The Tale of the Immortalis Book 1: Beginning

0 INK

The Devil has revived the dead to wreak havoc on humanity. God was forced to do the same as the countermeasure. However, the land is under the reign of Devil's Immortali, and now God's Immortali must band together and overthrow him.

Introduction

The Story:
The year is 1000, in the Medieval Ages. No, it wasn't like in the history books. God and the human race agreed to leave out at least a thousand years from history. This is from the time period in which everything was erased. No corpses, no memorials, nothing. The only thing left was the title of "The Dark Ages."

God is winning the eternal war against Satan. The land is united under the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church. The Devil's minions, whoever they may be, are failing to wreak havoc on humanity. Everyone believes in God and supports Jesus Christ. Any person who dared to give worship to Satan is killed. Any demons who possessed a human were immediately exorcised. It was a wonderful, yet short, period for the Church. Everything went wrong when the Devil chose to break the ruled of death itself.

Instead of accepting souls that were taken to the gates of Hell, the Devil decided to revive them. He gave them immortality, he gave them power over the elements, he gave them a vow that the chosen few would most certainatly enjoy: Causing destruction and death to the believers of God. These people were known as Immortali.

Nothing God can do would stop them. God cannot interfere physically. He had made a covenant. A simple bolt of lightning, Heaven's main weapon, had no use against these people. All God can do is watch as the Immortali slowly took over the entire continent. One ruler rose up among all of them. His name was Julian, and he ruled with an iron fist.

Julian caused what the Fevil had wanted: chaos, destruction, fear, everything. The people were forced into Satanic worship, and those who even showed emotion of not accepting it were slaughtered in front of the whole town. It was horrible.

"Enough was enough." God declared. "If my angels cannot harm these villains who are terrorizing the human race, then I shall make my own."

And so, God did. These were known as the Immortali of God. However, the numbers were small for the God's Immortali, because the Devil's Immortali had an advantage over everything. Most were quickly killed when revived. However, some were lucky and hid. They all started to form a small army. They trained. They fought small skirmishes that would not alert Julian. The small army is working well. The human race were desperate to support the Immortali of God as well.

The army is still small. However, the ranks have been piling up relatively quickly. Pretty soon, the army wouldh ave the power to rise up and rebel.

God's Immortalis Introduction:
You wake up in a dark room, your whole body aching. You try to remember what happened, and you remember something. you were dead. However, you feel as if your tale is not over, and death is just a transition. Somehow, you were right.

Three doors appear in front of you. One is blood red and in flames, eminating pain, despair, fear, anger, and sadness. Another was pure snow white. It had an aura of kindness, joy, and love. These doors lead to heaven and hell, but they are both closed. The third door only showed your body in the area you died. This is the way back to life. However, as you try to go to earth, an orb appears.

It was like a little animal. It circled you, examining you like it was curious of you. Suddenly, it flies into your chest and disappears before you could move. You feel more powerful, and you run into the door to earth.

You wake up in your own body, still feeling more powerful. You decide to try it out. You find out you can manipulate a certain element (or certain elements), change your physical age, and sense the powers of others like you. But, in your moment of happyness, you knew that you couldn't be found out, since the knights would come and kill you again. However, you remember that there is a small rebel army, just like you.

All you have to do is find a commanding officer and hope that you get to the army without being followed.

Devil's Immortali Introduction:
You had died. You had risen. You had pledged your life and loyalty to king Julian so you can fullfill your greed and desires. Whatever you do, you must make sure it isn't for treason. King Julian is out of your level. He cannot be defeated. Just follow his orders and your life will be full of beautiful women if you had lust, feasts for every meal if you unecessarily hunger, money if you had greed filling your soul, living targets to satisfy your bloodlust, anything you want. Just don't backstab him, because Julian will always be bhind you with a knife in hand.

About Immortali:
Immortali are grouped into two sides: God and Devil.

God's Immortali want to protect humanity, no matter what the cost. The Devil's Immortali want to kill humans and cause chaos. They also want anarchy, but ruling with an iron fist helps too. As God's Immortali, you meet with Asher and help him on quests to kill Devil's Immortali. You train, you fight, you learn, you survive alongside Asher. He won't let anything happen to his allies, let alone his friends.

As a Devil's Immortalis, your job is to keep the humans crying and keep them scared of you and the tyrant. You love to kill, and that's what you will do. You serve under the king. You take his orders and follow them carefully.

Whatever side you choose, you still have the same powers: age manipulation, elemental manipulation, and sensing auras that are anything but normal. You also have a weapon of choice, and maybe a sub weapon. You cannot be killed by anything, not even by Time or Nature. The only thing that can kill you are angels, demons, other Immortali, Immotrali's ashes (they must be imbued into weapons; Immortali's weapons already have that effect), Satan, and God Himself.

Elements to control:
Light
Darkness
Wind
Lightning
Earth
Ice
Fire
Water

Each element has its own aspects (i.e. Wind=Speed, Earth=Strength, Darkness=Illusions). Your powers must come from how you view and understand the elements. God's Immortali can obtain the element of light, and obtaining that element won't count towards the element count. Same with Devil's Immortail and darkness.

Opposites:
If you obtain power over darkness, a darkside will manifest within God's Immortali. They will be the opposite of your character, and it will most of the time (sometimes both of you can agree on one thing) side against you. This will also happen to Devil's Immortali when they obtain power over light. The only countermeasure is obtaining your side's element (see the paragraph above). This will make your character have a Yin and a Yang. Your dark/light sides will be either kept in check and only break out if you keep using darkness/light powers repeatedly when you are fatigued. It would be either that, or the opposite will obtain it's own body.

Immortali are grouped into three ranks:
Immortalis: A soul who just got back from the dead. They can master only one element, but can control a second.
Elder Immortalis: A soul who mastered the elements he/she had obtained and has control over a third.
Master Immortalis: A soul who have mastered all three of the elements that they obtained (not counting darkness and light for their respective sides). They have the most experience and wisdom.

All Immortali are injured by: Immortali, Immortali weapons, human weapons that are crafted with the ashed of an Immortali, elements that are manipulated by Immortali. Immortali are immune to: Normal human weapons, humans, diseases, elements of nature not manipulated by Immortali, and being too old to live. It takes several fatal blows to actually kill an Immortalis, so it isn't always a decisive battle.

When, or if, you die, your body slowly starts to turn into shades of black. After that, your body becomes fragile, and it cumbles into ashes that would be blown into he wind. It is unknown where you will go when you die, in heaven, hell, or an eternal purgatory. Maybe there is a seperate one for Immortali, maybe there isn't. Give us a postcard from wherever you are when you get there after you die!

Those ashes can be collected by anyone. They can be forged with weapons to enable you to kill Immortali (just sprinkle some dust into the weapon while it's still being made). If you are a mage, you need to have a LOT of holy water and bathe yourself in it. for angels and demons, their weapons are already blessed by God and the Devil.

You may sign up as an Immortalis (either Devil or God), human, angel, or devil. However, there are restrictions to this. Angels and Demons have weapons and powers to kill Immortali by the time this roleplay starts, and humans can't harm Immortali on their own without imbueing them with Immortali's ashes. When signing up as an Immortali, you MUST be the lowerst rank when the roleplay starts, or I will reject your character sheet.

Remember: THIS IS THE MEDIEVAL AGES. There are only swords, crossbows, I'll allow magic, and longbows. There aren't any guns or mansions or cars or such. Just horses for transportation. That, or your feet.

The Tale of the Immortalis: The Beginning

This is the auto-generated OOC topic for the roleplay "The Tale of the Immortalis: The Beginning"

Remember: IMMORTALI RANK ONLY WHEN ACCEPTING CHARACTERS. I allowed a select few to come in as a higher rank in my last attempt at this roleplay, but I won't do that in this one. I will also roleplay as the tyrant, so that I won't lose pivotal characters when their creators lost interest or something.

Any questions? Ask here. Reservations? Made here or in the PM. I'll put in a list of the remaining spots. If there aren't any for the Immortali, choose angels, demons, or a human (they can be one of those RPG classes too! I won't make them useless or something. If you want them to be normal, that's also fine.)
