First thought: You parents may have said they loved you but secertly they were a little ashamed of you. It may be because you're deaf, been in jail,gay, anything. You knew that they were ashamed so it made you either feel ashamed and hate yourself. You did you should have done or maybe it was something you didn't chose. You ran away to Freedom. Where you met a group of kids around your age who had the same problem in their life. You would stay there all summer and said you would never go back but of course you did. But, before you did you made a promise to always come back here til we all died. *Pinky Swear*. It has been five years since you have. One of you isn't ready to leave that city or their real family behind. All they want is one more summer before everyone moves on in their lives.
PLOT
For many people they feel at home in their home but for these six teens it's as far away they can get from their house. Every single of these teenagers have some thing they're ashamed of. It might be a disablity,being in a gang,anything. They are always being judged by every single person who meets them. For the summer they made a pack to always go to this small town near the beach,The people here were homeless people,Gay,Lesbians,Transgender,they were all different. They all came here to get away from the judgemental world. To come here they had to lie to their parents when if they said no they would run-away for the summer and come back in August. Their old town they came from gave them the name "The Summer Ghost" because they left not a single trait of where they went. The last time they did that was a total of 5 years ago. One of them finds a picture of all of them a decides it's time to reunite the "Ghost" and live up their last summer before some go off to college and they all go down different paths, never to entertwin again.

You all get a letter. There is no return address all it sais is your old town of what you called "Landlocked". You all being the naive teenagers you are open the letter to see the picture that the newpaper always used around the summer time when you would go "missing".
The letter states:
Hello friend,
So nice to say hi to you again. So it toke me along time to type these and to find your address i mean damn some of you even moved out of the state. How have you been, (Insert name here)? Ok,it's not that big of a secert. So it's Alice, that picture I've sent you. Do you remember that? You and your friends would always runaway to that cute little town. What was the name? Oh right..Freedom,California. Ring a bell? Yea I knew it would. But from what I remember it has been a total for at least 5 years since we have gone back. We are all getting older some of us are 18,17, shit one of us is even 16. The reason I'm sending this is not because I wish to tease you but I remember your difference that you were ashamed of. Were you the one who was color-blinded,in a gang,or was it something else? I am here to invite you to return to that old little town. Just one more time. Before we all forget about each other completely, Hell who knows maybe it may refersh our friendships,relationships,who knows what that one summer will do? You do remeber how to do this right? Well if you don't this is what you do:
1.Leave your cell phone at home
2.Tell No one!
3.Take only the basic needs (Clothing,food,etc.)
4.You may bring you ipod as long as you turn off the tracker
5.You must find your own way of tranportion
6.Leave you room door locked

‘It’s been over eight hours’ Eli thought, struck by a sudden wave of dizziness as he walked up to the counter. It was a cardinal rule of chest compression that no one was supposed to wear a binder for over eight hours. Pain, trouble breathing, fainting, nasty bruises, cracked ribs; none of it was at all pretty. One or two hours over was fine, but not sixteen. Making a decision, he veered off to the bathroom, deciding at the last second not to risk the men’s room.
When Eliot entered the restroom, he quickly walked into one of the stalls and sat down. It must have been a good five minutes of staring down at that… thing before he finally took it off and changed into a bra, refusing to look down as he did so. It was disgusting.
Eli walked back into the main part of the restaurant, where the others were discussing something unknown to him. Deciding against that food, he walked back to the table, his arms crossed, and he sat back down, unable to look at anything but the wood on the table.

Roy had grown bored with the Ouija bored and scooted out of the booth and into a different one. He sat with his back against the wall and his legs outstreatched. He looked around at everyone, wondering when they were going to go to the house. He missed his room and would very much like to see it again. His mouth was tired of smiling as well, so he tried to relax his face, but rubbing it. He probably looked stupid but he didn't care so much at this point in time. It felt good.

She sighs. "Well, I guess this is all of us. Do guys want to head to out house?" She saids disappointed and excited at the same time. She gets up and heads to the door. She opens the door and it makes a ringing sound. Everyone looks in her direction well really at at all of them but still she hated being stared at. She walks out and starts her motorcycle as it makes a huge vroom sound. She sits on her motorcycle as she waits for the others to come out. She exhales not being able to be so positive anymore. Wow,I've really changed. She thinks as she puts on her black helmet with a white star on the side.

"Are we going? Like, seriously, as much as I love this place, I'm getting tired." Turtle complained banging her head on the table mumbling to herself. Though she probably looked immature to the others it doesn't matter. "Seriously we need to catch up. I have to complain to you all about my exes." She said her, perking up, picking her head up off the table. This should be fun!

Roy stood and stretched and then dug in his pocket for his truck keys. He smiled thinking about going back to the house. It was about time! He walked out to his truck and got inside. He sat inside of a little bit and then started it up. It roared to life and he closed his eyes loving the sound of it. He saw what everyone else was driving as well. It was so weird to see how much they all had grown up!

Vinny sighed at being called 'Snow White,' "Man, why you always dissing me? I've had a hard life for the past 5 years, and I certainly don't need you making it harder." He got up and saw everybody else talking about heading towards the old house. He wondered if his posters were still up or were they torn down by some dumb punk. He reached into his pockets and grabbed his beat up mustang keys. Attached to the key were his emergency lighter, a bottle opener and a his signed Eminem key chain. He tossed his keys in the air and caught them. He walked out outside and headed to his car. He jumped in and proceeded to try to start it up. It took him about 3 tries to get it started. Vinny pulled up outside the Pizzeria.

Turtle ran to her-er, neighbor's-car, hoping in. She started up the car, cranked up Blood On The Dance Floor, looking around admiring everyone's ride. She wasn't one who had grown up. Though she was the only one who hasn't matured yet. Whoops.

Seemed everyone was getting up, ready to depart for...'the old house'. Izzie too stood from her seat as the group began to crumble, its constituents departing for their various vehicles. Izzie shoved her hands into the pockets of her jeans and strode on out of the restaurant, and once she had exited the building back out into the warm midday air, she dove one hand into the inner pocket of her jacket to retrieve a pack of cigarettes--along with it, a box of matches. Her long, tattooed fingers fished one pencil thin filter from the carton, and then struck a single match, cupping the flame as she brought it to the end of the cigarette now held between her lips. She waved the match flame out, tossing the burnt out matchstick to the side of the road as she walked towards her motorcycle.

Watching the rest of the group leave, Eli could only hope that this town had Taxi’s. He seemed to be the only one here without a car or a bike, and he wasn’t about to ask anyone. Going up to the nearest pay phone, he dropped two quarters in and found that, like there were no busses in this town, there were no taxi’s either.
Well maybe someone was still here… he looked around, hopping that maybe someone would notice him.

Turtle frowned at Eli's predicament, but she wasn't sure if she should offer a ride. Eli, unlike her, was mature and quiet. Turtle, was well...the opposite.
But still, she turned down the music, and stuck her head out the window.
"Hey, Eli, I know riding with me may be awkward, and incredibly uncomfortable, but if you desperate enough I'll give you a ride." She beamed at him, waiting for her- erm, him to answer. God dammit.

Roy watched as everyone peeled off to go to the house. He looked around to make sure that no one was still around. He noticed Eli, but Turtle had already offered him a ride. He looked at him again and then put the truck into D, but didn't go yet. He stuck a hand and waved. He wished he could tell Eli that he too could give him a ride, but maybe just sitting here a while longer will give him the hint.

Well this is a bit awkward Eli though, yet didn’t dare to say outloud. He wasn’t going to refuse Turtle’s offer. That would be rude, and rather insensitive, but he had noticed Roy’s wave. “Uhm, no, it won’t be awkward at all for me” he lied, smiling politely at her. He wpuld just pretend not to notice Roy. Though it made him feel completely awfull to do so.

Pierce waved to the ones that were still inside and went outside the parlor. First thinking to put his giutar in the back seat he did and then got into his ride, he got for himself. He turned the car on and cranked up his music, listening to his favorite guitar solo's. Tapping his fingers on the car to the beat of the drums playing in the song. He loved songs that didn't have any words in it. It makes you make up your own song when the person that made the song, failed to do of course.

Roy watched as Eli got into Turtle's car. He frowned but then shrugged it off, he could do whatever he wanted to do. He looked around and noticed that basically everyone is gone. He smiled and then peeled out. He turned up his metal and listened to Ozzy Osbourne and started to rock out.

She smiled politely at Eli, but when Eli made his decision, Turtle noticed how he was slightly confused, and how ignored Roy. What's up with them? She shook her head. Climbing into the car, Eli smiled at Turtle, "thanks," he said quietly, closing the door, "I really appreciate the ride." He sat back against the seat and closed his eyes for a few moments. "I can't believe that this damn town doesn't have any taxis." He was surprised at the malice in his voice, especially when it was towards the town where he had practically grown to be the person he was today.

Alice starts to feel the wind hit her pale white skin as she picks up speed and starts to hear the ocean as it hits the sandy shore. She starts to see their old house. A few seconds later and she stops her bike and runs up to the house. She throws her helmet in the sand and sits on the old wooedn steps. "It's so great to be home!" She yells as she looks up at the sky. "Freedom,we have arrived!" She yells to the sky as she gets up and walks in to the old living room that smells like salt water. She squents her nose and looks around. "Still smells like home." She saids as she stops in the middle of the room and squats down to a loose floorboard. She removes it and grabs a bunch of different things that showed that they were here just in case anyone came into the house. She grabs so notebooks that Roy has written convosations in,old game pieces, and pictures they would take of each other around the town. She chuckles as she looks at her self with her old blonde hair and shorter than anyone else.

Roy could feel his excitement building as he got closer to the house. He smiled thinking about how fun it would be to play guitar with Pierce again and have everyone just be together. He was glad that he had decided to come, or else, he would have missed all of this, and probably not be able to come back.
