# Land of Myr, 2010-12-26 01:22:46, as written by Shavnia_Velmount
The weather was fair today, but in Sianim it was dry and hot. There were a limitation of vegitation with the exceptions of the crops some of the farmers were growing in the surrounding areas. The rest was a red clay like dirt that if barefoot one would have stained feet and often the area was tormented by sand storms, but still people flocked here and built a city that was now a place where thieves, mercenaries and the like training to be the best spies and fighters. Standing on the balcony of the Spymaster's mansion Aralorn looked off in the distance as thoughts filled her mind. It was only three days ago she'd gotten away from the Ae'Magi's castle and returned here. She shivered at the memories of being caged like an animal. She'd been sent to spy on him in hopes to gather information on a plot to kill the Prince of Ren, but nothing of the sort ever came up. Taken in as a slave, which was a common thing in these parts she'd been sucked into a world of deep dark magic and the moment she'd stepped foot inside his castle the magic began its work on her. Memories flashed and she sighed when she remembered witnessing the Ae'Magi torturing then controlling young magicians and stealing their power only to make himself more powerful. Suddenly she felt the cold fingers touching her warm flesh and she had to shake her head to rid herself of the feeling.

The Ae'Magi had so many spells and so much power working in his castle that the day Aralorn escaped her last encounter with the Ae'Magi had her nearly exposing everything right down to her favorite toy as a child. The fear that she was that close to saying it had her panicing and when the Ae'Magi had gone to bed she'd fled through a passage beneath the castle and shifted into a sparrow and flew until she'd reached home. The first day back she'd been examined by Rin's personal medicine man and determined she was alright, but she feared she'd been exposed to the magic for too long and something was wrong with her. News came the second day that the Prince of Ren had vanished and the Spymaster had inducted her to seek him out. It was said the Ae'Magi's assassin shoto had attacked the Prince and failed with his death and the Prince was said to have been the next in line for the throne. If he was not returned in a weeks time someone else could take it, everyone knew the Ae'Magi wanted it. And he was now strong enough in power to take it, the only thing keeping him at bay was he needed the Prince dead first. With this information Aralorn was to leave at first light and travel first to the Land of Myr where the were creatures lived and see if they knew anything. Once she found the Prince it was her job as well as the Mercenaries known as the Anthran Alliance to bring him back alive. His abilities of immunity to magic would ensure the safety of the throne.

Turning around Aralorn went about packing lightly for her trip and reaching the small table near her took up a small vial containing a blue liquid. Bringing it to her lips she'd sucked it down with little hesitation and set the vial back down. The taste was bitter like dill weed, but it allowed her to think clearly. Sitting on her bed now she glanced at the window once more. The sun was setting and soon she'd meet with the others at the supper table to discuss their route to Myr. She was somewhat antsy to be heading out, she felt she couldn't sit still so rising she exited her room and slowly made her way through the hallway, down the stairs and into the dining hall. The servants were still getting things ready, so she detoured and headed to the library. There was a fascinating book there that had information the were creatures, their cultures and such. She didn't like going in somewhere blind. Entering the library she dug around until she found the book and taking a seat in one of the Spymasters comfortable chairs she opened the book and began reading. The dinner bell rang indicating she had at least twenty more minutes before she had to be there.

# Land of Myr, 2011-01-03 10:26:41, as written by Dandan
Neit stretches and yawns. His clothes muddy from the current sleeping spot. He had choose to sleep outside. He enjoyed being alone he said it was quieter that way. He looked up and the sun nearly blinded him and he stretched once again. He was hired to find a young man who didn't know himself or was it a young man pretending to be someone else. He couldn't remember. He wasn't the thinker of this group he left that to the others and he would make it a bloody mess. He walked back toward civilization to see what was going on today.

# City of Sianim, 2011-01-04 23:50:53, as written by Shavnia_Velmount
When the bell rang a second time a short time later Aralorn set the book down and briskly made her way to the dining hall. Upon entering the room she found Rin the Spymaster already seated and taking a drink of his Osu Juice, when he finished swallowing he waved her to be seated next to him. With quick footsteps she was beside the hair and sitting down with ease. "Master Rin, You wished to see me?" Her beautifully etched eyes cast in his direction as a smile played across his face. "My dear Aralorn I am truly glad you survived the little trip to the Ae'Magi's lands, I feared you'd been discovered and well..." Aralorn lifted a hand to stop him and shook her head. "Wolf made sure I got out of there alive, without his gifts of magic I'd be dead or worse, one of the Ae'Magi's little puppets" Setting her hand back on the table she noticed the look Rin was giving her and it caused her to raise a brow. "Rin, is everything alright?" But Rin was lost for a moment in his own thoughts before he snapped out of it and proceeded to bring his hands up and rest his chin on his palms. "It seems the Ae'Magi has issued a claim on the throne if the Prince of Ren does not claim it within three days times. Reports state the Prince went on a rampage and killed two of his own guards, then fled for his life. After that no one has seen the Prince." Rin gave her a look that had her rolling her eyes. "And since you can't have me here if the Ae'Magi comes you want me to seek him out and return him to Ren?" Rin nodded. "You're also the best for the job, I can't send anyone else since I don't trust anyone else." Aralorn sighed and smirked. "I'll do it, but when I return and this is all over I want a vacation." Rin laughed at this and nodded. "Very well, now you haven't much time you must get going I'm sure the Ae'Magi's personal servant will be arriving soon to ask questions about the escaped slave. Off with you my dear" he waved his hand and ushered her away.

Aralorn did not wait to be told a second time she rose from her chair and without a glanced back walked out of the dining hall, once in the main hallway she took off running down the narrow hall and up the long set of stairs to the second floor where she slowed to a walk and entered her room. It was simple but efficient. Taking up her pack she began filling it with the items she'd need for her trip. She'd already decided on a destination and that was the Land of Myr. She'd heard about the were creatures that lived there in their own harmonious existence. And perhaps she could hire one to help her track the Prince. Once she had her things ready she set out, climbing onto the back of her father's old war horse Shadar she kicked him into a gallop and left Sianim behind. She rode long and stopped briefly to rest the horse and let him feed before riding off again. She rode until she reached the outer territory of Myr, sliding off Shadar she knew she couldn't just ride in. Removing her pack she nuzzled Shadar. "Alright boy you stay here it's all water from here" he snorted in response and trotted off to enjoy some fresh grass. Setting her pack over her shoulders she set on down the long winding path that would take her to the docks. There she was met by a werecat guard who allowed her passage once she revealed who she was and rowed her across to Myr himself.

When they docked she was ushered to the main hall where she met the leader of the werebeasts, Thilen. Remembering to keep her gaze low she introduced herself. "Leader of the werebeasts I am Aralorn of Sianim I came seeking information of a young man who perhaps has washed up on your banks. Have you any news of such a person?" she kept it simple. The leader approached her, his nostrils flaring as he took in her scent."I may or may not know of this creature you speak of Aralorn of Sianim. What is his worth to you?" Aralorn thought about it and then replied. "He is worth his weight in gold. If he is here and well I can return him to his rightful place. On the throne of Ren and you shall be justly rewarded."Thilen grunted brushing past her only to snarl and pin her against the wall. "And what of you Aralorn, shape shifter what is your worth?" she didn't struggle, only clutched his hands and gasped for air. "Worthless compared to the Prince, now where is he?" Thilen laughed releasing her. "Look for him in the dungeon if it suits you."

# The Ae'Magi's Castle in Dirthwill, 2011-01-08 01:35:22, as written by Tsoibe
Theon had just returned a few days ago from his mission in Ren. He hadn't been there only for the assassination of the royal family, there were many other things to attend to. He had to make sure that the remaining nobles would be on the side of his master, once he might choose to take the throne. Sadly the time wasn't now, they had to wait until the corpse of the prince had been found, or at least that he was missing for quite some time. Soon... soon would be the day when his lord could claim his rightful possession, the throne of Ren. Theon smiled at the thought, it took them long enough to come closer to that goal, but the death of the king and the queen was a big step. He was sure that once the Archmage would sit on the throne, he could purge the world of all those unruly insects that didn't deserve to crawl over this realm. Those so-called nobles were a part of this bunch of insects, even if they would label themselves above the rest. If Theon would have got to choose, he would have someone else sent to the meetings with these arrogant bastards, but the Archmage had entrusted this upon him. He felt honored that the Archmage viewed only him as trustful and skilled enough for this task. The meeting went relatively smooth and if they started to turn difficult... well, Theon had that corrected. You couldn't imagine how fast one of these changed his perspective, when he felt a blade on their throat. The promises of power and riches the Ae'Magi made to many of them were great, but little did they know, that most of them wouldn't live to see their reward anyways. These men and women knew nothing about true power or the dire times, they were talking about. Theon would have been more than glad to remind them on their place, but he was ordered to contain himself, so he did... nothing. Nothing more than threatening those that tried to change the arrangements. Surely the Ae'Magi would send out servants to take care of those that would betray their own word, maybe even those that just tried to argue.

Now that he had returned he had learned about the slave that had escaped. Theon had been suspicious towards her, since she arrived in the castle of his master. It was not because he was worried about someone offering herself or himself as a servant to the Archmage. This happened more frequently during the last few days and weeks. Common people always tried to stay on the winning side of a war that was occurring, even if it was a secret one. Those that came to seek shelter in return for their freedom usually didn't think they had much choice, so they were closer to the truth than those nobles. However this specific one looked different to Theon. It looked like there was another aura veiling and protecting her, as if she wore the skin of another. He didn't need to inform the Ae'Magi about this, his master of course already knew about it. For a reason the wise and powerful man had decided to work slowly on her, taking her mind over with slow soothing spells, rather than by force. Theon wasn't the one to question these methods and as he was away could do nothing against the escape of the shapeshifter. He avoided to bring up the topic around the Ae'Magi, Theon knew how furious his master could get. Instead he had waited for his orders, till the Archmage was ready to speak to him. Finally did the soon-to-be lord of Ren entrust him with delivering the orders to pursue the escapee to the Uriah Assassin. Even if it was just a simple errand, Theon had taken it from his master, so he wouldn't have to think about that shapeshifter anymore

After some time of walking through the wide halls and tight corridors of the castle, Theon found himself in the area that was given to the Assassins. It featured not only their quarters, but also a training hall, a dining room and several other such chambers. The rooms, if you want to call them that, of the servants were two levels lower, just above the wide dungeon. Theon usually wouldn't bother to walk through such a large building, but the Archmage had forbidden him to use his magic here, it would have been suppressed by the spells anyways. Theon took the time to walk to attune himself to his surrounding. For him it was like walking through a palace of light, every wall shinned from the magic within, the small orbs that provided illumination were like stars to him. It was confusing for the first few hours after his return. Those mansions and castles of the nobles might be decorated with gold and other costly minerals, but they were nothing compared to the beauty of the castle here at Dirthwill, at least to the eyes of Theon. He had no problems seeing the surroundings in a normal environment, he had trained to sense the faint of magic, even in dead stone and wood. He may lack the sight that others have, but he could still see the world, just different than others would. He looked around, through the simple doors and walls that tried to conceal what was inside. Again Theon felt himself reminded that he was now at home again, as his senses weren't able to penetrate the walls protected by the power of the Ae'Magi. He sighed as he walked with slow steps over to the room of leader of the Uriah. These assassins were little more than the others that followed the Archmage, but still Theon had developed some sort of respect towards them. They were of the few that had seen the might of his master in advance and than aligned themselves with him, much like Theon himself. As he reached the door, he knocked and waited for not even a second before speaking.

"I bring orders from our master. He wishes for you to find the slave that had escaped, you shouldn't fail him. You may contact your fellow Uriah, but be quick."

Waiting for a reply, Theon stood in front of the door silently. He did not bother to wait for the door to open and he wouldn't demand for the assassin to open it. He was only ordered to inform him.

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim

you want me to leave? If so i will

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim

The only way this can be resurrected is if the others ACTUALLY get online long enough to abandon their characters i can bring others in that perhaps WANT to roleplay. I guess multitasking isn't everyone's thing :(

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim

I am sorry to hear that. Yeah, I guess we talked enough about that in the PMs already. I hope to see (well, in a forum way^^) you again some time. Just tell me when you open it up again and I'll join immediately, it looked so promising.

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim

Since only two people that have joined this roleplay have bothered to post. I am officially declaring it closed. All that hard thinking for nothing. So Tsoibe sorry hun I tried and frankly at this point I have nothing else to offer. >.< and I did as you suggested Tsoibe and I didn't get the answers nor the results I was hoping for. If I ever join another forum that is good then I'll give you a heads up.

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim

No sorry forgot to put it in there so i've touched up the map if you click it it should be fixed. and there is now a east and west Anthar. As for siding Ren holds Thyre, Jetaine, Myr and East Anthar.
The cities under the Ae'Magi's influence is West Anthar and Bugere'.
Your neutral territories are Sianim [for now] Vyrl, Nuorda and Detaen.

The deities are similiar to the Greek Gods/Goddess' which are:

The Goddess Politisa [pronounced Po-le-t-c-ia] the Goddess of wisdom, warfare, strategy, heroic endeavor, handicrafts and reason.

The God Zorsk he is God of music, healing, plague, prophecies, poetry, and archery; associated with light, truth and the sun.

The Goddess Pendria is the Goddess of fertility, agriculture, horticulture, grain and harvest.

The Goddess Elera Goddess of love, sexual intercourse, cupids, desire and pleasure.

The God Formorus God of trade, thievery, cunning wiles, language, writing, and diplomacy.

The God Deltius god of sea, rivers, floods, droughts, earthquakes.

The Goddess Atquila Goddess of fire, metalworking, stone masonry, and volcanism.

The Goddess Staesis Goddess of hunt, wilderness, wild animals, plague.

The God Gorshan King of the underdark and God of Death, the dead.

Etrusca Queen of the Heavens and Goddess of marriage, women, childbirth, heirs, kings and empires.

Dagomar King of Gods, Ruler of Valdemyt and God of the sky, weather, thunder, law, order and fate.

The Dark God Chasm Ruler of dark magick
The Light Goddess Atheli [A-Th-e-le]-Ruler of the Light Magick

The only known living Demi God is Vitalia but even Gods and Goddess' there could be a number of spawned Demi God Children.

If this clarifies good, if it confuses I'm sorry o.O' But my brain hurts lol

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim

Maybe I am just doing this to keep you and myself (nah, just you) busy here, but that only answered the first of my question..^^

Aside from that I am missing Myr, or is it just a landscape in one of the other nations? :P

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim

Excellent, now I only have three objects left to be clarified for now:

1. How big is Ren? How big are the other kingdoms? Maybe compared our worldly nations and areas, or past ones. That's more a question of interest, as it would clarifiy first how far you need to travel by normal means (about), how widespread the influence of other nobles is. From what I got until now is that the other "factions" are mostly states with a single bigger city (+maybe a few village and smaller towns), is that right?

2. How are the other states officially aligned towards each other and specially towards Ren and Dirthwill? Are they like vassals to Ren? I could imagine that Thyre and Myr wouldn't look at each other to well, as you wrote about a war not to long ago.

3. Only because I am having my hours of curiosity, since it wouldn't affect my character anyways. Are there set deities for the world? Do they grant mortals a part of their power? How is each of them worshiped etc. (Not that Theon would care, the Archmage is the closest that would come to a god for him^^)

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim

To answer you because it perhaps does need to be known. Ren is in fact the Major Kingdom. It is someone centered and placed tediously around it is Sianim, Myr, Thyre and Jetaine. And Dirthwill is nestled inbetween Sianim and Anthar which is a slightly poverty stricken city. And since Dirthwill is so close to Sianim the Ae'Magi's magic is slowly gaining influence. Sianim though is of course nothing but thieves and spies the best trained. They are known for it and people often the highest bidder seeks out services here. Rin is the Spymaster and although he really holds no political position in Sianim most consider him to be suck and always go to him. Sianim since they are a city filled with thieves and spies they are aligned to truly no one but they like the way things are and prefer that it remain that way. For now they are a neutral territory. I'd like the Ae'Magi's interest in Ren to be sole power over all land. There will later perhaps be a secondary reason for his wishing to take the throne and rule all once Crow gets a feel for his character he and I can discuss it.

I hope that helped and don't be afraid to ask either here or in pm about something

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim

Thanks, thanks. I know I am magnificent :D (just joking)

Also, just to have a basic overview on politics, what is it that you had in mind?
From what I see is Ren the biggest nation out there, why else would the Ae'Magi go through all that to take just a minor kingdom else?
How are the other countries aligned with Ren and/or the Ae'Magi?
^In this case specifically Sianim. I guess it's public lore, or at least street lore that thieves, spies and the like have a strong position within the city. How prominent is the Spymaster in that? Is he more like the face of the organization or the secretive leader? If they are not aligned to Ren, why would they support the prince? do they technically take jobs from all forces?

I just want/need to know these things before I write a few of my next posts, once the Archmage allows Theon to lay his hands on the Spymaster.

If you don't want to answer this questions in general, please say so, if you don't want anyone to know, just send me a PM. I just though that Theon (and surely the Archmage, should that Crow finally appear) had a rather good insight on existing alliances, basic lore of hierarchies and a wide area of spies (whether willing or not).

I just want to know more about the world we are playing in when I am playing the evil guys' personal intriguer.

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim

Tis true but so far I feel those that have taken the time to create their characters did so well. I was slightly proud to see such good profiles and I don't want them wasted. And btw Tsoibe your post was awesome ^.^

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim

well unfortunetly most the people on here are teens like this

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim

Hey, I'm still here with you... wait that would worry even myself...
Anyways, yeah, it's rather sad that the people who joined either forgot about us or were just unable to post or put their sheets up till now. We'll all just try to think positive and hope that it will start to move smoother soon.

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim

It's really sad that a roleplay about mermaids is off to a better start than my roleplay o.O' I am befuddled on what to do, at this point if characters aren't submitted soon I'm afraid I'll have to open them back up and allow others to partake and get this going, I feel like I'm posting to myself and that makes me sad.

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim

By all means discuss I only hope the other players soon join that have reserved and the others come online and post or I shall be sad once more

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim

That would work well with the poison that Theon gave to the royal family. The magic that delayed, and later increased, the effect on the king and queen, would have no effect on the prince. The poison used makes a person paranoid and also hallucinating that things were closer or further away. Theon might have only heard that the prince had happened to fall, but since he couldn't sense him anyways, might have guessed him dead.

Of course, I have to discuss that with the player of Galen in the end.

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim

The story that plays in my head is while he fighting the two guards he was knocked over the head as he stabbed the last one, stumbling back he fell over the edge of the flat bridge [in reference to the picture] below is a river that flows through all the land. The river then takes him through the land of Myr where he is pulled from the water and cared for, but with no knowledge of who he is they simply cage him.

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim

I was going to wait for the crowded crow to post before, but if I don't see a post from him by tomorrow, I'll just go ahead and start the hunt.

Do you know if the player of the prince is still with us? It would be pretty bad if we start without him. Do you already have a reason, why he lost his memories? My bio provides a reason, why he could have run away from the castle, but not the amnesia.

Re: [OOC] The Unstaked Claim

Alright if at all possible I'd like each person to begin where they are from such as the Merc from Myr starts from Myr and so on. I have one spot open still. Several people who haven't submitted their characters yet. so whomever is on can post now.
