Description

~Joshua Edard Rowan~

"I give my all in everything I need to do. Your perception of me is irrelevant."

Image

Name: Joshua Edard Rowan "Or so I was told."

Gender: Male "Is that supposed to be funny ser?

Age: 19 "I had so much left to do in my life..."

Time: The late medieval period. "I never bothered to count the years."

Role: Past

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual "Unfortunately for you ser, I lean but the one way in that regard... and 'tis not towards men."

Nationality: Unknown "I have traveled through many lands since birth, though my origin remains the grandest mystery I have encountered."

Race: Unknown "If I know anything about mine self, it is that I am not entirely human"

Job: Traveling Psychic/Healer "Though I have been called "monster" and "warlock" should they be accountable."

Height: 6'1" "Quite tall in the places I once frequented, yet it seems more common here."

Weight: 140lbs "Quite lightly built 'tis true."

Abilities:
"Demons eye"
An ability named as such by the people who have witnessed it's strength, in the past Joshua would rip his previously worn eyepatch from his face (now replaced in the present by an easily removed contact) to reveal his right eye in all of its glory. Allowing it to shine a startling bright red, contrasting his normally golden-brown eyes. By placing his hand over the eye and chanting what appears to be an ancient and forgotten verse, the red colour becomes a glowing red aura that surrounds Joshua and whatever weapon he wields. This aura drives the wearer into a berserk like state giving them immense strength and agility for an extended period of time. This ability does not come free however, any damage taken while in this state targets both of Joshua's eyes, not just the red one, aswell as the rest of his body and usually after the ability wears off Joshua will feel immense pain in, and bleed from, his eyes. This effect will wear off after a few moments leaving his vision blurred and leaving his body almost completely paralyzed for hours, preventing him from reusing the ability until regaining his movement. As an added bonus to this ability, Joshua can give his red eye aura to someone else rather than himself, allowing them to use the power normally reserved for him. The only condition is that the new user of the aura MUST remain within Joshua's line of sight. All other effects remain the same and should the one gifted with the aura sustain serious damage then Joshua will be left in severe pain for a few moments and complete paralysis for hours after that. Should someone die under the red eyes influence, Joshua will be left permanently and completely paralyzed. As well as loosing all access to the ability.

"Angels touch"
Once again named by those who have seen it in use. Joshua has the ability to take away the pain of others in return for applying it to himself. He can heal a broken arm in return for his own arm breaking. He can remove a large cut if he doesn't mind being cut himself. He could even remove disabilities such as dyslexia and paralysis, but as such they will be applied to himself. Joshua may return the problem he takes to its original host, but only if the original host agrees to take it back. Joshua can NOT give others HIS pain, nor can he give one persons pain to another person using himself as a medium.

Passive Abilities:
None currently known.

Weapon:
"Black Blade: Atramatta"
Image
A mysterious and flashy blade, able to fold into itself so that its shape and size are that of a common shiv. A quick flick of the wrist unfurls the unassuming tool into the powerful blade it is. Despite its impressive appearance however, the sword has no supernatural or otherwordly properties besides its impossible folding capacity. It's handle is crafted from fine silver and its blade from purest ebony, making it extremely sharp, durable and expensive beyond measure, however other than its ability to fold it is naught but a sword. The only way it becomes more is when it becomes charged with the red eye aura, making it stronger and faster, however the same could be said about any weapon, melee or ranged for that matter. Aside from this it appears to bear some sentimental value to Joshua though he doesn't appear to know why. "I saw it in a store owned by a man who seemed to possess a strange aura and instantly knew that I had to buy it. I don't why but I am simply drawn to it.

Image

"If this is the essence of who I am... then I will not allow myself to be ashamed!."

ImagePersonality:Quick to speak and quicker to react. The immediately confident and opinionated personality of Joshua Edard Rowan may come across as arrogant and/or rude upon first meeting. He believes completely in his own word, seeing the World through his own views and refusing to believe in another persons perception. This doesn't mean he can't accept new things mind you, he is always willing to listen and may rather than seeing things in the same way as another, take what they see and look at it in a similar way, however if he hears something that he doesn't agree with at all, he will flat out refuse to accept it and would be willing to put life on the line to prove what he knows is right. He is indeed stubborn in this way. He has only truly admitted he was wrong ONCE and even then it took him weeks to do so. He is also however very persuasive and this combined with a clearly persistent need to be correct has often led to him recruiting followers and changing the views of others. One could say that in this way he would suit the role of a "natural born leader" and had the circumstances of his life so far have been different he may very well have been. "What's the point in a belief if you don't fight for it?"

Seeing this personality, anybody could easily find Joshua an annoyance, someone who cares for nobody but themselves and sees the views of others but nothing but formalities that he must entertain to survive in a world filled with others who he views as nothing more than fools and while there may be a few shreds of truth hidden in such an opinion it is surely not the case. Joshua is kind at heart and enjoys the company of others more than almost anything else in the World. Even though at times he may feign scorn for companionship, it is something he earnestly enjoys and would happily talk to a good friend for hours on end had he the opportunity to do so, though still displaying his imposing and stubborn persona near the beginning of conversation as he talks he reveals his nicer side and often tells quick jokes using a hidden sense of humor. Not just with friends either, Joshua would have no trouble conversing with a stranger should they show him the same amounts of respect he would show them. "Conversation rests at the core of any relationship, no?"

As previously mentioned Joshua is nothing but a kind heart at the core of his being. He has seen adversity in its ugliest forms and dealt with the constant threat of prosecution his entire life all due to the dark power stored in an eye that he did not choose to possess. Yet still he has an incredible sense of kindness and duty and often when he sees someone weaker than himself being picked on or bullied in some way he feels an uncontrollable urge to intervene, to help and to defend those who cannot defend themselves through whatever means he deems necessary, this "do or die" sense of helping others has caused him a fair bit of trouble and during the course of the earthquake and on other various occasions it has almost gotten him killed. Despite this, Joshua is actually quite intelligent, a complete and utter genius for the time from which he comes. He is confident in this fact to the point where he could hold a solid debate with a person from the present or even the future, quickly grasping their logic and ideas all the while keeping words in his mouth and a smile on his face.

"Past, present, future... I'm sick of the focus placed upon them. The only time I care for is the moment in which I choose to live, the moment where I can live with acceptance from a World too cruel to give it!"

Theme Song:
~Coils Of Light~
-English Singer unknown, Original Japanese vocals - Raychell-

All riven, kith and kin
All given for this, a never-ending riddle
My flesh worn, heart betorn
Mind, byīģŋ mem'ry, begyved...

As I wander, cold and immane?
Whither now my mother, my flame?
And along the coils of light
The life I desired?

"Anon must we part"?
Words like a dart, red and dire
Eyne that accoyed with their heat

O! How I have seen the dragon's dogma!
Unbound by time, all-binding, grand design.
Land and skies and seas yearn,
Finish the cycle of eternal return!

When thou pulledst this boy from the sand,
Didst thou see him bearded, with brand?
And within the coils of light, when our blades took flight,
What future didst thou envision?!

As I keep this frozen demesne...
Whither now my mother, my flame?
And along the coilsīģŋ of light
The life I desired?

So begins...

Aria Deomon

Image

All she remembered from before was an earthquake terrorizing the few animals she had, the nearby town falling down, and then her own house crashing down onto her. It was frightening for her, one of the most frightening things she had experienced since having to go to the neighbors for salt since she ran out. And the next thing Aria knew, she was in a building, one that looks much different from her actual house.

Aria opened her eyes and found herself in an old and abandoned house. The floors and ceilings were dirty along with spiders and their webs hanging everywhere, which she wasn't really afraid of since she'd seen plenty back in her own house, "Ah dear... Where did Mavin go?" Was the first thing she asked herself.

Mavin was the first thing to come to her mind. Since she practically lived alone, like most people in her time, so the only 'people' to accompany her were the 'fairies' she could see. Mythical beings? Spirits? Demons? Who knows what they really are, but she simply calls them that, and the only one that Aria is very close to is Mavin.

The little fairy dipped out from underneath a crushed wooden table and climbed into the pocket of Aria's apron, "Eh? Is something the matter?" She asked, since she could feel him shaking, but since fairies couldn't really talk, from what she knew, of course he didn't answer.

"And where are we?" She continued asking herself, and Mavin. Aria was used to talking to herself since she lived alone in her house, and especially since Mavin couldn't talk. Aria got up, and ducked her head a little to avoid a large spider. It was hardly bright, a simple window lighting the room, which almost looked like a prison cell because of the lack in color, homely items, and since it only had one door to go out.

Aria walked near that door, which was left hanging on one hinge, and peered outside, cupping one hand around her mouth and shouting, "Hello? Is anyone there?"

It was a simple shout, but it was sure to get someone's attention, "Oh Mavin.... where's our house? Although it's ruined, this place doesn't look anything like home..." She sighed, but didn't dare to leave the room since she was afraid of getting completely lost.

Yuu Kokonose

Image

Yuu's memories were a little blurred, sort of like mud in clear water. He remembered a little part of being in his house with his mother and older sister who were both eating breakfast, his mother getting ready for her job and sister going on a trip with her friends while he just sat on the couch and watched TV, being the lazy person he is.

Once the two left, and a few hours later though, he turned on the tv to the news, for some reason, and found a very important someone exclaiming that it was the end of the world. The TV then went black, and a shaking was felt by everyone in his city. He scrambled outside and saw buildings falling, cars driving, people running, and children screaming. It was catastrophe.

But that was all. From there, everything was just blank. He didn't know if he ran away, if he just stood there, if he checked on his family, he wasn't sure at all. He couldn't even guess what he did, and although the thoughts still scared him a little, it just felt like it was all a bad dream.

Immediately, his eyes flashed open and he sat up, only to hit his head on a broken table he was underneath. Of course he let out a small yelp from the surprised and sudden slight pain, but he calmed down a moment later, rubbing his forehead, and climbed out from underneath it.

"Where... exactly am I?" He asked himself quietly, not meaning to say anything out loud, but by accident of course.

The first thing he did was pull out his phone and call his mother, caring about his family very much. But once he tried, nothing came though. His mother didn't pick up, and it made him a little worried, so he tried his sister's phone, and nothing came from that either. Yuu got a little more anxious, especially since he was in an old and ruined house, which could have been effected by the earthquake he felt on what was supposed to be 'an hour ago.'

He heard someone call out, unsure of the voice, but rushed out the room, hoping to either find the owner, or and exit to the outside, which he needed much more.

~Joshua Edard Rowan~

Image

Flames... destruction... carnage... what... what was happening? Joshua was running, faster than he had ever run before. He couldn't remember why... but he had to keep running, there was something... urgent. The ground around him began to collapse and fall, old building of wood and cobble began to collapse and sink into the very Earth... as if Hell itself had decided to swallow them up. He was outside, running along the slowly crumbling cobble streets of a town well beyond saving. Others got in his way, scared, terrified.

"I should help them..." He spoke to himself, but as if controlled by some external force he shoved them aside, willingly tossing them away in his attempts at running forward. He suddenly realised that in reality he had no control of his body whatsoever... so was this a nightmare or a dream? No surely then he'd have some control... so then... a memory? He grimaced as the people he ran past in their fear were no match for him, he knocked them aside as if they were nothing, men, women and children. They were all just obstacles and he gladly seemed to be tossing them from his path, leaving the rapidly approaching chasms to swallow them up. Dragging them to hard and cruel deaths that undoubtedly awaited below. Questions were rushing through his mind. Could this have been the end? Was the World imploding around him? Whatever the case, he didn't seem to care at the time the memory truly took place.

After running for what felt like an eternity the caverns played a card of trickery, stretching around and in front of Joshua. Though this only served to anger him and in a flash he ripped the black eyepatch from his face and began to chant while covering his right eye with his hand. As he was but a step away from the falling Earth a flash of red light shone and bathed in its aura Josh launched across the chasm with ease. He ran forward and turned a corner to finally see what he assumed was his goal. A gathering of desperate individuals, kneeling before a slowly burning wooden post. A girl with face, tear-stained, crying desperately as the flames slowly began to lick her heels. Joshua heard a familiar click in his own hand and saw the black blade he knew so well unfurl in his hands. What followed was gruesome to say the least and Joshua desperately attempted to avert his gaze... but the nature of this vision prevented such. His black blade turned red as his aura as he cut through the weak and terrified villagers in his path. However, lost in his anger, the ground finally caught up and collapsed under Joshua's feet... and so he fell, his lips moving and screaming a final scream as he reached desperately to the ash ridden sky slowly shrinking above him.

***

"DAMN I!!!!" The shout came out more droned and tired than he expected, but it was still decently loud and Josh tried to calm himself down as his eyes shot open and he jolted forward, arm outstretched. As he caught his breath he sat still for a moment... trying to remember exactly what he had just witnessed but... nothing... he couldn't remember any of that ever truly happening. But then... it all seemed so real. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes and deciding it to be a vivid nightmare for the time being Josh felt another problem tugging at his mind.

"Oh..." He began. "What's the matter this time?" Glancing quickly around however Josh quickly realised just what the problem was however. He had absolutely no idea where he was... "Ahh yes... that makes sense... so where am I?" He continued speaking, seemingly to nobody in particular before looking around the room. It was a plain area... but... different to the typical house he was used to. He sat on a fairly well preserved leather sofa, the walls were plastered white and seemed to be peeling , the floor was lined with creaky old floorboards and behind him there was a single open window. A single closed door stood on the wall across from him. He continued thinking... even with his bearings he had no recollection of ever visiting that place, then... had the vision he had just seen been the last recorded events in his memory... had he... fallen into some house? Fallen into another World? Ha... surely not. He had always enjoyed a good jest but such things were impossible! Then again... so were his strange abilities... *Gah!* He thought. He had so many questions but precious few answers and even those answers just confused him further.

Desperate for a change of scenery and jumping out the window to find it, Joshua heard a girls voice calling from very close by. "Hello? Is anyone there?" Slightly startled, yet equally intrigued by the voices tone and accent which both sounded subtly unfamiliar, Josh drew towards the voice, perhaps it was the houses owner and through her he could gain some answers. However as he circumnavigated the house to find the door the broken door the girls voice came from, he halted before approaching her as she started to speak again. "Oh Mavin.... where's our house? Although it's ruined, this place doesn't look anything like home..." So then... was this girl in the same situation as him? Only one way to find out.

Approaching the girl he stopped a moment after making himself visible to her and began to speak, making sure not to draw too close too quickly. "Excuse me M'lady, I heard you calling... are you... lost aswell?" It was an awkward greeting if anything, but Josh could think of nothing more appropriate to say.

ImageMikasa closed her eyes breathing carefully as she had been taught her in training. She had overworked herself the night before and she had barely gotten any sleep in days as she continued training with Yuki, her best friend. One of the downsides of being 'different' from everyone else was that Mikasa couldn't feel tiredness of exhaustion, so instead she had to be careful and learn when to stop, something she failed miserably at doing.

They had decided to train in the outskirts of the city this time, seeing how there weren't a lot of people around and that they could train freely without holding back or without causing fear to others. Since every time they did or that they showed their skills people would freak out, they would always try to train without peeping eyes.

Mikasa and Yuki were fighting each other with everything they had, after all they were almost equals in fighting skills and even if they did get bruises or injuries they could heal faster than any average human. Mikasa laughed as Yuki almost bruised her face with a punch, "You've gotten faster Yuki." Strangely Mikasa could feel her body shaking, but that didn't stop her from throwing Yuki out of balance and letting her fall to the ground.

Suddenly, while still in the ground, Mika heard Yuki's voice yelling out, "Mika! you're bleeding from your nose again. Let's stop..." she said knowing what Mikasa's answer would be. "Not again..." Mikasa whispered before passing out.

--------------------

As soon as Mikasa opened up her eyes, her eyes searched for Yuki who must have surely taken her to her house as she always did when she would pass out. However, her eyes found another house or what was left of it anyways, she opened her eyes trying to figure out what had happened or better yet if this place was safe to begin with. For a second she thought she might have been captured, kidnapped, it had not been the first time they had done something like this, kidnapping superhumans and making experiments on them. For that reason, superhumans were extremely rare to see in Mika's land.

Even so, the kidnapping scenario did not quite fit into the situation, if they wanted to they would have chained her or drugged her by now. Mikasa remained quiet studying the situation carefully. I still have my weapons.... and my equipment when I was with Yuki, she thought for a moment. She examined the room and found a fallen door that was entrapping the exit, along with cardboard boxes that seemed to be packed, she moved steadily and approached the door. Without second thoughts she shoved the boxes with a kick, some of them falling to the side while others simple got pushed to the side. The door finally fell completely to the other side of the exit finally making a loud noise as soon as it hit the ground.

She was exiting the door, when Mikasa got distracted by another noise, a female voice that was not too far from where she was "hello, is anyone there?" the voice said. Mikasa surprised at the voice simply moved closer to the voice trying to figure out exactly what was happening. When she finally reached the source she noticed a small hand reaching out for help. She was trapped behind a door that was barely hanging.Suddenly the girl spoke again, "Oh Mavin.... where's our house? Although it's ruined, this place doesn't look anything like home..." Mikasa sensed fear in the girl's voice, which only resulted on the conclusion that she was not a threat to her... for now Mikasa's untrusting nature answered. She also wondered if there was someone else inside with her, which caused her to become even more cautious of getting her out of there in the first place.

For a moment she hesitated wether to help the girl or not, she did not know anything about her, but she couldn't just let her alone without doing anything. "Hey, I need you to step back for me... Unless you want the door to crush you, of course" said Mikasa the forever sweet talker. She knew the door would not be able to hold for long, but didn't want to wait to figure out on what side it would fall, so instead she would try to take down the door as she had done with hers. Before she did though, she noticed someone else standing not too close and not too far from where she was, it was a male that spoke with outmost courtesy, "Excuse me M'lady, I heard you calling... are you... lost aswell?." Mikasa was confused, no doubt, What's going on in here? Lost?.

Mikasa moved closer making her presence obvious to the new stranger eyes. She starred at him without any expression and wondered of his origins, somehow this male was different, he gave off a strange energy. Not like Yuki and hers... simply different. She didn't want to interrupt his polite introduction, even though she didn't mind interrupting at such strange scenario, but couldn't help to notice the door could fall down at any given moment.

"I'm sorry to interrupt.. but, if we do not do something, the door might fall on whoever is behind this door. So I suggest, once again" she said turning her head now to the female voice, "please step back" with a demanding tone.

She waited for the girl to give her the sign that she was ready, and once she did she gave a high kick to the door nocking it down and allowing her to see the girl. She was really small from Mika's perspective and her pink hair was something completely new to Mikasa, from where she was it was an extremely rarity, the girl suddenly made Mikasa even more doubtful of where she was. Before she had any time to question her and interrogate her though, she remembered the presence of the stranger, and she heard footsteps coming near them.

Suddenly Mikasa pulled one of her blades to her defense, one can never be too sure of anything her thoughts concluded as she met the green eyes of the boy who was rushing his way through.

Aria Demon | Yuu Kokonose

Image

Aria sighed, since no one seemed to answer from behind the stuck door. She looked down in her pocket, opening it up slightly to see the small fairy in her pocket. He wasn't sleeping, since his eyes were wide open as always, but he did seem huddled up, as if he was trying to make himself at home, since they were far from it, "Well, it looks like we're stuck here Mavin... wherever we are..."

She was about to sit down onto one of the old chair before a voice was heard, "Hey, I need you to step back for me... Unless you want the door to crush you, of course"

Aria immediately straitened up. She didn't say anything because she was a little afraid of who this person may be. It was obviously a female, but she was unsure about if she was friendly or not. Aria wasn't one to criticize people at the first moment, but she was thinking a little negatively so far by what she said, 'But she seems like she's willing to help me...' Aria gulped a little nervously, 'Then I-I guess it wouldn't hurt to try and respond...'

Image

"O-Of course!" She said before moving away slightly, near the chair in the back of the room. It was in the very far back, being around a whole 10 or 15 feet away from the door, and it was unnecessary to be so far away, but just in case, since she was always on to take precaution.

Then, another voice called out, and this time, it was a male, "Excuse me M'lady, I heard you calling... are you... lost aswell?."

Aria felt a little more anxious. The more people, the scarier she felt. In her time, there were only around 4 or 5 people, and just asking for something made her scared. Nevertheless, if she was able to return to where she came from in the beginning, she could be fine, so in the mean time, she sucked it up, "Y-yes sir! I assume that you are also then...." The thought of being with a bunch of lost stranger made her shiver. Her mother told her not to get too close to strangers, and now she was disobeying, 'W-what would she think if she knew...'

Suddenly, the door bursted open, and she met the eyes of two strangers- Three actually since the third just came running into view. One was the female she saw, her medium length brown hair, and her unusual outfit she had never seen. There was no military for her, or any sort of defense system or guards, so she was quiet curious about this young woman, though she didn't seem much older than her. But she did take note of the weapon. Yes, the weapon, which is what made her a little frightened as she did take one more step back.

The next person she saw was a young man, also seeming the age of the four who were pretty much in the same room. Unlike the other female, he looked quite normal, compared to all of them actually, having regular blackish brown hair and a normal colored pair of eyes. She couldn't' say that she felt too comfortable though, since this person was also a stranger, just like the other two she didn't know of just yet.

The last was one who looked younger than all three of them, just slightly. What caught her attention were his green eyes, and the odd outfit, again. Although it wasn't the same as the girl with the military looking outfit, to Aria, it had a sort of similar feeling to it. She didn't have schools in her time, so she didn't know it was just a regular male's school uniform.

Yuu only arrived to see three people, instead of the girl's voice which he wanted to find to get out. But he only seemed to find a bunch of three people, who all appeared to be lost rather than having to have found an exit out of.... well... whatever building they were in, 'I swear we're in Japan... We're still in my home city... We have to be...' He thought, though he began to doubt that based on that one odd girl's hair, the strange feeling he got from the male, and especially the weapon in the older girl's hand. He poked it, probably seeming rude, and said, "Hey lady... I get you may be in the military or whatever... but it's an outdated weapon... whatever that... and those," He pointed at the gas tanks, "And lower your weapon... it's not like we're foreigners or anything...."

Then, Aria spoke up, hoping to get an answer, even though she hated to talk to people she didn't know, and especially since there was a whole group of them, "U-Um... D-do any of you know the exit...? I-I don't remember your faces in my village... and we never have new comers either since there's only a few people left of us..." She referred to her home town.

Aria still believed she was in another crushed house in her own time, when she was really all the way back in 2028, and in Japan instead of... where ever she lived. It was a whole one thousand years apart.

"Well, I can't say I know." Yuu responded, still keeping an eye on the people in the room, mostly just the young girl with the weapon in her hand, "An earthquake happened, buildings crashed... I think people died too... Anyways, where do you guys live?" He asked the three, "I live in Tokyo, and you guys look like foreigners. It may take a while to get back home if that's the case..." He said, though the earthquake happened in 2030, and he got reversed a whole year back, unknowingly. Not only that, but he had no clue the people around him were not in the same time as him, "Anyways, I guess we might as well say our names, right? Since I'm assuming none of us know the way out. Yuu Kokonose." He said.

Aria blinked at the person's response, but said nothing of it, thinking it was a land far form her hometown, "A-Aria Deomon.... P-Pleasure to meet you all...."

~Joshua Edard Rowan~

"Hey, I need you to step back for me... Unless you want the door to crush you, of course" Joshua stepped back at the sudden appearance of this woman, who was she? Why did she have such strange weapons and why was she so... eager to destroy the door in a building that clearly was not soundly built? Joshua felt his eyes quickly running up and down her body, but his eyes kept returning to the strange blades she seemed to wield... they were... different, to what he normally encountered. He heard the other girl respond positively and move away from the door. "Wait a moment! That's not a safe ide..." *CRASH* Before he could even finish his sentence the young woman who, admittedly, seemed to be on par with his age, had kicked down the door with great force. In anger, Joshua reached into his pocket instinctively, his hand wrapping around the black shiv like object that in truth his Ebony blade and... wait... It as still there?! Joshua's anger was quickly replaced by a sigh of relief... as he lessened his quick approach. For a few moments he had assumed it not to be with him. Still his aggression quickly returned and he approached the woman with the strange blades whom he had noticed had been staring at him without the slightest hint of emotion.

"Do you suffer from illness M'lady? Or are you really so dull as to violently kick down doors in a house that looks fit to collapse as it is... honestly it's like this place was hit by an... earthquake." He paused momentarily. Just like his memory... or vision... or whatever it was... this place felt like it had been struck by a quake of the Earth itself. Either that or some very angry people with weapons had come through here and with the violent actions of the girl to which he had just spoken, he wasn't ruling out that as a possibility. He felt he was lost in thought so he quickly adjusted himself and stood up right, about to speak further but as he began to do so he heard another voice in response to his earlier statement, from the girl that had stood beyond the now ruined door.

"Y-yes sir! I assume that you are also then...." Joshua was taken aback by her appearance at first and did not respond to her words directly. "Y...you're hair... it... it is the color of the flowers that bloom by the roadside..." On his travels, Josh had encountered a peculiar breed of flower the bloomed in a pink shade, the normally dull tones of the medieval era made such a color a rare sight so to him this girls hair was both unique and beautiful. He was quite taken aback to be sure, on the note of strange colors, it didn't seem that anybody had noticed his red eye, which glistened brighter in the dull light of the room. He wasn't complaining of course but it was... odd. Maybe they had and simply weren't mentioning it? He couldn't be sure. Joshua realised he was still staring at the girls hair and straightened. "A... ahem yes M'lady, I believe I am in the same situation as you... should that be a good or a bad thing I have yet to see."

"I swear we're in Japan... We're still in my home city... We have to be..." Josh jumped and turned at the sound of the strangers voice, he was shocked by his sudden approach but lowered his guard at the sight of his appearance. He didn't seem a threat and there was no bad vibes to him. He looked fairly normal, his clothing was a little strange maybe but he couldn't exactly judge as everybody else's was a little different to Joshua's perspective also. "Hey lady... I get you may be in the military or whatever... but it's an outdated weapon... whatever that... and those," He pointed at some small tank like apparatus, unfamiliar to Joshua in every way.... these were outdated? What was going on here?... "And lower your weapon... it's not like we're foreigners or anything...." Foreigners? Well that was true... in terms of appearance and nationality... these people seemed to be of at least similar origin to Joshua in some ways. But wasn't that even stranger? In all his life, Joshua had been considered an outcast for both his eye and his appearance. How odd. Still, at the very least this boy was talking sense and seemed to be trying to calm the situation down a little... Still had he said Japan? Surely not... he had heard about the land of Japan and it's emperor briefly in his travels... but it was years travel from his previous location and he had never even hastened a guess that he would ever see the country... they couldn't have been where they were... could it?

"Aye, this young man is correct, if those weapons are drawn then how can relations be continued in peace? It is most appropriate that you would sheathe them post haste." Joshua remarked, siding with the new arrival on the matter.

"U-Um... D-do any of you know the exit...? I-I don't remember your faces in my village... and we never have new comers either since there's only a few people left of us..." The young lady bearing hair alike to the color of flowers had spoke this time, she seemed to be seeking an exit to the building they were apparently stuck in... which was a fair proposal as leaving said location would surely provide access to other people, those who would know of their true location. "Well, I can't say I know." the boy responded and Josh decided to listen for a moment.

"An earthquake happened, buildings crashed... I think people died too... Anyways, where do you guys live?" He asked the Joshua and the girls, "I live in Tokyo, and you guys look like foreigners. It may take a while to get back home if that's the case..." Joshua froze with a troubled expression... did he say... an earthquake? "Anyways, I guess we might as well say our names, right? Since I'm assuming none of us know the way out. Yuu Kokonose." Josh was still frozen. Did that mean.... His vision really had been a memory... Had he killed all those people?! Just to save himself?! He felt his knees wobble and he tried to remain upright. What on Earth had he done?! He had to... he had to find out the truth! He had to escape that building... and perhaps with the assistance of these others he could do just that.

As the pink haired girl introduced herself as Aria, Joshua spoke. "I am called Joshua, Joshua Edard Rowan... I hale from now particular kingdom that I am aware of, I have traveled near all my life.... I believe that introductions are nice but we really need to escape from here... I also remember an Earthquake like you mentioned... it was horrible... and if such an even truly took place then surely we must leave and make certain of what has transpired." Joshua finished and held his forehead in thought. Just what trickery had taken place?!

ImageMikasa kept eyeing the male with strange eyes, one of his eyes was red as crimson while the other had seemingly normal appearance. Was he like her? 'a superhuman?Unlikely, Impossible....' she thought. Even though she was doubtful, she remained with a perfect posture and without moving, she remained calm looking at the male who unexpectedly inspired curiosity in Mikasa. She had heard stories about people who possessed such eyes who had great abilities, people from the past, but she had never a witness of something like this before.

As soon as she tumbled the door down, the male showed his anger and disapproval in high measure. Before speaking it seemed as if he was reaching out for something... and object, 'a weapon'. Mikasa didn't move a muscle as he stopped himself. "Do you suffer from illness M'lady? Or are you really so dull as to violently kick down doors in a house that looks fit to collapse as it is... honestly it's like this place was hit by an... earthquake." To his angry reply, Mikasa simply let out a small laugh. It was not loud enough to be called scandalous, at the end she erased her smile and starred at the male solemnly. "Sire, I do not wish to explain myself much more than I want to stay in here. Besides, it seemed like the better solution... at the moment" she admittedly said realizing what the male had said had some truth, the place did seemed like it was about to collapse.

It was then when he spoke again, however now addressing the other female with the strange pink hair. It seemed like he was also taken by surprise by her hair as he made remarks on observation filled with curiosity and awe. However, Mikasa was taken back before she could listen to their conversation as the male she eyed before poked one of her blades. As with instinct she shoved his finger with the same rudeness she had received. She was angry no doubt as the young man spoke again, "Hey lady... I get you may be in the military or whatever... but it's an outdated weapon... whatever that... and those He said bluntly pointing at her gas tank as well. Had she been in a good mood she would have ignored his rudeness, but today was not the case. "Outdated or not.... this weapons are enough to slice through anything. And that includes your pretty face if you do not back off". The boy continued talking despite her threat, "lower your weapon... it's not like we're foreigners or anything...."

Even though the boy did not seemed like any possible threat, Mikasa did not move her weapons in the slightest. Instead she gripped into the handle of the blades even more. "Aye, this young man is correct, if those weapons are drawn then how can relations be continued in peace? It is most appropriate that you would sheathe them post haste" said the other young man. Without further involvement, and without waiting for the other girl to advise her the same, Mikasa finally stored her blades in her weapon mechanism. Even so, she did not let her guard off for even a second, she had grown used to always being cautious and she was not going to change now.

"U-Um... D-do any of you know the exit...? I-I don't remember your faces in my village... and we never have new comers either since there's only a few people left of us..." said the girl with the flamboyant hair. Mikasa replayed her words over and over not being able to make sense of any, 'Village? there are only a few people left of us? what did she mean by it. Was her family destroyed by the war as mine had been? Does she live in the outskirts of the citadel?' So many unanswered questions did Mikasa had, however her occupied mind was interrupted as the other male spoke again.
"Well, I can't say I know" he said while keeping his eyes on Mikasa as she did the same to him. "An earthquake happened, buildings crashed... I think people died too... Anyways, where do you guys live?"he paused for a minute, now looking at the three of them. An earthquake? Mikasa did not understand anything that was going on. From the appearance of the building, the scenario on an earthquake did seem to fit in, however how could this happen? it had not been long since the last earthquake back to Mikasa's land and now, had it happened again? As if the war wasn't enough now they had to deal with another catastrophe. Mikasa's strong forte was shattered as soon as she remembered her sisters. Her face was now filled with worry, 'Are they ok? Was Yuki there to save them?! where are they? Are they safe, scared even?! surely they must be...

"I live in Tokyo, and you guys look like foreigners. It may take a while to get back home if that's the case..." he paused for a while before continuing "Anyways, I guess we might as well say our names, right? Since I'm assuming none of us know the way out. Yuu Kokonose." The other girl followed his suggestion by saying her name, her name was Aria Deomon. The other male ended up doing the same as he said, "I am called Joshua, Joshua Edard Rowan... I hale from now particular kingdom that I am aware of, I have traveled near all my life.... I believe that introductions are nice but we really need to escape from here... I also remember an Earthquake like you mentioned... it was horrible... and if such an even truly took place then surely we must leave and make certain of what has transpired."

Finally regaining her stoic composure, and without wanting anyone to notice her worrisome condition she spoke swiftly addressing Joshua now, "Why Sire Edard, you surprise me. Seeing how you hurried to save miss Aria" She paused for a minute before continuing, "I would have thought you would want to see if there are any other people trapped before we exit the building, but I see I was mistaken" Mikasa said before introducing herself. "As for my name, Mikasa, Mikasa Clark".

Now heading to the new addition that was hiding behind one of the rooms nearby, she spoke swiftly and without even the slightest hesitation, "As for you... head out and show yourself."

ImageNaomi stood quiet feeling a bad headache when she woke up in a flash to a loud noise that sounded nearby. 'Where am I? she wondered for a moment. All she could remember was being on her way to school, hurrying to go to her English class, but she did not recall ever going to a house that seemed to be in its last moments, waiting to collapse.

She moved slowly trying to get up, any sudden movements would surely cause a bigger pain. She heard another loud noise again as she finally stood up. She was still in her school uniform, which was a bit dirty now from the dust in the room, and nearby she had found her school bag. She moved without hesitation towards the noise to find a woman with mid length hair and strange clothing. But that was not everything, she also carried with her some kind of mechanism which contained two gas tanks.

Out of curiosity and wanting to know what had happened, Naomi followed the strange girl after picking her backpack. She saw how she helped the other girl with pink hair, 'So pretty~' she said to herself. She was also shocked when she saw the other male with a red eye, 'Is he wearing contacts?' she wondered for a minute. As Yuu joined the conversation Naomi let out a sigh of relief, 'He looks like a student. Wait... he goes to my school, he has the same school uniform!'

Without noticing, Naomi had been listening to their conversation between the four for as long as she could, hiding behind a room that was nearby. She did not know why she was hiding in the first place, but for the moment she thought it was the best choice.. Finally, after each one of them introduced themselves, she had decided to come out but was caught off guard as the girl with mid length hair called her out.

"Ummm... Hello? My name is Naomi Kosatsu.", she said awkwardly before turning her eyes to the boy with green eyes. "I didn't mean to interrupt and to eavesdrop on everyone, but... I don't know what's happening either. All I remember is heading to school, and then waking up in here..." she said sincerely. "Is it true?"she said looking at both Yuu and Joshua, "was there really an earthquake?

Riye Wakahisa
&
Kei Wakahisa

ImageRiye had a headache. Not unsurprisingly considering the place she had managed to fall asleep in. Honestly, she felt fortunate that a headache was all she had to deal with. Narcolepsy certainly made any situation worse. If she recalled properly, she was caught in an earthquake while walking home with Kei and after having attempted to run to safety ended up falling asleep against a telephone pole. Yawning and rubbing her temples, Riye attempted to sit up and look around. This was most definitely not a telephone pole. No this was the inside of a run down, falling to pieces building that may or may not be abandoned. For all she knew ghosts could be wandering the halls. Not that the idea particularly bothered her.

The only thing bothering her at the moment was the heavy and strangely warm object laying on top of her and making it nearly impossible to sit up. She stared at it. After a moment recollection of why the object looked strangely familiar filled her mind. "Why hello there big brother." He did not stir. "I know you well enough to know you can't possibly be asleep so would you get off of me. You're heavy." Nothing again. Doing the only thing she could think of she smacked the top of his head. The light haired boy didn't flinch and Riye noticed her hand seemed wet. Looking at it her eyes widened. That red liquid was most certainly blood. An ear shattering, blood curdling scream echoed through the halls.

"Kei! Don't die! You can't be dead! Oh my fragile big brother! I'm so sorry I couldn't protect you! I didn't mean to fall asleep!" Finding new found strength she lifted both herself and her brother and squeezed his head. In her frantic state she didn't notice the boy awakening from his unconscious state.

"Riye? Whatever are you talking about?" The girl froze and stared down at the top of the boy's head. Kei's hand moved to her arms and pried them loose so that he could sit up. Seeing his sister in her somewhat shocked condition he smiled in a gentle manner hoping to bring her out of her stupor. He did wince slightly at the throbbing and stinging he felt on the back of his head. I must of been struck in the back of the head during the earthquake...

Unfortunately for Kei, his smile had the opposite affect than the one he had been hoping for. Rather than calming her with the knowledge that he was alright, it irked her that he was smiling in a situation when she was obviously unnerved. His twin sister was always a little unpredictable. Punching him in the arm with all the strength she could muster she growled at him, "This is hardly the time to be smiling, you idiot. I seriously thought you had died!"

"I am deeply apologetic to have scared you. I will reflect on my actions." Kei bowed his head in defeat before standing up, "Perhaps, however, this is something to be done in a safer and more familiar location?" Riye yawned as she too stood up. The pair made their way to the only door leading out of the room, Kei in the lead."Watch your step."

ImageRiye rolled her eyes as they stepped into the hallway. Neither of the two nineteen year olds had any clue where it was they were headed but neither one of them felt it was safe to stay in a building this old after an apparent earthquake. Of course, neither voiced the singular thought they both shared. How had they gotten in this building to begin with? It was a perfectly reasonable question to have since neither could recall having entered it. It irritated Kei to be completely unaware. Whoever brought us here certainly has some explaining to do, and he will explain.

"So where do you think the exit is? 'Cuz I've got no idea." Riye finally said after the two had been wandering for only a short time. Kei chuckled and shook his head at his sister's impatience. He opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted by his Riye's voice, "Maybe they know."

Kei turned to look at his sister, confusion evident on his face. "Who is 'they'?"

Riye pointed down the hallway,"They owners of those auras, of course." She stated with a matter of fact tone. Kei looked ahead, while he could not see auras he trusted his sister's sight well enough to believe her when she said there were people ahead. Sure enough, the closer they got to the end of the hall the more he could hear multiple voices. They sounded as though they were making introductions. The pair peeked around a corner and saw said group of people that Riye had spoken of. "Told you there were people down here."

Kei smiled kindly at his twin, "Your talent never fails to amaze me." Riye gave her brother a bored look and yawned, Kei opted to look forward at the group. He did not trust them. For multiple reasons. The first being the strange appearance of many of the members of the group; at least one of them had bright pink hair and many of the others wore outfits not befitting to the time period. The second reason was the fact that he couldn't help but suspect them of being the reason that he and his sister were caught in this building, and the third and final reason was that at least two were armed with weapons.

"They're weird looking." Kei looked down at his sister a worried smile gracing his lips, Her bluntness never fails to amuse.

"Riye, that's rude." The youngest sibling rolled her eyes at her elder in response to his comment, just being honest here. Stepping forward and inconspicuously angling himself between his sister and the armed characters, Kei smiled apologetically, "We are quite sorry to interrupt your conversation but we seem to be lost inside this building and we were in hopes one of you may be able to direct us towards the exit."

"I'm not sorry."

"Riye." Kei spoke her name sternly as he frowned at her.

"What? I haven't done anything to feel sorry for. They are weird looking," Riye covered her mouth as another yawn escaped her lips before continuing, "their colors are all wrong." She eyed them with sleepy eyes as she yawned yet again. Not one of their auras were the right color, and some of their auras shape was just plain creepy. Staring at the guy with the strange glowing red eye her spine tingled. His aura was dark. Really, really dark. Yet, it didn't really strike her as being evil either, weird.

~Ariana Ahikito Kaizuke~

Image
Ariana shivered and turned in her restless sleep, she saw horrible images, sights of explosions, destruction, falling buildings and death... so much death. It made her feel dead inside just thinking about it. Where was her Mother? Was she alright? She hadn't seen her since that morning when she'd left for the lab. She was in a rush that... morning she hadn't given a proper goodbye... a hug... nothing, just a quick wave of the hand and out the door. Ariana felt like screaming, she was scared, terrified, her sleep was filled with nothing but darkness and this host of horrible swirling images and thoughts that served no purpose it seemed but to instill within her a dark shroud of terror. Tears began to stream down the girls face. She wanted it all to stop... "Mama-chan..." she whimpered silently. "Please be Ok..."

With a quick jolt Ariana jumped slightly and her eyes flickered open. Where... was she? She couldn't remember anything! What was going on?! She felt a wetness on her face and realised she had been crying heavily in her sleep, wiping her face quickly she regained her composure and stiffened her back, poising herself into a more refined position... and so she thought. She was still a bit disoriented, unsure of her surroundings, she appeared to be... wedged behind a sofa? How had she ended up there? She quickly raked through her memory until she arrived at the horrible events of her dream... no, of her memory. She had been working at the lab like always when it happened... her test tubes and other various scientific apparatus had begun to rattle at severe rates... at first she had thought that she had messed up an experiment somehow, or something in the chemistry department had exploded... again. But no, not this time. Eventually the whole laboratory began to rattle and shake, walls began to collapse, Ariana had fallen on her behind and started screaming... the last thing she remembered was looking upwards just in time to see the roof crumble and collapse just above her but then? Nothing.

So... there had been an earthquake? One of THAT large a scale? It didn't seem likely... no earthquake had happened in Japan since well... a long time, or so she had thought... and if that really had happened? Where was she? More importantly... how had she gotten there? Surely there had to be some logical explanation... but before she could think too deeply on it, she heard a young mans voice behind her... evident with concern, she quickly turned to face the speaker and was immediately left with a shocked expression... as she looked into an eye, blood red as crimson.

"Pardon me M'lady... but are you alright?"

~Joshua Edard Rowan~

Image
Joshua decided to take the high road with Mikasa and not respond to her comment... of course he knew that there may be others, however he felt that they should get a better grasp of the situation before playing hero. Still he let her have the moment as she brought over another person in their situation, going by the name of Naomi Kosatsu, he re-introduced himself to her and responded to her queries about the Earthquake.

"Aye, I think that may well be the case... I only remember bits and pieces but considering the state of this building and the fact that Ser Yuu recalls a similar event... I would hasten to guess, albeit reluctantly, that an Earthquake did in fact take place." Joshua's expression was dark and grave as he explained the situation however before further input could be made, he heard two new voices break the conversation.

"We are quite sorry to interrupt your conversation but we seem to be lost inside this building and we were in hopes one of you may be able to direct us towards the exit."

"I'm not sorry."

"Riye."

"What? I haven't done anything to feel sorry for. They are weird looking," The girl yawned. "their colors are all wrong."

Joshua physically grimaced at the girl who approached them... the fellow who accompanied her seemed to hold some formality and class at least but his female accomplice would probably have caused Joshua to facepalm, should he have had any idea what a facepalm was. He was also rather annoyed by what she had said. "Their colors are all wrong." He realised she probably wasn't reffering to his eye... but he still took slight offense from the comment and decided to interject after noticing her staring at him in particular.

"And who are you to call our colors wrong wench!? I'll admit what you are reffering to eludes me... still, if you insist on picking on colors when talking to complete strangers I'd suggest you hold your tongue lest someone poke fun at that obviously thick skull and stupendously foolish brain hidden under a sea of vomit-inducing orange..." He smirked lightly and turned to her male companion. "I assume you heard my second introduction then ser? I assure you your interruption is no trouble... however we to are prisoners of this place and as such, seek its exit with equal zest and confusion... now you see we believe there has been an..."

*Whimper*

Barely picking up the light crying of what sounded like another person, Joshua turned away from the newcomers and towards what appeared to be a creaking old dresser. "Did you all hear that?" Joshua asked the group before slowly approaching the area to see what had made the noise. As he approached the dresser he heard the whimpering die down and a loud shuffling as who or whatever was behind the furnishing righted itself. Finally he reached behind the dresser and poked his head into the space behind which seemed cramped and uncomfortable in near every way, his eyes widened slightly as he saw girl, one or two years younger than himself, straightening herself from her previous position and wiping tears from her eyes. Shocked by this sight and noting that the girl obviously hadn't noticed him, Joshua spoke up.

"Pardon me M'lady... but are you alright?"

Quickly turning to face him, the shocked girl stared in awe at his eye for a few moments, causing Joshua to frown slightly. But realised her mistake quickly and began to speak. "Tch, d... do I LOOK Ok?! What kind of a question is that?! How did I even... bah! No matter! Help me out of here first and then you better tell me who you are and just what is going on here?!"

Frowning at her rude behavior but having some understanding considering her situation, Joshua helped the girl up, who introduced herself as Ariana and quickly introduced himself and the other members of the group whose names he knew, after doing so he escorted her over to the others and allowed her to introduce herself.

"G..Good day to you all, I am Ariana Ahikito Kaizuke, Mister Rowan here has briefed me on the situation and told me your names... so a renewal of introductions are unnecessary..." Ariana tilted her head slightly confused however as she turned to the red haired girl and formal boy who had arrived just moments before she had.

"He didn't, however, mention your names... just who are you two anyway?"

OOC: This is Riye's sarcastic face.
While neither sibling was surprised by the tone of voice that the man with the red eye took with Riye's comment, they couldn't really say they were particularly happy with it either. "And who are you to call our colors wrong wench!? I'll admit what you are referring to eludes me... still, if you insist on picking on colors when talking to complete strangers I'd suggest you hold your tongue lest someone poke fun at that obviously thick skull and stupendously foolish brain hidden under a sea of vomit-inducing orange...", Riye stared at the red-eyed boy. Apparently he was reading way too deeply into her comment about their colors being 'wrong' and he also really, really didn't like her hair color. Well, he certainly has the right to voice his opinion and he also has the guts to do so. Bravo., she mentally applauded him despite the fact she was just terribly insulted. Aside from that...wench? What era does he hail from? He continued, "I assume you heard my second introduction then ser? I assure you your interruption is no trouble... however we to are prisoners of this place and as such, seek its exit with equal zest and confusion... now you see we believe there has been an..." He stopped mid-sentence after being interrupted by the sound of whimpering.

Normally, the two siblings may have been a little more keen on assisting the whimpering soul, however both were currently trapped mulling over their own thoughts. Riye was still deliberating the fact that he talked like some man from the medieval time period while Kei was attempting to keep calm. Riye really didn't find Josh's comment as insulting as she found it humorous. Her elder brother on the other hand was quite angry. After all, how dare some insolent, red-eyed freak insult his little sister simply because he misunderstood her bluntness as her purposely being rude. His little sister simply was not fortunate enough to have been born with the same level of tact as himself.

While his smile never left his face both it and his eyes reflected a sort of chill that could send shivers down anyone's spine. Fortunately, his dear little sister was both dense, and distracted for he would never want her to see this look on his face. This 'Joshua' fellow had made a heavy mistake by making Kei angry. It wasn't something he would have to worry about now, but rather it was something he would have to worry about into the future...indefinitely. After all, Kei never forgot an offense himself or his sibling.

Image
OOC: This is not Kei's Happy face.
Riye, having zoned out temporarily, was finally coming back to reality as Joshua introduced everyone to a female newcomer. Both sibling made note of everyone's names. When the young lady introduced herself, Kei's warm smile returned to his face and he bowed his head politely. The girl, now known as Ariana looked at the twins, a somewhat confused appearance on her face, "He didn't, however, mention your names... just who are you two anyway?"

Kei spoke first, "It is an honor to make your acquaintance, Ms. Kaizuke. I do wish are meeting could have been under different circumstances, though."

"If it had been different circumstances we probably would never have had that honor." Riye interjected before continuing with her largest yawn yet, "Sorry 'bout that." A small smirk came to her face as she just thought of a great introduction for both her and her brother. Stepping around the elder twin, much to his obvious dismay she motioned to him, "This is my twin brother Kei Wakahisa. But you can call him your Royal Highness because he obviously has an air of princeliness." Kei palmed his forehead. Now was hardly the time for one of Riye's sarcastic or cheesy jokes.

"Riye." His voice had a tone of embarrassment embellishing it.

The red-head cocked her head before continuing her version of their introductions, "I am Riye Wakahisa, but you can call me the 'wench-with-the-obviously-thick-skull-and-stupendously-foolish-brain-hidden-under-a-sea-of-vomit-inducing-orange', or just wench if you don't want to say...all of that." The rather long nickname that she stole from Joshua came out very quickly and sounding a lot like one word. She snickered as Kei smiled apologetically at the group before them. Shaking his head and rubbing his temples he quickly fixed their so-called introduction.

"Please just call us Kei and Riye and don't mind my sister's choice of...titles." Riye looked back at her brother from over her shoulder, gazed up at him from beneath her lashes and stuck her tongue out. She always loved a good cheesy joke, even if no one else did or the situation didn't really call for it.

Aria Deomon | Yuu Kokonose

"Y...your hair... it... it is the color of the flowers that bloom by the roadside..."

'Roadside....?' Aria thought to herself, the first thing coming to her mind, 'What's.... a roadside?' She wondered since she really only had paths to follow rather than actual roads. In fact, hardly paths. There was always grass, flowers, bushes, trees, all sorts of wild things blocking the way, so there was really not even a path. Then, realizing that it may have been a compliment, maybe not, she just said to be polite, "A-ah, thank you sir!"

"A... ahem yes M'lady, I believe I am in the same situation as you... should that be a good or a bad thing I have yet to see."

"I see...." Aria seemed to have said disappointedly, hoping that someone knew a way back to her home, even though the whole entire room was filled with strangers, "Well," Aria began, trying to stay optimistic, "I'm sure it won't be bad!"

Image

Yuu found the way the stranger, also known as Joshua, spoke, but ignored it, not really caring since he was such a lazy young man to even care, "Aye, this young man is correct, if those weapons are drawn then how can relations be continued in peace? It is most appropriate that you would sheathe them post haste."

"Outdated or not.... this weapons are enough to slice through anything. And that includes your pretty face if you do not back off".

"Thank you." He said to Joshua with a tiring sounding sigh, seeming to be glaring at the armed girl known was Mikasa, "At least someone agrees with me on that. And I think I'll hold off on having... whatever that is," He referred to her weapons since he had no clue what to call them, "Cutting me to pieces." Unlike most people who could be in that position, he didn't seem to be very frightened at all. Or, as mentioned before, maybe he was just too lazy to be afraid.

"Why Sire Edard, you surprise me. Seeing how you hurried to save miss Aria. I would have thought you would want to see if there are any other people trapped before we exit the building, but I see I was mistaken"

Aria, hoping not to cause any trouble, quickly said, "W-well that's probably just because I was the first person to call out... and everyone being in the same situation apparently, i-it'd only be expected to run for the first calling voice, right?" She gave a small smile, though based on her stuttering she was still a little scared about the weapons Mikasa had, even though she was certain that she wouldn't, hopefully, take out her weapon.

Of course, after the two introduced themselves, Yuu and Aria did their regular polite thing of saying 'Nice to meet you' or something around that sort.

"As for you... head out and show yourself."

"Who?" The emerald eyed young man and pink-haired girl asked in unison before seeing a girl with amethyst colored eyes appear.

"Ummm... Hello? My name is Naomi Kosatsu. I didn't mean to interrupt and to eavesdrop on everyone, but... I don't know what's happening either. All I remember is heading to school, and then waking up in here... Is it true? Was there really an earthquake?"

Again, Aria and Yuu say their hellos and introduced themselves to be polite and then they began to respond. Yuu, of course, went first since the girl with odd colored eyes turned to him first, "So.... you were also going to school?" The uniform she wore was similar to his, well... similar enough that is. It looked older than the girls' uniforms at his current school, but that didn't matter. Seeing a sort of familiar face made him relieved, "H-Hey... you go to (Enter random highschool name because I don't know one!) also, don't you?"

Just as Yuu was about to explain, Joshua seemed to have covered for him, which he didn't mind, since he didn't exactly feel like explaining anyways. Then, two other people entered the room, and although they weren't exactly the same, both Aria and Yuu suspected they were related, in some way at least.

"We are quite sorry to interrupt your conversation but we seem to be lost inside this building and we were in hopes one of you may be able to direct us towards the exit."

"I'm not sorry."

"Riye."

Yuu and Aria only stared at the two, one with confusion, and the other with his usual blank and dull eyes, "No need for the little lady to be so rude...." He said, staring at the girl with the brown hair.

Aria, trying to smile a second time though she grew even more frightened at the amount of people, "U-Um.... no one knows the exit at the moment... We're all stuck in the same situation I'm afraid..."

"And who are you to call our colors wrong wench!? I'll admit what you are reffering to eludes me... still, if you insist on picking on colors when talking to complete strangers I'd suggest you hold your tongue lest someone poke fun at that obviously thick skull and stupendously foolish brain hidden under a sea of vomit-inducing orange... I assume you heard my second introduction then ser? I assure you your interruption is no trouble... however we to are prisoners of this place and as such, seek its exit with equal zest and confusion... now you see we believe there has been an..."

Aria shifted a little. What was worse than a bunch of people was a bunch of people arguing and what such, but since she was not a fan of crowds, she decided not to say anything, 'If things happen... then things happen....' She thought to herself, more quietly than she actually thought she would. Instead, she glanced down at her pocket and whispered very quietly to the fairy, who was also peeking out at the group, "Mavin... there are so many now..."

*Whimper*

"Did you all hear that?"

"Hear... what..." Yuu asked, since he was spacing out during the whole time the two people came in and what such. He leaned off the wall to follow Joshua before seeing another girl with abnormal purple eyes, but regular brown eyes. While Joshua tried to confront her, Aria stood in the back of the group, and Yuu, like always, spaced out, almost seeming to have been sleeping.

"G..Good day to you all, I am Ariana Ahikito Kaizuke, Mister Rowan here has briefed me on the situation and told me your names... so a renewal of introductions are unnecessary..."

For the third time, Aria said her hellos, very quietly, probably most likely underneath her own breath, but only Aria this time. Yuu actually was sleeping, leaning on the wall, and probably almost falling off, but he didn't notice. Because he was sleeping obviously.

"Please just call us Kei and Riye and don't mind my sister's choice of...titles."

Aria said the same, and Yuu, hardly sleeping, but hardly sleeping now that the commotion had been waking himself up, "So..." Aria began, raising her hand like she was in a classroom. Mostly since her mother told her it was polite, "S-shouldn't we begin to look for the exit?"

Lei Allen Eton

Image

Lei woke up in a strange place. Empty room. Yeah. Things you'd see in a prison. Well... at least ones you'd see in the movies since Lei wasn't a criminal. He was too much of a cheerful and nice guy to do anything bad. Even asking for something would make him feel guilty. Though, now he was quite in a little trouble, and he had to do something, "Whoa.... where is this? Did I do something wrong?" He asked, thinking he actually was in a jail, though if he was, he didn't seem too let down.

But the door was hanging open, so he went outside of the dull room he was staying in, and wandered around. Unlike most of the people there, he had no memories at all of what happened last, or at least, no memories of the incident. All he remembered was selling a white bouquet of flowers to a costumer and then all of a sudden blacking out before finally arriving in a suspicious old building.

"Neh, Neh..." He called out, being unable to see anything, especially since he walked past a whole group. He needed glasses anyways, "Anyone here? Jailer?" Lei asked, still believing he was in a jail.

"S-shouldn't we begin to look for the exit?" Aria mentioned. She was right of course... but where to begin? Had they even come across a single exit since entering. Ariana found herself thinking such things... though in reality ahe had practically just woken up, so she hadn't had a major chance to actively seek an exit. "Hai, that sounds like as good a plan as any... plus I'd really rather not spend any more time in this dusty old place... feels fit to collapse at any moment..." Ariana mumbled. Josh smirked at the girls tone, she spoke almost like she was of noble blood... but not. Like she was meant to be all high and mighty, but that really just didn't suit her style. "I share that sentiment... I swear that in the room I woke up in... there was a window behind the couch... if there really is no other exit available to us we could, though it seems rather blunt, jump out of it. I mean if all else fails then whom requires a door?" Ariana grimaced for a quick moment at Joshua's suggestion. She didn't like the idea of pulling herself through a window... however she had to admit he had a point. If they couldn't find any other means of escape then was there really a need for a door specifically. Deciding his plan was at the very least an option, Ariana nodded silently.

After agreeing silently however... she grimaced. Something was wrong about Joshua... she could feel it in her mind. No knowledge of senses to back it up. She just knew... like a sixth sense, it was her clairvoyance she knew, telling her an abundance of information about Joshua without him even knowing. He was different... he had a demonic presence to him... however not entirely, for the half of him that exuded darkness another half released light. He had a pure and good power and energy stored beneath an undefined corruption... his spirit was as contrasted as his eyes, a golden light and blood red darkness. He was both at the same time and... more importantly... he was no human. But neither was he a demon... or an angel... it was strange. He had the power of good and evil stored within him... yet he was too powerful to be a human... far too powerful. Her head hurt then... it was if she was so close to discovering his true nature... his race... yet... something was keeping her from it... like having a word on the tip of your tongue Ariana struggled to comprehend his being... she was so close he... he was a... "*Ahem* Lady Ariana?" Ariana jumped slightly as Joshua spoke to her and lost all focus she may have had. She realised then she had been staring at him deeply for a few moments. "H... huh?! E... ehm my apologies... I was just daydreaming..."

Image [center] Joshua raised an eyebrow at Ariana's sudden stuttering and defensive attitude. What a strange reaction... if she was simply daydreaming then why did she seem so embarrassed? Did she have a crush on him or something? Not likely, considering they had just met and that he had his... strange, eye. Then what... maybe she was just a generally shy person... though she had been staring at him so deeply. Hmm... no, he was probably just overthinking things. She was probably deep in thought and startled by his words, nothing more. "Ahh I see, of course."

Ariana was about to say something else when her eyes widened drastically, she had spotted a young man with green hair, walking past the entire group while calling out for a "jailer"... was he blind? Could he not see that there were people so close to him? Or, more importantly, that he wasn't in any form of prison whatsoever. As he noticed Ariana's wide eyes and followed her gaze, Joshua physically recoiled in shock at the sight of the man with green hair. "H... His hair! It resembles the humble grass that would grow in the long stretching fields that I have walked! What on Earth is the cause such foliage inspired hair coloring such as that with which I have witnessed this day?!" Ariana grimaced at Joshua's tone and approach. Honestly, was this guy stuck in the past or what?

Approaching the green haired and obviously lost man cautiously, Ariana prodded his shoulder gently and awkwardly began to speak. "I'm afraid that we are no jailers... merely prisoners like yourself. Sorry to interrupt you sir, but I am Ariana and I believe you may just be in the same situation as myself and these others with me... may I ask you your name?"

Riye Wakahisa

ImageRiye was...overwhelmed? Perhaps was the term. Every time she turned around their seemed to be someone new making introductions and quite honestly she was having a hard time keeping up. Not just because of the introductions but also because there seemed to be multiple different conversations taking place. Even further, she had started to question her own judgement and sight. Why? Because she could have sworn she was staring at the aura of a living person, dim though it may be, and yet there was no one there. Multiple times she closed her eyes and opened them again, somewhat dramatically, but alas the aura was still there. No, it was moving.

Either this place really has ghosts, or I've completely lost my mind. Neither would really surprise me. She interrupted her own thoughts when the aura suddenly took off in the direction of a room near the girl called Naomi. Riye blinked and stared tiredly after the faded aura. Once it was in the room it suddenly brightened and strengthened. I'm not that crazy...am I? No sooner did she think it did her sanity reaffirm itself. A blonde boy, rather cute, almost as attractive as her brother, despite being shirtless, scare the wits out of the girl known as Naomi. Riye yawned and ran her fingers through her hair. There was one more person in this mass of strangely colored people. Still though, what did all the different colors mean. She got the feeling no one here was normal. Their auras had a similar air as Kei and herself, and they most certainly were far from normal. However, there was more to it than that she just wasn't sure what it was.

She looked up at her brother. His usually pale hair was darkening in one spot, which told her his head was still bleeding. They really needed to get medical attention for him. Needless to say it was annoying her that despite having already mentioned once or twice finding an exit no one had made any attempt to actually go anywhere. Even if the exit was a window she wasn't so proud that she wouldn't climb out of one.

Riye crossed her arms and turned around, opting to look back down the hallway she had come down. That was when she saw perhaps one of the most powerful auras in the building, how anyone could miss it was beyond her because it was overwhelmingly not human. No one here had an aura like that. It seemed ancient and that was what made so different and so strong. The red-head wasn't sure if she was scared of it, or curious. It's kind of...cool. Curious it is.

Stealing a glance at her brother who seemed somewhat distracted by the conversations and probably by his throbbing head she slid by him and headed lazily down the hallways towards the singular aura. It was located in a room down the hallway behind the group with its door barely ajar. She swayed a little as she walked, almost as if she was falling asleep but a small smack to her face kept her awake as she wandered. Finally she was within four feet of the door and she went to take the final few steps of her journey to appease her curiosity. Unfortunately, the floor had other plans and her foot went straight through the floorboard and she went down with it face planting right in front of the door. "Damn it." It was muffled admittedly, but it was obviously a declaration of pain and annoyance.

Lifting her face off the ground she then proceeded to reach out with her right hand and knock on the door causing it to open just a little more. Afterwards she waved a bit, "Knock Knock."

Kei Wakahisa

ImageKei was more than slightly annoyed with this group. While he couldn't very well blame them for his situation, since they were in the same one as him, he could blame them for their complete and utter inefficiency in locating an exit. It seemed to be the one topic of conversation that everyone had a hard time actually talking about. Introductions could be made, repeatedly, after they were out of this structurally unsound building. The fact that his head hurt him terribly wasn't really helping his mood. Still though he tried to smile.

As more people continued to appear and cut the conversation of exiting the building short, Kei finally felt the last bit of patience he had disappear. Smiling he coughed just loud enough to get everyone's attention, "While this may strike all of you all as being somewhat rude, I can't help but feel the need to point out the fact that this building is by no means safe and it may be in all of our best interests to leave as soon as possible. Introductions and reunions can be had after we are no longer in harms way...can we agree on this?" Unconsciously he rubbed his throbbing head before motioning to Joshua and continuing, "You mentioned a window. While a door may be preferable I think it best that we wander this building as little as possible in order to avoid incident, in order to do this we should take path we are familiar with rather than search for a different one. Does anyone have any qualms with that?"

He wasn't really one that was fond of taking command, he felt it was somewhat rude and that was the last thing he wanted people to perceive him as. Especially after all the trouble he put into being polite. However, in a situation like this where it is imperative that a large group of people move along someone had to take control and no one else was rising to the occasion. While he wasn't demanding anyone listen to him or obey him, yet, he could at least try to point the group in the right direction. Especially if it meant that his sister would be safe.

Glancing down at his hand he noticed the red for the first time. Ah, I'm bleeding. So I received more than a minor bump on the head during that earthquake...crap. He sighed, for a moment he felt dizzy and tired. He would have to ask Riye for an energy boost when they were finally out of here. He closed his for a moment and lightly rubbed his temples. Getting out of here was only the first of their problems. Figuring out how they got in in the first place was another on a long list of riddles that needed solving and he would solve them eventually. First he needed an aspirin for the migraine that was coming on. Then he would focus on solving the puzzle.

He turned to his sister. Or rather he thought he turned to his sister but strangely the red-head was no longer where he had last seen her. He turned full circle, but alas his sister was gone. He pointed at the area where she was last seen standing and cocked his head in question. He then voiced his obvious curiosity just under his breath, "Where did she go?"

~Bernard Carrion Talon~

"Roughly two hours before Aria Deomon awakens... and thus, the others aswell..."

As the others he notices in that abandoned house lay asleep, trapped in the dreary states of their own minds... he rises from his position, a sick smile on his twisted lips as his sagging body drags itself upwards... he eappears so broken, arms and legs bent in random directions and blood red eyes near hanging out of their sockets... had this been the position he was left in after the earthquake? Perhaps, it didn't matter, he found it hilarious, so he smiled at his own pain and had to stop his own chaotic laughter from waking the others. He didn't want to be found out by them, he knew who they were of course... well not specifically, he knew they were other individuals drawn into the paradox as he was... this meant they had power and dealing with them all as he was then would serve no purpose but the destruction of him and with him the chaos he would bring to all of them... in time.

Yes time... It was ironic that he had thought it that way, especially considering the circumstances. No matter, soon such pointless things as time would be gone. The paradox would most certainly take care of that... yes... soon he would fill the empty void of a broken continuum... with nothing but the chaos it deserved. These were the twisted thoughts that ran through Bernard Carrion Talon's mind as his bones slowly cracked and snapped back into place and he smiled the smile of a man who's sanity was nothing more than a dream.

As he passed a small sofa he spotted two more... a boy with a dark energy... a piece of chaos, of demons, all of his own and a young girl with a lab coat who lay across his lap. As if asserting his dominance over the lesser demon and out of pure bloodlust and insanity, Bernard grabbed the girl by the neck and lifted her high above his head. Such a deep sleep was she in that the choking grip was perceived by her as nothing more than a dark and demented turn in her nightmare. He needed to kill after all... to make his chaos stronger and to simply sate his bloodlusting lunacy. It was such a... good feeling. Watching her squirm... scream in her mind though her voice wasn't heard... it was amazing... so renewing, so satisfying was it for him that every time she whimpered for breath he would squeeze her harder and harder. Soon however she began to cough lightly in her sleep... and somehow this stirred the young demonic man from his slumber as Bernard noticed him shift. He was insane yes... but he was no fool. Killing this girl now, as much as he wanted to, was not the right course of action for him at that moment. So with a heavy heart and unsatisfied lust for death, Bernard dumped the sleeping girl behind a nearby dresser and proceeded to leave through the window, hastily tossing the latch aside and climbing his still broken body through the small space.

Finally, falling with a thump onto the other side and taking a deep breath of the fresh air. Bernard turns his head to see a nearby city. Surely there he would find a suitable kill. So he limps in its direction and as he does so, he turns his head back to the abandoned ruin of a house and smiles. In a different story, one might expect this man to say a line... some form of threat or promise of return but no. Bernard simply smiled a child-like grin... for he knows they will meet again. After all... in every life, the end result is naught but chaotic.

~Joshua Edard Rowan~ &~Ariana Ahikito Kaizuke~

Noticing the obvious distress at the groups lack of definite escape route Joshua, deciding not to get the groups hopes up with an announcement of his efforts, Joshua slowly slips away while the others appear distracted and begins to make his way towards the window he noticed behind the sofa he awoke upon to, believing the other members of the group to be unaware of his sudden departure from the conversation at hand, Joshua is unaware of the eye Ariana had been keeping on him since her previous evaluation of his eye and race... which still continued to baffle her with its mixed signals. Regardless of this however, she immediately noticed him leave the confines of the groups company and followed him to see what exactly he was up to whilst trying to leave so silently.

As she herself left the group, not bothering with the stealth approach and bowing lightly to excuse herself. She found Joshua within the adjacent room examining the window.

"Pardon me Mr.Rowan, but what exactly are you doing?" She asked, though she already knew the answer... the question was more rhetorically based however. So she didn't feel it was completely redundant. "'Tis not obvious? I was about to open this window so as to make our escape viable." Ariana sighed at his tone... Joshua obviously wasn't very good at grasping rhetorical question. "Well yes of course it's obvious I just... oh look it doesn't really matter at this point... will it open." Tilting his head slightly but not questioning further, Joshua answered her question by graping its bottom and raising it quickly and thankfully, despite sticking a little, it lifted without a single hitch. The window was of a typical sort, square and fashioned from glass, when fully open it seemed just big enough for a single person to fit through it at a time. Josh was obviously pleased by this result... however the latch for the window had already been hastily removed when he went to open it... it was probably nothing but... it bothered him.

Ariana on the other hand had no such worried and jumped up in glee when she saw the window raise. "Hooray! Good job Joshua-k... *ahem* Well done Mister Rowan... allow me a moment to call the others." Grimacing fro her slip of the tongue she turned away from Joshua and called into the building after the others. "Everyone quickly, the window's open we can finally get out of here!" Job done and a smile on her face for a small victory Ariana quickly turned back to Josh, only to frown fully when she noticed he had already left... he had a smile on his face and took a deep breath of fresh air and Ariana smiled lightly to herself as his red eye glistened in the sunlight.

But then he turned left and suddenly... as if out of nowhere, Joshuas face turned to one of ice cold terror and in an instant he dropped to his knees. "M... Mister Rowan?" She called out to him through the open window. Joshua could easily hear her, but his eyes were fixated on the landscape before him... his will and belief seemingly ripped from his body over what he could see. Ariana, fearing what horrible sights Joshua was seeing and naturally assuming that the earthquake had been worse than she had thought, braced herself for the worst before hopping lightly out the window and rushing to Joshua's side, once there, she followed his gaze to see.

A bustling city. A little out of place maybe... but it was just a city, nothing more. It seemed a little less advanced then the cities Ariana was used to, but not by much that was for sure. Yet as she looked at Joshua he seemed so stunned... what was up with him to get him so spooked over something so normal.

Fro Joshua's perspective however... the World had just been flipped on his head, massive glistening buildings, miles of land... dominated by pitch black roads and towers stretching higher than even the tallest castles or cathedrals. It wasn't that he was scared persay... but he was so shocked... so surprised that his knees had just collapsed underneath him. The only words he could manage to speak were a mutter... a simple phrase of disbelief and awe.

"What sorcery... what sorcery is this... what form of illusion..." "What the Hell is going on here?"

ImageMikasa kept ignoring everybody and everything else, despite there were a lot of distinctive conversations and noises. Her eyes were locked on the new group addition, someone she knew very well since a young age, someone she thought was out of her life, once again all thanks to the war.

As Ian started walking towards Mikasa, "wait..." he started smiling to which Mikasa responded with a smile right back, "out of all the places, I didn't think I'd see you here". You're not the only one who thinks that Mikasa thought. As soon as he stretched his arm hugging her Mikasa was surprised, but smiling nonetheless, knowing that he was alive and doing well was enough to bring another smile to Mikasa's face.

"Mikasa!" he said in exclamation. "I thought I'd never see you again... Ian" she said admittedly. For a moment she remembered how they had been separated after Ian had gone with a special team focusing on stealth while Mikasa was sent to the front lines.

"I was training with a friend when I passed out" she paused for a minute, "and then I woke up here..." She knew she couldn't trust anyone else for the moment and sharing some knowledge with an old friend did not seem like a bad idea. "I don't know what's going on but, I honestly don't think this is a coincidence" another pause, only this time a little longer, "everyone seems a bit off too..." she finally said, hoping that Ian could make sense into whatever this strange situation was.

ImageRyu understood why Naomi had so many questions as she did, but after Kei pointed once again that the building was about to collapse, and after he put his shirt on, it didn't seemed like he would have enough time to even begin explaining himself. besides he was too tired to communicate with her through his mind again.
At the end, he simply smiled again trying to reassure the girl with so many questions, "look, I understand. You want to know how I know about your... talents and all, but I think the guy with the weird eye is right. he paused a bit eyeing at Kei "We need to get out ASAP."
Image
Naomi didn't say anything as she was still too shocked to even say anything, but somehow she felt a feeling of relief in knowing she was not the only one who was 'different'. Understanding the situation she simply gave a nod to the boy with the blonde hair, seeing closer how he was very handsome she stuttered for a bit, "I... I think you're right" she pointed out looking both at Kei and at Ryu.

"What will you have us do?" she asked at Kei seeing how he seemed to have a plan already. However before she heard his answer she eyed at Joshua who seemed to be on the move already, seeking for what seemed to be the window he had talked about before. She turned her eyes back to Kei who seemed to be a bit worried now, and she turned her eyes where his had, his hands. There was blood in it, 'what's wrong' she wondered a bit concerned for the boy.

She looked around to see if the girl with the orange hair had also noticed his injury, however she was nowhere to be found. Naomi was dumbfounded as she also noticed that Joshua and Ariana had also gone missing, the most obvious answer was that they had probably found an exit already.

"Are you all right?" she asked Kei, coming closer to him, leaving Ryu behind.

Riye Wakahisa

ImageRiye laid her chin on the floor as she awaited the response from the person behind the door. Deep down she was curious to discover what the creature was. With an aura so ancient she could come up with thousands of different appearances; her favorite one was most definitely the image of a a wrinkled old dwarf with a long grey beard and long wiry hair framing a bald patch on the top of his head. Dwarves are supposed to have unnaturally long lives, right? Admittedly, though she was extremely tired, she was getting a little excited at the thought of meeting a funny looking old dude. What she ended up receiving was most unexpected and on one hand a little disappointing but on the other not so bad.

"Who's there." The door opened revealing the first the feet of a rather young looking boy with silver hair and icy blue eyes. Riye blinked once, twice, three times as she stared at the face of neither a dwarf not and old man. While it was a little saddening that this was not a fantastical creature it was also a little intriguing that someone that seems to be the same age as herself could have such an aged aura. Plus, something about him seemed really experienced and daunting. Cocking her head Riye put some thought into what she was seeing. Between his physical appearance and his aura she wasn't entirely sure which one to trust. She watched him look around her head and speak again, "I guess you need some help there, huh?"

Riye raised an eyebrow and after a second and a withheld yawn turned her head and body around in order to see what it was he was referring to. As it would turn out her leg was still stuck in the floor, oddly enough she had forgotten about it. Whoops. Wiggling it a bit she found that yes, she did in fact need some help, "So it would seem."

Looking up at the boy she watched him extend his hand to her, as he did so Riye felt her sleeping mental faculties come to no reasonable conclusion as to why he did so. This resulted in her awkwardly ogling his hand. Fortunately, the boy wasted no time in explaining his purposes, "C'mon. I'll pull you up." Riye blinked again then looked at her right hand. That would make sense. A few seconds went by before she shook herself back to reality and returned his smile.

Giving him her hand she responded, "Thanks." As he helped lifted her out of the hole she adjusted her leg in order to make the process a little easier and reduce the chances of getting a cut. Afterwards she brushed herself off. "I wish I could say this kind of stuff doesn't usually happen to me, but I think I'll keep wishing." She shrugged slightly and turned her gaze back to his aura. One could only imagine just how badly she wanted to question him and simply put no one could very well stop her.

"How old are you?" There was no beating around the bush with Riye, if she had a question she asked it, who needs to waste time having pointless conversation? She smiled a little and scratched her cheek in a way that suggested it was a nervous tick, the red-head was fully aware of how out of order the question was considering she didn't even know the guy's name.

Kei Wakahisa

Image"look, I understand. You want to know how I know about your... talents and all, but I think the guy with the weird eye is right." For a slight moment Kei's normal smile wavered, what an insulting thing to say and this was coming from the guy who was shirtless only moments ago? "We need to get out ASAP." Looking away from the blonde boy, Kei exhaled and closed his eyes so that his kind smile could once again return to his face. It was certainly a good thing he had so many years of practicing this smile of his otherwise there was no way he would be able to keep his cold demeanor from being discovered.

Back to the important thing however, Riye had disappeared again and he needed to find her. What if she fell asleep somewhere in this forsaken building and it collapses on top of her. The horror of the idea made Kei's brows furrow and made him chew the inside of his lip. Damn. If only I hadn't looked away...no...if only she had common sense enough not to go wandering off. No matter how much he loved and adored his little sister even he can be find her odd demeanor a little annoying, but only when it threatened her safety. I would have seen her if she had gone forward, which means she probably wen-

"What will you have us do?" Kei eyed the girl who had just spoken, a little dumbfounded after having been in such deep thought. Quickly his mind scrambled to catch up with his eyes and ears and translated her words so that he could offer up a response. Thinking about her question he leered at the red-eyed boy as he slipped away. Where is that imbecile sneaking off to? He would have made a move to follow him, however, he didn't want to leave this spot for fear that his sister would return looking for him. It would be just like her to return right after he left. He furrowed his brows, still, if the red-eyed boy was headed in the direction of the window he spoke of earlier it would not be a bad idea to trail after him. Kei did not trust him to return to the group and actually guide the lot of them to an exit.

A sharp jolt shot from the back of his head down to his neck and Kei felt himself wince in pain and wobble slightly. He wasn't entirely sure if the wobbling was due to the injury or the lack of sleep. Perhaps it was his selfishness and need for Riye's touch speaking, but he really wished his younger sister was by his side right now. While it wasn't entirely fair nor healthy for either of them that he was constantly leeching off his sister's energy the boy did not have a choice in the matter. He couldn't survive without her energy.

"Are you all right?" Kei turned to look at the girl called Naomi, a small smile encompassed his face as he nodded a little.

"Thank you for your worry, but I am quite alright. I just received a slight bump to the head earlier during the earthquake. Nothing life threatening I assure you." From up ahead he heard Ariana yelling after the group, apparently they had located an exit, nodding in that general direction Kei spoke again, "You should quickly make your way out of the building. I'll follow as soon as I locate my sister, so please don't wait up for me."

Turning on his heels Kei headed down the hallway that he and his sister had originally come from and much to his gratification soon located the red head speaking to another man not too far away. A small glare adorned his face as he observed the boy, but no sooner did it appear was it replaced with his normal gentle features. "Riye. There you are, please don't wander off like that it worries me."

The red-head turned to look at her brother and pursed her lips, "You worry too much, you're going to be old way before me." The girl eyed his pained and faded aura and held out her hand to her brother. His smile left his face as he looked at it then at the third member of the small ensemble, "You're tired, right? Give m-"

"Not now, Riye. Come, they've found an exit we should quickly escape the confines of this rather rundown abode." The elder twin turned and motioned for his sibling to follow him back down the hallway towards the before mentioned window.

"It must be exhausting having to be polite all the time."

"Not really. No."

Shaking her head, the girl lazily started to follow her brother but halted after only a couple of steps. Turning back at the boy with the antique aura she arched an eyebrow before yawning out a sentence, "You coming or would you rather stay in the abandoned building?" Deep down inside, Kei felt his soul grimace. It would seem there would be one more addition to the massive throng of incompetent people.

"I was training with a friend when I passed out, and then I woke up here..." Mikasa explained. "I don't know what's going on but, I honestly don't think this is a coincidence. Everyone seems a bit off too."

"Oh..." Ian muttered. Ian looked around, and saw that these strangers DID seem a bit... off. "You're right about that...

"However... I was still in a mission... I remember shaking and rumbling from where I was camping out. It was somewhere in the arctic- and I looked up to see an avalanche coming down. Then a flash-bang blew up right under me... and that was what I remembered until I woke up here."
Ian explained.

"What sorcery... what sorcery is this... what form of illusion..." "What the Hell is going on here?" A voice sounded from a far off direction.

Ian couldn't help but turn his head to the source, which was one of the members of the group looking out an open window. Sighing, Ian walked to the window to see what was going on. A whole city was laid out in the view. It was daytime, and the light revealed all the tall skyscrapers and roads. Reaching to his sniper rifle, Ian detached the scope and put it to one of his eyes to get a closer look.

The roads were on the ground. Cars ran on gasoline and on 4 wheels. People wore more fabric and carried less technology than what Ian was used to- then again, this was coming from an ex-shut-in. However, the fact is, the state Ian saw the city in... was 2 things: peaceful (thankfully for him) and primitive. Ian had seen better days for technological advancements. Cars, cell phones (touch-screen or not), and even more green than what the soldier was used to seeing in a city. They were all clues that the human race's advancements... just went backwards. "Indeed..." Ian muttered. "Everything looks so... old and ancient."

Asher Lucian Evans

"So it would seem." The red-haired girl responded. Judging by her appearance, Asher speculated she is just an ordinary fellow, so hopefully this isn't some kind of kidnapping for powers. She seemed a bit sarcastic from her response to Asher's... well, a bit obvious comment on her dilemma. Then again, the sarcasm might be because he deserved it. Other than that though, she might be a cheery person. Looks can deceive, however.

Asher pulled the girl up after she just stared at his hand and waited until Asher said his intentions. Hm... Slower thought processing and realization... She's most likely sleepy. Asher thought. "Thanks." She said, dusting herself off. "I wish I could say this kind of stuff doesn't usually happen to me, but I think I'll keep wishing."

Asher shrugged in response. Of course, here comes to worst case scenario. "How old are you?"

Asher opened his mouth to respond, but lucky favored him for once. Out of the corner of his eye, Asher saw a male coming, one that looked almost like the girl in front of him. "Riye. There you are, please don't wander off like that it worries me." The boy said. Ah... so her name is Riye. Nice name. Asher thought.

"You worry too much, you're going to be old way before me." Ryie responded. Eyeing the boy, Asher did see hints of fatigue- and possible hostility towards him. "You're tired, right? Give m-"

"Not now, Riye. Come, they've found an exit we should quickly escape the confines of this rather rundown abode." Oh? What was she going to do...?

"It must be exhausting having to be polite all the time."

"Not really. No." Obviously, they speak to each other as if they knew one another- which is the likeliest. The boy turned and motioned for Ryie to follow him. Of course, she did, but she turned to Asher once more. "You coming or would you rather stay in the abandoned building?" Ryie asked. Definitely, definitely sarcastic. Asher thought.

"Yeah. I'm coming." Asher responded as he began to move his feet. "And to answer your question, I'm eighteen." The lie was said in a seemingly truthful tone. The Immortalis had no regrets in lying about his age, really. After all, he had said it so many times... It was all too easy for him now to say a false age. Hm... this might be an interesting experience...

~Joshua Edard Rowan~

Joshua didn't respond to any comments that may have been directed at him as Ariana specifically tried to get his attention. His mind was flailing in all directions. Spiraling out of control. He had to tame its now tormented state at the sight of such a monstrous city... lest he fall into a state of insanity. But he couldn't... it was impossible... all of this had to be impossible. Such large buildings... forged from glass and metal? It would take a thousand... no a million talented blacksmiths to complete such masterworks yet as far as he remembered the county he was travelling had but three. What was happening. As he lay on his knees, pressed harshly against the grass beneath him he felt his own fingers grasping tightly at his hair and digging into his skull. He was losing his cool, his belief and self confidence crumbling at the unbelievable. He felt like screaming, he needed to relieve some stress so he opened his mouth to release his mind into madness but... he stopped short. As he finally began to give in to his crumbling psyche, his red eye began to burn like molten magma and he felt his hands move to cover it.

"W... what?!" He murmured. It was as if his eye was trying to remind him of something... something he needed to do... but he couldn't quite tell what. He just knew that it was important, as he realised this his mind began to clear and he forced himself to remain calm, in doing this his eye cooled down and he felt like his calm and collected self once again. Slowly he stood up straight and looked upon the advanced city before him. "What a marvel... He spoke, slight awe and an impressed tone slowly taking over his shock and confusion, aswell as the sheer insanity they brought him. "This... isn't possible for the place I'm from..." Joshua paused. "So there's only one possible solution here..." Joshuas speaking slowly derived to a murmur, so quiet that only he could hear it. He murmured some form of realisation and nodded to himself. He understood then, it was no longer a matter of where he was... such architecture as compared to that which he now saw was impossible for the medieval period to create. Not even the Asian emperors of the East could even dream of building such creations. No. No matter where he was, these buildings were not a possibility. But that was the point... it was no longer a matter of "where".

It was a matter of "when".

~Ariana Ahikito Kaizuke~
Image
Ariana was rightfully confused at that point. The previously incapacitated Joshua, whom seemed to be completely resistant to any and all attempts to grasp his attention now stood up clutching at his eye for murmuring some ramblings about a solution? A solution to what? Did he know something about why they were in that ruin of a building? Did he have some clue as to what was going on that he wasn't sharing with everyone else? She didn't know but regardless of the exact details, Mister Rowan was seeming more and more suspicious by the second. She decided it would be best to confront him, if he knew something surely she AND all the others deserved to be in on it too. They were all in the same situation correct? Confused and lost? Though by the way he talked it would seem Joshua had always known or perhaps just realised something that she and the others had not. So she approached him, opening her mouth as if to speak when she heard another voice do so before she had the chance.

"Indeed..." Ariana jumped at the sudden third voices arrival on the scene and turned her head to face the young man whom it belonged to. "Everything looks so... old and ancient." Ariana frowned at his words and spoke back to him. "Old and ancient?..." She paused. "You're Erian-san... correct?" She turned to face him. "Don't you think you're over-exagerating just a little bit? I mean yes I'll admit the city looks a couple of years older than what is the norm but I think "Old and ancient..." might be a bit of a stretch... don't you?" She frowned and droned off the sentence in a bored and tired manner... honestly this whole ordeal was tiring her out.

Just as she finished speaking however, the voice of Joshua broke the brief silence she left behind. His voice was filled with purpose. "That city, old, new or ancient is the only visible source of human activity..." He paused. "I suggest we await the others and head there post-haste... wouldn't you agree... "Miss" Kaizuke?" Ariana frowned at the young mans mocking imitation of her formal naming... but nodded at his idea all the same. "Hai... for now, I think that's our best option This decision was followed by an awkward silence between the two, with Ariana constantly shooting glares in Joshuas direction.

She would play nice... for now. But she didn't trust that man, there was something... off, about him. But the oppurtunity for a confrontation had passed. So for that moment and for that moment alone. She would wait.

Mikasa was listening Ian when she got distracted by a far off noise, she heard a female voice, "Everyone quickly, the window's open we can finally get out of here!". Without thinking twice, Mikasa headed out where Ariana's voice came from. Apparently, the window Joshua had claimed to see prior their meeting was indeed where he had said it was. The window was now opened and Mikasa did not want to wait any second longer to get away, however when she remembered everyone that was still inside she let out a sigh and returned where she had left the group.

Mikasa was not used to socialize with others, neither was she easy to make friends and she didn't know anyone besides Ian, that much was true. Even so, that did not mean she would allow herself to leave them to possibly die from the collapsing building. Most if, not everyone, seemed to be unharmed civilians in her eyes, though she knew they were more than probably normal humans and they were far from helpless seeing from the energy that the gave off. Even so, she went back in case they had not heard Ariana.

She first noticed the main group where Naomi, Yuu, and... 'wait a minute... there's a new one' she thought as she saw the new blonde addition. 'you better not give any trouble' she thought seriously giving him a look. At the end she simply told them in an order-like fashion, like she always did, "The others have found an exit, I suggest you better follow it." Before anyone could give her attitude or question her or all the above, she continued. "We do not know if there is another exit, however as you may have noticed the building is about to collapse. The window is already opened, go straight all the the way through the hallway, turn left and go straight again. The last room to the left". she finally said before finding out there were still others missing. 'great... she thought before she was on her way.

She continued walking until she finally heard distant chatter, "You coming or would you rather stay in the abandoned building?". Before she continued listening, or put any attention to their conversation they were having, she moved closer finally seeing the girl with the orange hair, her brother and... yes a new addition. "And to answer your question, I'm eighteen" the new male said.

Mikasa simply spoke again, making her presence noticeable again, "They found an exit" she said before turning to Kei, he seemed a bit weakened, almost as if he was hurt. Also, he seemed the most civilized for the moment being. "A window nearby, the one Rowan mentioned, we weren't able to find another exit yet and we are running out of time. I suggest you leave before that time comes." She finally said before taking her leave.

Without making further delay, she headed towards the window. She hastened her pace when suddenly someone bumped into her, the girl named Naomi. "Gomenasai~! the girl said a bit frightened and surprised.

Image

Naomi was still waiting for Kei to answer when he reassured her, "Thank you for your worry, but I am quite alright. I just received a slight bump to the head earlier during the earthquake. Nothing life threatening I assure you."
after Ariana said she had found the exit he spoke again, "You should quickly make your way out of the building. I'll follow as soon as I locate my sister, so please don't wait up for me."

He left as soon as he finished talking, not letting Naomi to answer to his suggestion. "Wait~!" she said but he was already out of her sight. Not too later after, someone else entered the room, it was none other than Mikasa. Naomi didn't know what to think of her, but she felt somewhat intimidated by her. As soon as she finished telling them again about the exit, she disappeared again.

Naomi didn't know whether to wait for the others to leave so she could leave with them, but at the end she decided to go help Kei to find his sister. After all, he was the person she trusted more, alongside with Yuu and Aria, besides she was worried about his injury. She walked through the hallways not being able to find anyone, she felt strange from the atmosphere and having a horrible
sense of direction did not help either.

ImageShe suddenly heard a loud noise, a piece of wood from the upper floor collapsed almost crushing Naomi, it was obvious it would not take long before the structure finally collapsed.

She let out a cry as the wood only stood a few inches away, and she started running where she oped would be the window. 'Maybe the others are already there' she thought as she started walking faster. It was then when she bumped into something, more like into someone. It was nonetheless than the girl who had warned her to leave, suddenly a little scared, not knowing what she would do as she learned that she had ignored her command/suggestion. "Gomenasai~! she said quickly.

"What are you doing here?" Mikasa said a bit annoyed. Naomi was about to explain herself when Mikasa spoke again "it doesn't matter, we need to get out of here" she said walking towards the exit. Naomi trembling a bit remembering her strange armor put herself in front of her with both hands in front stopping Mikasa, she bowed her head saying, "Please... wait..." Naomi hesitated a bit before speaking again, but at the end she finished almost yelling, "I think someone is hurt, I also don't know if everyone is out yet!"

Mikasa starred at her seriously, "look, we don't have time to waste here. I assume the person you say that is hurt is none other than Wakahisa, however we cannot do anything if he doesn't evacuate can we? I have already said what I had to say. That is all." she said before she moved her hands away and kept walking.

Kei Wakahisa

Image"Yeah. I'm coming. And to answer your question I'm eighteen." Kei immediately felt the jolt of realization that coursed through his brain whenever someone within earshot told a lie. He turned his head in order to glance back at the boy, his eyes narrowing in the process. It was strange to him, why of all things would he lie about something as inconsequential as his age. Unless, that is, his true age was unnatural for the human race. At which point one would have to question his true heritage. Of course, as it is now, Kei was simply speculating for the reason why the boy would lie. The best way to figure out the truth was to gather more information without letting the boy know that Kei was aware of the lie, otherwise he would put his guard up.

Looking forward once again Kei saw a newcomer, or rather he saw the woman called Mikasa again. He nodded in her direction as she spoke, "They found an exit." How aggravating, to be told that which he already knew. He himself came to find his sister for that very reason, but alas, Kei being as polite as he was would hold his tongue. Riye on the other hand was not as wise.

"No...really?" The sarcasm that was dripping from her mouth was noted by her elder brother who simply sighed in defeat. He really couldn't change that about her, nor did he wish to, after all he loved every aspect of his sister. Even her overbearing sarcasm, of course there was a time and place for it. Fortunately, Mikasa took the higher road and completely ignored Riye's comment.

The woman turned towards Kei and continued, "A window nearby, the one Rowan mentioned, we weren't able to find another exit yet and we are running out of time. I suggest you leave before that time comes." Again, it seemed to Kei that she was simply mirroring his own words back to him. He internally grumbled in unadulterated annoyance; this Mikasa woman was starting to rub him the wrong way with her comments. For what purpose did she think they were heading in that direction for? Did she not hear him earlier when he told the entire group it would be in everyone's best interest to leave, all the while she was have a reunion of sorts. Incredibly, however, his calm and gentle facade never disappeared.

"Thank you, Miss Clark. We are actually headed in that direction now." Bowing his head and placing his hand on the small of his sister's back he effectively excused himself and his sibling so that they could speed down the hall. Admittedly, as they 'raced' down the hall Kei felt himself grow dizzy from both his head injury and lack of sleep. He had expended too much energy earlier during that earthquake, and now he was nearing his limit.

Fortunately, it took a very short amount of time for the two siblings to locate the famous window. As proof that chivalry had not died quite yet, Kei pressured his twin to go through first, much to her chagrin. "You're the one with the head injury, you go." She declared stubbornly as she tried to shove him out the window.

"This is not a battle you will win, and we really don't have the time to argue about it." Riye stared flatly at her brother before grumbling and doing as she was told. Kei smiled, pleased that he had won this argument with Riye with a single sentence, before following her out.

Riye Wakahisa

ImageRiye was fully aware that Kei had detected a lie. However, she figured she'd question him about it later. After all she hardly had the chance to do it now as she was hustled in the direction of an exit by her brother, who was obviously not feeling well. No longer did his aura alone tell her that he was in need of an energy boost, now he was even beginning to sway a little as he walked. However, he wouldn't allow her to make skin contact with her sibling, so, grumbling in annoyance, Riye opted to wait until later just as her sibling had order her to do.

When the two sibling finally crawled out of the window, Riye being highly ungraceful, dived face first into the ground on the other side. "Whoops." She mumbled as she stood up once again and wiped herself off. Then turning to her brother she quickly grabbed his shoulders to keep him from making the same mistake she did. The red-head didn't want the injury on his head growing any worse. "Careful."

"Thank you." Kei smiled at his younger sibling as he planted his feet on the ground outside the collapsing building.

"Who says chivalry is dead?" The red-head playfully smirked at her brother before smacking him on the back. He stumbled forward in response causing Riye to withdraw her hand, "Eh, sorry." Responding to her apology, Kei grinned fondly at the young woman and patted her shoulder before motioning towards the group that had gathered a little ways a way. Trailing after her brother they approached the group which was apparently speaking about a city a short distance away.

"Everything looks so... old and ancient." Riye gave a once over of the city before mentally deciding that it was in fact not old and ancient. Maybe a little on the aged side, definitely not the newest city, but certainly not the oldest either. That guy is nuts if he thinks that city is 'ancient'. She was about to voice her thoughts however, another lady did so first, Ariana, "Old and ancient?..." She paused. "You're Erian-san... correct? Don't you think you're over-exaggerating just a little bit? I mean yes I'll admit the city looks a couple of years older than what is the norm but I think "Old and ancient..." might be a bit of a stretch... don't you?"

Riye nodded her approval, finally someone was making a little more sense. Again, she was about to voice her own thoughts but she was interrupted once more. She shot an annoyed look in the direction of the boy who had opened his mouth to speak, Joshua, the boy with the cool eye she recalled, "That city, old, new or ancient is the only visible source of human activity...I suggest we await the others and head there post-haste... wouldn't you agree... "Miss" Kaizuke?" Riye coughed slightly, yawned, and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. She could agree with him on that matter. However, she had no plans to wait for the other. Mainly due to the fact that her brother was still injured and could use some medical attention.

"As much as I would love to stick around and wait for everyone else to show up my brother is injured, so I'm going on ahead to the nearest hospital," She turned to her brother. This worked out for her in two ways, first of all her brother really did need some medical attention; secondly, she could provide him with the energy boost he needs without anyone around to see her do it. Grabbing his sleeve she started to drag her brother in the direction of the city.

He went rather willingly, however, he didn't fail to turn around and look back at the group, "Sorry about this, it was nice meeting you all. Until we meet again then?" He stumbled a little as he was dragged but alas he allowed himself to be pulled in the direction of the city.

OOC: Don't worry, they'll be back with the group pretty quickly (if they do in fact get separated) Riye can find them again, and I'll be giving them a reason to go back and find everyone pretty soon. But Kei needs medical attention, and a hospital is a great way to figure out the fact that they went back in time.
