Fine, I will just go look on my own again, see how Nuka feels after he realizes he lost me again, Kovu thought, disapearing into the brush. Nuka had been ranting time and again how Kovu couldn't find anything, and how could he expect to become "King" when he couldn't even catch a bite to eat. Like he had any chance, Nuka, kept scaring away any animal that had been foolish enough to dwell in the Outlands in the first place. So that is why Kovu got away from him, he would be the one dealing with again. This time, he thought, I won't stick up for him, its his fault really!

Kovu walked through the reeds that grew near the river, looking for something, anything, that he could eat. His ears perked up, there was something there. Stalking slowly through the brush like his mother had shown him, he moved silently, growing closer to the source of the noise. At last, he saw it, a heartbreaking sight. A young antelope, wounded in the leg, was laying down facing away from him, a perfect target. Only it was just across the river. In the Pridelands. Kovu winced as he remembered the day before, when Simba came and roared at him, threatining him. All he had done was seek safety from the alligators in the river, it wasn't like he was going to kill his daughter. His daughter...Kiara? That was it. He should have remembered her name, they had shared a near-death experience! It wasn't like they had long to get aquainted though, with Simba ruining even a simple greeting. At least Zira had been there, before Simba decided to kill him. After all, it was in Simba's nature to kill things, like Scar, as his mother had said. Kovu watched sadly as a group of lionesses came and killed the antelope, dragging it away. Like they needed anymore food. They seemed well fed and happy, the least they could do is through a scrap over here once in a while. All that will change when he becomes king, or at least that is what Zira said. Oh well, Kovu thought, might as well find something to show why I am late to returning back. Kovu turned and walked paralell to the river, looking for a way to scrap up a meal.

"Daddy, Mommy, I'm going to go play, okay? Love you goodbye" Kiara said running off to the tall field grass. she jumpped and played around the tall grass chasing random things, from swaying grass to birds flying close to the ground "hey come back I want to play" kiara giggled as she jumped up to grab a butterfly that fluttered in the air, a few feet above her. At this point Kiara didn't know where she was, but she never really cared. She stopped chasing the butterfly and looked around at the rotting grass. "Wow the Outside land" Kiara said to herself trotting slowly around the ground "This is so cool, I wonder why, zazu and daddy didn't want me coming here?" Kiara asked with a big grin on her face, as she walked through the grass.

Butterflies never made a good meal, Kovu thought as he watched it fly overhead, I would rather have termites, the seemingly only food around here. Kovu walked out of the grass, to the bank of the river, looking at the murky water below. Not about to go down there again, he thought. He noticed pawprints in the mud, and put his foot in one of them. They matched up, these must be his from yesterday. He saw the other tracks going next to his, must be Kiara's. Strange, there seemed to be twice as many of Kiara's pawprints than his, almost like should had been this way more than once. He finally convinced himself to forget about it and walked over to the riverbank, a small ledge leading down to the river, and saw an alligator below. Finding the biggest rock he could find, he pushed it down on top of the alligator, hearing a satisfying Crack! "Ha! How do you like it!" he yelled down at it, smiling.

Kiara looked at the young lion cub push a rock off the clift, they almost got hurt at yesterday, it was Kovu, she watched carefully as she kept her body close to the ground, she planned on pouncing on him. Kiara let out a low growl and moved her back paw, causing her to step on a twig, and snapping it in two, She started to get unpatient and came out from her hiding spot, and let out a small roar at Kovu, hopping to make up for the slight bludder with the twig.

Kovu, still looking down at the confused alligator, heard a snap behind him, followed by a short growl. Sounded almost like Vitani, and had the same gait too. It had to be her. Had she really followed me out here, he thought. I suppose she was looking for a rematch for our interrupted fight yesterday. He continued looking down without looking back and said "Vitani, come check this out. This gator didn't know what just hit him!"

Kiara notice that he still thought that she was his sister that he told her about. Kiara walked over around to the other side of the field, to make sure he still thought she was his sister. She walked over to the river's edge and sat next to it, looking down at the river and seeing the alligator "Nice one, Kovu. Is that the one that almost ate you yesterday"Kiara said in excitment.

Was that his sister? She sounded a little different. He looked up to look for Vitani, but didn't see her behind him like he thought. She was over behind some brush next to the water, almost out of sight. Why was she avoiding him? "Yep, let's see how he likes to eat that. So why did you follow me anyway Vitani, is it because you love me so much, or is mother looking for me again? I bet it is the first one, right?" he replied sarcastically, looking back to the water. Probably not either one, especially the second, he thought, I just got out here. It would take her at least a little time to find me. Besides, going back to beat up by Nuka was not something he looked forward to.

Kai looked at Kovu and saw another lion near him. Why did he call her Vitani? She wasnt his sister. She looked like she came from the pridelands. Kai just sait in wait, waiting to see what would happen.

Kovu wondered why she was ignoring him and turned around. He almost jumped out of his skin in excitement when he saw Kiara. "What are you doing here...I thought your dad was going to lock you up..." he asked.
"Yeah, but we never finished our fight Kovu." she said, at the ready.
"Really...your on!" Kovu said tackling her.
Rolling over and over into the grass, the eventually came to the feet of Kai. "Whoa, hi Kai...havn't seen you all morning!" Kovu said to her, which Kiara took advantage of his attention not being on her and pinned him.
"I win!" she cried happily.

Kai then pounced on Kiara and pinded her down "No i win" She said with saticfactory she lookes at kovu still holding Kiara down "Ya i saw you talking to Kiara"

"So do you give up kiara?" Kai asked kiara

"Yeah..." she said reluctantly, "though you have more practice, I have no one to play with"
Kovu felt bad for her, almost as bad as he felt about himself, wasting away his cubhood training.

Final Kai got off of Kiara. then she bounded up to Kovu. "did you get beet up by your brother again?" She asked kindly

"If so i could go beet him up i could tell him not to mess with you." Kai said in desperate atemts to cheer him up. she hated it when Kovu was sad. ((oh btw the mistake when i said Kai liked nuka i mean kai didnt like nuka and she kiled kovu.))

"Er..,I guess you could call it that. Vitani is bit funner to fight than Nuka, a little softer around the edges. But you don't always get what you want..." he responded, glancing at Kiara. He then realized what he was doing and turned away, and said "No it's fine, termites beat him up enough already."

"haha ok then hey you wana play hide and seek?" Kai asked them both playfully.

"Oh ya kiara arent you supost to be with your father?" Kai ased Kiara

"Yeah, but he'll probably send his two dopey minions to ge me soon. Why, you trying to ge t rid of me?" Kiara giggled.

Kai looked afended "No i was just wondering so you wana play or not?"

"Sure...I'm hiding already anyway." Kovu responded, still slightly out of it. Seeing that Kovu was going to play, Kiara also happily agreed.

"Fine ill be it" Kai said slightily

Kai went to find kovu and tried finding him in the bushes.

Kovu took off into the grass, while Kiara thought it would be clever to cross the log over back into the Pridelands and hide there.

Kai stalked up to kovu and pounced on him and yelled "Found you!"
