Introduction
First they got the burglars arrested: They were a couple named Daniel and Theresa Patton. They lived among the neighbors as if they were a normal couple trying to get a child. But in reality they broke into other houses and stole valuables, broke into the local museum and stole a precious and rare coin made of gold and they stole cars. But then when they were found out, the community called the mounties and the couple was sentenced to 20 years each in prison.
Then they took care of a woman who kidnapped, killed and ate children and teens: She was Vanessa Auburton, a kindergarten teacher who often brought delicious cookies and pies to the neighborhood street gatherings, taught a cooking class at the community center and always seemed to be a person who could babysit children without worries. But one day, while she was out shopping, neighbors of her broke into the house and found a freezer full of human body parts in the basement, most of them from minors. When Vanessa got back, the community was waiting and locked her in her house then setting it on fire. They first called the fire department when the painful screams stopped. Before they lit the house though, Vanessa swore that she will take revenge and first kill their children and then them.
There was also a man who liked to set stuff on fire: He was Jean-Paul Gisteau, a man from Quebec. He always seemed to be a happy person who liked to talk. Otherwise nothing really seemed special about him. But one day when he lit a car on fire, he was caught, beaten and eventually picked up by an ambulance. Later in the hospital, he was diagnosed with mania and pyromania while his injuries were only minor fractures. Jean-Paul was sent to the asylum for an indefinite time.
But where it all seems to be so peaceful and wonderful today, it will seem to stop as new neighbors arrive, if the neighbors dont resemble the criminals in appearance, then they will at least have voices identical to those of the former troublemakers. The new neighbors seem to be friendly and be great contributors to the community, but the neighborhood doesnt trust them. Some optimistic neighbors say that its just a coincidence but others have no doubt that they could be the criminals who have thought to be dead or locked away. Are these people really the former criminals or is it just a coincidence?
