A young elf is caught in a spell, and sealed away. She waited, sometimes patient, sometimes not so much. But it gave her time to get some thinking done. But that was all the time granted her. Just when she thought there was nothing more for her to think over, she blacked out, and woke up lying in a forest.

Confused, she stood and looked around, trying to figure out where she was. When she came across civilization, though, it was to find that a lot had changed. She saw technology that had never existed in her time… and now she must get used to the new time. She wants to find a way back to her own time… though that looks to be impossible.

So now she has to find someone to help her out… that won’t think it’s too strange that she doesn’t know about electric lighting. And, of course, that won’t think her crazy for claiming that she came from so far from the past. And hopefully someone who will at least try to be patient with her… because let’s face it; she needs a lot of help.

But she soon makes another discovery; elves have all but disappeared. There are very few alive today, and she wonders if her brother is still alive. Granted, it is a long time in the future, and he will definitely be older… if he’s alive at all. But what really makes this harder is those few elves cannot reach their full potential, because they have come to ignore their responsibility to nature in favor of the humans technology. So not only does she have to learn about today’s technology… she has to try to show the elves to their full potential through nature. But are they willing to learn?

And the worst part? She was not sealed away on her own. It was another person, causing multiple problems, that was to be sealed away, and he was released when she was. So now not only does she have to try to learn everything new… and try to see whether or not her older brother is still alive… and teach these younger elves how to get a hold of these powers… but she has to be able to find and seal away this trouble-maker before he goes too far in taking his revenge.

Elves- The elves from the past, though they cannot seem to achieve the potential all elves once had, they do have some powers. These powers are either rather weak, and close to useless at times, or completely uncontrollable (as compared to the elves from the past), and cause many problems that they have to keep covering for, especially around humans. They do, however, have some of the physical qualities of the old elves: seeing in pitch black (though their eyes will glow a blood red when they do), superior balance and speed, not as strong as a normal human (though they can be close through years of training), and can instinctively tell the difference between elves, humans, and the other races. All were raised by humans, too. Elves are immortal, and do live for a very long time. They age very slowly, and just stop aging later on (though they, at the very least, have to look like they're young adults when they stop aging). The age they stop growing at depends on the elf's blood (meaning ancestry), personality, and living habits.

Humans- The most common race in this time. There are very few of any other races, mostly because of the humans… not that they remember anything about it. They are, for the most part, oblivious to other races. Only a select few are aware of magic of any kind, and fewer still are aware of other races. Have no magic at all, because of their reliance on technology.

Other Races- I don’t mind having a variety of races, but most of the characters should be human; there is a history, that all humans are unaware of, of humans killing off a good portion of people from other races. They are up to date in present technologies (unless they were the villain trapped with the elf) and, partially because of this, their magical abilities have weakened through generations. Aside from the older brother of the elf, there can be none who directly remember the humans destroying other races; hearing about it from earlier generations, yes, but not a part of any battle back then. All races were also raised by humans who sisn't know what they were. Not all races can be immortal.

((I would like someone to volunteer as the villain; note, I left the race open for you to decide, and the crime, as well. Though, please note again, that the crime must be HUGE; they were supposed to be imprisoned in the seal for a much longer time, but it was shortened only after they realized someone else was caught in it as well.))

1) No godmodding.

2) It is modern day, so anything you can have today, you can have in the rp.

3) I only want a few other elves, including the older brother, only a few of other races, and most other characters to be humans.

4) Romance is allowed, but keep it pg, people. You all know the site rules.

5) You can create multiple characters, but only if you can keep up with all your characters.

6) Your characters can die, but you need permission from both parties, if it is another character, and you tell me first (which can be done in pm…just let me know).

7) Let me know if you’re going to be unable to post for a while, or if you are just quitting, so we can come up with a reason for your character to be gone.

8) …Not really a rule… but I will send a pm to let you know that your character has been accepted; I will do this for each character you make.

9) And… I think that’s everything… but I’ll add stuff if I think of something, or a question gets asked more than once, so everyone understands. So check back here every now and then.
