History

Taysia was born and raised in South Central, California. Her mother was a nurse at a local hospital and piano player at their local church, raising Taysia on her own, unlike her neglecting father, who ran out on them.
Taysia and her mother, living in the slums, took care of each other, whether one was sick or tired. Her mother had taught her everything such as cooking, and doing the laundry.
At age 14, things changed as Taysia's father decided that he should be in Taysia and her mother's lives. Things got hectic after her father drank excessively, and physically abusing her mother. A month later, Taysia's parents were driving along a path, arguing, until they had a head on collision with another car. The father was barely injured, while the mother was fatally injured. Taysia rushed to hospital to see if she was okay, but was too late. The doctor said that her mother died 1 minute before she got there.
Taysia, after that, grew furious, not wanting to talk to people. Although she was saddened of her mother's death, she was angered to the fact that her mother died and not her father.
The day of the funeral, her and her father were arguing, with Taysia expressing her feelings about her hatred towards her father. Her father was taking the pain away with alcohol. Drunk, he walked up to Taysia and tried to kiss her, forcing himself onto her for some unknown reason (he assumed that Taysia was her mother). She pushed him away and hits him, taking him back to reality. He responded by hitting her back many times and yelling out of her name, saying that her mother didn't care about her. Growing even more furious, Taysia grabbed a gun from under the kitchen sink and shot him twice: on the side, and on the left leg. She dropped the gun, shocked of the blood stained on the floor, and ran away from the house, while her father called the police on her, ending up with her being arrested 30 minutes after.
While in custody, a social worker questioned Taysia's behavior. Taysia responded about her father's constant abuse towards her and her late mother, leading to her becoming a foster child. After that, she was put from one place to another.
At age 15, during her stay in a foster home at Chicago, IL, she fell in love with DeMarcus. Young and naive as they wre, they both had unprotected sex, which lead Taysia to become pregnant with a still-born child. Finding out about her pregnancy, her foster parents promised to give her child away once it was in good condition to leave the hospital, and to also give Taysia away.
Taysia was finally placed for adoption, at age 17, from a family with a father nothing like her biological one. She moved in and was enrolled to the Everwood High School, because of financial issues.
