If you don't know the story to this then 1) see the show, its epic 2) research it. The main plot is this: In a town called Mystic Falls there are a group of people, some normal, two not. Stefan and Damon are two vampires who have lived for around 150 years. Stefan comes back to learn more about Elena, who turns out to look much like Katherine, a dead vampire who both he and Damon fell for. Damon eventually returns to torture Stefan's life but after setting sight on Elena is curious about her as well. Along with Damon comes death for he drinks human blood to become more powerful, and since Stefan believes it is wrong to drink human blood he is not as powerful.
We are basing this roleplay off the TV series and will be starting on the first day back to school.
These are the following characters and their writers [the major roles are bolded]:
Elena: As a girl who just lost her parents to a car crash, most would think that she is your average depressed female of the school. Bottling up her emotions inside and in her faithful Diary, Elena works to survive through the school year. She and her brother Jeremy live with Aunt Jenna, their mother's younger sister who doesn't appear to have any clue how to raise children. Though she once was a cheerleader she doesn't enjoy it as much anymore and might just quit. She will be Stefan's lover throughout most of the roleplay.
Stefan: The mysterious stranger who grew up in Mystic Falls. Secretly he is a vampire though longs just to get to know Elena, who happens to be almost identicle to his past love, Katherine, who died by flame. He keeps a journal to write his memories in as well as new things and facts. He is an expert on history and eventually joins the football team at the school. He will be Elena's lover through the roleplay unless a turn of events occurs, such as something in the TV show. Stefan doesn't like to drink from humans and is therefore weak against his brother, Damon. As a vampire he cannot enter someone's personal residence unless invided to come in.
Damon: As the brother of Stefan he has devoted his life to making life miserable for him. He is powerful due to his constant consumption of human blood. He is the monster behind the attacks and killings of several people, though authorities believe it is an animal. Truthfully, even though he develops a relationship with Caroline, he wants Elena for himself but has to destroy her love for Stefan first.
Bonnie: Being the best friend of Elena is Bonnie’s job. She also recently learns that her family comes from the Salem Witches and seems to be developing odd abilities though she keeps them a secret from Elena. She is very headstrong and independent though needs her friends at her side in a time of trouble.
Caroline: Jealous? Very, and Caroline believes the only way to get what she wants is to break down Elena. Though she is close friends with both Elena and Bonnie she grows distant as she develops a relationship with Damon. She eventually learns his secret about being a vampire and will use him to get to Elena.
Matt: Though Matt is the ex-boyfriend of Elena in the story he still watches out for his back. He is a sturdy and charming football player and the brother of Viki. He and Elena were friends growing up but now their relationship is distant, and even though Matt still loves her it is clear she wants Stefan instead. He is suspicious about Stefan and always things there is something wrong about him.
Jeremy: The druggy freshman of the school who also happens to be Elena’s sister. He has a relationship with Viki, one of his clients for drugs, though she hates to show it. He is very jealous of her love for Tyler and eventually seems to have the outs for the football player. Not only does he do drugs but he drinks and is always gloomy and down. All he wants is Viki and that’s clear, but maybe that’s because they had a, if I may keep it clean, one night stand.
Viki: Though she isn’t a leading character in the story Viki is one tough problem for Jeremy. She enjoys getting drugs for him and expresses like of him but is always prancing back to Tyler. She is attacked by Damon though after a sticky situation doesn’t exactly remember it.
Tyler: Alright, don’t mess with this tough guy. He wants Viki to be his own but he is having troubles keeping her with him because of Jeremy. He thinks that Jeremy is a snobby freshman who just wants to get love. Tyler doesn’t seem to express actual love for Viki though he really cares about her. He also has it out for Stefan when he joins the football team.
Aunt Jenna: When her sister died, Jenna took in her two teenage kids Elena and Jeremy. She isn’t very good with kids and doesn’t appear to understand how to help Jeremy with his drug problems, though she isn’t aware of them until after a teacher conference.
Katherine: Many years before Katherine was a lover of both Stefan and Damon. Both brothers longed to be with her, though in the end she chose them both and broke their hearts. She died soon after though is still in the memories of the brothers.

OOC Notes
Dear Diary,
Today is the day I shall return, though returning is one thing my heart isn't set on. I know it has been a while since Mom and Dad died but part of me doesn't want to leave, just wants to remain here in bed with a pen in my hand and you in my other. I might just fall apart on the way to school, pieces of my gently flowing through the air to find themselves trampled and broken once reaching the sodden earth. Though this is a day I shall never forget, I hope to forget its happenings quickly. I must wear a smile, must seem as if nothing as wrong. Because nothing is currently wrong, other than Jeremy the pot head and my breakup with Matt. Just smile... smile? Why does it sound so pathetic..?
Elena looked up from her diary at the clock. Bonnie would arrive soon, though she wasn't exactly sure if she wanted to egt in the car and try to make it through the day. It just seemed like a disaster waiting to happen and she'd be left to stand in the middle of it. With a sigh she closed her diary and threw it into her backpack. Of course she'd be visiting the cemetary after school so she'd need it later. Down the stairs she made her way, a frown in her eyes though head held high as if proud.
The coffee tasted dry on her tongue, even with the other ingrediants she added to try to liven it up. Dark brown eyes drooping a little she pushed her belongings into her bag and moved towards the door, pacing a little as she awaited Bonnie's arrival.

The club was dark, the way I like it. The girl next to me was hopelessly drunk, but I continued to sip mine. Losing taste for it, I led the girl outside.
My fangs slid easily into her neck, the veins on my eyes throbbing like her dying heartbeat. Once she was inches from death, I let go and looked into her eyes. "You don't remember anything. You passed out and woke up in the alley." Her eyes closed and I dissapeared, reappering in front of my old house. The memories. I spat the distaste out of my mouth.
Some other time, I thought. The sun was rising, thank goodness I had on the ring.
