OOC Notes
The Ae'Magi had so many spells and so much power working in his castle that the day Aralorn escaped her last encounter with the Ae'Magi had her nearly exposing everything right down to her favorite toy as a child. The fear that she was that close to saying it had her panicing and when the Ae'Magi had gone to bed she'd fled through a passage beneath the castle and shifted into a sparrow and flew until she'd reached home. The first day back she'd been examined by Rin's personal medicine man and determined she was alright, but she feared she'd been exposed to the magic for too long and something was wrong with her. News came the second day that the Prince of Ren had vanished and the Spymaster had inducted her to seek him out. It was said the Ae'Magi's assassin shoto had attacked the Prince and failed with his death and the Prince was said to have been the next in line for the throne. If he was not returned in a weeks time someone else could take it, everyone knew the Ae'Magi wanted it. And he was now strong enough in power to take it, the only thing keeping him at bay was he needed the Prince dead first. With this information Aralorn was to leave at first light and travel first to the Land of Myr where the were creatures lived and see if they knew anything. Once she found the Prince it was her job as well as the Mercenaries known as the Anthran Alliance to bring him back alive. His abilities of immunity to magic would ensure the safety of the throne.
Turning around Aralorn went about packing lightly for her trip and reaching the small table near her took up a small vial containing a blue liquid. Bringing it to her lips she'd sucked it down with little hesitation and set the vial back down. The taste was bitter like dill weed, but it allowed her to think clearly. Sitting on her bed now she glanced at the window once more. The sun was setting and soon she'd meet with the others at the supper table to discuss their route to Myr. She was somewhat antsy to be heading out, she felt she couldn't sit still so rising she exited her room and slowly made her way through the hallway, down the stairs and into the dining hall. The servants were still getting things ready, so she detoured and headed to the library. There was a fascinating book there that had information the were creatures, their cultures and such. She didn't like going in somewhere blind. Entering the library she dug around until she found the book and taking a seat in one of the Spymasters comfortable chairs she opened the book and began reading. The dinner bell rang indicating she had at least twenty more minutes before she had to be there.

Aralorn did not wait to be told a second time she rose from her chair and without a glanced back walked out of the dining hall, once in the main hallway she took off running down the narrow hall and up the long set of stairs to the second floor where she slowed to a walk and entered her room. It was simple but efficient. Taking up her pack she began filling it with the items she'd need for her trip. She'd already decided on a destination and that was the Land of Myr. She'd heard about the were creatures that lived there in their own harmonious existence. And perhaps she could hire one to help her track the Prince. Once she had her things ready she set out, climbing onto the back of her father's old war horse Shadar she kicked him into a gallop and left Sianim behind. She rode long and stopped briefly to rest the horse and let him feed before riding off again. She rode until she reached the outer territory of Myr, sliding off Shadar she knew she couldn't just ride in. Removing her pack she nuzzled Shadar. "Alright boy you stay here it's all water from here" he snorted in response and trotted off to enjoy some fresh grass. Setting her pack over her shoulders she set on down the long winding path that would take her to the docks. There she was met by a werecat guard who allowed her passage once she revealed who she was and rowed her across to Myr himself.
When they docked she was ushered to the main hall where she met the leader of the werebeasts, Thilen. Remembering to keep her gaze low she introduced herself. "Leader of the werebeasts I am Aralorn of Sianim I came seeking information of a young man who perhaps has washed up on your banks. Have you any news of such a person?" she kept it simple. The leader approached her, his nostrils flaring as he took in her scent."I may or may not know of this creature you speak of Aralorn of Sianim. What is his worth to you?" Aralorn thought about it and then replied. "He is worth his weight in gold. If he is here and well I can return him to his rightful place. On the throne of Ren and you shall be justly rewarded."Thilen grunted brushing past her only to snarl and pin her against the wall. "And what of you Aralorn, shape shifter what is your worth?" she didn't struggle, only clutched his hands and gasped for air. "Worthless compared to the Prince, now where is he?" Thilen laughed releasing her. "Look for him in the dungeon if it suits you."
OOC Notes
Now that he had returned he had learned about the slave that had escaped. Theon had been suspicious towards her, since she arrived in the castle of his master. It was not because he was worried about someone offering herself or himself as a servant to the Archmage. This happened more frequently during the last few days and weeks. Common people always tried to stay on the winning side of a war that was occurring, even if it was a secret one. Those that came to seek shelter in return for their freedom usually didn't think they had much choice, so they were closer to the truth than those nobles. However this specific one looked different to Theon. It looked like there was another aura veiling and protecting her, as if she wore the skin of another. He didn't need to inform the Ae'Magi about this, his master of course already knew about it. For a reason the wise and powerful man had decided to work slowly on her, taking her mind over with slow soothing spells, rather than by force. Theon wasn't the one to question these methods and as he was away could do nothing against the escape of the shapeshifter. He avoided to bring up the topic around the Ae'Magi, Theon knew how furious his master could get. Instead he had waited for his orders, till the Archmage was ready to speak to him. Finally did the soon-to-be lord of Ren entrust him with delivering the orders to pursue the escapee to the Uriah Assassin. Even if it was just a simple errand, Theon had taken it from his master, so he wouldn't have to think about that shapeshifter anymore
After some time of walking through the wide halls and tight corridors of the castle, Theon found himself in the area that was given to the Assassins. It featured not only their quarters, but also a training hall, a dining room and several other such chambers. The rooms, if you want to call them that, of the servants were two levels lower, just above the wide dungeon. Theon usually wouldn't bother to walk through such a large building, but the Archmage had forbidden him to use his magic here, it would have been suppressed by the spells anyways. Theon took the time to walk to attune himself to his surrounding. For him it was like walking through a palace of light, every wall shinned from the magic within, the small orbs that provided illumination were like stars to him. It was confusing for the first few hours after his return. Those mansions and castles of the nobles might be decorated with gold and other costly minerals, but they were nothing compared to the beauty of the castle here at Dirthwill, at least to the eyes of Theon. He had no problems seeing the surroundings in a normal environment, he had trained to sense the faint of magic, even in dead stone and wood. He may lack the sight that others have, but he could still see the world, just different than others would. He looked around, through the simple doors and walls that tried to conceal what was inside. Again Theon felt himself reminded that he was now at home again, as his senses weren't able to penetrate the walls protected by the power of the Ae'Magi. He sighed as he walked with slow steps over to the room of leader of the Uriah. These assassins were little more than the others that followed the Archmage, but still Theon had developed some sort of respect towards them. They were of the few that had seen the might of his master in advance and than aligned themselves with him, much like Theon himself. As he reached the door, he knocked and waited for not even a second before speaking.
"I bring orders from our master. He wishes for you to find the slave that had escaped, you shouldn't fail him. You may contact your fellow Uriah, but be quick."
Waiting for a reply, Theon stood in front of the door silently. He did not bother to wait for the door to open and he wouldn't demand for the assassin to open it. He was only ordered to inform him.

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim
Aside from that I am missing Myr, or is it just a landscape in one of the other nations? :P

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim
1. How big is Ren? How big are the other kingdoms? Maybe compared our worldly nations and areas, or past ones. That's more a question of interest, as it would clarifiy first how far you need to travel by normal means (about), how widespread the influence of other nobles is. From what I got until now is that the other "factions" are mostly states with a single bigger city (+maybe a few village and smaller towns), is that right?
2. How are the other states officially aligned towards each other and specially towards Ren and Dirthwill? Are they like vassals to Ren? I could imagine that Thyre and Myr wouldn't look at each other to well, as you wrote about a war not to long ago.
3. Only because I am having my hours of curiosity, since it wouldn't affect my character anyways. Are there set deities for the world? Do they grant mortals a part of their power? How is each of them worshiped etc. (Not that Theon would care, the Archmage is the closest that would come to a god for him^^)
Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim
I hope that helped and don't be afraid to ask either here or in pm about something
Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim
Also, just to have a basic overview on politics, what is it that you had in mind?
From what I see is Ren the biggest nation out there, why else would the Ae'Magi go through all that to take just a minor kingdom else?
How are the other countries aligned with Ren and/or the Ae'Magi?
^In this case specifically Sianim. I guess it's public lore, or at least street lore that thieves, spies and the like have a strong position within the city. How prominent is the Spymaster in that? Is he more like the face of the organization or the secretive leader? If they are not aligned to Ren,
I just want/need to know these things before I write a few of my next posts, once the Archmage allows Theon to lay his hands on the Spymaster.
If you don't want to answer this questions in general, please say so, if you don't want anyone to know, just send me a PM. I just though that Theon (and surely the Archmage, should that Crow finally appear) had a rather good insight on existing alliances, basic lore of hierarchies and a wide area of spies (whether willing or not).
I just want to know more about the world we are playing in when I am playing the evil guys' personal intriguer.

Anyways, yeah, it's rather sad that the people who joined either forgot about us or were just unable to post or put their sheets up till now. We'll all just try to think positive and hope that it will start to move smoother soon.

Of course, I have to discuss that with the player of Galen in the end.

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim
Do you know if the player of the prince is still with us? It would be pretty bad if we start without him. Do you already have a reason, why he lost his memories? My bio provides a reason, why he could have run away from the castle, but not the amnesia.
