Introduction
War is coming, Abaddon has shattered the chains binding his powers. Though still confined in the abyss, he grows stronger. He calls upon the evil creatures of the world to gather in Northland, Orcs, Trolls, Ogers, Goblins, and evil men band together, ready for the spoils of war. He calls upon his Jadoth, now know as the Witch King, to lead the war. A powerful creature, embued with Abaddons powers he is neither alive nor dead. As his god's power grows...so to does his.
Jadoth - Now only known as...The Witch King.

The continent of Azeroth is weak and not ready for this coming war.
The Knight's of Solamnia's kingdom lay's just south of Northland, Since the first great war they have fought Abaddon's creations. Though now hundreds of years after the Great Exodus the once revered kingdom is torn by war. Not only do the Orcs grow more powerful and organized the Trolls begin to wield powers of dark magic. Even still the Knight's bicker and squabble over dying lands. Divisions between the knights separate there strength. The once Nobel knights abandon towns to be murdered, and assassinate rivels.
The plains of Duran lay west of Solamnia fare little better. The nomadic tribes of Tauren and Humans are being slaughtered and enslaved by the Witch King's army's. Those that are captured are taken as slave labor for the Witch King.
Far south of Duran is the Elven lands of Qualinesti. No one who enter's these lands are seen or heard from again, the Elves have cast off the other people's of the land, blaming them for the Great Exodus. They continue to tend the forest, waiting for there godesses return.
The great Kingdom of Cathalon resides on the eastern shores of Azeroth south of Solamnia. This is the largest and most powerful kingdom today. Many city's and towns reside within it's borders, the capitol city, Cathalon lays on the north east shores of the empire. In the days before the Exodus ships from all over flowed wealth into the city, though today it is still one of the richest and beautiful city's, it's harbors are all but abandoned.
Between Cathalon and Qualinesti is a large mountain range, it runs south and then spreads outward along the southern border of Azeroth. The Dwarfs make there home in the Frostback mountain's, a proud people who have split in time to make several tribes. These dwarfs usually reside inside the mountains, sculpting great city's. Though some have begun to live on the surface within the mountain range's. This is because a great civil war takes place underneath the mountains, the Deldimor dwarfs have become twisted and evil. It is said they dug to deep and awoke a powerful demon who enslaved the dwarfs. For years the two dwarf races have battled, the Dwarfs slowly being pushed back. The Deldimor dwarf kingdom lay's on the southern borders of the Frostback Mountains.
The Northland - This once was the largest kingdom of all of Azeroth, before the great war. Abaddon turned on the other God's and created legions of Evil beings, his favorite the Orcs. He attacked and destroyed Ascalon - (Now know as Northland) Abaddon's forces seemed unstoppable, until the Five Old God's banded together and bound Abaddon in the Abyss. Without there leader the army's where defeated and pushed back by the other united kingdoms on the border of Solamnia. Orcs, Trolls, Ogers, Goblins, Humans, few Dwarfs, and few free Tauren can be found here.
Azeroth is a divided land, between these great kingdoms lay small city states and people's.
The Old God's are those who defeated Abaddon in the great war, they granted men, dwarf's, and elves the use of Magic during the worlds creation. After the great war though the people of Azeroth turned away from the Five God's, telling them they where no longer needed. So the god's left in the great Exodus, taking with them much of the magic of the world. Over time even more of the magic faded away, and people forgot the old god's.
The Old God's -
Abaddon - Demon God.
Creator of Orcs, Trolls, Ogers, and Goblin's.
Long ago Abaddon was a god like the other's, he was the god of Death, Ice, and Knowledge.

The Day shall come when the Lord of Secrets
Will be freed of his Tormented Prison
When the other gods will quail before his power
And Night will fall on the living world
- Scriptures of Abaddon
Dwayna - Is the goddess of life and air.
To the Elves this is the second most important God.

Balthazar - God of war and fire. Human's often look to him in battle.
For the Knights of Solamnia...Long ago...No other god was more important.

Melandru - Goddess of earth and nature.
The Elves believe they were formed from her.

Lyssa (sometimes only called Lyss) - Is the twin goddess of beauty and illusion.

Grenth - Is the god of death and ice. He is the lord of the Underworld.
For a necromancer, this is their only god.

Grenth wasn't always the god of death, and it is unclear what Grenth was before he became a god. The previous god of death was Abaddon.

RACES AND CLASSES
Magi are those who use Magic.
Magi must carry there spellbook's with them...these books are a magi's most prized possession. For when a spell is used it often slips from there mind and they must study to relearn the incantation. How often this happens depends on the power and training of the magi. Also the power of a spell and proficiency of the Magi help shape how long a spell incantation is.( A master of Air magic may not have to say a low power spell incantation at all, or only say one word of it.) It often takes a life time to master just one school of magic, so there are not many who are proficient in two school's.
A Magi usually carries a staff, forged with magic to amplify there power. They use these staff often as a extension of there body, as they bend the magic and site incantations.
Dwayna - Air and Healing Magic.
Balthazar - Fire Magic
Melandru - Earth Magic
Lyssa - Shadow and Illusion Magic
Grenth - Water and Ice Magic, with this comes the greater power of Necromancy.
Abaddon can grant - Shadow, Water, Ice, and Necromancy Magic. Though the powers are twisted and demonic.
Unlike Magi, other's draw more from the God's themselves and less from the elements. Some would simply call them Magi, but unlike the Magi, they obey and worship the god to whom they serve and the magic user's only show deep respect for where there powers come. These servant's inscribe rune's onto there armor and weapons which imbue them with power. Some say they speak incantation's in combat, but it is a servant praying to there god for power or strength, or for a weapon to strike true.
Paladin's draw powers from Dwayna in the form of healing runes, light that wards away darkness and emboldens others. They also can draw from Balthazar in times of war. Though a paladin is the defender of light, and they regard honor in the highest form.

Death Knights serve either Grenth or Abaddon, there runes power weapons of ice and death. Though there weapons are not poisoned they seep with death, and if not treated by a healer of light can kill a man just as a stab to the heart. They can gather strength from the dead around them, and strike fear into there enemy's.

True Warrior's, men devoted to war, inscribe runes of war onto there bodies and weapons. These runes give strength and courage, for Belthazar does not grant special powers to his warriors, for only there skill and prowess should win the day.

Ranger's seek knowledge from Melandru, they learn the way's of the forest, live and sleep among the tree's. There bows have intricate rune's carved into them, which seek the heart of opponents. There is no greater warrior then a ranger when in the forest, they blend into nature. Myths tell of these men seeping from the tree's themselves to fire a arrow through a man's heart. Of course these are only rumors...or are they?

Rules
1. Be literate! There will be no one line post, I don't expect literature experts but I do want people who take pride in there work. Spell and grammar check your post, and make sure to re-read them so they make sense. (I will look up other post you've made before I accept you)
2. This is a story unfolding more than just a roleplay, so please be thoughtful and creative. Make sure you READ the introduction, it's there for a reason. Please feel free to ask me questions in the OOC.
3. You must be able to post often, 2-3 times a week would be great. If you are going out of town please let us know and don't put your character in a position that effects other's if you wont be able to post.
4. Your post must progress the story. I played in a roleplay where after 100 post they were still in the same city and little had happened of importance. I'm not saying you have to do something in every post that's epic, but just progress the story by either revealing more about your character or the plot. Basically make your post worth reading.
5. I want this to be both fun and creative. It's fun to read good post, so put thought into them.
6. This is a plot driven by hero characters. I will not accept ANY Emo character or character who's parents died and you felt no emotion and nothing ever effects you and blah blah blah. Everyone is motivated by something, whether it is pride, greed, lust, anger, hate, something. Nobody "Does not have emotion, nor ever shows emotion" All that makes for is a dead person.
7. Characters will require to become Hero's and People of power and motivation. Whether you start like that, is up to you.
8. If your a good writer and have friends who write very well also, Invite them! The better the writers the better the story. Again not looking for Author's of books here, just people who take pride in a good story.
9. In your character request please type "The legend has Come" So I know you read the rules.
(Note: The actual roleplay will be on a site I created, on a forum, so that we can actually scroll back the pages.)

Re: [OOC] The war of Azeroth.
Map Of Azeroth-This is a general outline of Azeroth. Basically wanted people to know where the main territory's lay in subjection to the others. There can be other City States, Villages, and Towns between the main countries/nations. There can also be more Towns and whatnot in the main nations. Again this is a "Guide" to what Azeroth is like.
-Special thank's goes out to my wife for making us this map.

Re: [OOC] The war of Azeroth.
Well I thought I mentioned this. Yes I did take element's from several Books, Movies, and Games. I tried to take the best idea's and meld them into something that would be a great story.
Guild Wars and World of Warcraft where the biggest contributers. Then I'd say Dragonlance, and Lord of the Ring's.
(Edit) O yea and a old 2D game Tibia

Re: [OOC] The war of Azeroth.
Submitted a character but I noticed something.
Shouldn't you put a little credit towards the Dragonlance books for your ideas?
But anyways, great RP. My character isn't exactly "motivating" but trust me, I'll make him a good guy while we go through the roleplay.
