Most of all, have fun, use your imagination! These are aliens, they can be whatever you want.
We are closed at the moment, but feel free to poke around. I've been known to reopen and accept new characters.

βJust for shits and giggles, itβs only supposed to be your missing home planet, nothing special, reallyβ she said with a friendly laugh. βIf you want more of an explanation of human history you should ask the captain, I donβt know much about it. Working on a ship thatβs looking for something difficult to find just happens to be my idea of fun, you often get to see lots of interesting things you werenβt looking for.β
Reggie shook her head. Of course. She feared this would happen. Most humans would get an extensive knowledge of their history, depending on what planet or space station they were sent to. Others, like Arc, wouldn't.
"Just for shits and giggles it's only supposed to be your missing home planet. Nothing special, really."
Reggie eyed Saein, and then to Arc. "Earth was lost to the humans many years ago. Shortly after humans discovered alien life, something happened. What happened is not written in any text books, no one is still alive to tell the tale, and the Intergalactic Council is as useful as a space rock."
She sighed. "It is rumored that this is Earth. I could be completely wrong in my calculations, and we could be traveling to some Linrees infested planet." She explained, referring to one of the most deadly creatures in the galaxy. Linrees were large, deadly, and would kill without any other thought.
"But, if this is Earth, we may be able to uncover what happened almost a thousand years ago. I know most of you aren't human, and could probably care less about the human history, but this is bigger than human history. It's galactic history. Something happened on Earth. Something that could happen to any one of your home planets. Knowing what happened to Earth could help save other planets alike."
He was already intrigued by the idea, but allowed everyone else to voice their opinions. Bond smiled and continued eating at his almost empty plate, nodding to Minn at his side in approval. "Very, very fine job," he commended, smiling wider at the pink girl's excited giggle. He listened to Reggie speak more before turning to Minn and asking, "So, what do you think?" He gestured to the captain.
Minn tilted her head a bit and shrugged one tense shoulder. This girl had to relax a little. "It's...interesting..." she admitted, eyeing him with a small smile on her deeper pink lips. Bond found himself wondering if every single part of her was such a pink. He had never actually been with a Shariva before... Minn went on, "I really just want to cook. History always fascinates me though, it was my second favorite subject in school...while I was still in school anyway..." She broke off, green eyes distant, but for only an instant. She snapped back up to a straight back and smiled brightly. "It's exciting, the human histories! There's so many holes in the stories they teach. So...I suppose I'm grateful I found the Captain. This is...an adventure!"
Bond smiled gently and nodded. She was like a child, so full of innocent curiosity and bubbly-ness. He could dig it, for sure. But for some reason he suddenly hoped nothing happened to the ship or the mission that would wipe that smile off Minn's face. She was so young...
Thoughts darkening, Bond cleared his throat and added a soft agreement to Minn's words before facing the front again, raising a hand. "We're in!"
She exchanged a look with the captain. βSorry, that probably wasnβt helpful for convincing everyone not to back out. I should have stopped talking after βIβm inβ. I have a feeling this is less dangerous than some missions Iβve been on, and I see a good crew around me, so Iβm in.β She crossed her arms and decided to shut up for a while.
"What?!" he strongly denied the possibility of him doing such a thing. His blush betrayed the fact that she caught him. "...uu..." he quieted down and started looking towards Reggie as she spoke about what the mission was and what their possible course was. He liked the idea of finding Earth, as it was possibly the lost human homeworld. He'd only heard of it a couple times in stories and definetly not much detail about it was in those stories that were passed down over the generations. He raised his hand and spoke. "I guess only someone with my piloting skill will get us through this voyage in one piece, so I'll tag along," he agreed.
His fork hovered over his food, which he had most definetly taken seconds of. Looking over to the chef of said deliciousness, he smiled and was about to say something when Bond had taken the chance. He listened intently as the two spoke, Bond eventually asking the question Eddie was about to. After they answered, he smiled yet again. "Couldn't do this without such a great cook," Eddie commented, his fork digging into the food. "Maybe 'great' isn't a great enough word for it... more like 'excellent' or 'lifesaving'," he laughed at that joke, seeing as she pretty much just did save an android with her cooking.
Setting
0.00 INK
After the presentation, everyone agreed to stick beside Reggie on her quest to find her lost home planet. Although, one person voiced her opinion to leave. Inqueta politely declined, not giving any reason as to why, and then left the kitchen. MAK informed the crew that Inqueta had been released from the ship and was now heading inside the station to find someone to take her home.
Afterwards, Reggie informed Dlew that he would be working alongside MAK, the resident AI. Dlew's main job was to navigate, and keep MAK from going rogue. He would also be needed to communicate with other species that did not know the "mother" language. And of course, help with engineering if Bond ever needed assistance.
Finally, Reggie asked the crew members to report back to their designated stations for take off would be happening shortly. Once they were well on their voyage, they were free to wonder the ship again. But be sure to check back at your stations around every other hour. Especially if your station was the engine.
Bond seemed to be in love with the engine. Saein didnβt notice a hint of the smell of coolant anymore, so either she had guessed correctly where that microleak was, or there was no leak at all and someone had simply spilled a drop while performing maintenance, and that little was gone now the engine was in real use instead of running standby. It was best to postpone figuring that out until shortly before their next stop - donβt touch something that is working the way it should.
She asked Bond βIs there something special about this engine, or do you just really like engines?β
Looking up from his spot seated on the floor in front of the engine, Bond smiled to Saein with a shrug. "I really like engines. All the parts working together to drive epic adventures and explorations and...without engines, we wouldn't be going anywhere."
Standing up, he glanced to the door. There really wasn't much else to do. He had given Dlew what he needed and the engine was checked, rechecked and rechecked again. He flipped his screwdriver in the air. "Find any other repairs needed?"
Part of him wanted to wander around a bit, while another part just wanted more food from Minn's kitchen. It was going to get addictive, he could already tell. He sighed and gestured for Saein to follow while she spoke.
βWithout engines, we wouldnβt get in any trouble either,β Saein joked, βexcept for failing to pay spacedock rent.β
"Find any other repairs needed?" he asked.
βNot on the engine, but thereβs always something small to repair somewhere on a ship. Not that anyone is going to notice those things being repairedβ she laughed. βHave you looked at the land cruiser yet? Maybe that could use some tuning. Anything to keep me from raiding the spare parts storage and building an extra ship.β
Bond had stood up and gestured to follow. Saein asked βWhere are we going? Anything interesting?β
Alex mindlessly made his way back to the infirmary. He slid his hands into his pants pockets as his shoes scuffed across the ground. He made sure to stop at an observation deck and look at the stars. The vastness was overwhelming yet confined all at the same time.
It was a beautiful contradiction.
Finally, Alex tore himself away from the stars and continued on his way to his station. When he finally arrived, he began tapping through his datapad. "MAK, play some music."
"Is there anything specific you would like?"
"You don't know what I like? I figured you would have done a complete background check on all of us by now." Alex mused.
"I have. It says that you like several styles."
Alex shook his head with a smile. It wasn't everyday one got to speak with an AI. "Surprise me," Was his final response as he began searching through his filing cabinets once again. A soft jazz melody began emitting from the speakers. Alex closed his eyes, letting the melody waft into his ears. It was soothing.
He sat down on his desk, turning on the table lamp with a wave of his hand, and began flipping through a few books and files.
Reggie
Reggie could feel tingles in her fingers and toes as she stepped back up into the bridge. She could feel her adrenaline begin to pump, her excitement building. It was finally happening!
She had been waiting years to finally begin this voyage and now it was finally at her finger tips. She ran her fingers over her station. The chair a symbol of leadership, as it sat in the center of the bridge. It's cool surface sending shivers through Reggie. She climbed up and plopped down on the seat, relaxing into her position.
It was time. She pressed a button on the chair's arm and spoke loud and clearly. "Take off will be happening in T-minus 5 minutes." She removed her hand from the button. "Eddie, let's get this show on the road."
Narration
Five minutes after Captain Oris's announcement, the ship's engines roared to life. The boosters shot flames and the ship rumbled. Slowly, the large ship moved away from it's docking station and into the recesses of space.
It spun slowly, it's front moving away from the station, and with one final kick of the boosters, shot forward. Out of sight.
[Ignore the Alexander Greenhaven PhD. tag]
"Eddie, lets get this show on the road."
Eddie smirked as he began readying the ship for the beginning of the voyage. By the time the five minute deadline was reached, the ship was roaring to life with excitement, or maybe that was just Eddie. In either case, the ship began facing its course before the engines did their work and accelerated the ship through space but not time.
Eddie loved the feeling of the pull on him as they accelerated. It always brought a mini-rush to him. Sadly, the rush didn't last too long and after a minute or two, it had fully disappeared.
They had now officially began their search for Earth, the supposed human homeworld.
Bond noted the land cruiser suggested, but shrugged and answered her second questions. "I was thinking to the kitchen, more food, nice view," he added with a smirk and a wink, referring to Minn but he suddenly realized that Saein might not catch this and turned forward again. "Really good food," he went on to say, but was interrupted by the Captain announcing their official take-off. Bond grinned.
"To the bridge?" he asked Saein.
They took off quickly, the ship vast and the path to the bridge a bit odd, but they cut through the kitchen to shorten the distance and Bond rushed over to Minn and tugged her away from the sink of dirty dishes.
"Wha...what are you...?"
He laughed and pulled her along. "Your first take-off and you're not even going to see it? I don't think so, come on now."
So with Bond in the lead, he led the two pink haired ladies to Reggie and grinned happily as Eddie readied himself to perform his magic. Bond assured the engine was in tip top ship shape and he dropped into a seat beside Reggie, grinning toothily to the female captain. "Excited yet?" he asked rhetorically. It was quite obvious she was just by looking at her fidgety movements and unable-to-be-contained smile. Bond ushered Saein and Minn to sit as well and buckle in. The initial take-off could be bumpy no matter how perfect his engines were running.
And the roar of life burst through all of them like a rumbling roar of a monstrous creature, but Bond was hardly afraid. Eddie was having the time of his life, Reggie was elated, Saein was used to this by now but wore and smile and Minn...was terrified. Her delicate hands gripped the cloth of her pants above her knees as she stared out the front windows into the vastness of blackness and stars zooming closer and past the ship. Bond chuckled a bit and placed a hand on her shoulder, which made her jump into a straighter position.
"You're fine, Pinkie," he assured.
Dlew then sat back an waited for the ship to take off and when it did Dlew felt amazed at how the stars were zooming past the ship. Dlew forgot how amazing it was to watch the stars and apperantly so did the others.
When the ship calmed down and they could walk around the ship again Dlew just decided to stay at his post and draw the stars and how they looked from were he was.
"To the bridge?" Bond asked.
βNaturally.β
Saein laughed with Bond about Minn being so dedicated to kitchen work she would miss take-off for it. It was cute. βBond is right, itβs better to see it while sitting in a chair than it is to fall over trying to clean dishes during take-off.β
On the bridge, Saein chose a seat next to the one Bond had put Minn in. Talking to everyone and nobody in particular, she commented βYou know, when youβre used to moving spots meaning emotion, itβs difficult not to become religious at launch time. Itβs like jumping into someoneβs arms or something. Good thing She seems to like me.β It sounded like she was half serious, half making a joke. A moment later the engines produced a noise that sounded like music to her (heavy metal of course). βNice work, Bond.β In the minimal crews back when she worked for RMEE, the mechanic and the engineer were the same person, so she knew exactly what a well-tuned engine should sound like, and she could tell Bond had improved it from well-tuned to perfect.
Next to her, Minn was scared and Bond wasnβt helping though he was trying to. Saein smiled at Minn. βAfter a few times, youβll love this.β After a bit of searching through her pockets, Saein found a small black stick shaped object that she stuck between her lips. She didnβt light it or switch it on or anything like that, one simply breathed in through it. βIβd share, but it probably wonβt help your nerves and Iβd want to ask the doc if youβre allergic firstβ Saein told Minn. She had heard bad things about other species having such allergies, now wasnβt a good time to repeat them. Death probably already was on Minnβs mind anyway. Saein relaxed in her chair and enjoyed the view. She felt bad for humans not being able to drink their tea during take-off.
After a minute her fingers found a loose screw on her chair, which she immediately fastened. βHey Minn, you know what? After a few times youβll love take-off, but after a few hundred times a screw in a chair becomes more interesting.β She laughed at her obsessive urge to fix things. βRelax, hon. You trust Eddie, right? I trust Eddie.β
The take-off shook her chest unlike anything she had ever experienced before, like thunder rumbles continuously rolling over her skin and shivering her bones. Her fellow crewmates seemed at ease and she herself felt the sting of anxious tears behind her eyes. But she put on a brave face. There had been a reason she had wanted to stay in the kitchen. Here, back stiff like a board, she could hardly allow her gaze to stray from where she looked straight ahead at the stars turning into lines among the blackness.
Saien spoke to her. What had she said? Trust Eddie? Minn barely knew him. Suddenly she felt terrified to even blink. If she missed any mistake and couldnt act accordingly, she would die...
No...no calm down. You trust these people. You agreed to this. Adventure right? New beauties, new places, stars, planets...
As soon as the speed slowed, she unbuckled and hurried off the bridge, hyperventilating and finding an empty hall to collapse in. How had she not thought this through? Why was she here?
The vastness of space suddenly felt like a mouth of impending doom, ready to swallow her into shadowed nothingness and chaos all at once. Pink fingers curled into her pink hair, she slid down the wall, forehead pressed to her knees. She had to calm down...it wasnt so bad...no...it wasnt...but...
She was off to find the bridge, humming a merry tune, when she passed a crumpled pink form. Minn... She crouched down next to her. She tilted her head to make sure she was awake, and not dead, and was glad to see she wasn't unconscious. Scared, maybe? She wasn't very good at reading expressions. She racked her mind for something calming to say, when she simply went back to old-reliable.
"Hey, you okay? You look a bit... Shaken." She said, looking over the girl with her bright teal eyes. She put a hand on her shoulder, and sat there rather awkwardly. Sure, she was trained in running at top speeds, and she could yell at you in twenty or more different languages, but helping somebody mentally? Not easy.
Sighing and shaking her head, Reggie let the slowing pressure wash over her, the feeling so comfortable and normal. She pushed off her chair, walking towards the cockpit. "Dlew, make a change in the planned route. We're stopping at the IDA first. Coordinates should be in the system already."
She spun and took a look at the crew members on the bridge with her. "MAK, what is Minn's location?"
"Just outside the bridge." MAK responded. "Dr. Lassion is with her."
"Good, maybe Cassandra can calm her down." Reggie said tapping her finger on her chin. She was tired, her knee was throbbing. She had been moving too much, too much action. It was time to take a rest.
"Colin, you're in charge. I'm retiring to my quarters for a while." Reggie explained looking to Colin. "Please, don't break my ship."
She smiled to Bond and Saein, waved goodbye to Eddie and Dlew and made her way to her quarters. Her room was on it's own floor, just above the bridge. It was large and spacious, although Reggie never knew what to fill it with. The room was a dark blue color, that immediately calmed the captain down. Her bed sat in the middle of the room on it's own platform. Reggie flopped onto it, immediately removing her tight pants.
Her knee was yellow and discolored, the replacement piece has shifted and knocked out of place. Usually, it left Reggie unable to even walk, but with the amount adrenaline that had been coursing through her most of yesterday and today, it was understandable why she would force her way through the pain.
Reggie contemplated heading down to the infirmary and having the good doctor fix her knee, but she decided against it. There was a good chance she wouldn't even make it that far before collapsing.
Grabbing her pants from the floor, she bunched it up and stuck a thick piece in her mouth, immediately clenching down on it as hard as she could. Placing her fingers in the appropriate locations, she applied pressure to the edges and pushed the cap back into place. Of course it never just snapped back into place. Often times it would get stuck, the metal piece not meant to be moved.
And the pain. The pain was greater than anything Reggie had ever felt. The pain of slipping the metal piece back into place was far greater than when Reggie originally got the injury. She screamed into the cloth as she forced herself to push the piece back into place.
Finally, she felt the cap shift and the pain cease. The captain collapsed, her jaw slacking and the pants falling into her lap. She took in deep breaths and fell back into her sheets.
"MAK!" She called. "I need a drink."

Arc only took a few moments though to get her balance before she went searching through all the cupboards and containers. She mentally documented everything she found ans she went. After she had been around the Armoury twice she sat down on the bench in the middle of the room, pulling her legs up and sitting cross-legged. Arc then started grabbing what almost seemed like random bits and equipment and started twisting screws, pulling things apart, screwing things together, etc. Mostly she was just playing and filling her own quota of enjoyment and curiosity, she would need to talk to Reggie before she could begin any real work. It was kind of hard to make/enhance weapons for an unknown enemy or place.
Cassandra had already found the girl, but seemed unsure what to do. Saein could smell the fear on Minn. How had she missed that? Oh right, she had been too busy inhaling something tasty. Now what to say? βItβs only take-offβ? No, donβt make Minn feel like a fool. βItβs safer than walking on a planetβ? No, donβt remind of accidents now. She knelt in front of Minn. In her heart she knew what to do, it was obvious, but her brain disagreed. Her eyes flashed back and forth nervously, her hands tried to strangle each other, and of course her skin also showed her inner conflict. In a moment, she made a decision. The wrong one.
The moment their cheeks touched, Saein knew she had done something incredibly stupid. She had embraced a member of a different species right in the middle of a moment of intense emotion. The feeling of contradiction, wrongness, emptiness, cold, pain, confusion... so many words that didnβt begin to describe it, it was overwhelming. All her muscled cramped, she couldnβt breathe. Minn began to notice something was wrong, she tried to get out of the embrace but Saein was much stronger. At least Saein wasnβt suffocating her. That was one of the last coherent thoughts that went through Saeinβs mind. βFocusβ she told herself. βRelax. Focus. Focus on what?β She couldnβt tell how time was passing, it seemed to be minutes more than anyone could hold their breath until the world finally went dark. Unconscious, she let go, her shoulder and then her head hit the floor with a thump and a slight bang.
She was breathing again, but wouldnβt wake up for the next few minutes.
Dlew then left the bridge to walk around the ship. Dlew stopped by the hanger and sat down by the door and started to draw it. Dlew felt like he could take another nap, but thought he should ask if there were any rooms left. It was too late Dlew had fallen a sleep against the wall.
The voyage to the IDA went smoothly. Nothing broke, nothing attacked them. It was smooth. After docking, Reggie led the group off the ship. She informed that not all had to come, but they were welcome to explore the Academy while she and Colin spoke with the Headmaster.
Alexander
The good doctor decided to stay in his office, pouring over his files. He never really mixed well with the strict rules of the IDA. He had been there a few times, hoping to get field training, but he was turned down. Something about how he didn't fit the mold of the Academy.
Alex instinctively ran a hand through his hair, the spiky tendrils familiar yet different. He was finally down to his last file. He had memorized and refiled everything to his liking. The last one was Regina's. He was avoiding it, slightly terrified to see what was hidden in his Captain's file. It was rather large. Larger than the others.
Finally, with a sigh, he flipped it open. He was met with her picture from her time in the Academy and the few basic things. Her name, age, gender, weight, height. Same old, same old. As he continued to flip through, he found several medical records. Surgeries. Replacements.
...Regina Oris has had a full replacement of her left leg. From the knee down the muscle and bone tissues have been replaced with mechanical technology...
He continued to read, his eyes scanning over the exact properties of the leg replacement. It was, apparently, due for a check up...four years ago. Alex shook his head as he let the file drop from his fingers. She was crazy. She was absolutely crazy. No wonder she walked with a limp! She had been avoiding the check up. No doubt the entire leg needed to be re-replaced at this point.
What was with this crew? It was like the purposely wanted their doctor to lose their mind.
Regina
Walking through the halls of the Academy brought a wave of nostalgia over Reggie. Although, back when she walked through these halls, it wasn't with a limp. She could feel the joints and sprigs vibrate through her leg. She winced a few times, but hid it as best she could.
Her eyes scanned through the photos on the walls. The graduating classes with their serious faces. When she found her class, she couldn't help but stop and stare it. She was the only female in her graduating class. There were several girls that were in the academy, but there weren't very many. All of Reggie's female friends were either in the class younger than hers or older.
She looked up at the picture, recognizing a few faces. Some of them she had dated, some she had worked with. Some had already died. Her eyes locked onto the person standing next to her in the picture. An attractive male that Reggie was really close with during their time together. Ian Baxter. She remembered seeing it on the news. The attack on the ship he was piloting. Only one survivor of the 20 person crew, and it wasn't Ian.
Finally, she turned away from the picture and caught up with Colin, who had kept walking towards the Headmaster's office. "Just like old times, huh?" She asked elbowing him in the arm playfully.
