Description: Isa stands at approximately six foot high with a lithe, thin but very athletic build, long legs and a pale complexion. She has straight light brown hair down a little past her shoulders usually obscuring her face, leaving only her almost luminescent blue-green eyes to peer out at the world. She normally wears a dark grey Black Sabbath 'War Pigs' T-shirt with black jeans, a studded leather arm band and always her silver necklace with an eternity knot pendant. Izzy has well worn, originally white runners, a black leather jacket and paints her nails black but rarely if ever wears make up aside from a little mascara but doesn't need any, already quite beautiful. She is never without her back pack, has a Dutch-tinged Australian accent and always has a slight, devious little smirk on her lips. Can speak fluent Dutch as well as English.
Power: Unless dry wit and a mean right hook counts she's just a regular human.

Personality

Isa Mortiis is probably best, and most often, described as cruel and unusual, the former being a joke largely of her own design. Her sense of humour knows not the bounds of good taste and she lacks the self control to stop herself when it might be inappropriate, often jokingly insulting people and herself. Strangely, she is more likely to insult someone she likes than one that she dislikes as she is far more reserved with them. Izzy is quite extroverted and loves practical jokes or scaring people to simply see their reaction but would never wish any actually harm on another unless they had it coming. She is easily bored and for some reason finds silence far more distracting than noise but intelligent and fiercely loyal to her friends. Though not many know it she has low self esteem, hence why she has no trouble insulting herself for humour value, and mourns the loss of her brother deeply though normally fairly detached from immediate grief and reality in general. Izzy loves rain, thunder storms, music and drawing, the latter she partakes in often, and is insatiably curious.

History

Isa Mortiis was born in Victoria, Australia to Dutch immigrants after work and a better life with an older half brother, Kees, sharing a father but not the same mother. Despite this she and her brother were always very close, Kees keeping her from becoming too out of touch with reality and she keeping his life... interesting. In school they were both talented and envied for their intelligence but Izzy, as she was dubbed, took more of an interest in the more creative subjects, especially art and music though also English whereas Kees was far more pragmatically minded and preferred Science as well as history. Though outcast by many at school mainly for Isa's oddities the two were happy and, in addition to running, weightlifting and other forms of exercise, they began taking lessons in karate to quite literally combat the bullying they were often subjected to. In university as she began a course in art her half brother took history and found two peculiar recurrences in ancient myth; The Beings and their Sanctuary. He became obsessed with it, Izzy supported his research but he seemed convinced that they were real, something very strange for her brother considering his demeanor. She tried to explain that there was no proof that they were real, making them about as likely to be real as her 'crap turning purple and tasting like orange sherbet' but he was insistent. Finally he revealed why he knew they were real; He was one of them, able to manipulate objects with his mind alone. It seemed that while their father was human Kee's real mother was a Being, dying at his birth.

They began to search with even more fervor but one day they ran into a Being who was not to be messed with. The man could control control and create fire, using it to attack them but Kees pushed Izzy away, taking the full brunt of the scorching flames before she could protest. As he was preoccupied she beat the man to pulp but it was too late, Kees was dead. Isa found the chat site for Beings and found that they had set up a meeting place begin the search, taking a plane to there in order to finish what her brother started so he wouldn't have died for nothing.
Personal Reason: Izzy is interested to find these Beings and their lost sanctuary partially out of her own curiosity but also to finish the search her brother started, no longer doubting his work.
