Introduction
Franz Brokenboch, acclaimed professor of theology, the occult and of all things myth has made a name for himself as an eccentric. Whether it be his messy endeavors at dispelling the curse of Tutankhamun or his sincerest belief that the Loch Ness Monster owes him "tree-fitty", his slightly mad demeanor is offset by sheer brilliance and good naturedness. He has grown close to many students over the years, many going onto careers as politicians, scientists and adult film stars, among other less sticky vocations. His continued correspondence with students past has proven him a continued favorite of the Northwestern Illinois University faculty.
It wasn't until a particularly strange outburst that Brokenboch came under fire, and his tenure promptly ended.
Though the actual nature of said outburst was never given full disclosure, many variations rotated, most ending with Brokenboch speaking tongues and assaulting a young student who had approached him after class. Humiliated and totally shunned from a scientific community that had always regarded him as little more than a joke, he retreated to Brokenboch Manor, a sprawling New England estate as strange and enigmatic as its owner. It would be a year before he made contact with another human, when a small scad of students would receive a very pleasant letter, inviting them to join him in two weeks for a private exhibition of his newest discovery.
They would each be unaware of the trap he had set for them, and just how far it would veer their lives off track.
It is Autumn in the year of 2010. It is a season of mists and mellow fruitfulness.

Rules
[1] Respect the decisions of the moderators. If you disagree, take up your grievances politely.
[2] Respect eachother. Drama is good IC, bad OOC.
[3] Don't be a total fucking doucheknocker. What 'being a doucheknocker' consists of is left to sole discretion of the moderators, but should always be considered to include godmoding or metagaming.
[4] Building on [3], Characters are human, not velociraptors, not vampires, not unicorns, and most certainly not vampiric velociraptorcorns. They are welcome and even encouraged to have diverse and individual abilities that will help the party out long term, just make sure that they are within reason. Nobody should have any magical proficiency at the game's outset.
[5] While description and flowery prose is always encouraged, posts should not be total wankfests that go on FOREVER. Good writing is awesome, but be aware that conciseness is not always a bad thing either.

I really hope he and Wayward find the time to rejoin us again. As Herr Peacock said, you guys are all fabulous, and I'd also love collaborating on another RP--though I would rather hope to finish this one!

OH, and I posted. You try writing while your girlfriend and her family are dancing along to Rocky Horror. That explains the rambling quality of it all. D:

Anyway, I wasn't aware that Brujay wanted me to handle Brockenboch before, so I'm going to go ahead and make a post as our dear packrat professor before I head to bed.
