Somewhere in San Francisco - somewhere I think is near the Hayes Valley neighborhood, but I could also be wrong - is a small, seemingly insignificant apartment building the color of daffodils. It's quite lovely, really, but it wouldn't be so unnoticeable if it weren't for the much taller, obnoxiously bright red one right next to it. But the apartments themselves is not what this is about - no - it's the people living in them. Eleven, to be precise, and between them are five apartments, one neurotic landlord, and a coffee shop with gourmet coffee that does not deserve to have 'gourmet' added to it, dry muffins and great ambiance (though them chocolate-filled croissants aren't half bad, but you also didn't hear that from me). Not to mention the building across the street, but we're getting there.

The yellow building is called the Daffodil Building, and in it are apartments 1A and 1B. Each apartment has three bedrooms, and one of everything else (Kitchen, bathroom {well, at least there's a second bathroom}, etc.). 1A is on the second floor, 1B on the third, and the first floor is entirely occupied by The Mighty Bean Cafe. It's where most of the tenants spend their mornings and it claims to be a million times better than Starbucks despite the fact that their coffee tastes slightly less worse, but bad all the same. Some of the tenants from the other building work there part-time, which brings us to...

The Red Building, and yes, that's what it's called. The landlord isn't really the most creative individual, after all. It used to have an antique shop on the bottom floor, but then the owner moved to Nebraska so the tenants converted it into some sort of communal living room instead complete with sofas, a bookshelf, a fridge that everyone is welcome to raiding and putting food in, and a few board games that a few proud tenants would be loathe to admit that they play. Put a few shots of tequila in them, though, and nobody's too proud to play some monopoly. You just won't have any photographic evidence of said game if you ask them. There are a three apartments in the Red Building; 2A, 2B, and 2C. 2C's only slightly smaller than the other two, but it also has two bedrooms, and one of everything else, much like the other apartments in the Red Building.

Then there's the building across the street. Considerably newer than the other two as, even though the landlord is reluctant to admit, times are changing and more and more modern apartments will be built, and slightly pricier, but an apartment all the same. Like the Daffodil building, a shop occupies the bottom floor - a boutique called Strut that sells some of the cutest bodysuits - but it also shares the space with everyone's favorite bar: HUB (Has the greatest margaritas on the planet, and one of the bartenders is a friend). Nobody ever goes to the apartments upstairs (for reasons, mind you), but you can always find at least one of them in the bar on Saturdays (and, occasionally, Fridays).

Between the three are eighteen people. They have been more or less living together for at least four years (A bit less for some), so they're all pretty close - except maybe for that guy on 2B, but we'll get to that later. Even though they've got bricks, concrete, and a road separating them, it's relatively not uncommon to see people going from one building to another, and some have even woken up to find guys from the other building passed out on their couch.

These are people with different backgrounds, different quirks, and likes, and ideas, and with personalities so different, it's a wonder just how they make it work. But they do, and it's anything but simple. Then again, adulting never was meant to be simple. Don't let those baby boomers fool you.

The Daffodil Building

Apartment 1A, home to the most sufficiently stocked refrigerator and the two of the best cooks on the entire block...and their close friend [Matthew], who moved in after realizing that he would be living with his old classmate, [Diana]. Usually the go-to place when someone's feeling down because it's warm, there's real food, and the couch is always open to anyone. Also known as the friendliest apartment in both buildings.

Image
Apartment 1A | YouTube personality and Instagram model in the San Francisco area. Finds herself trying to break into the modeling industry. Ex-fiance of [Face Claim: Charles Melton] | FC: Logan Browning | OPEN

Image
Gabriel Levin | The only boy in the Daffodil Building, meaning that he always is on his toes about all these girls. Works as a singing and piano teacher. | FC: Matthew Noszka | TAKEN

Image
Deanna Artaega-Mendez | Works part-time at The Mighty Bean and a local body art parlor. Recently graduated from college with seemingly no real plan, she's simply living for the now. | FC: Diana Sirokai | TAKEN

Apartment 1B, is not as welcoming, unlike the apartment downstairs, and so are its occupants. While there is a age jump between all of the women, they are very close to one another. They're fierce, and make quite a formidable group, so arguments against these people are pretty much hopeless. The apartment's strictly "No Men Allowed", although they do turn up at the guys' apartments quite often.

Image
Apartment 1B | Self-proclaimed 'feminist'. Works as an assistant for Magazine Editor in Chief. (Which she hates) | FC: Nyané Lebajoa | OPEN

Image
Twyla Varma | An up-and-coming actress trying to get into a role that takes place in the San Francisco area and wanted the 'real experience' | FC: Neelam Gill | TAKEN

Image
Josephine Baker |Trust fund baby who was recently cut off. Currently just trying to find their way. | FC: Katherine McNamara | TAKEN

Image
Ethel Park | Former child star trying to rebuild her acting career. Is a part-time model | FC: Lee Chae-Rin | TAKEN

The Red Building

Apartment 2A, is everybody's apartment. Everyone's likely to end up there at some point when the coffee shop's closed and it's where almost everything significant happens. No one really knows how this came to be, but it probably has something to do with the fact that they've got the comfiest couches anywhere, a gargantuan flat screen TV perfect for movie nights and video games galore, and a fridge that's always stocked with booze.
Image
Vincent Reyes | Very wealthy, though nobody actually knows why, and what exactly he does for a living. | FC: Charles Michael Davis | TAKEN

Image
Apartment 2A | The newest addition to the group, moving in within the last year for reasons untold. Born to a rather rich family but still works as a choreographer and owns his own up and coming dance studio. | FC: Val Chmerkovskiy | OPEN

Apartment 2b, hasn't been quite the same since [Asami Zdrenka]'s younger brother appeared on their doorstep two months ago when he was supposed to be in college far far away in England. No one knows why he's there, and most generally think he's weird. And maybe kinda creepy. But his sister adores him and he gets along surprisingly well with [Asami Zdrenka], who (mostly) everyone's secretly afraid of, and their rather famous roommate, [Ronald Epps].

Image
Naomi Watanbe | Mildly terrifying. The only female in the Red Building. Getting a Master's in Creative Writing. | FC: Asami Zdrenka | TAKEN

Image
Aramis Bernard | Quite the flirt. Currently an Olympic bound diver and works also as a male model. | FC: Ronald Epps | TAKEN

Image
Kenta Watanbe | [Asami Zdrenka]'s younger brother. Quite...eccentric, to say the least. Works in a music store not far from the buildings and also has a YouTube channel | FC: King Myung-Soo | TAKEN

Apartment 2C, also known as the cleanest apartment of them all, only because something as small as forgetting to use a coaster is enough to drive [Jason Ralph] insane. 2C's just slightly smaller than apartment 2A and 2B, but it's enough to fit about five other people inside so it's usually where people "escape" to when things get too crazy at 2A.

Image
Brian Brokenborough | Aspiring Writer. Best barista at The Mighty Bean, hands down. Has a bit of OCD. | FC: Jason Ralph | TAKEN

Image
Ashwin Kim | Owner of HUB. Ex-fiance of [Logan]. | FC: Charles Melton | TAKEN

The Apartment Across the Street

Apartment 4C, home to the 'love-birds'. they were best friends in high school but only started dating their senior year and are now engaged to one another. But, just next to the lovebirds are also what some call the gruesome twosome, and also known as the Apartments-That-No-One-Visits. Ever. Even though they live far, far away across the street, they are pretty close to the tenants in the Red and Daffodil building, and always join them for obligatory morning coffee at the Mighty Bean (P.S. Also, don't believe everything these kids say. Coffee snobs they might think they are, but the coffee is obviously pretty damn good if most of them hit The Mighty Bean up every single morning).

Image
Apartment 4C | Photojournalist on a five-month long break from work. Currently DJs at HUB. | FC: Dudley O'Shaughnessy | OPEN

Image
Apartment 4C | Assistant for famous movie producer and is a small-time indie film director | FC: Luanna Perez | Reserved (1)

Apartment 4D, The apartments that everyone is so tempted to visit, but often too scared. In the apartments are the Dreadful Duo, twins *Kristina* and *Andre*. The apartment is a shrine to all things lustful, or at least that's what's people are told from the first day they move into one of the three buildings- Its often said that its impossible to enter and leave without having been lured into one of their beds. Whether that's the truth or not, no one really knows.

Image
Sidney Odagiri | Dancer at HUB, rumored to be a stripper. Sister of [Andre] | FC: Sawai Anna | TAKEN

Image
Len Odagiri | Part-time bartender at HUB and brother of [Kristina] | FC: Kiyohara Sho | TAKEN

Image

Image
Gordon Black | 39 | Owner of The Mighty Bean | Mild-mannered husband of four, but will not hesitate to hit anyone over the head with a serving tray when annoyed. | FC: Benedict Cumberbatch | NPC

Image
Bernard Gilligan || 44 | Landlord of both buildings | Neurotic. Comes by every few weeks or so to bully the tenants into paying the rent. | FC: Dylan Moran | NPC

1. I really dislike changing FCs but, if you have a valid request other than the usual. Then there is a good chance that they will be changed. [But, listen to this please. {NO changing POC face claims to white ones. I've been on this site for three years and I've seen a lot of predominantly white roleplays. I'm not having it.}

2. Post on the OOC to reserve AND have the password. Do NOT private message reservations, please and thank you. After your reservation is made, you have two days to finish the character sheet or at least send a WIP my way. But, you must have something submitted to me within two days. If you're too busy to make a CS, then you're too busy to post; that's the rule I always abide by. And, you ARE allowed to compete for roles. As long as they're not labeled as taken.

3. If you can't post for a while, please let me know! It'd be greatly appreciated. Activity is needed to keep any RP alive. Please don't let this die.

4. Yes, I have face claims, I noticed. Some people really despise them and I get that. I do but do not flood the OOC saying how much you dislike them. It's immature and rather uncalled for.

5. As for post length, no one liners. You must post at least 400-600 words MINIMUM. Sorry, if that seems a lot but, then maybe you shouldn't join.

6. This roleplay is for mature people only. If you can't accept violence, swearing, drinking, possible drug use, sexual content, and such, then don't join.

7. I want to see interaction with EVERYONE. Just because your character doesn't get along doesn't mean you have an excuse to not talk to someone. Make drama!

8. With number 7 said, make drama IN character not OUT OF character. If you have a problem let me know.

8.5. The first part of the password is your favorite movie of 2018 so far, or a movie made in a previous year that you just so happened to see in 2015.

9. You MUST read these rules! The second part of the reservation is: Who is your favorite actor of 2018?

10. If you do not have the passwords, I will ignore your reservation and not reply to it.

11. I am the GM of this RP meaning that I make the rules. I'm not saying I'm God or anything but, if you have anything you need to talk to about {Concerns, suggestions, even complaints, etc.}, just let me know. I swear I'm not as strict as I sound, I swear I don't bite. ^_^

12. Have fun. This is all in good fun!

Everyone loves to talk about the more exciting days, the big days. The days when they're all attending some extravagant, drunken party on the beach, or the super posh wedding of a classmate no one actually cares about but you go because you were invited to a place where there is free food, and in this day and age, who turns down the prospect of free food? People are pressed about the holidays and the trips out of state, or simply out of the city that they live in. And while the Outside Lands Music Festival is something a particular group of San Francisco residents are looking forward to for tomorrow, today is just another Thursday. There are some getting ready for tomorrow's festivities, making plans to arrive when their faves are set to perform, deciding how to sneak in food so as not to be tempted to spend money. Others are just trying to make it through the rest of the day, the sun already beginning to set as make our way into the evening. As we make our way to winding down and forgetting about the very long day Thursdays always turn out to be...

To: Gabe <3
Im making pescao en escabeche for dinner tonite. dat ok?

To: Omi, Kenta, Josie, Twyla {Mi familia}
Dinner's gonna b a lot of food, y'all can drop by ;D

With those texts sent, Deanna smiled at the cashier and finished her transaction, sliding her four bags onto both of her arms before heading towards the sliding glass doors past a small family. The greatest benefit to working for and with family was that schedules can be negotiated, much like today. Her older two brothers, Anton and Osvaldo, owned a tattoo and piercing shop fifteen minutes away from her apartment, which was why Deanna hadn't turned down the opportunity to be their receptionist. It wasn't a career she saw herself doing forever; Deanna did have plans, regardless of what anyone thought considering she had yet to decide if she was going back for a master's degree. But it was a job that helped pay the bills and it let her spend time with her brothers more, especially considering she spent the four years she had been in college avoiding her family entirely. The why wasn't something she chose to focus on at the moment, however. It led down dark pathways and Deanna would rather think about the salt-and-peppered fish steaks she'd left to sit in the fridge in her absence.

After she'd been allowed to leave an hour early (Anton had been in the middle of helping an "intern," as he called the boy; Osvaldo had a date he apparently needed a few extra hours to prepare for, which Deanna had teased him mercilessly about on the way out the door), Deanna found herself craving the firm, white flesh of fish. She wasn't much of a fan of pickles on most days, but the pickling flavors were complimented by the garlic and the olive oil her mima utilized religiously. Once that had been settled in her mind, she had hurried home, at least gotten the fish and the flour semi-prepared for her return, and then headed back out without checking to see if either of her roommates had been home. It was August, practically the end of the summer, so she wasn't pressed to have them there. Besides, Deanna actually liked beating them home, being able to greet people with dinner after a long day and no day felt longer than Thursdays. Today, for her at least, felt better than usual, and maybe it was because tomorrow was the music festival. She had taken off and bought her tickets months in advance after missing last year's festival. The pain of having missed her wife Janelle Monae had been too much for the Cuban music lover, and she vowed never again to miss such an opportunity.

Grinning to herself at the memory, Deanna put all of her bags into the backseat of 2009 Volvo V50 her mother had let her have upon college graduation. She'd been the second of the Artaega-Mendez children to graduate college (Anton had opted out of that for now) and though it had once been the family car, Deanna was still elated every time she realized that she had a car and it was hers alone. Sliding into the driver's seat, Deanna cranked the volume to her Aaliyah playlist CD up as she drove out of the parking lot and on the way home, eager to get back into her apartment to finish cooking and open the bottle of Criterion Pinot Grigio Friuli Grave. Considering she had nothing to do tomorrow other than be young and carefree for once, she hadn't been able to help but splurge just a little bit. She'd bought a few of the basics already, anyway.

Being on the clock didn't always include having to be on campus, which was a relief for Brian. He had already spent four years on the campus; the last thing he needed was to have to spend every single day on it feeling as if he never left. Smarter people would have left for another university. Those same smarter people weren't going to start their graduate studies in education at the same university they happen to be a teacher's aide at, so the joke's on them. The thought made him smirk to himself even as the words on the screen made him want to roll his eyes.

With it being the beginning of August and the new semester beginning within the next week, Brian didn't have to worry much about classes just yet as students were still registering for classes and in the process of moving on campus (or into their off-campus housing accommodations if they were smart and looked for cheaper places to live). He did have to worry about lesson plans, working out the last details of his newer schedule, and applying for his own grants and scholarships. He had spent the better part of the summer doing so as he had no means - since he refused to contact his father for anything - to pay for graduate school out of pocket, while helping his professor plan according for the school year, and do some final grading. Though intellectually challenging at times, the University of San Francisco could be lenient at times if the student's situation called for it, occasionally granting extensions that went into the weeks after the campus had been cleared and most students - save for summer school students - were already gone. With all of that, it had been a busier summer for Brian than he had anticipated, and he would be enjoying the last bit of summer he had left if it weren't for his own educational needs.

"Not that the universe gives a fuck about those needs either," he muttered testily under his breath before letting out a long exhale, shaking fingers pausing over the keyboard. With all the preparations he had been making for the coming school year in terms of teaching, and then acquiring the books and scheduling for his own educational needs, Brian could not - for the life of him - stare at the scholarship application before him without thinking that it was all bullshit. Bullshit, he thought. Bullshit. Bullshit. Bullshit. Bullshit...and more bullshit. Because that was the only explanation he could give when he was being asked why he needed the money and all he could offer was that he fucking needed the money and who the fuck asked that kind of question? Do you think he'd be in the middle of a twenty page application if he didn't need it? He was a loser, but he wasn't the type of loser to spend copious amounts of time applying for things he wouldn't need.

Sighing again, Brian reached for his coffee only to realize that it was empty. Scowling, he closed his laptop for the moment - a moment of reprieve, thank God! - and rose, bringing the insulated travel mug with him. It was a Thursday evening, close to five pm, so the Mighty Bean wasn't flooded with do-gooders on their way to work. Instead, there were stragglers, some lingering in small groups to discuss homework or just catch up because they weren't ready to call it a day, others in various corners and at different tables like Brian - surrounded by computers and books and papers and trying to be productive about their caffeine addictions and busy schedules. After running his free hand through his tousled light brown hair, Brian then pulled out his cell phone as he waited in line to get his coffee refilled, flitting through the updates to his tumblr feed to text Vincent. At least one of them had to be having a decent day.

To: Vincent
Please tell me you're at least having a good day. Pretty sure I'm ruining my vision the longer I look at the computer screen.

Waiting can mean many things; first of all, Vincent had been sitting in the hotel bar for about 45 minutes. He had planned to be just a bit late himself, you know 'fashionably late', but his client was 'very late'. This is why he had depended on the second definition of waiting, a waiter’s occupation. The waiter in the bar was doing a lousy job, hardly even leaving the kitchen area. He hated to be rude to waiters, but this guy has it coming...

Bored and annoyed Vincent pulls out his cell phone to keep him occupied. Hating the red dots on his apps, he makes sure to check them first. As he reads Brian's text a slight smile graces his face.
Please tell me you're at least having a good day. Pretty sure I'm ruining my vision the longer I look at the computer screen.
Taking a sip of his coke or, as it has been empty for 10 minutes, his ice cube water reduction, he responded.
My day is awesome, maybe even so good it totally cancels your bad day out.
Taking another sip he quickly sends a second message.
Feel better now?

As he presses send for the second time he sees a man appearing at the entrance. He is wearing a suit, but looks barely presentable. His shirt is half hanging out of his pants, his belt is off colored and his tie hangs halfway down his chest. Vincent never liked the man, but he didn’t really need to. He was here do business, not make friends.
Vincent got up and straightened his jacket. On his face a nice big smile and sparkling eyes, showing of his charm. He stepped to the side to meet the man head on. Extending his hand he shook the man's hand firmly. ”Mr Winters, good to see you again.”
Feeling the man pulling his hand away, Vincent held on for 3 more shakes. In order to take control of the conversation, it starts with the greeting. Finally letting go, Vincent offers the man a seat and sits down at the same time. The man being late was inconvenient, but the following conversation was worth it. Mr Winters needed the bi-weekly order to be doubled in size. ”I want to be completely honest with you, you’re asking for more than my supplier can deliver." Vincent bites his lip as he tries to show the client his hesitation. He took a good look at the man in front of him. The sweat was dripping down the man’s neck, and his eyes moved to his phone every 2 minutes. He was in a hurry, and his day seemed to have been worse than either Vincent’s or Brian’s."I would maybe be able to find a second supplier, but I can't guarantee the same pricing for you. If I need to involve a second supplier the price per item will go up with 12%.”

The man tried to negotiate, but had shown his hand to quickly. The moment Vincent mentioned the possibility of fulfilling his order Mr Winters eyes had lit up, indicating he was under some pressure to get this done. Vincent asked him for 5 minutes while contacting the second supplier. He got up and walked to the bar, well out of earshot. While paying for his drink he called the first supplier and tells him the details. ”So, I can get him on 10% higher as long as you make sure there are 2 separate deliveries. You can take the 7%, but I will take the 3. Deal?”

A minute later he left the hotel with a genuine smile on his face. Making the calculation in his head he didn’t do badly for a day’s work. His Uber driver just arrived, and after a 20 minute ride he arrived at the Mighty Bean, hoping he would still find Brian there. Stepping in he quickly spots the writer, again deep in thought behind his laptop. Vincent walks up to the counter and quickly orders his espresso to go. Having to wait in any case he walks over to Brian, extends his hand and slowly but surely closes the laptop, giving Brian just enough time to remove his hands. "Ri? We all have to call the end of the working day at some time or another. And I am willing to bet, that you have not written a sensible word ever since you texted me. Why don't you come on up, and I'll fix us a whiskey to celebrate almost-Friday."

Finally. Ashwin had thought to himself as he was in his office, which was in the very back of the building and in front of the computer, putting in the morning and afternoon sales. He had supposed to have been off but stayed back a moment to help out his crew of workers. Things have finally died down now and he was so ready to go, not that he was tired or anything but today seemed quite special ever since he had woke up this morning. Ashwin had hit the enter key on the computer in the office and stood up to grab his notebook along with his sweater vest, which he took off earlier, but now he had placed it back onto himself. He had sighed softly to himself, eyes stared at a picture of himself and his now ex-fiancee that was placed upon his desk.

He leaned down and extended his hand, grasping the frame up and just glossed his eyes over it for a moment. They looked so happy in the picture and he misses her so much. Ashwin even still thinks about the life that they could've had together along with many other happy memories that they could've shared. An exhale escaped him as he sat the picture down now and an employee came in to make sure he was okay. A small but really soft smile formed in between his lips as he nodded his head and thanked her while he walked past her and she trailed closely behind him.

"All right, guys. Have a good night and call me if you need anything." They all hugged him, even the males as he laughed then headed toward the exit upon their release. Ashwin's eyes scanned the area he was currently in then eyed the apartments across the street from him. His eyes then bounced toward The Mighty Bean and seen his roommate inside, along with Vincent. He just had to go and bother his roommate for a few moments. Yes, he had to. Upon his entrance to the coffee shop, he was greeted by a frequent visitor to the bar, especially after work. He lifted his hand up and offered her a wave before he made his way over toward Brian and Vincent, his hand grasped the back of Brian's chair as he towered over the men with a smile.

"Hello there, gentlemen." Ashwin greeted them with a medium sized smile then wiggled his finger between them. "Hope that I am not interrupting anything." He had joked toward them then continuously towered over them. "I just came over here to see what you guys were up to tonight. Anything I can get in on?" He'd ask since his schedule was wide open and did not want to be bored tonight while everyone else was having fun without him.

Music wafted through the air of the store, a young man stood behind the register, picking his nails. It had been a slower day than normal, as he felt the vibrations of his phone moving through his pocket. His boss, Mr. Norman, was a pretty lenient dude. Which Kenta was thankful for, as long as he was attentive to the customers, he could do whatever he wanted in the downtime he'd have. Already having straightened up the vinyl and disc racks, with nobody being in the store at the moment, the Korean male took out his phone.

Mamacita to Mi Familia
Dinner's gonna b a lot of food, y'all can drop by ;D

A smile crossed the male's face, it was a friend, Dea! Seeing her message had made the male think of the events taking tomorrow. He was excited that they would all go to the festival tomorrow, having only been back in California for a few months. This was his first time going, and it was a music festival of all things. With friends of all things! He was also thankful, Mr. Norman had understood and told him he could go to it, and he'd have Sophitia come in and work front counter, with her being able to work weekends and not understanding why people wanted to go to such festivals. They were loud according to the younger female, and Kenta had just gotten more excited. He'd quickly type a response to the small group chat, as he saw Mr. Norman's car pull in.

Me to Mi Familia
bout 2 b let free. :) ill be over there in a few

"You ready to got Ken? I'll close up tonight, you have a long day to prepare tomorrow. Thanks though kid, see you Monday?", Mr. Norman's voice spoke out as Kenta looked up. A smile on his face. "Alright Mr. Norman! Thank you so much for letting me have off tomorrow too! I'll see you back here on Monday!,"
he spoke as he looked towards the older man. "I told you to call me Oliver, we're co-workers. Just because I hired you, doesn't mean you can't be my friend," the man spoke, as Kenta laughed a bit. He'd run to the back, and grab his phone charger, and the backpack he often carried his wallet and other things in. His sister had tried to edge him away from the design of it, but he liked it. You can't help what you like. As he didn't live too far from the apartments, he'd head out the door before waving towards the older man and beginning his walk towards the small buildings. As he had walked, the lingering thoughts of how he came here ran through his head. Why don't you just tell Omi? She's not gonna judge. Your parents are though, you didn't even tell the campus officers it wasn't yours. You're just the lesser version of Omi Kenta, he thought as he bit his lip. It helped stop the thoughts at times, he felt really bad for keeping such a secret from Naomi, but she'd probably be mad at him for ruining a chance to become what he wanted. No doubt though, he'd make it somehow.

About seven minutes had passed with the male walking, he'd reach the Red Building, as it was called. He'd trudge up the stairs, before reaching the apartment his sister, him, and another male shared. Before tossing his stuff to the floor and collapsing on the couch nearby.

Naomi moved her wrist with exact precision, her dark eyes focused on the wide brush being tapped against skin, leaving behind a luminescent power that highlighted the woman's cheekbones. After a couple more taps, she took a step back to study her own work. "One more thing!" she declared, taking hold of a small, black bottle that read "All-nighter" and instructing the woman to close her eyes. Once done, Omi released a few sprays of the liquid over the entirety of the face before close it back up and setting it down on the counter beside her brushes. "All finished, my dear." She then swirled the chair around so that the customer could see herself in the vanity mirror, and was instantly met with a gasp of delight. "I'm a whole new person!" The make-up artist smiled, handing the woman back her purse. "Go out there and turn some heads!" she exclaimed while handing the woman her purse.

Once she'd gone, Omi quickly moved to clean up her station. That had been her last appointment for the day and all she wanted to do now was go home, take a hot shower and binge on Netflix. Maybe, if she managed to motivate herself enough, she'd hop over to Dee's and Gabe's place for dinner. In fact, she was almost certain Dee had already messaged her about it. And sure enough, when she finally got the chance to check her phone, there it was under a group chat. Setting her apron aside, Omi took a moment to respond and let Dee know that she'd be there sooner or later.

To: Mi Familia
MSG: You know you can always bribe me with good food.
MSG: Enta, if you get home early could you take out the trash, please n thank u

The messages were sent, one right after the other, before she put her phone away. It was mid-evening on a Thursday, so it was no surprise that the store was relatively empty. A complete contrast to how it'd been that morning. Of course, Omi was once again stuck with working the busier shift. "Headed home?" Cindy's voice came from behind her. Naomi twirled on her heels to face her while pulling her purse strap over her head and letting it rest on her shoulder. "That was the last appointment for today, so i'm free.". Cindy simply nods, picking up a stray brush from the ground. "Alright babe, go home and rest. And have fun tomorrow!" Omi simply responded with a thumbs-up and headed for the exit. "See you Monday!" Though she only needed the following day off, Naomi had decided to take a mini vacation. She was off from both her job for the next three days, which she hopes to utilize for spending some time with friends, and most importantly, her brother.

It'd been a long day for Gabriel to say the least. To start off, he hadn't slept much, though that had been 110% his fault, given that he had chosen to stay up to watch Criminal Minds. He'd probably gotten about five or so hours of sleep, which then led him to wake up late and not having time to make himself some coffee. He made it to work just in time, and the day had been more busy than usual. Thankfully, for the sake of his sanity, things began to wind down halfway through the day. Now it was time to head home, and as much as Gabe enjoyed his job, he also really enjoyed free time. He'd already asked for his Friday off and never worked on the weekends. Although, knowing the reputation that perceived his apartment, Gabe knew the peace wouldn't last long. Soon enough, someone would come to their door seeking good food.

Car keys in hand, Gabriel exited the building and settling into his car. Part of him wanted to go grocery shopping, but the other half screamed at him to just go home and enjoy what little peace and quiet he could before the guests began to show up. So he started the car, one hand resting on the steering wheel, as he read and responded to Deanna's message.

To: Dee <3
MSG: Whatever makes you smile, mi nena.

In all honesty, Gabe wasn't picky about food. He already knew Deanna could just as well, if not better than he could. Truthfully, he was just glad she was the one doing the cooking tonight. Before starting on his trek to the apartment, he decided to send out a couple more messages. Some were necessary, while others were just an excuse to talk to the person on the other side.

To: Omi
MSG: If/when you come over tonight, bring some dessert :)

To: Ash
MSG: Stop moping, I can feel it all the way from here.
MSG: btw have you seen my headphones.... I lost em again.

With the messages sent, Gabriel let his phone settle into the cup holder beside him, the tunes from it automatically connecting to his car radio, and took off towards what he called now his home, sweet home.

--------------------------------------------------------

She had been working non-stop after the last strike from her stalker, just to get away all from these memories that her brain kept giving her. Whatever it was, she just had to get away from it. Arriving home on early hour, she had just finished another all-nighter, having had perhaps only couple of hours of sleep driving back and forth with her trusted uber driver. Ethel had been feeling feverish last couple of days, but being sick wasn't going to stop her. She was going to be fine, or at least... it was something she kept telling herself. As soon as the ash blonde got to her mailbox, as soon as she had checked it, she noticed a letter from the jail. A letter from the devil itself. Angry, she shoved it into her bag and walked upstairs, completely fuming. This day was just getting worse and worse.

MSG: Nana
"I just got back from a shoot. I have some tea to tell you, if you aren't busy and up for a morning coffee!"

Naomi was defenetly someone she had been confiding in a lot lately, just on the verge of not spilling the deepest secrets Ettie has. Just enough to keep herself sane and strong to thrive what she wanted to succeed in. And this tea was going to be specially hot! She was going to tell her about her father... as much as she can, though. The fact that he is in jail and of how Ethel hates him. It was going to be a though subject to go into and hopefully she was capable enough not to get mad and spill it all at once. It is a past she gladly wouldn't want to touch, but one thing she knew for sure - that letter was going to be burnt down in her kitchen sink just like every previous one before that.

Checking her phone, she sighed and wished she could just get into her bed and take a day or two off, a week even - but there was tight schedule she had set for herself. All the studies, shoots, classes, auditions. She had class even that evening, and at that hour, Ethel felt like she didn't want to step out of her house for a month!

Another message was sent over to her other golden girl:

MSG: Dee
"That damn director tried to make a move on me again! I will not take up any more offers from that agency. What a naster!"

She shivered just thinking back to the night, where that old guy tried to get into her pants over and over again. As soon as she is paid from that job, she is never going to be taking any of the work that has something to do with that guy. Placing her bag on the couch, she headed into the kitchen to start on that coffee she desperately needed. Pouring some water into her cup with pandas on it, she found some meds against fever from her bag and swallowed couple of them. There was no time to be sick.

At least until a certain point in the day, most people very well acquainted with Aramis will know that he keeps a very strict schedule. This is probably convenient for anyone who lives with him, as they can pretty reliably know when he will be home everyday barring some sort of work conflict. Today had not been a day of schedule variations. At 6:00am, he went to the gym for an hour of strength training. At 7:15, he went to the café next to his gym that he eats breakfast at almost every morning. By now they have his order ready when he walks in, ballcap on and dressed stylishly but not conspicuously. This is not out of fear of being recognized- Aramis is a far cry from the sort of famous that needs to worry about this. This has been his everyday style since he was in high school: nice, dark jeans with a Henley or maybe a casual button-down and a lightweight hoodie or sweater. He, as one might expect, eats the same thing every weekday morning: one hot Jasmine Tea, one small Black Coffee, and a veggie lovers breakfast sandwich (eggs, spinach, tomatoes, and provolone on a croissant).

Of course, by now that part of his day is long past. After a day spent at several different sites for a photoshoot for Calvin Klein, he is enjoying his evening jog. Or rather, he is enjoying the very end of his morning jog as he winds down to a slower pace that might be closer to the average's person's leisurely run. For him it is like slowing to a crawl, and is done simply so that he has a chance to take his phone out of the band which keeps it tightly against his bicep and scroll through his playlist to find a slower song to play. He settles on River, by Leon Bridges, just as the red building Aramis calls home comes into sight.

One of his roommates, the younger Watanabe sibling, is several meters in front of him such that Aramis can see him heading into the building while he is still walking towards it. The color of the apartment is one of the things Aramis has always been so fond of about it. The red is warm and homey, giving the building a very welcoming vibe. Before walking inside and up to his unit, Aramis stops in front of the door and takes a deep breath of the incoming evening air. The setting sun has made everything golden, as though one could breathe in honey and sunbeams. It may be quite unoriginal, but this is Aramis's favorite time of day.

Having had enough of that, he finally heads up and into the apartment. "I'm home!" he announces, more a gesture of courtesy than anything else. Kenta is sprawled out on the couch, not an uncommon sight since he came to live with Naomi and Aramis.

"How was your day?" Aramis opens the fridge and grabs a seltzer from the door of it. "Is Naomi back yet?"

Josie has spent most of her day doing much of the same but in a variety of places. She is working on concept panels for an advertisement that she has been hired on as a contractor to help do the animation for. In search of inspiration and a respite from being cooped up in her own room for too long, Josie has brought her drawing tablet with her to several places in the neighborhood by now: the park, the Mighty Bean, the communal area of the red building, and now back to her room again. She has the window pushed all the way up to let in fresh air, and has been sitting with her knee poking out the window as she sits on the very small sill of it for the past good chunk of time. Her room is the one with the window over the Daffodil building's clock, so many people who have looked up to check the time have caught sight of the redhead completely absorbed in her work. This location means there have also probably been more than a few people who have seen her leaning out of her window to blow smoke or, most concerningly, seen her changing when the girl is in a hurry and forgets to draw her curtains.

Of course, the worry about people seeing her smoking or changing has very rarely, if every, crossed Josie's mind. She has never been one to worry too much about anything at all, although recent changes in her life may push her in a direction that require her to be a bit more thoughtful about her life in general. Josie has been lucky to land jobs with some regularity, but now that she cannot fall back on her mom and dad's money she is going to have to find a more secure position- perhaps with an actual company that enforces a real schedule. The idea of that isn't one that Josie loves. This is perhaps why she is trying to focus so much on her current paying project, despite her normal tendency to have difficulty focusing on a work project for long periods of time.

Her phone buzzes with a distraction that Josie cannot resist- Deanna. The sound gives Josie a jolt and nearly sends her teetering out of the window. The young woman's hand shoots up and grabs the sides of the window before she runs the risk of falling out and breaking her back (at best). "Fudge," her words come out in a gasp but in her surprise a bit of her southern accent sneaks through. Properly spooked, Josie hurries back onto her bed (which is against the window), and lowers the window until it is just cracked open.

To Mi Familia
MSG I wasn't sure about coming but that ;D sealed the deal.

Josie walked out into the common area of her apartment and bursts into a smile when she sees one of her roommates in the kitchen. She has this way of making every greeting feel like she hasn't seen you in days and has been looking forward to your next meeting since the last one you had. Her grandma often likened Josie to a silly puppy, and this certainly contributed to the sentiment. It's too bad her grandma preferred cats.

"Ettie! When'd you get back?"

Twyla had just finished working on the commercial she had been working on for the past week. It was for some sort of perfume that was supposed to smell like a tropical breeze but in her opinion it smelled more like cat shit. Of course she wasn't able to tell the company her thoughts on the product or they would fire her on the spot. That was the last thing she needed. If she wanted her career to take off, she had to just push those thoughts to the back of her mind and deal with it like a grown woman.

"Alright, that's a wrap! Great job everyone!" the director of the commercial stated, signaling that it was officially the end of the commercial shoot and that it was time for everyone to head out.

Twyla let out a relieving sigh because she desperately needed a cigarette at the moment. She made her way into the dressing room and changed into her own clothes, which consisted of a pair of blue jeans and a black t-shirt. She pulled her jacket on over her arms, grabbed her purse and began to head out the building. Once she made it outside she lit herself a cigarette and checked her phone for messages.

To: Mi Familia Group Chat
"Wonderful! I'll be there after I get home and shower. Looking forward to some food right now!"

Twyla sent the message and slid her phone back into her pocket as she stopped at the sidewalk and started her walk home. Thankfully it was only a couple blocks away, so it wasn't going to take very long for her to get home.

Once she arrived at the Daffodil building, she looked up at it with a warm smile before making her way inside and towards her apartment. When she stepped inside, she heard her roommates in the kitchen, she made her way through the living room and into the kitchen, noticing that Ethel still looked to be sick and Josie was just as chipper as always. "Hey girls," she greeted to them before focusing her full attention on Ethel. "You've been sick for a while. You should probably go see a doctor if it keeps getting worse," she stated in concern as she reached into the refrigerator for a bottle of water.

Vincent's easy manuevering of closing the laptop reflected how well he had gotten to know Brian because other than the slight flinch - not out of fear of his friend's proximity, but that age-old-barely-there-shame at being caught doing nothing when he definitely should have been doing something - the second Vincent spoke, Brian didn't put up a fight. Granted, that pesky part of his brain that hated shutting his laptop screen without closing out of all sites and applications piped up for a moment, but if he was being honest with himself, Brian wasn't against being wheezled out of looking at a probably too bright screen after such a long period of time.

"God, yes," he groaned almost too immediately. Brian knew for a fact that there were a host of reasons why he shouldn't find such relief in whiskey or really any alcohol. There was the fact that he hated that similarity he shared with his father, the fact that he was very much still on antidepressants and probably shouldn't be drinking and on them, his loose lips when drunk, etc. But denying himself such gratification was for a much stronger man - a better man. Brian was not that man. "You'd think organizations would give a damn about students - regardless of their undergrad or grad classification - and want to give money to ensure student matriculation and a surge in their own wallets from said students attending their schools, but it's like actually pulling teeth to get funds." Speaking while packing the rest of his things away in the messenger bag he carried frequently, Brian jumped when he felt Ashwin grab the back of his chair. He hadn't seen him. "Jesus, Ash," he muttered, gave him a side-glare that was barely genuine, and continued. "Not doing much. Just getting a drink with Vincent."

Deanna could admit – and only to herself because those shady remarks and looks her friends gave her always made her more indignant than she needed to be – that she was absolutely shitty at parking. Well – that wasn’t fair. She was decent at parking; she obviously passed her driver’s test and with a good score, if she remembered correctly. She just couldn’t do parallel parking, which was the only reason why she didn’t snatch up the parking spot that would have put her directly in front of her building. She probably could have attempted to maneuver her way in if she just took her time, but that required so much energy and attention and Deanna’s nerves couldn’t handle it. Her default ringtone went off just as she saddled on past the Daffodil building, but instead of answering the phone or risking a chance at parallel parking, Deanna scurried on down the block, did a U-turn, and came back to park on the opposite corner. A walk across the street was not going to hurt her, she decided.

However, her cloud of positive energy dissipated when she finally did park and take a moment to check her phone, her entire frame freezing at the unknown number. It’s just a number, she told herself, willing her suddenly thundering heart to believe it, though her resistance to the panic was futile. When she had moved off of campus and into her apartment, Deanna had changed her cellphone number and didn’t give it to the same people. Gabriel was probably the only individual from her former friend group – if she could even call them that – who received her new number. She had just gotten so tired of the anxiety and fear that came with ignoring Ricky’s calls, so she had literally thrown the phone away – after throwing it against the wall and what an explanation she had given to her then only roommate at the time! – and bought a new one. There had been peace for a time, but in the last four months, she kept getting random calls. It wasn’t Ricky’s number; that much she knew. But her instinct still told her it was him. Ethel’s text eventually popped up underneath the mixed call and Deanna shook herself out of it, even as she felt the slight tremor in her hand as she began to text a response.

To: Ethel
oh no, bb. Im heading in now. Need 2 talk?

To: Mi Familia
yaayyy!! Heading in now. got 2 bottles of wine & there’s tequila

Deanna felt robotic even as she sent the messages she knew everyone else would recognize from her usual self, distant in that way that felt like she knew it was her body performing the actions, yet she didn’t feel like it was her. She needed a glass of wine. She needed to start cooking and block out the knot in her stomach with the sound of popping oil, sizzling meat, and chatter. Which was why she hurried up, threw her phone into her purse, grabbed all of the bags, and quickly made her way across the street and into the Daffodil building.

Ahhh, what a relief that she wasn't home alone. Seeing Josie made Ethel smile bright, or as bright one could after getting more and more sick as it seemed. "Hi babygirl!" The blondie chipped back in a fake cheerfulness, grabbing her cup and heading over to grab some hot water and tea or just coffee. The letter from jail and from her father was peeking out of her heavy handbag, but she didn't really notice it. If anyone ever found that, she would break down in panic instantly. Being open about her past was really hard, and the issue of trusting someone over her limit was scaring Ethel more than she could ever describe. After all, her innocence had been robbed by some perverted movie director, when she was underage and didn't even had her first period yet.

"Just a moment ago," she finally replied, a sudden flash of coldness running over her skin and making her grab her own self into a tight embrace. Her intuition was screaming at her to stay home and heal that cold out, but she chose to ignore it... again. Noticing Twyla get back home as well, she smiled, but it was instant turn off as soon as Ethel heard the comment of being sick. So... she had been caught.

"Yeah, but I will be fine. Couple of meds and a hot tea and it will pass in no tim!" "Lies, you are such a liar," she scolded herself in her own mind and took a sip from her cup, staring at her friends, trying to convince them - and herself - that she was some kind of a superwoman. "Besides, I have no time to be sick." She grabbed her phone and saw one of her besties' message, and quickly replied, only to notice the group messages flooding her phone as well.

MSG: Dee
"Just come, when you can. Don't want to take you away from all those preps for the dinner!"

MSG: Mi Familia
"I don't know if I can make it today. Have acting classes!"

Ethel was trying to skip out of it again, although she knew perfectly well that Deanna would leave some food beside until she got back home to all of their little family after classes, but Ettie somehow felt that if her roomies saw that message, they would make her stay in with all means necessary. She didn't want to admit that it was something she certanly needed at that day.

▎▏NAOMI WATANABE ▏▎
―――――――――――――――――――――――――

Location: Sephora ➝ Her apartment

Dialogue: #8B008B

―――――――――――――――――――――――――
If you ask those that knew Naomi they would confirm it to be true, however, the twenty-four-year-old refused to believe that her road rage was anything to talk about. Granted, on a day like today when it seemed like the entire world conspired to move as slowly as legally permitted, she did happen to be a little honk-happy. However, in her defense, she had much better things to do than to be stuck in city traffic for almost thirty minutes now when it should have taken her no more than fifteen to make it back to the apartment.

"Seriously?!" her palm slammed against the car horn for what seemed like the billionth time int he passed ten minutes. Surprisingly, this one managed to move the Honda in front of her to the lane over. Thankfully, for her sake and everyone else's on the road, she was able to drive the rest of the way without any inconveniences. While looking for an empty parking spot, Omi didn't fail to notice Dee's car parked across the street which she could only assume was a result of her avoiding parallel parking at all costs. A smile of amusement settled into place as she backed up enough to take the spot in front of the Daffodil building that Dee had purposely left empty. She didn't have to check to know that the spots in front of the red building were all booked up. That's how it'd always been since she moved in. Thankfully, the Daffodil building was just a few short steps away. "Sorry, Gabe." she muttered to the air. Getting a decent parking spot had always been a survival of the fittest here, and well let's just say Omi happened to be quite fit.

The car door closed with a thump as she made her way over to the red building. It seemed that she was one of the last to arrived, confirmed by the fact that Kenta and Aramis had already made themselves comfortable by the time she got there. "I'm home." she called, hanging her bag on the coat hanger next to the entrance and throwing her baby brother a quick air kiss before heading straight to the kitchen. For those that knew very little about Naomi, it would be a surprise to find that the petite girl could eat up to three times her weight. It'd been a long day at work and regardless of how much she'd be stuffing her face at Dee and Gabe's later, she still needed something to hold her over until then.

"Hey handsome" the greeting was directed at Aramis but her eyes were focused on the open cupboard looking for anything worth snacking on. She finally settled on a bag of popcorn, placed it into the large microwave and hit the preset popcorn time before turning to face Aramis again. "How many hearts did you melt today?" The comment was accompanied by a slight smirk, displaying a playfull side of Naomi that was seen by very few and far in between.

Seeing the text from his sister, he would sigh before turning over to see Aramis walking through the door. "I'm home!", the male spoke as he entered. Kenta would throw a wave his way, before he heard Aramis continue to speak. ""How was your day? Is Naomi back yet?", the Korean boy would laugh before shrugging. "Mine was good, ran the store most of the day. It was good, and nah, not yet. I gotta take out the trash because she'll be home any......" the boy paused before seeing his sister walk through the door. "...second" he spoke as he'd wave to the woman. Hopping up off the couch he'd follow his sister to get himself a cup of orange juice. He just felt it. He'd check his phone to see a few texts come through.

Firefly to Mi Familia
I wasn't sure about coming but that ;D sealed the deal.

Mamacita to Mi Familia
yaayyy!! Heading in now. got 2 bottles of wine & there’s tequila

Movie Star to Mi Familia
I don't know if I can make it today. Have acting classes!

Laughing a bit he'd stand in the kitchen and sip on his o.j before turning to go back to the living room."I'm gonna head over to Dea's, I'll hopefully see you there Omi, and I don't think she'd mind if you brought Ram. Love y'alllll," the male would speak before he'd walk out the door. The building wasn't too far before he followed a very familiar route. Before he'd end up walking to the front of his intended destination, turning the nob to open up the door. "I'm home!,"

All Twyla was able to do was just nod her head at her roommate's words. She knew Ethel was always the type of person to not let anything such as being sick get in the way of things she had to do, but sometimes enough was just enough in Twyla's opinion. "Just take care of yourself," was all Twyla was able to get out before she turned to head over to her bedroom. She closed the door behind her and set her purse and jacket down on her bed and plopped down on the edge. She pulled her phone out of her pocket and looked over all the messages she had missed. When she noticed the response Ethel sent, she just shook her head. At some point there had to be a time when she would just give in and take a day or two off in order for her to get better. But deep down Twyla knew that was most likely never going to happen. The only way it would was if she and Josie talked her into it or otherwise put, forced her into it.

She set her phone down on the bed and stood to her feet. She needed to get a shower before she even thought about heading over to Deanna's for dinner. If there were one thing she hated about her job, was all of the hairspray, makeup, etc. they always put on you. Twyla was honestly shocked she hadn't broken out in acne yet because of the makeup they used all the time. Though to be honest she was quite happy she hadn't.

Twyla took her shower and got dressed before heading out of her room. "Alright girls, I'm heading to Deanna's. See you later," she stated as she departed from the apartment and closed the door behind her. She found her way over to the stairs and traveled down to the next floor. She found herself standing at the door of 1A and knocked before opening it up and allowing herself inside. Of course she knew when there was a big get together there was no need to knock, but even so, she always did it just to allow them to know someone new was around.

"Hey everyone!" she stated as she entered the apartment. Immediately she was taken in by the delicious smell of the food. "Smells good Dee!" she stated as she closed the door behind her.

Vincent smiled upon Brian’s reply. ”God, yes.” As always he liked to provide the listening ear without giving too much response himself. ”I am pretty sure pulling teeth is a bit worse, but I hear your pain, my friend. Come on, let’s go.”
At that moment he saw Ash coming up behind Brian. "Hello there, gentlemen." Vincent gave a small wave to the club owner. He wasn’t particularly close to him, but there was no animosity between the two. ”Hey Ash, join us for a drink? A little Thursday night refreshment.”

Vincent took the lead to his apartment, knowing at least Brian would come as well. Opening the door he was happy to see the cleanliness of the place. It made him glad his roommate was either not there, or as neat as he was. ”Take a seat…”
He grabbed the remote and switched on the massive TV in the lounge. He threw the remote on the couch for anyone to control. He didn’t mind much what was on TV, it was more to show off than anything else. He walked to the large globe on the side of the room. Opening the lid it showed the collection of whisky hidden underneath. He grabbed the ice bucket and took it to the kitchen while addressing Brian. ”You know Ri, it’s about the market. Right now there are way more well-paying students in the market than they can handle. About 40% of all applicant can be denied without it seriously affecting them.”

He held the ice bucket under the dispenser and filled it. Taking it back he took 3 glasses and poured his newly acquired Bunnahabhain 40 year old single malt and put in 2 ice cubes in each of them. He handed out the glasses and raised his own. ”Cheers gents.” Vincent took a sip from his glass and closed his eyes while enjoying the perfect drink.
”So unless you kill half of the students, or build a few schools of your own, pulling teeth will remain a more pleasant experience than getting funds. Just out of curiosity, how are you trying to get the funds?”
Vincent had some money of his own, but knowing how he got it didn’t make him willing to share with actual friends. He hated awkward questions.

Vincent walked up to the front door and opened it. He pushed the doorstopper against it. As long as he was home and not sleeping, everyone was welcome, and he hated opening the door every 5 minutes. He sat down on the couch himself, taking another delicious sip. He took out his phone and texted the first person coming to mind.

Hiya Josie, what r u upto? Wanna hang later?

Josie has a very large heart, and cares about other people, but she is also a bit dense. Dense enough that she doesn't catch on to the fact that Ettie is trying to keep her wilting state hidden behind a weak smile and a mug of tea. She doesn't register that when Ettie wraps herself up in her own arms, it is a sign of a chill that has only been getting worse recently. To Josie, it is just a nervous little gesture that misattributes to Ettie being nervous about class or just happy to be back in the comfort of their lovely apartment. So she smiles, bright but fooled, cut off from any response by her sharper roommate's entrance and observation. Twyla is not one who lets things slip by unnoticed very easily at all, and it shows in her immediate comments of concern. For her part, Josie's expression falls a little bit in realization of what she must have missed. The young woman may not always catch every clue, but when something is said out loud even she will realize her mistakes.

"Maybe Twyla's right, Ettie. You have to give yourself time to feel better. And if you don't get it treated and it gets worse? What if it's something really bad and you miss it? Or you'd have to go stay in the hospital for a long time? You know I work from home all day, I'm always willing to play nurse! It wouldn't be any inconvenience and I could- Oh, Dear," Josie catches herself starting to ramble on, and even she knows how bad she can get about going off on tangents. Her voice slows back down to a normal rate, still as gentle as ever.

"I'm sorry, I guess I get a little carried away," a little drawl slips out in her 'away', twanging in the second syllable of the word and revealing her Texan origins. Of course, her accent may come more from her Mississipi Mom and Alabama Dad. A little apologetic half smile pulls at Josie's face.

"I'm just saying if you need anything, I'm here! But if you don't that's fine too. Do you want me to save you some food?" By this point Josie has gotten a little ding in her phone, which had been sagging down the pocket of her (slightly too warm for the season) flannel. Her face lights up at the sight of a text from Vincent, one of her favorite people in the group of friends.

To: Vincent
Going to Dea's for dinner. You should come! & Ofc, what did you have in mind? Painting or Partying? Video games or some drink that starts with a V I can't think of?

Of course, as soon as the text is sent the obvious answer hits her.

To Vincent
V for Vodka. Duh. & Vendetta.

By now, Twyla is already ready and heading out to Dea's. Josie watches her go and then looks back at Ettie. "Sure you don't want to come? What if we play improv games at dinner- that could be like an interim thing to keep you warmed up for next class?"

Aramis's eyebrows shoot up as Kenta's statement is cut off by the entrance of the very woman he was supposed to have beat to the trash. "Do you just have a Naomi radar or something?" he jokes before turning and smiling at Naomi. He likes Kenta well enough, but Naomi is the one he had originally chosen as his roommate and there is just a little indication of this in the greeting smile that he gives the two of them. It's not intentional, of course, but there is something a little less courtesy and a little more friendship in his greetings towards Naomi vs his greetings towards the more recent addition to the apartment. Give Kenta some more time on Aramis's radar, and this very likely will even out. But he's known Naomi a lot longer, through work and eventually their shared apartment space.

"No, I'm afraid not, but I do have high hopes for this weekend. The only thing melting at this very moment is me, I think," he evidences this by gulping down the cold bottle of seltzer in his hand. Once upon a time, Aramis had absolutely loathed the stuff. But it is part of how he kicked an old soda habit. Now he can't stand the syrupy sweetness of a bottle of pop, but loves the refreshing feeling of seltzer after a long jog. Still swallowing his drink, Aramis acknowledges Kenta with a wave of his hand as the youngest member of the apartment heads out for a rather customary dinner over at the Daffodil building. A customary dinner Aramis tends to skip out on, excusing it on a special diet or needing to workout whenever he can, unless it seems like absolutely everyone in the friend group is going. Even then, he will sometimes opt to go for a bike ride or relax with a newspaper instead. His reasoning for this is something he tends to try and protect.

Dea wouldn't say anything to reject an attempt by Aramis to hop in on her dinner, but she certainly wouldn't like it and Aramis certainly would never try to invade on someone's happy place like that. "I'll actually pass on Deanna's, Naomi, so don't worry about waiting up on me for that. I have some work stuff to look at," the excuse is not technically untrue, though he has cleared this weekend and doesn't have another job until next Tuesday.

Ashwin laughed at Brian, who jumped up and eyed his roommate. "Sorry, did not mean to scare you. Or did I?" His gaze flashed over toward Vincent whenever Brian mentioned him and gave him a head nod. Ashwin's phone chimed from the inside of his pocket as he reached inside and grabbed it, pulling it out to review the message that was from Gabriel or Gabe, as he had liked to call him. He slipped his phone back inside of his pants pocket as he chuckled and shook his head at the message, thinking to himself that Gabe would lose his head if it wasn't attached to his body.

"Uh, I would but Gabe lost his headphones." Ashwin informed them then nodded his head to the side. "So, I gotta go and help him look for them or else he'd be even more lost." Ashwin chuckled at his own words because they were true and almost everyone knew it. But just as he looked at them, they were already heading up to Vincent's apartment and Ashwin trailed closely behind them.

When they walked inside of the apartment, his eyes widened at the cleanliness of the place and wanted to offer a compliment but did not want to offend him in the process either. Vincent had offered for them to take a seat and Ashwin held his hand up, shaking his head. "I'm perfectly fine with standing. I have to leave after this drink anyway."

Ashwin mentioned that last part to the both of them and grabbed a glass, holding it up so that it would clink with Vincent's and Brian's glass then chugged his drink down. His cheeks were puffballs before he swallowed the drink hard and groan a little. "Wow. That's the good stuff." He muttered then sat down his glass down and gave Vincent a thumbs up. "Thanks for the drink and I will be back for some more." Ashwin then nudged his roommate, Brian and pinched his cheek playfully. "Don't stay out too late, hon." He teased him, always liked to tease his roommate. "Later, guys."

Ashwin waved his hand at the duo of guys and went to his own apartment, remembering that he did not text Gabe back and cursed underneath his breath. He was standing outside the door of his apartment as he took out his phone and started to type a message toward Gabe.

To: Gabe
Hey, dude, hella late response but yeah, I think you left them at my apartment. I'm here now if you want to come over and look for them. Also, I mope if I want to!

He had sent the message and grabbed his keys from inside of his pocket then entered into his own apartment, closing the door behind him. He had taken off his tie and vest then unbuttoned the cuffs of his dress shirt sleeves and rolled them up. Ashwin sat down in the chair with his tablet in hand, just checking over some information that was needed for The HUB soon.

LILLIAN VELASQUEZ
outfit | #b116d4
The Mighty Bean ▷ 2A

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Today was one of her lazy days and she was going to enjoy it very much. She sat Indian style on the couch, with a sub sandwich and some plain chips on a plate and a Cola to wash it down with, clicking the remote to turn her television on and going straight to the Hulu app. She needed to catch up on a few shows but one of them was Beverly Hills, 90210, the older version and not that 90210 trash. Her eyes gazed upon the screen intently as she paid attention to every single acting detail, thinking in her head about how some scenes could've been made better. She was a huge critic when it came to shows, movies or anything else that had to do with acting and her jobs.

Lillian had been inside all day, isolated and she was okay with it but wondered what was going on tonight as she saw that the show went on one of those limited commercials and she got up. She had basically chowed down her sub sandwich and chips, feeling a bit fat afterward but let out a big burp. She covered her mouth with her hand, too then walked back over toward the couch, leaning up and grabbed her cell phone, searching for a particular contact in mind.

To: Momma Dee
Hello there. Just trying to see if anything was going on tonight. Also, love ya.

She had sent the message then lifted her gaze up to look at her television screen, twiddling her thumbs and wondering who else could she text right about. It was more than obvious that she was bored. Her roommate had some out of the state photo job to do so she was constantly left all alone almost all the freaking time now.

To: Gabe
What's up, dude? Wyd?

She sent that message then leaned back on the couch, returning to her Indian style seating position and focused her attention back onto the television screen and Hulu, reacting to some parts. In the back of her mind, she hoped that something was going on tonight because she had the perfect outfit to wear.
