Introduction
In the year 2025 the government has created a new military unit, a force dedicated to capturing mutants. They do not ask questions, they simply arrive on the seen, capture them, and no one ever hears from them again. This unit has been named the Mutant Tracking and Containment Division, or MTCD for short. It was created when, in the '90s, we almost witnessed the Human-Mutant War. Thankfully it was avoided, but in the process Xavier lost his life. As an act of kindness, the US President agreed that, as long as the group known as the X-Men, along with the students at the Xavier Institute, would not be bothered by the MTCD, so long as they followed the rules.
This lead to a sort of race. The MTCD were sent out to capture any and all mutants, but they couldn't touch and X-Men member, nor any student of the Xavier Institute, and so they would have to capture the mutants before they could be claimed by the X-Men. This has lead to a huge increase in the number of students at the Institute, which is causing problems.
With Xavier gone, the X-Men began to fall apart, slowly the members were leaving, or disappearing, while the number of students needing to understand their powers rose. Storm has taken over as the head of the Institute, Beast takes care of all the business matters and dealing with the government, and Nightcrawler has stayed on to help in anyway he can. Additions to the staff include Iceman and Darwin, as well as some new mutants where have been at the Institute for a time now and have gotten control of their abilities. This doesn't solve anything, though, because there are still just too many of them. This had lead some of the newer mutants to wonder if maybe they should leave and begin their own group.
-=-=-
So the basic idea of this roleplay is that the X-Men are falling apart, taking in too many mutants so that the government can't get a hold of them and place them in prisons and experiment on them.
During all of this, a group of mutants from the institute are planning on, basically, running away, starting a safehouse for mutants so that the X-Men won't be bothered by them anymore. They also hope to stop the government from continuing their actions.
The MTCD are using three things to capture mutants.
1. Sentinels.
These are not only the giant purple robots we all remember, but there are two new versions. Smaller, human sized androids that look like normal people, and a large, bird-like version, used for capturing and transporting individual mutants out in the open who are on the run.
2. Agents.
Aside from normal MTCD members, there are those who have been given artificial mutations, which can be turned on and off, but are weaker than a real mutant.
3. Anti-Mutant Cubes/AMC.
These are cubes that vary in size and made out of an unknown material that somehow produces an energy that negates mutations.
Things will be explain in more detail in the OOC, but there are the basics. I would rather not see anyone being one of the original X-Men, but you can be their child or have similar mutations. This is not going by any specific timeline of the Marvel universe, so feel free to use any of the mutants as potential parents or for whatever else. As people sign up, their history will shape which mutants are still around and so forth, though I do have a few select mutants who will and will not be around.
Character Sheet-

Mutant Name: ('code' name)
Side: (x-men, MTCD, mutants in general)
Age:
Physical Appearance: (normal looks as well as any that occur with mutation)
Clothing: (normal clothing as well as any other outfits, like for the X-Men or MTCD)
Mutation/Abilities: (don't go overboard here)
Equipment: (anything your character carries with them)
History: (personal history)
Family History: (state which, if any, mutants your character is related to, and how they are related.)
Other:
Rather basic, I know. Feel free to add to this. Pics are fine, but at a little detail in there as well please. as I said before, things will be explained in more detail in the OOC, so try not to worry too much about that just yet. As characters are created, if they are related to one of the originals I'll try and keep a tab so that we don't get, like 10 children of Cyclops and Jean Grey or something like that.
If you have any questions, or would like to reserve anything, please feel free to PM me or say something in the OOC. Please wait till I get my character up before reserving anything first so you won't get denied right off.

OOC Notes
It was early, far earlier than Romeo liked to be up anyway. Normally he would wake up around seven and start getting things ready for the day; get dressed, plan for his class, decide what to cook everyone for lunch, things like that. Today, however, he had been woken up at five in the morning by Nightcrawler, asking if he could take care of things today. That meant he had to not only cook breakfast, which he was finishing up now, but also he would have to get all of the classes going, and basically would be in charge for the day. This was because Nightcrawler, Storm, and Iceman, as well as a few students, were off to California, or something like that, to track down another potential student.
"Like we don't have enough of them already..." He thinks bitterly, setting the final plate. Looking over he spots one of the students, with the ability to project her voice. "Hey, um, kid, could you wake the others?" There were so many now that unless they'd been given an official mutant name he had no idea who most of them were.
The kid nods and heads over to the stairway which leads up to the second floor, where all the rooms are. A moment later most of the mansion shakes a little as she yells and wakes them all up. As the kids come pouring down the stairs Romeo moves out of the way and takes himself outside onto the veranda, or as he calls it, the back porch, a glass of orange juice in hand.
"Good morning Romeo," came an odd, slightly familiar by now voice from behind him. "Have you seen Ororo this morning?"
"Hm? Oh, hey Darwin," Romeo says, turning around, watching as the mutant's skin darkens in the light of the morning sun, "No, but Nightcrawler told me they were going out on a mission, west coast I think. Something about a girl with the abilities to create tidal waves and tsunami and such...I think. I was mostly asleep."
"I see. And you are in charge then? That is good, it means they respect you," Darwin says, giving him one of his creepy smiles, "You know, you remind me a lot of Logan, both of you were loners, even here among all these friends."
"How can I call any of them friends? I only know a handful of them by name..." Romeo responds, sighing before taking a long drink. This place is too crowded for it's own good. Maybe I should leave, like Wolverine...I mean, my dad. Hell, maybe some of them would come with me...no, I doubt that. No one actually trusts me here, I'm still just a lone wolf... he thinks, leaning on the railing and staring out at the horizon.

A dark shadow loomed over the city, flying like a silent, mechanical, cloaked bird of prey stalking its quarry. Except for the occasional reflection of light that caused a twinkle on its otherwise invisible surface, the Bird Sentinel was utterly undetectable--by any ordinary human, anyway. The sun had barely risen over the horizon, and down below a few people were already going about their business, yawning tiredly, wishing they could have gotten in a few more minutes of sleep. For two particular people in this city, however, sleep was not a problem, and for one of those two people, there were about to be far more important problems.
The Bird Sentinel swooped down low over the darker part of the city, closing in down on the slummy, downtrodden section of the area. It flew straight down and then through a winding alleyway, where the sun was blotted out by suffocating smoke and by crosswalks built across the roofs of the decrepit houses. As the Bird neared its destination, it uncloaked, revealing a sleek metallic surface covered with lights and electronics. Soon directly before it was its destination--a dark figure leaning against the brick wall of one of the alley walls. The Bird landed on the figure' shoulder, latching on with two mechanical 'feet' and relaying its observations to its master; the Sentinel Android known to humans as Isabelle Vieira seemed to listen for a moment, and then nodded her head. So this was the location of the mutant. It was unfortunately close to the Xavier Institute--but Isabelle had been far nearer to that most wonderful of schools than she was now anyway, and was unafraid. I have taken on the mutants of the Xavier Institute previously, after all.
Now all she needed to do was track down that mutant and procure her for the MTCD.

Hope was once again back in the present timeline, and everything was how hse remembered it more or less, mutants fleeing to the X Men seeking refuge, and the MCTD seeking to capture ,and experiment on mutants before the X Men could get to them. Hope intended to change that, she knew she was one of MTCD's most wanted mutants, if not most wanted mutant. But she intended to do what her 'father' Cable had raised her to do, to liberate the mutant race, and hopefully bring peace with regular humans, the one's who weren't extremists who wanted to persecute there kind for little or no reason. She was hiding her signature from Cerebro, not wantnig the X Men to be bothered with her, they had enough problems on there hands, she had been gathering together pockets of resistance against MTCd, mutants who didn't want to flee to Xavier's safe-house, they wanted to fight for there rights, she was bringing the groups together in California, and she'd managed to take control of a building, using an Illusion to make it appear to be an abandoned building, only allowing the mutants she'd contacted to see through the mind trickery.
So far a small group is gathering, and if things work out within the year, Mutants will be free one more. She thought to herself, as the small group come around fifteen people, she spoke to them about there goals. "Will keep gathering mutants, the Xavier Institute is full, were not the institute, we'll train perhaps, but were the resistance, my name is Hope Summers, code-name Messiah, and no I don't consider myself a God, it's a name someone very important in my life called me. Now then I've been gathering together information regarding the MTCD, there agents, and the locations of there various head-quarters, we'll start by just taking down street agents, raiding head-quarters, I assaulted a military base a few days ago, and gathered some weaponry. "She'd illusioned the weapons, and disabled the illusion around the weapons she'd gathered. "Now then grab what you want." She grabbed the weapon she'd obtained in the future, an advanced futuristic high caliber weapon with different levels of energy to be concentrated. "Any Questions, ideas all that come to me! I've also got some food stored up, it's mostly canned food, but it'll have to do!" With that the group dispersed gathering weapons, and going into conversation, as Hope made sure her weapon was functioning, and went to commune with the group.

Walking around the grounds of Xavier Institute, Kurai stopped to sit underneath a tree and think. She liked being alone around nature when she wanted to think. Humming a song she liked, she stared down at the beautiful green grass. If only I was useful, she thought. Changing things from one form to another, blah. My own-- she stopped. She didn't like to think about her. She wasn't there for me. But then again, neither was Dad. He was... there, in body, just not in help. Never cared. I doubt he wanted me in the first place.
Stop that, a voice said in my head. Of course he did.
Then why'd he ignore me when I tried to be closer to him? Maybe he was just-- What, busy? Busy with his MTCD job to care about his mutant daughter? His freak of a child?
You're not a freak.
Then what would you call Mom?
Regular, the same as you. But we're not regular. We're different. Too different. I'm not Superman.

The breeze felt good against the skin on his face, as Deadpool took a rare moment to take off his mask, looking out at the city from his perch on top of a gargoyle. The watch on his right wrist released two short bursts of static, telling him... something. Deadpool reached into his utility belt and pulled out a piece of paper, fumbling with it for a second before unfolding it, looking over all of the codes on the page until he found what two squawks meant.
regroup
"Right... I knew that" Deapool said to himself, putting his mask back on before taking a step over the gargoyle, falling a story or two before landing on the ground below, taking a moment to let his legs heal before moving on to meet back up with Isabelle. Deadpool felt his cheeks warm up as he thought about her. He knew she was a robot, but she still looked good in her human disguise. He had learned after a few missions with her though, that saying that out loud got him punched in the face... and robot punches hurt a lot more than human ones.
After a few moments of leaping about the city, Deadpool arrived in the alley Isabelle was standing in, saluting as he stood before her.
"Deadpool, reporting for duty" He said, followed by a slight chuckle, but who could blame him? Duty totally sounds like doodie.
"So what do we got this time? Super strength? Super speed? Extraordinary dancing ability? Oh wait...that's me" Deadpool said before he began break dancing.

Isabelle had been preparing to walk on when the signal came; two rapid bursts of noise in succession, a code. Regroup. With, of course, that most delightful of comedians, Deadpool.
As if thinking of the name had summoned him, Isabelle had no sooner thought this than Deadpool appeared before her, striking a dramatic salute that was returned with a raised eyebrow and a curt nod. The next second, of course, he had begun break dancing, much to Isabelle's...apparent indifference, as far as her expression went. Her statement, however, suggested a note of sarcasm. "Truly we would be lost without your almighty skills on the dance floor." The irony, the sarcasm in the words were hidden, but they were present; as a learning, thinking android designed to simulate human behaviour, Isabelle had progressed from a cold robot without emotion and without feeling to...well, what appeared to be a cold human, but one that had come to possess muted but discernible feelings, even a sense of humour. She had learned to express the artificial impulses, the simulated emotions using minuscule nuances in voice and expression that were difficult, almost impossible, to pick up for anyone who had not seen 'evolution' of Isabelle's themselves, anyone who had not actually had prolonged contact with the Sentinel.
As for Deadpool, Isabelle confessed (to herself) he was one of the few humans she had ever met whom it was not simple and easy to predict. One moment he could be demonstrating his deadly accuracy by taking out an entire room of hostiles; the very next second, he could be flirting with you as if all he had done was pluck a flower (though he had long learned to keep his flirtatious habits separate from Isabelle). He possessed powerful combat capabilities and yet in all the time Isabelle had known him (which had been several missions across her short life) she had never seen the man actually being serious, as if life was but a game to him.
Without a word, Isabelle strode past Deadpool; the Bird Sentinel perched on her shoulder in a sort of 'sleep mode' reawakened, the lights and panels across its surface humming to life before returning to the silence they operated at. The Bird rose slowly, cloaking as it rose from her shoulder, and then took off, controlled by an independent but fully functional 'sector' of Isabelle's awareness. As the Bird boosted into the air without a noise, the taciturn Sentinel turned back to Deadpool. "Confirmed to possess the ability to generate and manipulate flame," she spoke tersely. Her next words were hesitantly looser. "I suspect this one knows the MTCD is after him, so we should expect a confrontation. I've tracked him down to an apartment building in Second District."

Deadpool stopped his dancing in mid movement, his weight being supported by his neck while his legs were attempting to make a letter C, and his arms were held behind his back. He thrust his hands forward and pushed himself off the ground, landing on his feet, making the pose gymasts do when they stick the landing before walking over and poking Isabelle's cheek.
"Did you just make a joke?" He asked, then his expression brightened and he hugged her, sobbing as if he were overcome with joy. "The Blue fairy finally made you into a real girl. Gepetto will be so happy" He said through his tears, though his crying was hard to distinguigh from genuine to very elaborate sarcasm. After Isabelle's retribution of his little performance, Deadpool looked in the direction of the second district, and let out a whistle.
"You'd think someone that can shoot fire out of his face could afford better than that. Mutants get no respect, you know what I'm saying Izzie?" he said, looking over at Isabelle, awaiting her reaction to his new nickname for her.
Not too long after his antics in the alley were complete, the duo set out for the second district, with Deadpool only making two fart jokes the whole trip.

X-Team
"Ghoul, are you picking up anything?" Storm asks as she takes the blackbird down, using stealth to hide it from view while they track down the mutant known only as Tsunami for now, "We should be within range for you to be able to pick up on any mutants in the area."
In the back of the jet, a girl with long black hair and red eyes closes them and stretches out her arms. From her body several specter like tendrils of blue energy snake out and disappear through the walls. She remains silent for a moment, then finally speaks when her 'snakes' find some mutants. "I'm picking up something...I don't think it's the girl we're after though, it feels like a mass of mutants, all together in one building, moving about. I'm not sending my snakes in that place," she says in a low voice that almost seems to have no feeling to it at all. "However...I do feel one mutant. Whoever it is they're running towards the beach. I'm guessing that's our girl."
"Alright then, Bobby, you and Kurt take Ghoul with you. I'll catch up shortly..." Storm says.

back in New York
"It doesn't matter what you call them, only how you treat them," Darwin says, placing a hand on Romeo's back before turning and walking away.
"Right...whatever that means..." Romeo says with a sigh once he was back inside and the doors separated the two of them. "That guy gives me the creeps." Downing the last of his orange juice he looks out over the yard and notices one of the students lounging beneath a tree in the yard. For a moment he thinks What would my dad do? but then he realizes that's a bad idea and decides to go over himself and see what's going on.
"Hey, kid, everything alright?" he asks, walking over to Kurai, though he cannot actually recall her name, real or mutant. "Aren't you hungry? Everyone else is inside eating breakfast, you don't wanna miss out, right?" Yet again he felt as if he had no idea what he was doing, which was actually the truth. He couldn't recall her name, let alone whatever her mutation might be. For all he knew she was some kind of plant girl who ate dirt or something. I have to start keeping a notebook or something. How are the others able to keep up with so many names and faces? he wonders to himself, about to sit down on the opposite side of the tree when his communication watch goes off.
"Yeah, this is Romeo?" he answers, pressing a button to stop the beeping.
"Romeo, good, I got the code right," this was one of the vices he couldn't give a face, which annoyed him, "This is Tech, the guy in the basement...anyway, listen, I picked something up on this mutant monitor thing. There's a mutant in the city, a loner, on the east side. According to this he might have some sort of elemental ability, the specifics are still a little fuzzy because-"
"So I need to go after him?" Romeo interrupts, annoyed even more because now he's sure who the guy is.
"Couldn't hurt, right?" Tech says with a laugh.

Isabelle was slightly (note: very slightly, given it was Deadpool) surprised by Deadpool's reaction, but after a moment of his sobbing into her shoulder for whatever reason, she smacked him upside the head lightly. "Stay on task," she snapped--or rather, tried to snap; the result was only her usual calm, collected voice. Trying to get anger to figure into her tone was one thing she was as of yet not so good at, though she was more amused than angry anyway.
"I wouldn't know about respect for mutants," Isabelle said in response to his next words. "I'm only here to do my jo...." At that moment, it seemed, she became aware of what Deadpool had called her. "Izzie?" she asked with a raised eyebrow. Well, for a nickname, there could have and had been far worse. Though back then she hadn't cared much, 'Tin Girl' was a particularly disliked moniker, as Deadpool had found out. So Isabelle only shook her head, muttering, "Okay, whatever you say."
Without another word they set off towards the Second District, where several dilapidated apartment buildings and old stores stood looking as if they were prepared to fall over dead. Normally this would be a good place to hide...but for a mutant with no money, no home, and nowhere to go, this was exactly the sort of place they would be found. The Bird Sentinel had performed its duty adequately; it had tracked the youth making his way through the streets into the apartment building, it had found exactly which apartment room he was living in, and it had returned to Isabelle without ever being detected.
As they neared the building, Isabelle thought of what strategy would be used to acquire this particular mutant. A note of finesse and skill would be required here; it was unwise to go in guns blazing, for that would not only cause alarm throughout the building, it would require them to go through the trouble of fighting this mutant before they took him down. Isabelle, however, had little doubt they would succeed; Deadpool, for all his antics, was a formidable gunfighter and melee, and Isabelle herself possessed superhuman strength and speed almost on par with a mutant.
"I'll move up to him and grab him before he can react," Isabelle stated, depending on her speed to have the mutant helpless before he could even notice her presence. "After that you fire a sleeper dart and we can transport him back to the MTCD."

'Hope had organized this group, this factor of resistance, the X Factor. That was a pretty good name, but she didn't want to link them to the X Men, turning them against the MTCD would be catastrophic considering all the mutants they'd gathered, then again they were capable fighters and them joining her mission to oppress the MTCD was good, they boarded the vehicle, Cable had gotten her, this had survived the tests of time, so surely it would make it through a raid on MTCD building, Hope held her weapon, as the group boarded the vehicle with there weapons. "Mission is simple, we strike the nearest MTCD facility, free as many mutants, recruit them if possible, confiscate vehicle's escape, and meet up in the storage unit, I've set up an illusion there, so we should be fine once were inside there." Operating the vehicle setting it up it burst forward.
Hopefully they would make the news, let the world know the mutants were not going to be pushed into submission, they were fighting back now, there savior had returned from her training. Bursting into the facility, alarms blaring, Hope grabbed her weapon, and opened fire, as other mutants did the same breaking out of the vehicle openig fire. Hopefully we can get out of here before were swarmed with Sentinel response. She said as a MTCD agent fired at her, she stopped the bullets in mid air, and shot a hole in his chest with her own weapon.

Deadpool sighed as he reached into his utility belt and pulled out a clip of sleeper darts, preparing to load them into his pistols.
"Why is it always stealth and speed with you? I can't remember the last time I got to actually have fun capturing somebody..." He said, loading the clips into his guns, relishing the clicking sound they made before slipping them back into their holster, until another thought occured to him.
"And why do you always get to make the plans too? You don't outrank me do you? I mean, I know I failed some of those written tests, but I can't be that bad at making plans" He said, running up the wall of the alley wall opposite of the target building, then jumped and grabbed hold of the fire escape.
"Like I show up as a pizza guy or something, then throw one of those cube things at him during the confusion. Then we get to eat the pizza and make him watch... Do you eat Izzie?" Deadpool asked as he started to climb. When he neared the apartment their fiery friend was staying in, he gave Izzie the thumbs up to show he was in position. He watched her move as well, her looks still distracting him a bit, but once she moved out of his line of sight, he was back to waiting for the familiar sounds of ambush.
I'm tired of ambushes... I still like my pizza guy idea, Deadpool thought as he waited.

"Because if we do it your way we'll have a fight on our hands, the NYPD will be alerted, there may be civilian casualties, and we'll receive unwanted attention," Isabelle stated flatly, as if that was the end of it and there was no point in argument. Isabelle did not seem to possess any firearms or weapons on herself; she depended instead on her inherent strength and speed, figuring that firearms were of little use against most mutants.
"That plan of yours would fail," Isabelle replied to Deadpool. "He is expecting the MTCD, and he will see through such a guise immediately. Which would lead to a confrontation, which we wish to avoid." When he asked if she 'ate', Isabelle paused, and then said, "I possess that capability, yes. It is not necessary per se for me to continue functioning, but as I am designed to appear fully human, it is necessary for me to be able to 'eat' in order to maintain the illusion." Even as she spoke, Isabelle had to wonder why she was talking so much (since usually she would ignore those working with her or tell them to focus on the duty). She contemplated briefly if it was part of her continued progress--becoming more and more conscious of herself, becoming less and less centered around living purely for the MTCD's missions.
As they entered the fire escape and made their way up to the apartment their target was in, Isabelle glanced towards Deadpool, noticing his eyes following her (well, they seemed to be, though through the mask it was impossible to tell). She assumed he was only paying attention to her movements, ensuring their move would be swift and coordinated, and paid no more attention to it. According to the Bird Sentinel (who had made a quick run over the building to locate his exact location and was currently swooping over the building in case it was needed) the young man was currently in the apartment's main room, watching the news, probably expecting something about the MTCD.
Isabelle made a signal to Deadpool, letting him know she was about to act, before looping swiftly into the apartment, almost noiselessly, through the window. The young man, his back turned to her, however, noticed the sudden draft of cool air that swept in through the open window--too late. Even as he stood and turned to face the intruder, Isabelle had already cleared the distance between them and had him in a lock, her arm pressing against his throat, her other hand twisting his arm behind his back; Deadpool only had at most a second or two to make his move before the young man unleashed his power--and then Isabelle would be in a bad place. I really need to get that power neutralisation upgrade...

Run. Faster. They've almost got you. Laney's mind desprately screamed at her as she clawed her way to feet, ignoring the sting of her bloodied knees, and forced herself back into a harsh run. Her jagged breaths broke through the slaps of her sneakers against the ground. Idiot. Faster. Dammit. Her silver locks lashed at her neck and face as she staggered around the street corner and leapt through a thick horde of shoppers. The shopping center was always full around this time of day, so it was the only possible place she could think that she could escape in. Shouts and cries of alarm flew into the air as she ducked and swiveled around person and place. Usually she hated using innocents as distractions, but this was an emergency and she really didn't have a choice.
"Stop!" yelled a young man. His hand narrowly missed latching onto her strands of silver and instead flailed about as he fought to keep his balance. "In the name of the government!"
Don't stop. Run. Faster. It was like being controlled by someone with all these ideas, but Laney didn't mind. At least she wasn't going to be caught. Her breath ripped from her lungs as a hand suddenly slammed out from the side and smashed into her stomach. Her body lurched to a stop as she let out a strangled cough, bent over the arm like a coat on a hook. Despite the chaos around her, she was only aware of the thundering of MTCD agents clambering after her. It took her several moments to gather her breath and by that point she was close to surrounded.
In a burst of adrenaline, the mutant clenched her hands and smashed one into the young man holding her. As she did she pulled out a little energy to fuel her until she could escape. Immediately as the man released her several more clasped onto her arms and abdomen. Laney yelled and squirmed and using all the power she could muster pulled herself free. She didn't even remember running to the alley-way upon where she threw herself at one of the sewer vents and wrenched it aside. But as she stared through the gaps in the vent at the men above, her arms tightened around her legs. Dammit. Dammit dammit. That was too close. How long would she have to sit there drenched and exhausted, dehydrated and longing for a feast? She didn't know, but it felt like it would be eternity.

Kurai looked up, hearing Romeo address her. "No," she said slowly, not used to much company. "I'm okay."
Overhearing his watch-comm conversation, she was interested. Sounds like fun, something I can do. But I doubt he'd let me come; what good would I do? But she still stared at him with a look that plainly said, Can I come?

Hope's assault on the MTCD base continued, heading into the cell area, she focused on the cells, opening them up, people rushing out as armed security guards made there way to the scene, Hope opened fire, holding down the trigger sending out some concentrated beams of energy into the ceiling, causing a cave in of rubble, she yelled out to the freed prisoners." Run anyway but the way blocked by rubble hurry now! "As she said that another mutant teleported in taking down one guard who was trapped mid way between the rubble slowly being crushed. Hope looked at the guard, and turned away watching as mutants ran, this operation could easily get messy, something she didn't want to weapon.
As the Cell blocks were nearly empty, she rushed out leaving the prisoners in the hands of the space bending escort. She made her way outside the stronger mutants and more combat oriented holding off security, this was working! Hope sent out a burst of psioninc energy downing some guards, and turning some against each other starting a bloody brawl between security. "Come on people were almost done, once everyone's out we head back to the vehicle, and work on regrouping at the ware house! She said yelling out orders, with the plan working people were listening, hopefully MTCD would learn about this, she only feared the response would be very brutal.

Romeo sighs and presses the button on his watch, ending the communication. Looking back down at the girl he gives a halfhearted smile and shrugs. "Hey, kid, I got an assignment, so I guess we're canceling class today. Wanna tag along? Don't have a clue what you're powers are, but the more the merrier, right?" He laughs a bit, then sighs and again turns, heading for the garage, where the fancy car, which he called the X-Mobile, was stowed away. He glances back over his shoulder to see if the girl is coming or not, but doesn't stop.
Soon Romeo, Kurai, and Tech, though the computer system in the X-Mobile, were on the scene, and as soon as Romeo stepped out of the car he could smell multiple mutants in the area, as well as something...different. Not human, not mutant. Shaking his head he extends his claws and heads over to the entrance.
"Kurai," he had learned her name on the drive over, "Keep and eye out down here, in case back up shows up or something. Let Tech know if anything happens, and keep in touch with our watch coms." With that, he enters the building, his eyes glowing slightly as his night vision kicks in. Quickly he makes his way up one flight of stairs after another, until he finally finds the room where the mutants are. He pauses for a moment, now able to tell there is only one mutant, and that other odd smell, while the other scent is somewhere close by, the roof maybe.
"Knock, knock!" he yells before kicking it down.

While the others were searching out Tsunami, Storm was investigating the other mutants Ghoul had found in the area. As she came across the MTCD base, or what was left of it now, she was shocked to see a person who looked like their lost Hope. Unfortunately, she had arrived too late, and as the mutant group makes their escape, she floats up into the air and causes a great storm to begin, darkening the skies, causing it to rain, painfully loud thunder, lighting, the whole shebang. All she could do was hope this would give them the cover they needed to escape, so that they could meet up later.

Deadpool nodded at Izzie's signal, and after Izzie had the mutant in what looked like a chokehold, Deadpool leaped through the open window, firing off a shot into the mutants neck as he dove, landing in a roll and drawing a sword as he came to a stop, facing the door leading into the apartment. Seconds later, the door was kicked in by somebody who had apparently watched an action movie not to long ago, as he felt the need for a grand entrance and witty dialogue.
"Hey, that whole machismo thing is mine butt lick, get your own" Deadpool said, looking over at Izzie.
"Anything in your database about this guy?" He said, then dashed forward and launched a kick at the man, not wanting to use deadly force just yet.
Well, he wanted too, but he got paid more for live mutants...

Isabelle felt a tinge of satisfaction as the dart dug into the mutant's neck, and he ceased struggling and fell limp. However, the satisfaction was not to last, for no sooner was she about to exit the scene quietly and cleanly than the door was smashed in by someone who apparently had no such word as 'subtle' in their vocabulary book. Keeping a hold on the unconscious flame-manipulating mutant, Isabelle heard Deadpool's words and turned to face their quarry. A quick look at his face was all she needed to search her 'database' (she disliked the term as it made her sound...well, like a computer, but now was not the time for that) before she knew who it was.
"Leave him. He's an X-Man," Isabelle stated matter-of-factly. Even as she said this, she began to rise from the ground as the boosters on her boots, powered by the same jets as the silent Bird Sentinel, hummed into action. Maintaining a vice-like grip on the captured mutant to ensure he did not drop or get injured, Isabelle raised her hand and fired two concussive shots on either side of Romeo, causing explosions that obscured vision of the room. "Let's get out of here," she said, turning back towards Deadpool, moving towards the open window.

Deadpool's attack was stopped by Izzie's attack/distraction, and Deadpool hopped back, his arm getting a pretty nasty cut from one of the blasts. He looked at the X-man before raising a hand in the peace sign, then changed it to give him the bird.
"Tough luck dingleberry, maybe next time" He said, then hopped over to the window he'd entered from and jumped through it, grabbing hold of a window on the building opposite of the one he'd jumped from, and climbed up until he was on the rooftop, looking back down at the apartment window.
"Can I please toss a grenade back in there? Just this once? I won't tell the commander if you don't" He said, giving Izzie his puppy dog eyes as best as he could through his mask. His request was still denied, and the two headed off back towards base with the mutant in tow. Deadpool looked over at Izzie and gave a bit of a sheepish grin, then coughed before looking away.
"We make a good team, you know that Izzie?" He said, moving a bit closer to her. "And I think my sense of humor is rubbing off on you a little bit. Try making another joke, I promise I won't laugh... I mean, I will laugh... You know what I mean" He said, now hopping backwards so he could face her, though this prevented him from seeing the chimney he was heading for. The sudden stop was quite painful, but Deadpool merely brushed himself off and kept going, his blushing from emberrasment hidden behind his mask.
"Think maybe we could get something to eat when we get back to base. I still don't believe you can do it..." He said, then after a moment of thought, "Would soup make you short circut?" He asked, a genuine look of curiosity on his face.

Hiding; the worst possible idea for someone on the run, expecially one who was a large potential threat to the MTCD. Laney was being ruthlessly dragged along the pavement by the shackles and chains at her wrists. They'd darted her legs, rendering them useless, and the rest of her body felt too heavy to really do anything. Her silver hair was in dangles and her mismatched eyes looked as dull as ever. Being in her usual "superhero" attire, her knees were perfectly exposed to the ashfault. Blood caked her knees and elbows as well as her temple where she'd been cut upon struggling against her captors. They weren't far from their base so they'd decided above all else it would be safer to travel by foot.
But this was before they'd heard of the destruction of the base. As soon as they were in site of the building, they halted immediately and practically dropped her. Laney - if able to stand - would have gathered herself and sprinted for it, but due to her temporarily drugged legs she was destined for marriage with the soil beneith her cheek. The shackles around her wrists were causing her skin to burn and her shoulders to grind. Perhaps she shouldn't have hidden in that sewer vent after all. It was an obvious place to hide. Then again, it had been her last hope. Part of her had always known it would be a futile attempt to escape these men.
"Go after the mutants"..."Take these men"..."Be sure to get as many as possible"... They were the usual orders of such men. The dangling girl found herself almost more bored than she had been while sloshing around in the sewer water. But the fact that the man before her was wearing shorts caught her attention. If only she could... Laney struggled to hobble forward without gaining their attention. She felt horribly pitiful sitting there crouching beside them like a little slave girl. But what more could she do? He was so close and yet so far away. 'Don't leave me here! Please, come back to get me!' she thought, hoping that perhaps a straggling mutant could come to her aid.

The Evacuation taking place, the storm worsened, it had turned out, Hope wondered if she had done that. She knew her power could get out of hand if overused so she didn't rely on her powers if she didn't have too, but this felt different, she felt the presence of another mutant aiding her operation, the storm was a cover, booming thunder, rain pouring out on them, and bolts of lightning descending, as her group made it to the vehicle, they focused the powerful phenomenon of the storm not nearing her vehicle. Definently another mutant helping is? What is this the X Men, they better not try to recruit me, I'm not gonna sit around in a school while innocents are locked up. About an hour later the group had managed to gather, and Hope made her way into the warehouse, she put her weapon away, and made her way to the hotel, in truth she'd taken over a hotel, the workers were all on a vacation in there minds. She groaned heading to a room, and flicking on the television as the news spoke about the emergence of a new mutant terrorist group. I hope that weather controlling mutant comes, she'd prove to be a great aid. She tampered with the illusion if the mutant from earlier came she would be able to see through the illusion.
Then she heard some thoughts, a mutant was in danger. Someone named Laney..sewers, damn I gotta go! Focusing she vanished reappearing in the sewers near Laney the armed men were nearing her location, she held out her hand to the mutant grabbing her. "I don't have time to talk here my name is Hope I'm here to save you." With that she teleported both herself and Laney back to the hotel room she'd been using.

"No." Isabelle denied Deadpool's request to throw a grenade back into the apartment flatly. "Because if that guy in there dies or even gets beat up a bit we will have hell to pay. We have what we came for." She nodded her head towards the still unconscious mutant who was being held by the arm. "We just need to take this one back to the base and then we will be done here."
With that they set off and returned to the MTCD base, where Isabelle (or 'Izzie' as she was now apparently known; it was a nickname that she grudgingly accepted) handed the unconscious mutant to one of her superiors, and Deadpool was paid; Isabelle, being a Sentinel in the service of the MTCD, of course, was not paid.
As they walked away, Deadpool's next words (which, funnily enough, were not some kind of dumb fart joke as Deadpool was fond of making) caught Isabelle's attention; make a good team? "Do we, then?" she said with a raised eyebrow and the merest trace of a smile on her thin lips. "Perhaps so. After all, I cannot recall a single incident in which you and I have worked together and failed to perform our duty successfully." And as a Sentinel that stored every single sound and sight ever seen into the deep recesses of her mind, Isabelle could recall not only every mission, but every word spoken during that mission, every action she had taken, and every power she had encountered. Rather useful.
But when Deadpool asked if wanted to get something to eat, even the typically decisive Sentinel was caught off guard. Isabelle, despite all her progress and 'humanisation', was unsure what to make of Deadpool's invitation, unaware of any implications behind it. So when he made his little soup joke, Isabelle only replied with, in a voice bearing irony and sarcasm "Short circuit? What do you think I am, some kind of robot?" She tried to make a smile appear, though the result was only the smallest smile she could muster. "Well if I have to prove to you how advanced a Sentinel I am, fine. Give a time and place and you will eat your words." Another minor little joke with her last sentence.

It all happened in a rush, so Laney wasn't really sure exactly what happened. A girl of bright red locks was suddenly at her side, speaking quickly but confidently. And then suddenly she was crashing to the floor of a hotel room, face contorted with the pain from her wrists. In the process of teleportation the shackles had been practically ripped from her. If you didn't know better, you might have thought she was going through depression or just had the habit of... well to be honest, cutting herself. But she wasn't going through either, though at the moment she felt like she could. Eyes closed, she let out a shakey breath and forced herself into a sitting position. Her legs were still like jello so she didn't even attempt to stand.
"Yeah, ow," she said, forgetting to be polite and instead allowing her confined emotions to finally drop from the tree. Her mismatched eyes fixed on the girl before her, narrowed and clearly irritation. "I know I should be glad that you saved me, but I'm not a doll. I do have things called bones that can do something called break." Her voice was harsh and thick from her diet of yelling, fighting, and running like a mad-woman. Oh right, she was a mad-woman. "Are you just going to stand there? How about doing something about all my wounds or perhaps, I don't know, get my a glass of water?" The irritation was coming from her exhaustion. It was odd for Laney to even speak like this to someone she'd known for a long time.

Deadpool was bracing for impact incase Isabelle denied his proposal, since she was known to deny Deadpool with force on more than one occasion, but then something happened that surprised him. Something that he didn't think would happen for a very very long time.
She totally said yes... and made not one, but TWO jokes. Deadpool just sort of looked at her for a moment in disbelief, and then doubled over in laughter at the delivery of her jokes. After the last bit of giggles, Deadpool straightened himself up and tried to be serious for once.
"We don't have any missions scheduled for tomorrow I think. Maybe grab some lunch out in the city? If nothing else it would be a good test to see how human your getting" He said, rubbing the nape of his neck with one of his hands, as if he were asking her out on a date...which he kind of was. He looked up at the ceiling for a moment, and the urge to make a stupid joke couldn't be held back any longer.
"Do you get gas Izzie?" He tried to disguise his fart joke with genuine curiosity, if for no other than to avoid retribution and blow his chances with their little get together tomorrow, but He doubted his attempt at subtlety would fool her.

Hmm, if Deadpool intended to eat something, then surely that meant that for the first time the infamous mercenary would be seen without his mask and costume? Well, only Isabelle would know who he actually was, but the point remained that she had never seen him without that mask of his on and it would be if anything very interesting to see the notorious soldier's true face.
Indeed, many times previously, Deadpool had attempted to get her to budge from her refusal to have anything to do with anyone unless it involved official MCTD business. But it was also true that the last time he had tried this was perhaps as long as a year ago; for a constantly evolving, constantly learning Sentinel, one year could mean a lot of change. At the beginning of her life, only a few years ago, a decade at most, Isabelle had appeared human physically, but there was nothing human about her; she spoke nothing, she hardly gave any indication she was alive--it was easier to refer to her as an 'it' than a 'she'. She was almost cast aside as a failure, being utterly unable to act like a human, or even like a sentient being with thoughts and choices--and then the MCTD discovered her 'evolution' capabilities. Within a few years, she transformed from something inhuman to a Sentinel gradually learning the subtle signs and habits that made a person a person. Though until maybe a year or half a year ago, Isabelle remained cold and detached from everyone else, vaguely grasping the concept of expressing emotion but being unable to fully understand it. It was only recently that she had come to be capable of comprehending things such as smiling, crying, and humour. There was still a ways to go before she would fully understand what it meant to be human, though.
"Very well. Lunch, tomorrow, the city. Any particular place you had in mind?"
As to his next query, Isabelle detected the curiosity behind it, and, whether she ignored the joke or was genuinely unaware of it, decided to answer. "Well, since I am supposed to perfectly emulate a human biologically, yes, I assume I would be capable of 'having gas'. However, flatulence is caused by eating certain foods, and I don't eat much at all. But anyway, I would think you of all people know all about the science behind flatulence, so getting back to the original point...any particular place?"

I was trying to wait on everyone else to post as well, Chu and Stella...but it's been a couple of days now, right? So, in order to keep moving forward I think we should go ahead. I'll post in a sec to keep it going, and when Stella does get back I'll make sure to get her caught up on things, alright?

Re: [OOC] The Nex Generation
Gonna get so real Isabelle rips off her face to reveal she is secretly Jimmy Page, play an epic guitar solo, and then rip off that face to reveal she is actually Vladimir Putin, who then orders the assassination of everyone involved.
For the record, I would like to post, but am feeling a little...uninspired, if you know what I meant -_-

Re: [OOC] The Nex Generation
Meh, I think some people would sign, some people wouldn't, sort of a CiviWar esque thing. Anyway I don't care what happens either way, this just means moore mutants MTCD gonna be in for a big fight, but it's like you said, we ready! We Taking over!(Akon song!) That song so fits this situation, too bad the X Men going get their hurt on.
Is Storm coming back for the battle, is she gonna take Hope with her? Wolverine's blood has healing properties, anyone with his level of regeneration does. Anyway they can still be injected, get the mark, but they can resist the chemicals far more then regular mutants, and of course if they get to the Red Mark the electricity won't do anything.
Romeo starting his own group, that's cool! We getting all these cool super cool mutant groups!

Re: [OOC] The Nex Generation
Just so everyone knows, this IS going to be a battle at the Institute. None of the students are going to want to sign the thing, nor will they want the MTCD there at all, so they will be fighting back, and since the X-Men are to protect the students, they will be fighting back as well. Chaos is going to ensue because of this, since Storm is still away.
Also, I'm wondering if Romeo or Wolverine, or Deadpool for that matter, would even be affect by the brands...they all have the hyper-healing abilities, and if I remember right, Wolverine's was even strong enough to cure the techno-virus that was threatening to wipe out all living things...
Anyway...I figure that Iceman and the rest of them will arrive just moment before the MTCD at the mansion, and as all this is going on Romeo and his group will be attempting to escape the mansion.
