Preferred Name: Celeste but people have been known to call her, Essie or Cel. She prefers Essie for a nickname though.
Role: Child 2's girlfriend
Age: Essie is at the ripe age of Twenty-two years old, a year younger than her fiance. Although she was born on Christmas day so she's soon to be turning Twenty-three.
Career: She's in her last year of her master degree in university, taking a course to be an engineer. She's always loved the laws of physics and using her knowledge for engineering purposes, she mostly loves to tinker with things. She has a part-time job working as a waitress at a home restaurant. She has been told she's a good people person.

Appearance: Essie is actually fairly short for someone like her. She's about the height of five foot two and she has a small and slim build. She is at the weight of a hundred and seventeen pounds and she's perfectly content with it. From the lack of meat in her diet she appears to have a pale skin tone and sometimes people have been concerned about her, but she tells them otherwise. She has dirty blonde hair that goes down to her middle back and rests there. It falls in loose waves. She has a pair of dark blue eyes that express a lot of emotion and tell the bigger picture without her having to say anything at all.

Essie is known to wear clothes of comfort. She likes sweaters on fall and winter days, and often times a lot of her outfits have to match. She can be fairly OCD about things and they need to match or she gets a little frustrated. Essie has a soft heart for more pastel colours and light shades of colours. Her favourite colours happen to be a light pink and a turquoise. Shorts are often her go to when the climate is good enough, and otherwise she'll have some jeans on. On special occasions when it's needed she will wear a dress. Her hair is always down but she always has a hair elastic around her wrist in case of when she needs to work on a project.

Whenever she is focused on something she gets a stern look on her face and you can often tell when she's focused. She'll have her eyebrows scrunched up and she'll pay no one else no attention, and she often will sit there or hours upon hours figuring something out, and she will risk her sleep just to study something and examine it closely. Sometimes it takes some physical contact to take her out of it.
Markings: She has some tattoos on her body. She has birds flying from a cage from the middle of her back up to her shoulder. She also has a small tiny heart on the inside of her wrist. Besides tattoos she has some scars on the inside of her wrist as well, they've mostly faded by now. She's cut in the past in her teen years and also near the start of university. (further explained in brief bio.)

Personality: Celeste is a strong person, she's been one for a long time. She has a good value system and her morals are always in check. No one can take her off her track once she is set. She has an intelligent mind that has also been noted as creative and it's taken her so many places before that she can't count the many times. Celeste, used to be a child who was often afraid of a lot of things, due to her wicked imagination, it made her paranoid and scared a lot of the times. She didn't know how to deal with it a lot and her parents tried the best they could to help her. The person who was able to help her most it would seem was her brother, Landon. Landon was four years older than Celeste and they happened to grow close. Celeste learned a lot from him, and that's where her headstrong personality comes from. He showed her how not to fear and that with the power of love and family nothing could harm her, and nothing could do anything to her. He showed her fairy tales and soon that got her imagination running wild as it has ever been before.

Celeste is a girl who has always been one to get to know someone before she were to judge them. She likes to hear their story and learn about them. Assumptions never lead anyone anywhere and she knows this. She is very heart warming and touching, as she stands up for everything that she believes in and she's no ones door mat. She will stand there and fight until the day she dies. She wont let people her and walk all over her, it's absolutely a must.

Now it's not spoken of too much, but Essie has a high wall and barriers put up for trust. She can't trust just anyone, and she has had issues in the past to letting people in because she has a theory of people that get too close that she'll end up losing them, and she never wants to lose the people she loves. She has a very justified reason for it, and it's one that most people don't know or will ever know.

As stated before she gets a bit OCD about things and she actually has that disorder and it's something that she can't help sometimes. She sometimes posses too much control and leadership abilities and tries to do everything and carries a big work load, it can be her down fall in a lot of cases but she can't help her self sometimes and plus her stubborn and determined nature doesn't help with people telling her not to do it, if anything that makes he want to do it more.

Brief Bio: Born and raised to Gina and Nolan Doyle, she was their second born child. Originally when Celeste was born she had a twin sister, although she ended up dying in the hospital and ended up being a still born. Gina was mortified but she soon accepted it and she cherished the daughter she still had. Although this led to Gina not wanting anymore kids as she was in fear it'd happen again. Gina was a chef at the local restaurant and she was very well known for her food. Her father on the other hand he was a skilled logger. So based on her father being away a lot, she hardly had a father in her life, he wasn't even there when she was born. He'd be home for only a couple months at a time, and it was upsetting sometimes but that was the way they lived.

Soon her fears began to show up, and she'd get scared of everything. She was five years old at the time and her brother was nine. He took care of her because he knew how to help her and he would let her sleep in his bed with her so the thoughts would go away, they were very close as brother and sister and they were difficult to separate. Soon as she got older he'd help her face more of her fears to prove to her that they weren't that bad.

Celeste and her brother Landon ended up moving away when she was at the age of fifteen and he was nineteen. He wanted to give Celeste a better life than living in a small town so they went to live with their aunt who lived in the same state and city as the Essex family. Celeste soon got a job and her and her brother were happy. Although one night, when Celeste had been at a party and got drunker than hell, she had puked on some guys lap, who had known her brother. He soon called her brother and he came to pick her up. He carried her out to the car and put her into the passenger seat, and he began driving them home. Soon though a drunk driver had been going to fast and Landon could tell was happening, so in attempt to keep his sister safe, he tried to make the worst of the crash from hitting her, and he took most of the force.

This had put him intensive care when she was at the age of seventeen. It was her graduating year and while she waited countless hours, and hours her brother had soon came up dead. Celeste was devastated and she found it difficult to cope, she managed to finish off the year with high grades and she graduated with honours. She was a candidate for valedictorian but after what happened with her brother she didn't want to give a speech. She soon resorted to alcohol to help take away the pain, she did it the whole summer before she went off to university. Her aunt was concerned after awhile and sent her to a counsellor. After she had repaired she went off to Chicago, and that's where she met her boyfriend as of now.

Her scars were from the period when she had started drinking to solve her problems, she had also cut herself, blaming herself for everything. Although shortly she got better an she focused on her studies in Chicago. Now to current date, she's going home with her boyfriend over the holidays.

So begins...

Essie had heard that her boyfriend, Aidan had been invited to his parents' place for Christmas. She only had a week to change her plans right away when she was asked to go with him, and she was more than glad to go with him. She had met his family before, just last Christmas she had been over as well. She met his family prior to such, but it wasn't too often she always saw them. Essie had met them all none the less. Vivian, Jaxon, Katy, Rose, and John. Rose was a sweet women and she made John a better person from what she could tell. She didn't know them too well of course. Essie had taken a liking to Katy who seemed to be one of Aidan's favourite siblings and she always tried to play with Katy when she could. Essie always kept an open mind about John as well, even though he's protective of his children she had been able to see past it a little bit.

She has spent a bunch of time packing her bags for the occasion. She had a list of everything that she needed to pack and she made sure she got it. Of course she also did some last minute Christmas shopping for his family. She had heard that James was coming out, as he was Vivian's other half. Celeste had met him before and she soon had gifts for everyone and she had wrapped them up. She was excited for Christmas and she was hoping things would go well. She even got a little something for this girl that Jaxon apparently had been dating, it was nothing special that she could give her, but figured something would be better than nothing.

As of the day they were leaving to get to his parents house she was checking her list for the last time. She sighed, relieved she didn't have anything missing from her list. Soon Essie had gotten dressed, she knew she had to look a little presentable it being Christmas eve and she was going to be around his family this year. Although they had to be on a plane flight so she dressed more in comfort first and figured she'd dress up at the airport, since it wouldn't take her long. Her and Aidan had made it to their plane on time and soon they were in the airport. There she quickly changed to her cocktail dress and some flats, considering she hated heels with a passion. She let her hair down and touched up her makeup a little bit, which wasn't a whole lot since she wasn't too into makeup but she liked it for a little boost.

She pulled on her coat and gloves and soon her beanie followed. She walked with Aidan out of the airport and into a taxi. They had spoken a bit in their journey to his house. She didn't really bring up his mother at all, she knew it was a touchy subject, and she understood that. She had lost her own brother when she was younger, she knew how it felt, and she never liked talking about it much. They talked about his work for the most part, and then about Christmas in general, of course they had their little teasing bits too, which were mostly just adorable.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Soon they pulled up to his parents' house that was mostly just his father's house now but she never addressed it as such. She got out of the taxi cab and she grabbed her bags which were only one with her stuff she needed and the other was filled with the presents she had for everyone. She waited for Aidan and then once they paid the taxi cab driver she looped her arm with Aidan's and walked up to the door with him. "I hope it's as good of a Christmas as I think it's going to be." She said flashing him a smile. "Looking forward to seeing your siblings again, especially Katy." the girl spoke and as they reached the door she rung the doorbell for them. "I wonder if we're the first ones here." She said to him.
For the most part, the trip to Massachusetts had been uneventful. Their plane wasn't delayed; luckily the snow storm wasn't supposed to move in for another few hours, and the cab ride from Boston to Rockport went without a hitch. It was strange being back in his hometown. He hadn't been there since his mother's funeral and to be quite honest, after the traumatic experience of losing a parent, he had vowed never to return. Of course Essie had managed to convince him that he had to accept the invite to come home for the holiday. He didn't have to do it for his father, but simply because he knew that his mother would want it that way. He had to be there to make sure that Katy was still doing well and to preserve his mother's memory during the holidays. Besides, he wanted Essie to become more comfortable with his siblings.
As they pulled up in front of the large Essex home, Aidan rummaged through his wallet to pay their driver. Essie had already exited the car and grabbed her bags, but as soon as Aidan made it out into the cold, he grabbed his and softly pulled hers from her hands as well.
"Thanks for coming, babe," he began, glancing over at her as they approached the front door. "I know my family can be a little... well, ya know... crazy, but I appreciate you being here with me to deal with it." He nodded in agreement as she expressed her hope for it to be a good Christmas. They didn't have to wait long after she rung the bell for the large doors to be pulled open. The aroma of delicious food streamed out into the cold air and it delighted Aidan more than seeing the face of his father. Sure, his dad was a good guy and he loved him, but they had their differences, especially when it came to how they wanted the law firm to be run.
"Merry Christmas dad," he said, allowing a grin to fall into place as he led Celeste inside. "It smells like Christmas in here, that's for sure," he continued as he set their bags down for a moment to remove his jacket before taking his and Essie's and hanging them in the closet. He picked them up again though, looking towards the stairs. "You mind if I bring our stuff up to our room?" he asked to his father and girlfriend, although he didn't wait for a response before taking a few steps up. "Looks like we are the first ones here," he said, commenting on Essie's earlier comment before proceeding upstairs.
It was nice to be home. Or at least it was for now.
Riane absorbed the kiss, and patted John's back as he walked towards the door. "I'll see if I can find her," she said. She could hear little footsteps in the kitchen, so she traveled that way. In the hallway, she caught her reflection in the small mirror. Her dark hair was up in a ballerina bun. She pulled out the three bobby pins holding it in place, and it fell down her back like rolling waves. I'm not old enough to wear a bun like this to a family gathering, she thought.
Walking through the kitchen doorway, she nearly ran into Katy, stuffed with the gingerbread cookies that Marc supposedly makes every Christmas Eve. "Oh Katy," Riane said. "You're dad said no sugar before breakfast." She crossed her arms and pursed her lips. "But I'll let this one slide. Your dress looks great, honey. I think your siblings are arriving." She slipped her arm around Katy's shoulders and led her out to the front corridor.
John was greeting a blonde woman that Riane had never seen before. She'd seen plenty of pictures of the children, and she knew this wasn't one of them. She slowly walked up behind John, taking his hand. "Good morning," she said to the blonde. "I'm Riane. I don't recognize you?"
John
"It's good to see you Aidan, and you too Essie, " the man greeted, giving a nod toward his son and a smile towards the girl. He had difficulties with Aidan, even more so after Rose passed on. He wanted to groom him to someday take over the lawfirm, but they often quarreled about how to handle even the most meaningless of tasks. Usually his wife was able to make the both see sense, but without her....he didn't know who would be the negotiator between the two.
Feeling a hand slip into his, John gave it a light squeeze as his fiance spoke. He turned back towards Essie, still smiling. "I hope the trip wasn't terrible, I heard the weather report this morning was a little rough, though nothing serious." He had yet to really talk much to the girl, still sizing her up on how she would fit into the family. He listened to Riane speaking, all the while looking around to see where his youngest had gone off too.
He patted Riane's hand before releasing it, setting himself to the task of finishing some things up around the main hall before the rest of the kids came, which he assumed would be any minute. "Katy-cat?" He called out, using the affectionate nickname especially for his princess as he looked around for her. "Come greet your big brother and Essie, wont you?" He wanted this Christmas to go as well as possible, but despite him keeping an upbeat attitude it was hard not seeing his wife around. By now she'd be pulling Aidan into hug, and then picking up the phone and calling every airline to see where her children could possibly be. He chortled at the thought, before quickly shaking his head and waiting for the rest of his kin to arrive in a timely fashion.
Essie had happened to see the doors open. Her and Aidan had a safe trip to say the least and she was excited and she could get the Christmas vibes from the house. The scents of baking was flooding in and she smiled. She soon walked in with Aidan and they were greeted by John. Even though she has been over to visit Aidan's family over countless times, she still felt like she had any challenges to face to fit the idea of what John had wanted.
Soon another woman came in. Essie watched as she slipped her hand into John's and then she could tell by their body behaviour. She heard the woman ask her who she was. Obviously Essie wasn't one of the Essex children but she had been dating Aidan for quite some time now and she didn't intend to leave him if his father didn't like her, she just hoped that Aidan would be the same way. She gave a small smile to the two of them. "Evening, John and your companion." She said. She wasn't one to judge, it was a bit too soon but who knew, maybe they were happy. She left the opinion for hers to be settled upon knowing them better. "I'm Celeste." She said to the woman and gave a small smile.
Eventually she nodded to both of them, "I'll help Aidan with our bags, so if you'll please excuse me." She said softly and then she turned to go upstairs and into Aidan's room. "Hey babe, figured I'd help, not sure if your dad likes me yet or not." She said speaking the last part a bit quietly. She did feel like she was on the edge waiting for an approval or not. Essie sighed softly and helped him set the bags down and then wrapped her arms around him and gave him a small peck on the lips. "So, any bets on who arrives first out of your other two siblings?" She asked with a small smirk on her face.
Katy only shrugged in response to Riane informing her of her father's wishes of not eating before their Christmas dinner. She wasn't really sure what role Riane played in their family. She was one of her dad's "friends" was what she was told, but none of his other friends lived with them. He didn't kiss any of his other friends or have sleepovers with them every night. It didn't necessarily bother Katy that Riane had entered the family, but what did bother her was the attention that her father gave her. Katy was supposed to be his favorite girl in the whole entire world. She was supposed to get all of his hugs and kisses, and all of the time he had away from work. She didn't like that he would take Riane out on date nights or buy her special presents, even if he bought Katy her own as well. In reaction to all of it, Katy tended to act out. She'd throw tantrums whenever her dad left the house, whether it was to go out with Riane or simply to go to work. She wanted her dad to be with her all the time, especially now that she didn't have her mother to spend time with.
She allowed Riane to lead her into the front corridor where she was met by her father and Essie, Aidan's girlfriend. Riane and her father began to converse with Essie, but Katy was too focused on searching for any signs of presents that her brother and Essie might have brought with them. By the time that she discovered that there were no bags with Essie, the older girl was already making her way up the stairs.
After Essie had disappeared down the hallway, Katy turned to her father with a frown. "Where are my presents?! Aidan always brings me toys when he comes home."
Aidan looked up as he heard his bedroom door open behind him, and smiled as Essie entered. She expressed her doubt in his father's interest in her and Aidan replied with a shake of his head. "Of course he likes you, babe. You're perfect," he said with, flashing her a smile as pulled her in for a kiss. It was true; Essie was perfect. She was beautiful, intelligent, successful, and everything he could want in a companion. He then paused, pulling away from her as he reconsidered why she was doubting herself. "Why? Did he say something to you? I'm telling you, if he's gonna be starting shit on Christmas Eve we're leaving. We didn't come all the way here for that." Being protective of those he loved was one of the many things that Aidan had inherited from his father, and he wasn't going to stand for anyone disrespecting his girlfriend.
Mom wouldn't want any problems. I've got to deal with this without adding to the drama that Dad's already created. If not for mom, at least for Katy and the others, and to show Essie that our family is at least somewhat normal.
After a moment of silence, he calmed down a bit and Essie asked who he thought would be next to arrive. "I would've thought that Jax would have been here by now. Vivian's always late so don't expect her for another few days or so," he joked as a small smile appeared on his tense face.
He sat down on the bed, looking over at the blonde. "So, what should we do now?"
Celeste had been in Aidan's room before, and she had to say, she preferred this room over all the others, because even though it was his room, she could tell all of the memories that were probably once in here from when Aidan was in his teenage years. It was also one of the more silent and a more relaxed room to her. Essie rather liked it very much. She was soon hearing what Aidan had to say about his father and she smiled at his words. "Of course he likes you babe. You're perfect." Essie knew Aidan cared for her and that she cherished, because she had trusted him, and it was difficult for her to let people in sometimes after the accident with her brother. She had loved her brother, and he had taken care of her and when he died on her account she felt she had been cursed. Although her dark days were over, but sometimes nightmares would still linger about once in awhile, but they were mostly reduced, and if she had them, Aidan was right there with her.
Soon his next few words was what brought her out of her thought process. "Why? Did he say something to you? I'm telling you, if he's gonna be starting shit on Christmas Eve we're leaving. We didn't come all the way here for that." Of course now she could tell that Aidan was just being protective, he got like that with her, and anyone who he had loved. She gave him a sympathetic smile for understanding why he was being protective. "No, he didn't say anything to me, not anything like that at least. Just the weather." She began softly trying to speak in a more soothing voice to calm down. "He was fairly nice, but sometimes it feels like I need to pass a test for him or something." She said continuing more so rambling on a bit and she shook it off. "Probably just all up in my head." She mentioned and as soon as they pulled away from their embrace a little bit.
I would've thought that Jax would have been here by now. Vivian's always late so don't expect her for another few days or so," He said replying to her question of a bet and she gave a small laugh at his joke about his sister. She watched as her boyfriend soon began to sat down on his bed. She soon stood there in front of him as he asked his next question about what they should do now. Essie smiled, "Well, I think we should could Katy, one of her presents early, I think it'd make her very happy, plus she's always so adorable." Essie said with a lightened up face, as she was truly excited to see Aidan's little sister. Even if she could be bratty sometimes, but honestly all kids have that side to them, and Essie knew how to deal with it anyways. "I imagine, she's looking for you anyways."
Riane shook Celeste's hand with both of her own. "It's nice to meet you, Celeste." She let go, and watched Celeste walk up the stairs. She figured she was Aidan's girlfriend. She'd never met either of them, but they didn't seem to want to get to know Riane. They'll like me, she thought to herself. I'll make them. I don't think I'm too hard to like. She turned to John and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Where are my presents?! Aidan always brings me toys when he comes home," Katy said. Riane decided this wouldn't be a good time to intervene, because Katy may throw a fit if, god forbid, Aidan brought no presents along.
Riane kissed John on the cheek and started up the stairs. She needed the kids to like her. John and her hadn't decided how they would announce the proposal yet. Better to break the ice before they find out she's marrying their father so soon after their mother died. She listened for Aidan and Celeste's voices. She knew all the bedrooms were on the second floor. She heard voices behind a door, and knocked. She didn't dare to enter, not wanting to interrupt an inportant conversation. "Can I get you guys anything to drink? Perhaps some tea or eggnog?" She asked from outside the door.
"No, he didn't say anything to me, not anything like that at least. Just the weather. He was fairly nice, but sometimes it feels like I need to pass a test for him or something. Probably just all up in my head," Essie said. Aidan was unsure of how to react to this. Even when his mother was still alive, their family had been somewhat exclusive. It was very hard for people to get into any of their friend groups, nonetheless become part of their own family. Now with his mother being gone, it seemed like his father was making an attempt to increase the security of the family. Well, not counting bringing Riane in...
Luckily Essie changed the topic before he became heated as she suggested they go downstairs and give Katy a gift. "You think we should?" he asked, smiling at the thought of his youngest sister. She was adorable, although sometimes a bit immature for her age, but Aidan loved her to pieces despite it. "What'd you get her anyway?" Aidan had asked Essie to do the gift shopping for his family. There was no way in hell that he'd know what to get his sisters, especially a little girl who seemed to have every toy ever made.
Before she could answer him though, there was a knock at the door followed by an unfamiliar voice who Aidan then matched as Riane. She asked if they wanted anything to drink and while Aidan wanted to tell her to piss off, he bit his lip and stood up and opened the door. "We were actually just about to come down anyway, so we'll help ourselves, but thanks. I'm Aidan by the way. I'm guessing you met Essie earlier..." his voice trailed off as he glanced back at his girlfriend. He wasn't sure how far he could go in terms of small-talk with someone he already knew he wasn't going to like. "Have the others arrived yet?"
There was mutual silence between her and Aidan and she knew that his father being the way he was and his mother being gone, was difficult to cope with. That was part of the reason she had decided to switch the conversation in the first place. She knew eventually he'd get heated up in the process. She knew Rose long enough to have some sort of a conversation with her, she was a lovely women and she seemed to have been the glue that kept the family together and it had been sad with her passing. She couldn't imagine what it'd be like to lose your mother, it was much different than losing a sibling.
When she had mentioned the early Christmas present to Aidan, he seemed to have a bit of doubt about giving his sister one early. There was two parts to the Christmas present she had picked out for Katy and she was looking forward to seeing Katy open them. She knew that it probably wouldn't compare to the presents that John had probably gotten Katy but she still tried and had the little girls best interest in mind. "Well I got her two gifts because I remember last Christmas she was excited to get one early when you first came in the door, and she's a little kid, they love having presents early." She smiled and then she had been going over to her one bag by the window and she had heard him ask what she even got Katy and she turned and was about to answer him when she heard the knock at his door.
Soon came a voice that she had just heard downstairs, it was an older and feminine voice so she knew it was Riane since she didn't see either one of Aidan's siblings show up with their other halves yet. She sighed softly and then the watched as Aidan got up to answer the door. He had been mentioning that they were just going to go down stairs. While he spoke to Riane, and she knew it wasn't going to be in the best manner, she rummaged through the gifts she had and she pulled Katy's out just in time to look out the window and see a car pull up. She watched as Jax got out and she smiled. She heard Aidan's question and came up to him. "Well your brother Jax is here now." She said smiling and then turned to Riane and gave her a polite smile. "Greetings again, Riane." She said politely, since she had to see this through and not judge Riane just yet. There was almost more to a story than the cover after all. Not that she agreed with the match up but if it made them both truly happy, then she wouldn't say anything. "Ready to go down stairs?" She asked the two clearing her throat a bit.
Aidan nodded to Celeste and couldn't help but to smile slightly at the awkwardness. He hoped that Riane felt awkward. He didn't know the girl but for God's sake, she could be his girlfriend, not his father's. The girl was what... twenty something? Add twenty years and then it'd be an appropriate relationship for his father but this was just ridiculous. Aidan decided he'd have to turn on Katy's brat mode later in the night and show Riane that she didn't want to be a part of the Essex clan. Immature? Maybe. Worth it to preserve his mother's dignity? Definitely.
They must have just missed Jaxon on their way down, because Aidan heard a door close quietly as they exited the room and when they got downstairs, Vivian and another girl were walking into another room, leaving him alone with his father, Essie, Riane and little Katy.
A smile instantly appeared on his face when he spotted his youngest sister. "Look who it is!" he exclaimed with a smile, taking Essie's hand and leading her towards the little blonde. "Princess Kathryn Rose, looking as pretty as ever," he continued, letting go of Essie for only a moment to get onto his knee and embrace his sister in a tight hug. He stood up, studying the child for a second. For a moment he wondered how she had been for the past four months without anyone there besides his father. Who was there to help her get dressed in the morning and brush her hair? Play dolls with her and take her shopping? Certainly not himself, Vivian of Jaxon. Only having called a few times since his mom died did leave him feeling guilty, but he just couldn't bring himself to dial their number knowing that his mother's warm voice wouldn't be on the other end of the line. However, he then remembered that Riane had entered the picture, probably not long after his mother had passed. Hell, it could have been before she had even died, or maybe even before she was sick. Aidan wouldn't put it past Riane.
He turned back to Essie, a light smile returning to his face at the sight of his girlfriend. "Doesn't Essie look beautiful too, Katy?" he asked with a grin. Essie had met Katy before and from Aidan's point of view, they seemed to get along well enough. He hoped so at least. Katy could be a bit of a trouble maker at times and the last thing that they all needed was more bad energy in the house.
It was hard for Katy to contain her excitement knowing that she would be getting so many presents in so little time, but she nodded in response to her father. "Okay daddy!" She said happily as he set her down. Before he was able to open the door to reveal her siblings, Katy had darted out of the front room and into the large living room. It was decorated so elegantly, almost as if her mother was still alive and well. There were holly and garlands lining a huge mantel that hung over a burning fire, a tree that was covered in the prettiest of decorations and lights which towered over the small girl as she approached it.
Her American Girl Doll Isabelle sat on one of the chairs in front of the fireplace and Katy took a seat next to her after grabbing her iPad from the coffee table. She pulled up the NORAD tracker, searching to see where Santa was. The page read that he and his reindeer were in Tallin, Estonia. Katy had no idea what or where that was, but knowing that Santa was on his way made her smile and she set the iPad down and ran back to her father.
"Daddy! Santa's in a place that starts with a "T" and he's coming here soon, right?" she asked, pushing past Riane who was too close to her dad for Katy's liking. She didn't even notice Aidan until she heard his voice and then felt his embrace. Her smile widened. She loved Aidan. He was always very fun and brought her the coolest toys and prettiest clothes. She had decided long ago that she was going to marry him when she grew up.
"You look pretty, Essie," Katy agreed, only after being called a Princess by her brother. "Did you see Santa in the sky when you taked your plane from Chicago?" she asked the pair.
