The Grandmaster of Godka Nomu
Ethan has short brown hair and steel gray eyes. He is muscular, but it is not a huge power lifter muscular. It is the muscle that comes from a martial arts lifestyle, functional and powerful. He has a very defined six-pack, and can take many punches.
To get a picture of what he looks like, picture a mix of Brandon Heat from Gungrave and Eric Draven from The Crow (minus the face make-up).
Ethan loves the martial arts, but believes whole-heartedly in the concept of self-defense. He fights only to defend himself and those he cares about. He is kind and generous, and not exactly the macho tough guy that every other fighter seems to be. He does not like to engage in fights, but will defend himself. He does not hold grudges against opponents, and will be the first to say kind things about them.
Following his promotion to Grand Master, Ethan has become even more kind hearted and trustworthy. Practically a god, his heart is not just made of gold, but it is also pure. Love and brotherhood emanate from him, smoothing the hearts of even the most hardened warrior. In short, Ethan is everything a hero should be.

Ethan grew up in a middle-class family in Manhattan, New York. They were not rich by any means, but they were loving, and raised Ethan into a fine young man. When he was eight years old, he entered the martial arts, and by the time he was eighteen, he was a black belt in both Kobayashi Shorin-Ryu Karate and Cesar Gracie's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. At age nineteen, he received an invitation from Chujin Gitei, Grand Master of Panka, or Godka, and director of its temple, to come to Thailand and train under him personally. Ethan jumped at the chance to become a Master of the greatest martial art in the world. He left immediately, and began living and training in the Temple of Panka.
Always the fast learner, Ethan breezed through the training, and was soon an honored Master of Panka. He was one of two candidates to be named successor to the art. The other was Junichi Machiba, an honorable warrior who had trained just as long and hard for this opportunity. Grand Master Gitei sensed Machiba's ambition, and awarded the successorship to Harris instead. Enraged by this perceived affront, Machiba left the temple and was not seen again for months. Ethan received an award scroll, and soon left the temple, as well, to travel the world.
Ethan first visited Brazil, then went to Japan. He tried to enroll in the Tora Ryuu school, but because of his American lineage and lack of Japanese connections, he was instead sent to the Ijimekko school. His fighting talent soon became known, and after winning one hundred consecutive street fights, he was awarded the title of "Bancho". Ethan soon dreamed of being a contender in the UFC, and began crafting his performance style. He had twin Old West style Colt .45 revolvers tattoed on his chest with the barrels crossing, and gained the nickname "The Assassin" for the shooting movements he did at downed opponents. This was all just a performance, however, and he always made sure due care was given to his opponents.
In Japan, Ethan befriended Jay and Willow, two warriors who helped him find the semblance of life as a normal teenager. However, Ethan's past caught up with him when Machiba returned to fight Ethan...to the death. At the same time, Willow, who Ethan had fallen in love with, was facing enemies from her past, as well. When she killed the pet of one of her enemies, Ethan snapped and attacked her. Ethan had always been taught to treat animals as sacred creatures, and this murder was seen as an affront to him. He left an "x" shaped scar on her face, intending to leave it there for the rest of her life.
However, mere hours later, Ethan felt intense shame for the barbaric act he had inflicted upon a woman he thought he had loved. In his morose state, he exiled himself from Roppongi, seeking more training from his Master. Machiba went on a rampage, destroying half of Roppongi and sealing off the Ki energies of Jay and his ruthless cousin, Clyde. Ethan gained wisdom and god-like power from Grand Master Gitei, and became the first Grand Master of the renamed Godka Nomu. Ethan atoned for his sins by healing the physical and emotional scars of Willow, and by revealing his love for her. He is now on his way back to Roppongi to engage his nemesis in honorable combat, a fateful decision that could cost him his life.
Ethan and Machiba decided to settle their differences on the Training Field at the Temple of Godka. Jay and Willow were transported there to watch the epic struggle. Machiba fought hard, but Ethan's superior fighting skill and attainment of the status as a Human-God allowed him to subdue his foe. Machiba asked for an honorable death as a warrior, but Ethan refused to grant that request. His own personal creed of never killing his opponents superceded the Godka Pledge and drove Machiba to the breaking point. He charged Harris in an attempt to force a kill, but Ethan had expected this and countered with the Hundred Fists technique. Machiba was defeated, and has not done much but wander through the desert where he landed since.
In the Post Machiba Period, Ethan relaxed and spent time with Willow, with the two achieving a breakthrough when Willow agreed to tell him about her past. She revealed that she ran with a gang called the Lizards, and mentioned that her brother Michael was missing. Ethan revealed that Michael was dead, and the two traveled to New York to claim his body from the morgue. However, they were too late. Theodore-James, or TJ, the head of The Lizards, got to him first. This led Willow to go to her old hideout and engage in her own Machiba battle with TJ.
TJ was nearly defeated, but before Willow could land the coup de grace, her old partner Matt Cutter dragged her off. Ethan saw through TJ's lies and beat him almost to death. He saved Willow and protected the junior Lizards from Matt while she killed them. He took her to a Doctor named Mac the Weasel after she was shot in the liver. However, when Willow tried to burn evidence of an abortion, and Ethan mistook it for murder evidence, she exploded on him and pushed him away permanently. After that, Ethan decided to forget about love and focus on being a Godka practitioner.
After the funeral of Michael Smith and the fulfillment of two other promises, he is going to train Jay to be his successor. Once Jay is ready, they will defeat Machiba and Clyde forever, with Jay taking down Clyde as his Machiba battle. Ethan will then reveal a secret about Kyle that he has kept for some time. After that, he will ascend to the heavens. Ethan and Willow will never reconcile, but they will remain good friends throughout the roleplay. Ethan will be watching over Jay from the Realm of the True Gods as the young warrior he trained fulfills his ultimate destiny.
