|In Depth|
He is on the low end of an average height and a runt compared to his older brothers. To make matters worse, he is a habitual sloucher. It matters little to him unless someone wants to throw their weight around. With a stocky frame, he is solidly built but does little with it. He swims and takes long walks as a mild form of exercise except he doesn't really see it that way. He just needs to get away and recharge. His dress is often casual, somewhat sloppy. Alec was more important things on his mind than appearing fashionable. Often times he wears two different pair of socks because he just doesn't pay attention. His hair is dark and usually kept short but as it gets longer, it because curly and unruly.

|Personality|
Alec is quiet and unassuming; the classic "strong but silent" type. He learned early on he couldn't compete with his brothers in noise and flash and adapted. He is often a peace keeper or mediator. Outwardly, he often appears cool and collected. Nothing seems to phase him. But inwardly, he feels everything deeply. He can often feel alone and takes every defeat personally. He doesn't always know how to express himself and uses his writing to do it for him. In fear that he will falter or disappoint, he often spends hours editing his own work. His desire for perfection can be seen in others areas like homework but is completely devoid in other areas like his workspace.

Things seemed idyllic until one summer. His older brother changed. He had entered high school that year and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. But his brother often felt invisible, being stuck in the middle of Alec and the superstar firstborn. He started to become moody, looking for ways to get attention. His circle of friends changed and he became secretive and irritable. He started slipping away from his family and Alec felt like he was losing a part of himself. He followed his brother one afternoon and discovered the reason for his change in behavior. He watched his brother shoot a needle into his arm, surrounded by his new friends. Alec was devastated and confronted his brother. They fought and argued and it all seemed useless. "Don't tell anyone!" his brother insisted. Alec assured him he wouldn't but pleaded with him to stop.
Several weeks past and nothing changed. Alec couldn't sleep at night and found himself anxious and desperate. He finally told his parents and his brother was shipped off to rehab. His brother felt betrayed and Alec carried that guilt. To this day, his brother won't speak to him. After rehab, his brother left home. Alec eventually went off to college. He never speaks of his brother but often becomes overcome with guilt. His outlet quickly became writing. He scribbles poems and obsesses over each word. It gives him purpose and helps him forget.
