Danielle ran down an alley and kept looking behind her as she ran. She ran into a trashcan and knocked it over. "Get away!" she screamed. The labcoat was getting closer. She turned a corner and quickly looked around. To the left was a ladder. She ran over to it before the labcoat could see her and pulled it down and climbed it. When she was on the roof, she pulled the ladder back up and used a pipe to make it stay so the labcoat couldn't pull it down. She stood in the middle of the roof and prayed that the labcoat couldn't see her. "Now what?" she thought to herself. It wasn't safe to sleep there, not that she would be able to sleep anywhey. Her fear of them kept her awake every night. She sat there awake for several hours and decided that it was the best spot until the sun came up. Her powers weren't able to be used until morning because the labcoats injected her with something that would make her powers not work for twelve hours. They had problems with her turning into small animals and trying to get away. Lucky for them, the crack underneath the door was way too small for a mouse to go under.

Jonathen heard the comotion from the cell over - Danielle's cell. Usually there was silence, utter silence, the kind of silence that drove you crazy with the occasional screams. But he heard scuffling, running, the lab coats, normally so quiet and calm, were shouting in a panic. So he surmised, as he heard their footsteps fade away, that now was the time to escape. Someone had started the movement, now it was time for him to follow. More than time.
He focused on the metal door, solid in front of him, and closed his eyes. 'Am I really going to do this? The lab coats...' he paused and strengthed his resolve, "the lab coats aren't here right now," he whispered aloud. He stared at the door and began to pull at the middle. The door shook, then began to crunch inward, like a blanket being pulled from the middle. The hinges popped, but he heard nothing else - maybe some footsteps on the outside of the building. He smiled, white teeth gleaming as he rose from his bed and stepped through the doorway, over the crunched, metal ball that was once, his guard. He looked at the next door over. Time to try it again. There was time. And he would need an army if he was going to get anywheres. There were seven doorways - one his, and one Danielle's. He focused to the one across the hall and began pulling at the door with his mind. "Yess...." he hissed as it too began to fold in the middle, "Come on..." He pulled the ball of metal away and looked inside, "Come on! Let's move! The Lab Coats are gone for now, we have to hurry." It was a boy... with wings? "You can fly us all up to the roof! That'll be the safest place!" He started on the next doorway and found a boy who smelled of smoke. "Anyone who can help open doors, nows the time!" He moved on, "They'll be coming back soon - and I don't want to leave anyone behind."

Crouching down, my eyes searched for the exit sign. The fire was so sudden my brain was in a confused haze. My part of the building was on fire. Why?! I coughed and squinted my eyes. The smoke filling up the hallway was getting heavier. I glanced torwards the body of a Lab Coat on the floor. Taking a little pleasure at the sight, I turned on my heels and ran down the hall. Past doors with shouting and pleading, I couldn't help but wince. I wanted to help them, I really did. but then we'd both die in the fire and that did no good to anyone. I slipped and landed heavily. Grimacing I lifted myself up and coughed. Where the hell is the exit?

Just then I caught a glimpse of a red flashing sign, being able to just make out the words between the swirling smoke, I scrambled up and headed torwards the Exit Sign.
Hearing shouting from behind me, I ran faster. Grabbing the handle I pushed it open, Stumbling into the dark night. I immediatly started running blindly torwards the woods. My eyes slowly adjusting to the darkness, I crashed through the underbrush and continued running. A bullet wizzed past, inches from my head. Oh shit.
I ran faster but it seemed my legs wouldn't carry me fast enough. Twigs and branches swatted at my face but I continued running. More bullets wizzed past. Then there was a sudden drop, tumbling me down a hill, I squeezed my eyes shut. This was it. I was going to die. I was going to tumble and plumet down to a lake and eventually drown. This is it.
Instead I rammed into a log. I struggled to get my breath back but kept silent. I heard shouting in the distance. The voices got closer. I tensed and waited for them to find me. But to my luck, the voices started to fade.
I started taking ragged breaths in and lied there. I didn't think I could get up ever again.

Isaiah sat in his cell. It was barley big enough for his wings to fit in and he had a metal slip around his mouth to prevent him from screaming. Only a lab coat could take it off.
He blinked and then his cell door got ripped off. "You can fly us all up to the roof! That'll be the safest place!" he heard, coming from a boy much older than him. Isaiah ran out of his cell and stretched his wings. It felt so good. He ran to the other guy and pointed to a white coat left on the floor. He picked it up and then pointed to the metal slip on his mouth.

Danielle heard screaming and yelling coming from the direction she had run from. Had the others escaped too? Or did the lab coats rally up more men? She didn't care, she wasn't moving until she knew it was safe. Then again, she couldn't resist looking over the edge when she knew it could result in her friends deaths. When she saw them running, she couldn't help it, she yelled. "Guys, up here!" she felt stupid for practically telling the lab coats where she was. "Come on, we have to go right now. It isn't safe in this area anymore!" she jumped down from the roof and joined the others. "I'm sorry, I can't fly, the stuff they injected me with is still blocking my powers." She started running to lead the others to a place she had seen before that she thought would make a good hiding place.

Ushio just followed danielle she could run very fast so she said "Everyone grab on to me i can make us unseeable to the naked eye." She didn't feel she had good powers infact they pretty much did whats she used to be at school. No one ever looked at her and it seemed time slowed down as she walked pzast sertent lunch tables but right then she could help by using the power that was given to her.

Struggling to get up, I pushed the log away with my foot. Damn, that hurt..
Careful not to step on any twigs or branches that would give away where I was, I glanced around. I was at the bottom of a trench.. I frowned then looked behind me, where there was another sudden drop. I cautiously walked over and peered over the edge, at the bottom was a river. My eyes followed the river down, but something off in the distance was wrong.. No longer woods but.. Buildings? A tad of hope shot through me, but stopped short. The guilt of leaving the other kids behind was knawing at the back of my mind. I cant just leave without helping.. I cant.
Without thinking, I turned and went back up the hill I had fallen down. Grabbing onto roots to pull myself up. Almost losing my balance, I dug my foot into the mud and finally managed to get over the steep hill. I scanned the woods. It seemed none of the Lab Coats were here.. Or the Sons. The Sons not being here was the best. They were definitaly a handfull. I caught a glimpse of the white Lab Building. I can't believe im doing this.. This is practically suicide.
Yet I silently made my way through the trees and bushes and came to the opening. Building-A, My building, was still on fire. Lab Coats scrambled out of the building, a few experiments now & then escaped also. Go guys, Run! I mentally cheered them on. Turning my gaze to Building-B, It seemed content except for the fact that there was a girl on the roof and kids bursting through the door.

I stepped out of the underbrush and cupped my hands over my mouth.

"OVER HERE! RUN OVER HERE!" I yelled, A few kids managed to hear me. Catching sight of the girl on the roof, I yelled.

"YOU GOTTA GET DOWN FROM THERE! THEIR JUST GONNA CORNER YOU!"

But it seemed she didn't hear me. Shit, Shit, Shit. I glanced around at the Lab Coats, one Noticed the kids piling into the woods and started into a dead run torward us, With something in hand.. Tranqiluizer gun?

Oh God. Catching a glimpse of the letter embedded into her White coat, It read Building-B.

That means she didn't take the medicine, right? My Power will work on her.. I hoped. But right now thats all I could do was to hope. I lifted my hand and pointed it at the Lab Coat. I squeezed my eyes shut and with slight ease of my hand, I mentally visioned the Skull of the Lab Coat. Almost immediatly she fell to the ground like a rock, curling into a ball. She clutched her head and screamed in agony. Ignoring the Lab Coat, I yelled one more time to the kids, the girl on the roof wasn't there anymore, but with another group on the ground.

"OVER HERE~!" I yelled one last time.

Isaiah felt paniced. So much was going on, but he heard something in the distance. His ears were very sensitive, so that he could use ecolocation. He turned and could make it out more clearly. "OVER HERE!!" he heard a femine voice yelled. He waved his hands at the others in his group and pointed to the girl. He flapped his wings, making gusts of wind. 'Please Please understand me.' he thought.

Danielle looked at Ushio and didn't even question why she should put her hand on her. She placed her hand on Ushio's back and followed. Originally, she had a spot in mind, but in this case, they would have to keep running. The Lab Coats were everywhere. She looked around at all the other experiments. "Do we have everyone?" she asked whoever could hear her. "I don't want to leave anyone behind in this Hell House." She looked back at the place she had come from and couldn't help but glare at it. She felt childish glaring at a place she hated, but if anyone went through the same things she did, they would understand.

"There's seven of us here," Jonathen ran up with the last two girls. "And one over there. That must be all of us. Let's get that one and go." He placed his hand on Ushio. "We'll work together. We can do this together." A lab coat shot something at him that narrowly missed his ear - a tranq dart. "Right, let's go!!!"
The situation was more urgent than he felt was really necessary, he had hoped for an easy, quiet escape but it appeared this was the way it was going out. The way he was going out.
All eight were safely out of the building, six of them together with Ushio. Once they got the one over there they would be all together... and then they would be free. All of them.

Danielle nodded. "Okay, let's go get them." She started running when a tranquelizer dart flew just past Jonathen's ear. "Oh my gosh! Are you okay?" she asked not knowing whether it got him or not. She ran to where the extra person was standing and grabbed their arm. "This way." She said and pulled them with her back to the direction where they were going. "Put your hand on Ushio, it will help us get away better." She kept running and trying her best to dodge bullets and tranqs. This was the craziest thing she has ever done in her life! She was still running when she collapsed and her hand immediately went to her hip. "Ow!" she yelled. She looked to where her hand was. She was shot in the hip. "They shot me." she said in disbelief. If she was able to use her powers, she would have done something stupid like turned into a cougar and try to attack them. She got up and tried to ignore the pain and keep running.

Illia whimpered as the fire alarm went off, and as a scientist swung open the door to her cell, planning on trying to save at is probably one of their longest ongoing experiments, he found himself being tackled by the tiny fifteen year old. She kicked the scientist, stunning them for long enough that she could sprint in the direction she hoped the exit was in, clutching her sketch book. Finally she saw it. The sign glowing green through the smoke that said 'exit' in big letters. She pushed her way out and stopped. What was she going to do now? She'd never been outside that she remembered, so she had no idea what to expect. Still, she saw people running, being shot at by other people, and she chased after them.

"Wait!" She tripped, performing a face-plant in the dirt, she rose again, eyes wide and terrified, "Wait for me!"

Then she saw them disappear.

"No! Wait! Please! Wait for me!" More tripping and stumbling as tranquilizer darts flew through the air.

As they all began running towards the woods, invisible thanks to Ushio, Jonathen heard a faint 'wait!' and turned, letting go of Ushio's shoulder. "Damn," he muttered, as the group disappeared from his vision. He looked back at the small girl tripping across the field of tranq darts. He ducked behind a tree and then peeked out, focusing on the girl's frame. He rarely lifted humans, it sometimes ended badly and it always made him nervous, but there was little time. He focused on her core, and pulled. The girl shot forward out of the fray and hurtled into the woods, flying straight through the air at incredible speeds. The tip of her foot caught the ground and she went rolling down a grass embankment to a drop off. Jonathen winced and ran after her. "Sorry!" He called out, hoping she could hear. Then, he too fell ungracefully off the edge of the drop off and landed in a heap at the bottom with all the others.

Isaiah looked at the girl had caught up with them. He thought he heard the White Coats say something about her being a technopath. He tapped her shoulder and pounted at the steel muzzle like slip around his mouth. Maybe she would be able to take it off him. Then, with a stick he wrote down in the dirt, 'Could you take this thing off me?'

Ushio was happy she helped some of the others escape she kept up they reach the forest she colladsed to her knees cough hard, that power like taking a lot of energy right out of her. "Give me a sec, Then I'll be able to run again. sorry that power just takes a lot out of me."

I ran along and came to an abrupt stop. "No Time, No time!" I shouted. I hauled the girl up by her armpits and shoved her off the edge of the cliff. Watching her fall into the river, I winced but quickly turned my attention back to the others.

"Jump!" I yelled. "They're coming from the sides and from the opening!" And they were. Pouring in like a wave swallowing up the sand. Except these were Sons. Swallowing up the woods. Shit.

"Sons!" I screamed. "Go! Go!" I shot my hand up and targeted five of the things, careful not to use too much energy for I still had to swim with the current when, I jumped. I visioned their hard drive and shattered them. They fell to the ground with a thud. I turned and dove off the cliff, squeezing my eyes shut, I fell for a moment. The whole world stopped before me. Then with a sudden drop, I dove straight into the ice cold water. I swam up and surfaced the water. Coughing, I noticed the girl I had thrown in.

"You gotta swim straight down!" I shouted over the water, as I fought for my breath back.

"People" I managed to say before having the current take me under and tumble me straight down. Fighting off the current, my head bobbed over the water. Taking in one last deep breath, I let the current take me down the river.

After she reached them, they were all at the edge of the water saying that they had to dive straight down. "What?! Do you really want to swim with my blood?" she asked nearly pancking. It was stupid, but she was also in a hurried state. She only had a few seconds to think before the Lab Coats would catch up. "Okay, I'm sorry, but I'm going in." she dived in and swam down. It was hard with an injured leg.

Illia squeaked as she was lifted off the ground by an invisible force and pulled insanely fast into the woods where she tumbled down a slope. Rising, she brushed off her clothes and noticed a boy with wings looking at her. When he pointed to the metal piece on his mouth and then wrote on the ground, asking if she could take it off, she shook her head.

"They gave me medication to stop me from using my powers. It should wear off soon, and then I need access to an elec-" she was cut off as someone lifted her by her armpits and threw her over a cliff into the freezing water below.

Terrified, she screamed. Hitting the water made her whole body hurt and then she realized she was sinking. Not knowing how to swim, she tried to imitate the others by holding a deep breath in her lungs whilst kicking under the water. The sensation of weightlessness made her want to laugh as she was swept away by the current like everyone else, but she resisted the urge. After a few minutes and a couple breaths she felt a small twitch of power. The medication from this morning was wearing off! She grinned, swimming back up just enough to take a breath and look around, seeing if there were any Sons present. There was one coming up next to them fast, standing stupidly on the edge of the water waiting. Illia grinned like a piranha bares its teeth and pushed herself towards it. As soon as she got close enough, she grabbed it's foot and concentrated, absorbing all the energy she could. The Son started to move to attack her, but found itself slowing down more and more until it collapsed, completely drained of all energy within the electronic components that fueled it.
Taking another deep breath and diving again, she tried to catch up with the others, feeling free again.

Everyone was jumping in, just as the boy had suggested, and as Jonathen looked around, it did seem like the best plan. He had taken swimming lessons when he was younger, and hoped he remembered what he learned. He took a deep breath and dove straight into the water, then began moving his feet in sync. The current helped push him along, and soon he was near the last girl who had jumped in - the one he had sent flying through the air a few moments earlier. He wanted to apologize but there really wasn't time for pleasantries or manners now. They were all quiet as they were pulled down the stream by the rushing current. 'How long does this river flow?' He wondered, 'and to where? Does it go all the way to the ocean? Does it stop by a few cities? Will it deposit us in a lake? Where are we going?' But anyplace was better than where they had been as eight heads bobbed up and down in the water, quietly making their escape.

Grabbing onto a branch from the side of the river, I pulled myself up. Rolling up my sleeves, I pushed the hair out of my eyes and reached my hand out torward the girl who looked like she was having trouble.

"Grab my hand." I said, Not as urgent as before.

Glancing up the the river, their seemed to be more kids. Each of their heads bobbing above the water, I called out,

"Over here!"

Almost sliding into the river again, I caught myself. "Be careful though, Its muddy."

Danielle swam back up to the surface of the water. When her head finally surfaced, she looked around and noticed all the other kid's heads bobbing near hers. "Is this salt water?" she asked to hopefully find out how long they would be floating. "If this is salt water, we are going to be here for quite some time." She looked around and saw some thick roots on the side of the cliff they had jumped off. She swam over to them as best she could. It wasn't hard since she was already getting used to the pain. Plus, it could be worse. She kept that thought in her mind as she grabbed the roots and pushed herself along the cliff to hopefully find a beach in this darkness. "Does anybody have any powers involving water?"

"Well... sorta," Jonathen smiled as he lazily drifted to the riverbank and clambered up next to the other boy. "I can move it without touching it - hold it in the air, that sort of thing. Make it move. But other than that... no. And by the way - its fresh water. It definately doesn't have a salty taste." He licked a water droplet clinging to his arm just to make sure, then looked up at the sky. "We are all about to get very cold. It'll be a chilly night tonight, and we're nowhere near... well, anywhere that we know. With wet clothes we're going to be freezing." The smile slipped from his face in frustration. He hated that they couldn't spend the first few hours out just celebrating. Instead they had to worry about hypothermia. Wonderful.
