OOC Notes
Xavier shook off his morning mood, then got out of bed. As he walked down the dark hallways of his apartment, he ran his hand along the groove of the wall until he reached the light switch. He stood there for a moment, and decided to leave the room dark. For some reason he felt more secure in the dark, like nothing could touch him. He reached for the bathroom door, and gently opened it, inevitably leaving him to gaze at his own reflection in the mirror. He quickly looked away in horror, as it brought back very painful past memories. He walked over to toilet, sliding his feet along the cold tile floor, playfully avoiding cracks that shaped the tiles into squares. He closed the lid, then sat down removing his boxers and necklace that he forgot to take off the night before. He opened the door to the shower and turned the knob all the way to hot, then stepped inside the shower. He jumped back against the wall at first trying to adjust to the temperature, which didn't take too long, then he relaxed under the steady (or not so steady) flow of the warm water beating down on his shoulders. He braced himself with one hand against the wall and the other dangling lifeless to his side as steam filled the room.
After about thirty minutes had passed, he got out of the shower and stood in front of the fogged up bathroom mirror, wiping it off with the towel around his neck. Trying to avoid making eye contact with himself, he dried off his straight blond hair, then turned and walked out, and back into his room. He looked through his closet for something to put on for the day, but not wanting to get dressed yet. "6:18am" Xavier observed, "Thats a little better... i guess." He put on a sleeveless black shirt and some running shorts. Heading for the door, he had almost forgot his necklace that he left in the bathroom, but then decided against going back to get it...
As he left the apartment, he tried to close the door quietly trying not to disturb the landlord (Rent was due!!!). He quietly locked the door, then made his way down the stares and onto the sidewalk, readjusting his bag on his shoulder. He walked about 3 blocks until he came to a light. He turned his head both ways and saw no cars coming. He walked down the eroding white crosswalk regardless of the little red had that tells you to walk or not.
Finally he arrived at a little old rundown Waffle House. He walked through the front and saw his favorite waitress Betty, but before he got her attention, she already had is coffee made. Everyday for the past couple of years he had been coming here the same time every morning. Xavier sat down in his usual spot and waited for Betty.
"Ahhh.... How are ya dear?" She said in her brooklyn style accent. Her breath smelled of cigarette smoke and as raspy as sandpaper. That was Betty for you.
"I'm doing fine, Thank You," Xavier replied. He looked to his left then back in front of him. "I'll have my usual," He smiled. His usual; two waffles and hash browns burnt to a crisp. Betty smiled the walked behind the counter.
He could feel something was off today, and he couldn't quite shake the feeling. It wasn't a bad feeling... Just a feeling.

Suddenly an image flashed in Xavier's mind. The man standing in the middle of nothingness, his arm raised. Suddenly a voice seemed to speak in Xavier's mind "Awaken.." it said mystically, echoing inside his head. Suddenly a stranger cam through the door wearing a black trench coat, his spikey black hair obvious underneath his hat. The stranger smiled at Betty and sat down next to Xavier. "Just a glass of water please" the man said turning around to see the diner. Suddenly the man's Voice seemed to be inside Xaviers head, "It wasn't a dream you know? He's calling you?"

Xavier ran out of the restaurant to aid the woman. "Hello, I'm Xavier. Can I help you?" He asked her, being genuinely concerned, and secretly hoping not to get too involved.
