Its year 3010, the Government controls absolutely everything and everyone. It has camera's everywhere, watching everything. They have watches over every website, taps on every phone. If someone talks about the wrong things, complains about the control. They disappear.
The world has been split into thirds, all of North America, Central America, South America and Greenland have been condenced by the Government into a solid mass of fear called Grasca.
All of Asia and Australia are mutated into monsters by technology and various adaptations, they call themselves the Wildorphs, or Eaters for slang.
Europe the Middle East have been pushed together with Africa, they're population declined to only a few million people from war and sickness and raids from Wildorphs. They band together into little groups of homeless beggars.
The world is far from how we've known it, and only a few people like it.
This school is the only safe place for children, the only unwatched, unsupervised place in the world. They are all hackers or technology wizards. Engineers or biochemists. Studying, teaching, waiting, hiding. Biding they're time and gathering forces until its time to strike.

(Just to give you an idea of the world)
The school is all metal with camera shields and passwords on every door.
The world outside is a wasteland of gears and switches. The trees are all plastic, the grass kept green by chemicals. The sky is a dirty red with fumes, the clouds no longer white but blackened with smoke.
