Past: Bane was a thief and treasure hunter before the King of the Dark appointed him as Guardian to the prince. As a thief he would steal from the Dark and Light Kingdoms. He had never been caught in his life. He had gotten word of an ancient treasure hidden away beneath the dungeons of the castle in the land of Dark. One night he infiltrated the castle as a random animal and made his way to the dungeons. Once there he spent hours trying to find the entrance that hid the treasure. When he finally found it, he opened it to discover the treasure was priceless ancient jewel. His informant had fail to mention the curse that came with this jewel and when he grabbed it from his pedestal, the ancient jewel's curse was activated. It felt like fire was coursing through his veins. This curse gave him extreme power as well as the ability to generate and control lightning, but at a cost. The curse would take over and attack anything, and if this power used for too long it would take his life. The curse took over him from the start, making him fight inside his own mind to regain control of his body and live. While he tried to take back his own body the curse went on a rampage through the castle. He ran into many guards and the prince within a few minutes. The princes guardian and many of the guards were killed before he regained control of his own body and collapsed. The next day he was visited in the infirmary by the King and given two options: See a wizard about controlling the curse and become the Prince's new guardian or die on the spot. Naturally Bane chose to live. The King now had gotten rid of a major problem for both Kingdoms.

Powers: Partial and full body shape shifting. His curse enhances his powers and gives him the ability to generate and control lightning when activated.

Personality: Bane is a real easy going person by nature. He seems to be in deep thought all of the time and is very observant. He acts on impulse and disregards his life in pursuit of what he seeks. Most take him for cold when he is actually quite friendly and willing to help his comrades.
