asked her as the teacher started passing out papers for the class. He wondered how long it would be until him and David adjusted, or didn't adjust fully, more like. He hoped this stay would go well.
OOC Notes
As the time ticked by Matthew felt his phone buzz in his pocket.
OOC Notes
He made sure the teacher wasn't paying attention before sliding it out to look at the text.
OOC Notes

OOC Notes
David glanced over at his brother and raised an eyebrow. The first day and he was already getting texts? Maybe it was from someone else. Someone from the past. Catching Matthew's eye, he mouthed, "Lucia?" and waited for an affirmative. He liked Lucia. She was a pretty sweet gal and one of the few close friends the boys had. Glancing back up at the teacher, David took some notes on the breakdown of grades for the year and tapped his pencil impatiently on the desk. He was hungry. And not just kind of hungry, but seriously, painfully, starving. Licking his lips, David attempted to focus on History and only History. But, as everyone knows, history is full of blood and pain. And it was all David could do not to freak out. Running his tongue over his teeth, he thought about trees and flowers and going places in his car... which then lead to visions of bloody car accidents, and emergency rooms, and blood transfusions... today was not going to be a good day.
OOC Notes
Matthew nodded and passed him the phone so he could see the conversation, hoping to distract him from what he knew he must be going through. He always tried to be supportive of his brother and help him in any way he could though he didn't agree with his 'eating' habits. He would help him catch drug dealers and other bad guys to drink from instead of innocent citizens.
OOC Notes
David took the phone and read the conversation, taking a minute to text Lucia before returning the phone to Matthew. Hey Lucia. Miss you. Come see us soon. - Dave
He gave his brother a grin that he hoped was reassuring. As hungry as David was, he wouldn't risk this new chance. Even if it meant having to fake an illness so that he could go home; David was exceptionally good at playing sick - he had to do it a lot more often than Matthew. He'd take care to make sure that things went well here. It had been his fault that they'd had to leave their last home. He wouldn't do that to his brother again.

OOC Notes
She looked over at the two brothers. She shook her head and sighed. She wondered where her sister was. She knew she had come to school today and she didn't have any reason to be checked out. She laid her head on her desk and sighed a bit. She wanted to go home.

Re: [OOC] The New Kids
Just a head's up - I'm going to be out of town for the next 2 weeks. I'll still have internet access barring some catastrophic laptop meltdown, but I won't necessarily be on often. Although I will be completely off the radar next Thurs - Sun while we camp.
Re: [OOC] The New Kids
Sure. David and Matthew are having a visit from an old friend of theirs. They're going for a walk right now and ran into your character's sister - by ran into, I mean just passed her on the street.
Re: [OOC] The New Kids
Do we want to skip ahead or keep the scene going? Either is fine, but I don't want to drag it out too long if others are waiting to play.
Re: [OOC] The New Kids
Okay. Thanks. :) I'm pretty excited, even though I have absolutely no idea what my deep dark secret is. :)
Re: [OOC] The New Kids
I'm considering playing one of the boys but I would like to know what their secret is in order to figure him out completely.
