Introduction
The Overworld (Heaven)
The Medium (Earth)
and The Demon Realm (Hell)
These three Kingdoms emit an energy which forms a seal that contains a great and dark power. In order for this energy to be emitted properly, the Kingdoms must be kept in balance. The ones who oversee this balance are The Guardians, great beings without definite shape and almost infinite power. Only the Guardians know of The balance, and what it's purpose is.
However in the Demon Realm all is not well. There is a lack of resources and the Realm has begun to get over crowded. There are murmurs of a plan, a dangerous plan. The Demon lord knows of these murmurs, for he too has thought of the possibility. An invasion of The Medium. Surely if The Demon Realm were to go to war with the Humans they would succeed. The Humans even though they possessed strength, would not be able to withstand the Demons assault.
The Overworld watches eagerly, if the Demon Realm were to attack the Medium, they would be weakened greatly, leaving them vulnerable. The Overworld could finally be rid of its long time rival. The balance is threatened.
The Guardians have decided that they can not let this happen. So they have called a gathering of the Kingdom's leaders:
The leader of the Overworld: The Overseer.
The Lord of the Demon Realm: The Demon Lord
and The protector of The Medium: The Shield Bearer.
Through this council it has been decided: The Demon Lord's daughter shall marry a human, in order to establish peaceable relations between the Demon Realm and The Medium. Thus the Demon Princess has been sent to The Medium with her personal guard in search of man she deems suitable. The Shield Bearer has promised the Council that the Human Male she decides on will be granted a great power, in order to become the next Shield Bearer.
However, there are those who disagree with the Council's decision. These individuals, intent on having the war, set out to eliminate the Princess and any Human Male she gets close to, ignorant of the consequences of what will happen.

Reviews
Kurokiku wrote:The overall premise of the RP is in some senses a stereotypical arranged-marriage story, but the creation of an alternate world and supernatural elements gives it the potential to be different from others of its kind. Unfortunately, the plot, which seems to promise political intrigue and adventure on the grandest of scales, never really lives up to its potential. To be frank, the rest of the story gets bogged down in the romance, which on its own is not compelling enough to carry the tale. It is clear what the characters are endeavoring to /do/, and to a certain degree why, and it’s not overly complicated (a plus), but it get close to being too simple. The characters themselves have potential: in-story, they are all different from each other and some of the dynamics have the promise of being really funny or dramatic. I for example enjoyed the argument between the princess and her bodyguard in the beginning. These little moments generally get passed over in favor of things happening mostly between or relating to the couples and are only occasionally shown in others. So while there was a good amount of /potential/ for humor and drama or meaningful interaction outside the pairs, in practice it mostly only happens between the characters who aren’t in the pairs to begin with. It would have been really nice to see, for example, the male lead interact with the Princess’s bodyguard. They both seemed to be pretty no-nonsense, and might have had interesting friction if they disagreed, or maybe they might have been similar enough to get along. The posts themselves generally stick to grammatical and spelling rules, though they do tend to get short and “tell” rather than “show.” There is little appeal to senses, and most of each post is devoted to dialogue and some direct action or possibly thought. Instead of just saying “she looked at this,” it might have been useful to describe what she saw and how that influenced her next action. There are characters, and there is a world, but sometimes those things were a little too separate from each other. There were a few issues regarding formatting, mostly that several pieces of dialogue and actions would be included in the same paragraph rather than being separated. For the most part, though, the writing was clear and understandable, and served to further the story.

Meanwhile...
"Fucking failure!" A goblin roared smashing Cain's face against a counter. They then threw him to the floor. "He had friends! The princess was with him!" Cain roared as he fell. "It's one ex card master, and maybe a few others. He was your biggest threat, not some stupid whore and her guards!" The goblin continued. "You will go there again, and you won't fail us this time or we'll kill you!" The goblin roared stomping on the demons stomach. "Fine..." Cain gasped.
Back in the human realm...
Jack found himself kicking down the door to the abandoned house. "I have your takeout..." He growled, following Cerberus into the kitchen. He then of course found two very fine angels standing over his new boss. "So whats the story here?" He asked confused.

Looking closer at the dog who was with him, she realized that this was the fabled Jack about whom so much she had heard, that Cain so very hated. She didn't see anything wrong with him. He wasn't tearing off kitten heads or anything. Maybe Cain just didn't like him because he had a dog. Fate patted the dog on the head, then corrected her previous error.
"Get out. this is none of your under-worldly concern. And if it is, then can you please just pretend it isn't? We are expecting company, and I really don't want any bloodshed on my nice new carpet" she said motioning down. she wasn't kidding. She had actually gotten a new rug for the apartment they were in- the old one was much too tattered.

"Nice to see you too Cain!" Jack replied sarcastically. Cain lunged forward, wobbly from his previous beating from his boss, and still slightly impaired by the earlier poison. Jack, with his legs weighted by the summonings, turned and grinned. Cain threw the first punch, which Jack easily reflected and countered with a kick to the chest. The demon slid back, his feet being slick, and slammed against a wall. "This is just like in the mines!" He roared.
"The hellfire mines?" Jack asked as Cain lunged at him. "Yeah! Remember? The ones you abandoned me in?" he roared throwing a drunken punch. Jack leaned back and narrowly dodged it. "I was called away by the boss!" He protested pushing his once best friend back. "Lies! The boss told me he never saw you again!" Cain roared rushing at him again. Jack ducked under his next punch and pirouetted behind his foe, landing a solid kick on him, sending him sprawling into the other room.
"I went and saw boss after that, I told him I was quitting." Jack growled. Cain growled and rose to his feet rushing back into the kitchen. "Boss would never lie to me!" he roared. Jack blocked his attacks and grabbed him by the collar of his vest. "But I was, and still will be your best freind." Jack replied. "Would I lie to you?"

Melinda began to groan. Her head ached. Realizing someone was carrying her she tried to move but couldn't. Who is this?
Shit. Fate hurry. She is beginning to wake up. Iris decided to go to the only place she could. A place deep in the woods underground. Fate would know of it so she didn't worry. She looked around for a certain tree with two angel wings carved in it. Finally she saw it and hurried in. The trunk of the tree was a stair case that led underground. When they got all the way down she began to chain Melinda to a table. "Wake up little Princess."
Melinda could finally move but her hands and legs felt heavy. Looking at her hands she saw chains. "Who are you?" She saw the wings that she had heard before.
"Hmmm I guess names count for something. I am Iris." She smiled at Melinda sweetly but with a hint of menace. "We just have one more person to introduce. But she hasn't come yet." Iris began to cut Melinda's legs little by little. Watching the blood trick down.
Melinda flinched at the sudden cuts. She wanted to ask what the angel wanted with her but she already knew she wanted her death. "Killing me will just bring war between our realms."
"Not if we make it look like one of your own kind killed you." She laughed.
Melinda looked at Iris with horror. Not knowing what will happen next.

He watched as Helena worked and deduced that it was fine but something bugged him.
"Alright but who laid the poison? Jack set up some monkey things to check the perimeter before he went to sleep. If any of them saw anything he'd know."
Jake walked to the living room speaking before he entered. "Jack did your three littl..." The chair he had been sleeping in was now empty and Jake had a pretty good idea why. "Helena i think we have a problem."

My noise! she thought, happy
The sounds had reached the wolf, the sounds she controlled and was always, at some level, emitting. But that means the thing is rational, even if it was just that noise she realized, cocking her head now, a perfect mimic of the wolf. She used he noise to calm it, and told it its master was evil. She explained this to the wolf, but the wolf responded with what seemed like a chuckle. She stood then, not really that worried about it, and began to leave. She overheard the two arguing on the way out.
Thats why he hates him? well that makes no bloody sense. Oh well.
she decided to leave without contributing to the fray. She took of speedily after iris, her head devoid of thought.
Helena looked at Jake, and followed him down the hall. "No. I actually think that he's okay- if that man is in a fight with someone, there is wreckage. This place is spotless, he just went out for a bite. I hope." she bit her lip and looked at Jake. She honestly did not believe her own words.

Iris grew impatient. Where the heck is Fate? She got bored of cutting Melinda. Hmmm maybe talking to her might be entertaining. "I heard about this David guy. Don't you feel like your messing him up his life by entering it?" She said, her tone hard.
Melinda looked at Iris and sighed. So now she is choosing to talk to me? Looking away she answered. "I didn't want to choose any human. I didn't even choose him. He has been chosen for me supposedly. Entering his life...wasn't what I planned.....Humans are nothing to me. I am doing this for my people." Her tone grew distant.
Iris laughed. She didn't believe her one bit. "I dont believe you. You are with two humans. From what I have heard you even tried protecting them." She cut Melinda's arm as her tone hardened. "Dont lie to me. Do you care for this human?"
Melinda bit her lip as she was cut. The cut was deep that the blood soaked her shirt. She knew she would live. Tactical bi*** is making me stay weak by loosing blood. Deciding to answer honestly she answered. "I care about him and I will protect him. Making his life this way, filled with hardships, hurts me but there's nothing I can do. He has to come with me. He has been chosen." She stared at Iris with her cold golden eyes.
Iris took pleasure in looking at her expressions. So much to toy with. "Well then I am sure you as a Princess will greatly sacrifice yourself for the humans. Since you care so much about them."
"I care for my people. I will die for my people. I will prevent war between the realms. It falls on me and my friends but it will be done." She said closing her eyes. No matter what happened she knew that things will turn out good in the end.
