Kaine heard the bell ring before he could get back to class, so he simply went to the cafeteria, his hands shoved deep in his pockets. However, he spotted Al sitting outside. Was she waiting for the buses? Hah. Well, it would be another two hours... Something in him told him to go tell her that, but he decided to just let her sit there as he turned and left, bored. She deserves it.

Kaine noticed David show up, just as he was leaving, and shook his head. This was all wrong... For a student of the prestigious St. Joseph's academy to be hanging out with an Everwood student was just... wrong. With a resigned sigh, he turned and went to the cafeteria, shoving his hands deep into his pockets as he waited in the lunch line. Everything seemed okay in the school, for now.

"What? Am I so bad you had to leave?" he asks softly but cheerily. Al smiles a little at him.
"No, not you, but Kaine is," she mutters, rubbing her knuckles. "Sorry, but I really gotta go. There was a reason I skipped yesterday. I'm thinking of kipping tomorrow. Not that that would really help anything... But Kaine would get really frustrated at me not showing up for our assignment or whatever tomorrow morning and imagining him having that look on his face would make up for whatever consequences came after." She chuckles quietly and glances down the street.
"The bus is running late...." she says, still rubbing her sore knuckles, the middle knuckle starting to turn a dark purple color. "Stupid Kaine... Ugh I wanted to punch that boy..." She grins at David and kind of shows him her bruising knuckles. "I punched a locker instead. Maybe not the best choice. But better for Kaine and his pretty faces health. I left a dent in that locker. I hope it wasn't yours or anyone else's I know... Then I'd feel bad." She pauses and turns more towards David, tucking her goosebump covered legs under her skirt more, a light shiver running through her body.
"Why'd you come out here? I can take care of myself you know," she says with a slight laugh. "This isn't the first time I've ridden the city bus home ya know. Besides, isn't lunch happening right now? You wouldn't want to miss out would you?" She smiles again, a light blush spreading across her cheeks, when Al realizes she's actually flirting a little with a St. Joseph's kid. 'Oh well... He's cute, and nice, and he doesn't like Kaine either. Good enough for me,' she thinks. "Also, it's really cold out here. I'd think you rich kids wouldn't like cold weather." 'Eh... Crap... Going back to a cold and empty house... Didn't think about that...' Al thinks as she pulls her really worn jacket out of her backpack and puts it on.

Kaine raised his eyebrows when all Tansie grabbed was a cookie. "Are you not going to eat anything else?" He asked, thinking about how that wasn't really healthy. Hey, it was her life, though. When she explained about not treating anyone differently, he just stared at her, a bit surprised. Someone who wasn't on the council thought of everyone was equals? It was sort of... awesome. And a definite turn-on. Smiling, he looked over at her as she scanned the lunch room. "You're really sweet, Tansie," He said. "How about we go and do something together? Maybe catch a movie or study? You seem like a really cool person to hang around, and it'll be nice to get away from the council crowd for a while."
It wasn't until they were at the front of the lunch line that Eve released his hand, blushing as he went to grab his lunch. She picked up a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a milk carton as she passed, following Jake out of the line. "Hmm... How about the music room?" She suggested. "There'll be no one there right now, so that should be a quiet enough place to practice." Suddenly, she noticed something and gasped, reaching up to touch the hair that unusually hung down to her shoulders. "My ribbons!" She said, feeling her pockets. There was nothing there. Suddenly, she remembered the audition. "I-I must've dropped them when I ran into that kid..." She murmured, worriedly. "With all of the students running around, they'll be long gone, by now..."

Jake smiled, "Sure, sounds good", he took a sip of his chocolate milk, "You sure it will be empty?".

Kaine was thrilled, but he tried not to show it so much. "Okay," He said. "I'll make sure you have the time of your life." Chuckling, he sat down and leaned against the table. "But movies are no fun when it's daytime. How about I pick you up at seven? But I'll need an address..." He rubbed the back of his head awkwardly, only just now realizing that he'd have nowhere to pick her up FROM. When she asked what classes he had after lunch, he took a bite of his sandwich. "Hmm... Study hour and math," He said, scrunching up his nose in distaste. "Fun, right? How about you?"
Eve carried her food towards the music room with Jake, nodding. There was no time to waste trying to eat in the cafeteria... Lunch period was so short. "Yeah, at least I think so..." She murmured. "There aren't any classes in that room until after lunch, though I'm not really sure if anyone else is practicing in there..." When they got there, it was empty, just as she had thought. That made her sigh in relief and she opened the door, waiting for Jake to come.
