For all eternity there has been the tale of Heaven fighting Hell, Dark fighting Light, Good struggling with Evil. He longed to broaden his horizons and experience how humans lived their lives under the sun. But while there are beings of light and beings of dark they aren’t as clear cut as they are painted to be, both beautiful both deadly. With his personal guardian at his side, the prince desires to gain their emotions to live amongst humans. The Asher have been those who, humans were created from. These beings want only to guide their pets and watch their creation grow, but can this be their only desire? The Venimen were once Asher who were banished to a world of blackness and ice for their jealousy and vanity. After their banishment the Venimen sought to cause the downfall of humanity, but first they must gain the ability to feel. They plot to destroy humanity through the warping of human emotions until there is little distinction between human and Venimen and the veil separating the two worlds fails.

Audrick is the most recent born of the Venimen. His father, the leader of their race bred his son through mating with a human woman with the hope being that his son’s human blood will allow him to steal the coveted emotion prize. Now that Audrick is 18 he is being sent to the human realm to seduce a girl to steal her ability to love, but nothing is ever so simple Cry Havoc And Let Loose The Dogs of War. Accompanying him will be Eden his guardian and Bastiaan his friend. The prince can never fall in love with a human. It's a gold rule amongst Venimen, they are never allowed to actually develop romantic feelings for humans less they lose sight of their ultimate goal. This is becoming more difficult with the younger generation’s growing ability to feel.

The Asher have caught knowledge of this plan and assign two of their own. Beings who have reached 18 as well, known as angels, have been charged with overseeing the destruction of this plan as quietly as possible so as not to disturb the human realm. Amongst the humans there is a Hunter. One who’s bloodline is directly descended from the original Human. The Hunter watches for disruptions in the veil and passes along the ability. Unfortunately the old Hunter has died before he could pass the secrets on to his daughter.
