Description

Image

William has an average build, typical of an academic. He does not have too much muscle, but isn't overweight either. The placement of mass on his body gives him the appearance of being very thin. He's about six feet tall. His eyes are a mesmerizing ice blue, and his hair a pale blond. Will almost always wears the traditional apprentice uniform he is required to wear (imagine Link's outfit, only blue, sans the hat). On Sundays (his day off), William wears more casual clothing.

Age:18

Personality

William is an amalgam of personalities. He is a very intelligent person, capable of absorbing most information he comes across instantly. Some say that he has a photographic memory. He is also an avid reader. Even when he's supposed to be working, his master sometimes finds him in a secluded corner of the archives, his nose buried in an ancient, dusty book. Despite being a hard worker, Will is hopelessly clumsy. He is often dropping volumes or tripping on the edge of a carpet. Although his ineptitude usually earns him jests from his peers and master, he accepts all of them with a smile. William is a very kind, humorous person, and doesn't really take anything personally. He has a serious crush on Eve. Whenever she is mentioned, or Will sees her, his clumsiness increases tenfold.

Equipment

Will carries around spare paper, a pen, and a magnifying glass (for those especially hard to read manuscripts).

History

Will was born into a poor family on the filthy streets of the lower city. He was an only child, as his parents could barely afford to get bread on the table for the three of them as it was. One day, when he was six years old, his parents were sentenced to death for attempting to steal money from a noble. He was left on the streets, unable to care for himself. Fortunately, the royal archivist, Xavier Mason found the boy one day when he was looking around in the lower city for documents to buy. Mason took pity on young Will, and adopted him. Will took the man's surname and became his foster son. Unlike many foster families, the two of them got together very well. The Masons share a strange relationship, and constantly poke fun at each other. At the age of ten, Xavier took William up as his apprentice, at Will's request.

When he was thirteen, William was sent on an errand by his father. As he returned to the castle, Will caught a glimpse of Eve as she gazed out of her chamber window. He was immediately infatuated. However, he never voiced his feelings to anyone, because they could get him into a lot of trouble (of course Xavier found out). He still holds this crush.
