Introduction
Project Harvester:
The King of Sor's life was nearly taken by an assassin. Upon further investigation it turns out the escaped assassin worked for an organization known as Seed, a powerful illusive group of warriors hired by unknown villains to end the King's life. A Senator, and former Knight, Aden Malkini has a plan to defeat this organization, a plan known as Project Harvester. He plans to collect the best warriors from across the great capital city of Sor, from the greatest Knight heroes to the lowest of moral=less mercenaries, and combined them into one unit who'll operate above the law and whose only goal is to defeat Seed.
You are called to Malkini's meeting for one reason or another, as a warrior interested in joining Project Harvester and the organization it hopes to create.
Introduction: A History of Our Worlds
The planets and worlds have gone through much age, being settled and resettled over the course of time. The Helexicon Empire, a galactic super-power which rose from the southern planets in the late 1700's, that being 1700 years after the destruction of the Phoenix Empire which once ruled the worlds. The Empire's reach stretched far as it grew, and in the northern lands, conquered in campaigns in the 1900's, the Empire's only power is through the Knights, a force of all Phoenix guards that enforce the Helexicon rule and authority in the region. The Phoenix, since the dawn of written history, were a threat to civilization. They were humans, like all others, only they could bend the elements to their will. The Treaty of the Crosses in 1450 was a written agreement signed by all reigning systems at the time that all Phoenix citizens would be either killed or imprisoned on the mountains of the planet Bao, where they lived alone in the cold. In the year 1892, the Helexicon Empire, which had been growing in the south, sent agents to Bao. They unleashed the Phoenix, dressed in silver armor and capes, on the north. And the Dormans, the Neahians, and the Bakos fell to the power of the Phoenix Knights and the Helexicon Empire. A hundred year reign began of violence and oppression on the land. Only one world resisted the Phoenix, the holy world of the Matran, who formed an army, under the watchful eye of their God, and fought back. The Phoenix, though more powerful, were severely outnumbered by the commoners, and in the North, every Phoenix Knights, and any family of theirs, were hunted and killed. The Common folk had won. The Helexicon Empire fractured and dissolved, in its wake new systems, loyal to the Matran. In one of these systems, the Sora System, the Knights, an order once loyal to the Helexicon and restricted to Phoenix, was now an order loyal to the Sora System and was open to all men and women born within the system. It is now the year 2250, and the Sora System has prospered into a imperial republic constantly expanding. The Church of Sor has been founded, and for the first time since the Helexicon Empire, Sorillian Phoenix's are no longer hunted.

The Legionnaires marched down the dune as beside them Lord Wanksor Opert and a Knight General road on horseback. "Good lord," Opert commented as they approached. Before them was the massive outline of a hole, filled to the brim with hard rock. It stood out among the sand. "Our reports say a week ago there was some sort of ruin where we now stand," The General frowned as he hoped down from his horse onto the circle of rock. "Now just this."
Opert shrugged. "Well, one less place for the Pagan's to worship, I suppose." He patted the man on the back. "Thank you for the conquest, General. At last we are at peace." As Opert walked away to celebrate with the victorious troops the General remained, frowning at the strange rock circle. Things did not just disappear. "This was a pit," He whispered to himself as he glanced down. Opert turned with a cocked eyebrow. "This was a pit, this rock made the ruins... it filled it up. Something sucked it down and compressed it until it filled up."
"...A pit that size would have to massively deep, General. It's ludicrous," Opert muttered.
The General glanced at Opert fearfully. "It'd have to go straight down to the fires of the earth. This isn't a pit, my Lord. This is a tomb."
Opert gave the man a bored expression and shrugged. "May they rest in peace."

The Ethic lay on it's side in a stone hangar, deep underground. It's door was open. Down a tunnel from it in a small room Lun and the others that the Ethic had managed to collect lay in beds, their wounds healing. None had yet woken. Tormand frowned as he knelt down beside Lun's unconscious form. "Hello, former Emperor Lun," He whispered. Lun's eyes remained closed. Tormand glanced over the man and sighed. "So you tried to kill me..." He continued as he stood and began to walk toward the doorway. He reached out and turned the knob for the gas light. "That was a mistake." The light went out.

I simply wanted to stop by the OOC of this RP, and just say that even though i dont have a part in the story of this AMAZING world, im reading avidly, and am always checking in to see who is joining. This story is incredibly gripping, and the maker of this RP has an incridable mind to throw this together. To all who have a character in this RP, i say good work! And keep it up! :D

Sorry, only race here is human. If you want, you could be a Phoenix, a human with elemental abilities. Though, I suppose there are the mutationals, but they're pretty much completely animalistic monsters.

Loxaerion wrote:Hey, wow. This role play looks very promising. I am very interested, but before I create a character... About the level of technology in this role play's setting. The map seems to suggest that the inhabitants of the role play world are capable of space travel (?), is that right, and could a created character use a gun? A laser gun, in fact?
Also, I'm a little confused about the back story. The Phoenix people were once a mighty empire until they were decimated by the Helexicon Empire. I imagine then, that the Phoenix would harbor some form of grudge against the Helexicon Empire, but they were later "unleashed" by the latter against the North...?
On a side note, while on the subject of the Phoenix, are the Phoenix's ability to bend the elements to their will hereditary? Or perhaps it's a random mutation in the unlucky children of unlucky parents? How do the people hunt down the Phoenix - if they are similar in appearance to normal humans?
Considering the "II" in the title of this role play... is it that this role play is a sequel?
Sorry for the many questions.I just want to be very sure before I make a character here.
They don't have laser guns, their gunnery is actually pretty basic and industrial like revolvers and rifles. And their spaceships have some sort of space cannons... it doesn't make a lot of sense, I'm going to be honest with you. And the Phoenix weren't decimated by the Helexicon, they were decimated by other civilization 1700 years before the Helexicon came and were imprisoned. The Helexicon freed them and used them as a tool to help them conquer the north-east. And yeah, Phoenixness is hereditary.
It is a sequel, but it won't be hampered down by previous backstory. Everything starts off fresh.
