"Life is simple enough, a good meal, warm place to sleep, few things hold more meaning.
Name: Ka-Do Rakki (roughly translate into "Lucky Card")
Age:26
Gender:Female
Appearance: Ka-do's appearance is simple, and very much unrefined overall. Her face is that of a weather worn traveler, the skin heavily tanned, and is slightly rough to the touch, youth preventing most of the results of weathering. Her hair looks as though soot had been throughout it, staining it a forbidding and unchanging black color. Its style is slightly too long, clearly not having the access to basic hygiene at times. It has been cut when it gets past the shoulder length, but remains relatively thick, and not smooth. Eyes like a green meadow, after a heavy rain, seem to hold some kind of intelligence ot them. Her mouth, fairly thin and pursed, has a constantly smiling appearance to it, making her features quite naturally friendly.
Her body is slender, but slightly heavier than most women, having bits of excess weight that gives her a slight "bunny" shape, which adds to her friendly demeanor. She wears clothing fit for travelers, loose robes of a simple grey color that hang around her body and help her slight swaggering movements, both natural and unintentional, as the loose clothing hides these movements. She wears a bandanna around the front of her head, pulling her hair back. Over that she wears a straw hat often favored by peasants. Around her body is various travel supplies, and the clinking of sake bottles can often-always be heard. All the extra stuff (including a Chinese fiddle) permanently adds to her "bunny" appearance, making her seem larger but also a bit ridculus looking, which doesn't bother her in the slightest.
She can always/often be seen fiddling with some random item, from maps to instruments. She seems to show a profound interest in "pack ratting" most items, whether relevant or not.
Element: Fire
Weapon(s): Throwing daggers, jars of sake.
Fighting Style: Drunken Kungfu mixed with brawling, making room for personal injury in a fight and knowing how to lessen the damage. Her style of fighting is unorthodox but grounded in experience, focusing on power, speed, and simplicity of tactics. It often combines brute force with subtle tactics, so the movements are a combination of strength of spirit with a cool head. This balance is what makes her style particularly difficult to learn, and she herself feels that she is lacking.
History: Born into a unimportant mining village, "Ka-Do" spent much of her early life enjoying the simplicity of her life. She was un-spectacular as a child, but showed a great amount of will and a hearty physical build for a girl, often striving to do male tasks and succeeding. Her youth was filled with hard-work and practical sense, was well as a love of the simple things in life, most particularly food and drink. She began her apprenticeship as a cook in a family restaurant when she reached 10, and found that it was all that she wanted, but to quote her, "Life has a habit of consuming you,". The restaurant she was apprenticed in was soon falling into poverty, and her parents found that they could not feed the child in these rough times. So they sent her away, intending to sell her into service to anouther family, unbeknown to her.
However, on her way the caravan she was riding with became attacked by bandits. There was hardly any real fighting done, and almost everyone survived. However, when the bandits tried to get into the wagon where many goods were being stored, they found the door locked and themselves at the mercy of a little girl who had locked herself within its walls. The door being too heavy to break down, they suffered a minor siege, but this was taken with a kind favor, admiring the girls bravery and intelligence. However, after a few days of not having a restroom, the girl surrendered. Demanding only a meal as part of the "terms".
When this was done, the bandit leader offered to take her with them, explaining about a life of adventure. By now she knew what her parents had done, and decided that having new friends would be the quickest way to get over their betrayal. Her life would be filled with further happiness, despite the dangers.
Working for the bandits as a cook, she soon grew to be very beloved of them, and she felt the need to strive in order please them. It was here she learned her fighting style and of fire-bending, learning a few techniques from a soldier who had deserted. She eventually earned her nick-name, "Ka-Do Kakki", when she began to get really good at cards, and the name as stuck every since.
Eventually, she chose to leave them, trying to find her own way in the world. She longed for adventure, experience... spending the next 6 years of her life searching for something that she didn't know she was looking for. She was recruited into The Order of the White Lotus following a tavern brawl, seeing her unorthodox fighting talents blending with raw will power for fire bending. Not the most promising recruit due to her age, they decided that only time will tell. Out of almost all the students, "Ka-Do" is considered to be the least life changing, and thus the lowest on the importance scale, but her love the common people and living amongst criminals, offer her a new perceptive on life.
