Calliope Germaine
Jessica giggled. The boy was fishing for words. What was it about some teenage boys that became flaggergasted when girls were concerned? She had a feeling that he normally didn't do these things. It was interesting though that he thought about asking Calliope to the movies. Calli wasn't normally one to try and get anyone's attention. Jessica wanted her to get out and do more though. However, this wasn't the right time.
"Well young man, I am afraid I can't allow Calli out this late. However, maybe she can go out with you at a better time. Of course, I don't just want anyone taking my niece out. Could you give me your name at least?" she asked.
Calliope had made eye contact with him and gasped before pulling out of site. Oh she had seen him at times throughout school, but never made eye contact with him. In fact, she rarely did that with anyone now. Seeing Alex though she felt something. She didn't know what it was, but it felt familiar. She looked at her Aunt Jessica and finally got the courage to join her at the door. She slowly walked and peeked around her aunt.
"Aww, Calliope, nice of you to join us. This nice young man wanted to take you to the movies. You said you knew him from school right?" Jessica asked her.
Calliope mere nodded. Go the movies? She never saw that many. Her adoptive father traveled so much that she only saw a handful. And Aunt Jessica only took her to see a few, but the large crowds made her nervous so she stopped seeing them.
