BACKSTORY

Kelly was raised in a middle-class family in Manchester. Her father worked as an accountant and this took a part in fostering her own love of numbers. Her mother was a stay-home mom who took great care of Kelly and her siblings. She was strict on them and has brought them up to be well-mannered with proper values. Her family lived in a house with three bedrooms. As a result, she had to share a bedroom with her sister. This was why she was closer to her sister than her brother. She did well in school, scoring mostly As and Bs and hardly any Cs. She did all her schooling in Manchester, from Kindergarten to University. After she graduated, she taught at her old high school. When her sister and her husband passed away, she was devastated. Since her brother already had his hands full with his own children, she decided to move to Withernsea and adopt her niece as her own child.
