Introduction

Background

Aeons ago, Netharzeem, The Twisted God, created a coalition force amongst all the dark Gods and Goddesses, vowing to corrupt everything ever created in whatever plane, universe or dimension they may exist in. The dark Gods' minions marched forward, conquering land after land, world after world, recreating them according to their maddened minds.
They formed new alliances as they crossed paths with other like-minded creatures, outsmarted those who posses greater powers than they, and forced the weak to become their slaves. Worlds were burning, the very existence between worlds were about to shatter due to the magical powers the gods, and their minions, were using. It would have been the End of All, hadn't it been for the most unlikely hero.

The God of Jests, a mere slave for another greater demonic god, asked innocently, "If my master is O'so great, why is he being used as a broom when he could be wielding the sword?" the demon god thought about the question, and was enraged by its truth. A coup started within the Dark Coalition, forcing the once strong alliance to be torn apart, and only to make matters worse, the thousands of God-slaves rebelled against their masters, allowing the last few Divine Beings to strike hard at the Dark Coalition.

Netharzeem fled through the worlds, hounded by his enemies, until he was cornered in the Silverite Plane. The Divine Beings knew that they couldn't destroy him, even if they banded together, so they sealed the plane off with wards and spells that Netharzeem would never be able to break. Yet none of them knew that Netharzeem, cunning as he was, betted his freedom upon a single world who had remained neutral during the wars, and left clues and promises of desire to the people that dwelled within it

Time has now passed. These events are long forgotten to most, yet there are those who still knows of the event, and who has vowed to keep Netharzeem imprisoned for all eternity, and those who has vowed to free him in return for the promise of whatever they may desire.

Plot

There isn't an absolute plot in this RP. The players will be working together to either prevent or ensure that Netharzeem is freed (but it doesn't have to end there!).
No one (save for me) knows how to open/close the portal, so once we have some characters I'll be sending out PMs to people who's characters will know how to get things rolling.

YOU!

[Setting:]
The setting is medieval fantasy on a continent as large as America, with a European style time setting. To the furthest north and south there is an Arctic-like environment, making it almost unpopulated. The center of the world is a Mediterranean-like climate, and the further north and south you go the colder it becomes. Simple as that.

[Character Creation:]
I give you complete freedom as for who and what you can be. Be it a demon, an angel, a human, troll, etc. (no gods, though!) As long as you can play it within reason. Though, if you choose other-world beings, you'll be needing a disguise as well (how many of you would freak out by seeing a ten winged human with red eyes and a blue flamed sword? I know I would.) So be realistic and have some logic as for how your character is going to be.

[Character & Skills:]
There are no absolute borders between good and evil, you decide which side your character will take (if any at all (but that's going to be boring in the end)). Also, while I don't mind that you single handedly kill 100'000 NPCs, I will mind if you start killing off players and god-moding beyond the agreed/permitted boundaries.
I am going to be picky if you look over-powered, and if you start to behave too much like a god in front of your peer players, you'll firstly be warned, secondly asked to reduce your character's powers within 24 hours (China Time) (and I will be checking!), thirdly: Don't post again! (AKA, you'll be permanently banned).

[magic:]
As mentioned in the rules, you are free to do as you please concerning magic; I will be checking your magic, and if I don't know it, be prepared to explain it thoroughly (not just, "Oh, I can control fire.". I'll need more much than that).
Magic (in general) drains your energy (by energy I mean, your physical energy) the older and more experienced your character is the more used he/she is to the drainage and thus can extend his/hers normal capacity. You have a few combat spells that doesn't require any verbal magical words or preparations, but as long as they're not too powerful (a fireball would be considered fine by me, but just remember you can'y throw them every second during a battle (again, unless you have a very experienced and old character)).

Divine Magic is something completely different. It depends on how close the person is to their God. Unlike wizards'magic, they don't get drained, but they can't do magic as often, though when they do it is some of the more powerful powers granted to them through soul-heard prayers.

-------

I'm not going ask you to follow this Character Sheet (CS) to the letter, but I will be needing something to base your character from. The neater and more well-written it is, the more likely I won't be askin for a writing sample from you.

Re: [OOC] The Return of Netharzeem

Get some rest you crazy Dane.

Re: [OOC] The Return of Netharzeem

Oh, Saxious that sucks but sometimes a break is needed. I would to get the chance to game with you again should the chance arise.

Re: [OOC] The Return of Netharzeem

I have to be honest, I'm loosing my dedication and motivation to RPing in general, and I think I'm going to temporarily retire from the site.
I'm sorry to be the one ending this RP, though unfortunately I can't muster more enthusiasm for continuing it (or even seeing it through).

Re: [OOC] The Return of Netharzeem

So....not my turn....Saxious? Irish?

Re: [OOC] The Return of Netharzeem

Oh good, gonna get to smite some fools.

Small edit needed to my last post.

Re: [OOC] The Return of Netharzeem

Well, actually I'm editing my post so Jozan (our so-called hero) can make his move against the tower, should get us going with the plot AND give us a chance to steal the list that he has. That way we won't have to constantly consult the compass Drax has.

Re: [OOC] The Return of Netharzeem

Oh my...apologies for the triple post. I will actually let Irish post for Alexander as I realize I posted just before Saxious. Let the wizard answer her question and see what he has to say to Drax. Vloria will go with that as well as make sure it is in her favour :)

Re: [OOC] The Return of Netharzeem

I am back and will post for Vloria as soon as I can. Have we lost our good side entirely or do we need a way to engage them more? I feel bad that we seemed to have lost them at some point. :(

Re: [OOC] The Return of Netharzeem

I need to give you all a head's up. I am away from Wed 15th (tomorrow night) until Monday 20th. I am the last to post so I have not left things hanging. I will be able to read while away but I am not entirely sure how much time I will have to post. I will post anything I owe on Tuesday.

Re: [OOC] The Return of Netharzeem

Fine with me. By the way, I need to drop this note while I can: My work has send me to a training course so weekdays will make busy, and weekends will be my only spare time. I'll respond on Friday or Saturday.

Re: [OOC] The Return of Netharzeem

Hey Sax, I'm thinking my next post (and I do believe I'm up next), sound be a time skip to morning, sound good to you?

Re: [OOC] The Return of Netharzeem

Trouble? Who said anything about trouble?

Re: [OOC] The Return of Netharzeem

That almost sounds like I'll be in trouble, if I'm not active, lol.

I'm around and waiting until I can do more then have Alexander preen.

Re: [OOC] The Return of Netharzeem

Sounds amazing and loud...and bright....:)

Irish better be active. I think he was waiting to post with Theodoric until we were sure the good side was still going. There is Theodoric, Jorzan,Aedan and Patrick...all good I believe.

Vloria, Drax, Alexander and Luna for the other side yes?

Whenever you get a chance Saxious. Not trying to rush, mroe touching base is all.

Re: [OOC] The Return of Netharzeem

Oh yea, the skies were almost on fire twice in 7 days. It was insane. No sleep during those days.

I don't know if Irish is still going to be active, so I'll go ahead and start writing something when my work is over.

Re: [OOC] The Return of Netharzeem

Hmm, reading through the posts we seem to have a couple of good guys left. Still enough to get a race to the portal going.

Saxious, I hope Chinese New Year was wonderful. I know here in Canada the celebrations were fantastic so I can only imagine what they were like there. :)

Re: [OOC] The Return of Netharzeem

Sorry for the double posting, but i need to drop a note that i won't be active until Friday because Chinese New Year is coming up and work is getting hectic.
