Introduction
There’s always two sides to a story. Usually, we hear about the good side, however, this is about the dark side. Not too long ago in the world known as Lado, plague had spread around the planet contaminating all life. The illness that plagued the world caused humans mental illness, making them naturally violent by nature and began to kill each other and the planet. They betrayed the trust of the Spirits of the land and broke all the rules of the planet. The humans tortured the forests, the spirits, animals, insects, their homes, children, and each other. The planet was dying and the Spirits could not stop them, so they created five immortal individuals whose purpose was to save the planet. The individuals were spread around the planet, each assigned a continent to protect and save. They were born and discovered by the humans who were appalled by their strange and distinct appearances. They dubbed the immortal individuals as “Freaks”. The humans captured each individual and immediately chained them and placed them in cages. They tortured the immortals who had not been given enough time to learn of their powers that would of saved them from the humans. The humans set the Freaks up as showcases, becoming sources of entertainment and almost circus like. When the Freaks began to learn of their powers through their anger and hatred, the humans would then infuriate the Freaks even more just to get them to use their power calling them tricks. The Freaks were treated like animals. They grew only to the age of 25, not aging past those years. They grew to be filled with hatred and bitterness towards the human race but were unable to escape because they were unaware of their full potential with their powers.
One individual, who went by the name of Vance, grew to be extremely intelligent and clever. For a long time he studied the individuals, learning their ways and behaviors. One human he particularly watched was his “caretaker”, the man he loathed the most out of anyone. He knew his caretaker held the keys to his chains and the man would come into his cage every morning to irk Vance and yell vile things to him. Vance was aware of the power with him which was fueled with fury and pride. He knew a few tricks but needed to do more in order to take down his caretaker. He practiced every night trying to shoot disk like balls of energy and practiced his aim and accuracy. Vance became very good at this trick then thought of ways to make his caretaker angry and try to throw a punch at him. One morning when his caretaker came into his cage he repeated the vile words that the caretaker would usually say to him, his plan worked and the caretaker went to go punch him in the face. Vance then launched his disks of energy knocking the man unconscious and leaving the man’s keys on his belt resting on the ground before Vance to take. Vance freed himself and exited the cage, going on a rampage and destroying the town he resided in. He killed all the humans living in the town and left the town to ashes, getting his revenge on the greedy and nasty humans. He then searched around the world for the other individuals created by the Spirits and freed each of them. Together, they formed a faction called Twisted Entities, with Vance leading them, and they agreed to annihilate the human race on Lado. With the humans gone from the world, soon the plant life and creatures of Lado began to become plagued by the illness the humans suffered from. The creatures became rabid and violent killing and hunting each other. The plant life began to decay into sludge and toxins that poisoned the air of Lado.
The Twisted Entities faction took a liking to a castle in the center of Lado, shielding it together with their powers and the protection of their creators from any outsiders and intruders. The Spirits commended their creations for teaching the human race a valuable and devastating lesson. The Spirits had also grown to hate the humans after their betrayal and mistreatment of their creations. However, Lado was a dying planet, close to it’s end. Once everything died the planet would explode and cease to exist. The Spirits told their creations that there are other planets within the galaxy, other planets also holding human life. They knew that once the planet died, so would the Spirits residing on Lado, but the Spirits wished for their creations to thrive and continue to live. The faction agreed that they needed a new home because Lado would soon no longer be suitable. The Spirits told their creations stories about the galaxy, and how the human planets used to communicate with each other but differences in government, control, and economics caused them all to divide and live on their own accounts. The Spirits then granted their creations powers that would allow them to open portals that would travel through space, to other planets, and to return to their home in Lado.
The Twisted Entities faction continued to practice their powers and learn of their unique individual abilities. They traveled through space and to the human planets, searching for a suitable planet that had everything they needed to survive. They eventually found the human planet called Eshara. Eshara was a beautiful planet, however, it was behind in technology and not as nearly advanced as the other human planets. The faction chose this planet to conquer and frequently visited the planet, blending in easily with the human race. They began to learn of Eshara’s history and origins. Centuries ago, the Esharan people used to dwell and live along side dragons. They lived together in harmony and grew to be close in bonds. But, when war broke out between the kingdoms of Eshara, it devastated the planet and caused massive destruction because of the use of dragons in battles. The Spirits of Eshara eventually viewed the dragons to be too dangerous for the planet and created their own immortals to banish the dragons. The immortals formed a faction as well, then selected a continent, evicting all humans out of it and built a large camp that would hold all the remaining dragons. The dragons were each captured and forced into this camp, banished into eternal slumber. They were locked away by sacred magic the immortals created. The only way to enter the dragon camp is by placing the 5 Dragonian Orbs into the slots of the front entrance of the camp. The Dragonian Orbs were scattered throughout Eshara by the immortal faction. The immortal faction currently guards and resides in the dragon camp making sure no one dares to awaken the beasts that reside in the camp. They control the entire continent and have made it their own home.
The Twisted Entities faction loved the idea of dragons and wanted them as allies. They then learned of one of the most fierce dragons who was the leader of the dragon race, his name was Peluda, a dragon who breathes fire and acid. Vance then told his comrades that Peluda was the key to conquering Eshara. However, the immortal faction on this planet stands as a major threat to the Twisted Entities faction. The Twisted Entities faction currently explores Eshara trying to learn the land well and find clues as to where they can find the Dragonian Orbs. However, once the faction gets their hands on the first orb, the immortal faction of Eshara discovers their presence leading to major war, hatred, and constant threats to all their lives. The immortal faction of this planet will not let the Twisted Entities faction take over their planet. But they do not come in conflict until much later.
THE SETTING
The setting of the story is completely fantasy but the characters and humans are more so in a medieval era. There are castles, cities, towns, and villages in the human worlds. In Lado these places are now in ruins. The characters and humans use weapons such as swords, katana, nunchucks, fans, shields, spears, and so on for battle. So keep that in mind for your characters. And also keep in mind your characters will have special powers as well as weapons.
The Twisted Entities faction has their headquarters in Lado, where they took over the nicest castle in Lado and made it into their home. The castle is covered with a dark force field to keep any invaders outside the castle grounds. No one can enter the castle grounds but them.
Eshara is the thriving human world that the faction is interested in conquering. Eshara is full of beautiful grasslands, plains, meadows, villages, towns, cities, forests, waters, and so forth. However, there is a lot of poverty in Eshara, so most humans are poor and are peasants. Only Kings, Queens, Princesses, Princes, and Lords live in castles. Castles are only located in cities.
About Twisted Entities Faction
The members of the faction have all already aged to 25 years and they are all the same exact age so that is not going to be included in the character application. Also, each member has their own individual ability. The slots of the roleplay are going to be filled by abilities taken not by any status because each of the members including the leader are equal in power and age. Vance was only made leader

because he was able to free each of them.
The faction members also have spiritual powers alongside their individual abilities. They each have been given a certain amount of power from their Spirit Creators making them partially living and solid spirits themselves. The Spirit power is what makes them immortal. So besides their abilities, any of them can draw energy from their inner Spirit power source and use that energy in attack forms.
Also, the members of the faction look almost just like humans so make sure your descriptions are human like. However, the characters can have ancient markings on them or elf ears or even claws if you’d like. But nothing crazy that is really far from human.
Once I get the character slots filled, I’m going to discuss with everyone some extra info I’ll be adding afterwards so I’ll let all of you know when roleplay is going to start and I’ll be posting the first post.
The Abilities:
Remember, you are limited to only ONE ability.
(TAKEN BY echored) Space Creature: You are a space creature, of the species Aduro. You came from the planet called Artio and you’re currently a traveling space nomad. You had been banished from Artio after your Elders were slaughtered who ruled over the Aduro, they were killed due to political conflicts within the planet. Since then, you’ve been traveling in search of a new home planet to live in, but grew to enjoy the travel and have seen many worlds. You have a life span of 550 years and you have your own unique abilities. You have the ability to float and create burning lights (fire) in any place, including atmospheres with no oxygen. You have no gender and can be referred to as he/she. You also travel through space through dimensions and portals which is how you run into the Twisted Entities Faction on one of their missions. Intrigued by their unique appearance and strength, you decide to tag a long with them. Since you have such a long life span, you are incredibly intelligent, being able to speak fluently in many languages and dialects because of all the planets you’ve traveled to and seen. You just so happen to know about the planet Eshara, and the human race and the dragons that reside there. You used to be friends with a dragon back when they roamed Eshara freely and learned of the dragon history and how they actually roamed Eshara before the humans. You eventually become the faction’s key to conquering Eshara holding valuable information about the dragons and the planet. You also know about the Dragonian Orbs and even how to use them, which is why the faction needs her. However, you don’t share all your information until later when the faction discovers the dragons and Dragonian Orbs, which sparks your memory and makes you extremely useful and a guide to the faction.

She could understand distrust, truly, it made more sense than most things. Distrust and wariness were necessary. Antagonism was not. It was petty, and dangerous. Even so, the Aduro's reaction did not endear it to Kiera, and she suppressed a growl that might have made Kaine proud. Her friends were being threatened, and Kiera's fingers tightened in the folds of her dark blue gown before she shifted position, moving to stand between where Falwich and Gabbe were. Needlessly combative or not, at fault in the confrontation or not, they were her friends, and it was they she would defend until she drew breath no longer. A melodramatic sentiment, perhaps, but when heath is a very real possibility, when you know it quite so well as Kiera did, such thoughts might well be appropriate as well.
Her message was clear: I said I believed you, not that I trust you. They are not yours to harm. None of them belonged to anyone anymore, and now that they could fight to ensure they were not trodden upon, she at least intended to do just that. Really, she wished the situation would defuse, but it did not seem likely at the rate things were going. There was just an untenable clash of personalities being pitted against each other here, and it was beginning to show the ways in which the five of them were still not united. She disliked the feeling of being conflicted so very, very much, but no matter how she willed it, she could never bring herself to see these things in black and white. Not after what had happened.
Kiera forced her hands to relax, releasing the heavy fabric in which they had clenched, trying to smooth out the harder lines of her facial expression. She was no diplomat, but sometimes it was more about what you were willing to say than what you could say well. "It is hard to believe something without proof, when you have been lied to for the duration of your existence." It wasn't an excuse, but neither was it an apology, merely a fact.
Kaine, in that strange way he had, seemed to find a solution in the most unusual of ways. Specifically, he walked over to Vance, said something that Kiera did not hear, and promptly disappeared. Of all the things they could do, she had never seen such a thing, and for a moment suspected he had transformed into a very small animal, perhaps accidentally under the stress, and scanned the floor for an insect or a rodent. Not finding anything, she looked back up at Vance, voice surprisingly collected considering the situation. "What just happened?"

"You've assumed," Gabbe spoke slowly and clearly, keeping her tone in check. She paused, watching the woman with wary eyes. "You've assumed that we would welcome you willingly to our planet. You chastise me for being rude to you and yet you fail to guard your own tongue. This is our home. It is you who should fix your words if you wish for us to respect you. If you believe we should simply trust you straight away, well you're wrong." Her tone was bland, as though she was deliberately trying not to be rude to her. "You know nothing of our past. You know nothing of what has made us the way we are. All of us have reason to suspect you. All of us have reason enough to be rude to an entity that could cause us damage. You say you do not mean to harm us, but I shall not believe your word until I see reason to believe it. And I shall trust you even less." Standing up, she crossed her arms, as if that settled the matter. Really, she didn't care if she was being rude or insensitive. It matter little to her. This woman was nothing to her and hopefully never would be.
When Kaine spoke to Vance, Gabbe watched the pair, keeping her eyes avoided from the others. "I agree with Falwich, we have other matters to discuss-" But then Kaine just disappeared and Gabbe stopped dead in her sentence, not quite believing what she had just seen. "What the hell?!" She gasped, her eyebrows shooting upwards as she sprang to the spot where Kaine had disappeared.
"Where did he go?!" Gabbe asked Falwich mentally, glancing his way. "Has he ever done that before? Normally she would have voiced the questions, but not with the woman present. She didn't want her to know any of their secrets if she could help it. Even still, she shot Vance and Kiera a quizzical look. Could they all do that? Or was it something Kaine could do alone? She didn't think she's ever seen him do it before. But that didn't meant anything.

"Enough of this!" He spoke sharply. His attention was more so directed at his faction than Elei'mei. "Indeed we all have reason to not confide in outsiders, but mistrust does not require hostility. How do you all expect to fare out on Eshara threatening every stranger you see? We'll be discovered in no time."
His eyes melted furiously into each of their faces. He did not want to be harsh on the faction with such a touchy subject, but he realized they were all growing too comfortable in this so called "home". It was time he stepped up in being their leader and do his best to prepare them both physically and mentally for anything in outside worlds. He wasn't exactly sure himself what to expect on this other planet. For now, they would only visit Eshara and acquire information of the planet. Elei'mei would make a great asset to their expeditions if she really does contain valuable information that she claims to have. He had heard of dragons on Lado, but they were mythical creatures of folklore. They were not real in the slightest, only imagined as greatly feared beasts with devastating breath attacks. It was these creatures he would not know how to prepare his faction for, but Elei'mei could. He knew humans well and their typical behaviors, it wouldn't be hard to tiptoe around them and blend in the masses. However, the faction's thick=headedness and ignorance was beginning to tick him off. None of them were able to take a hint or realize his logic here. Not to mention Vance was quite bored with this world. There was nothing left here, no purpose for them anymore. He longed for change, and change was standing before him in this very room.
His focus then stood on Gabbe and Falwich with his eyes piercing through theirs. They reflected his determination, mischief. confidence, and a plead. He opened the channels of his mind to Falwich in hopes he could make his friend ease his stance. Falwich, I know you do not trust Elei'mei, and you have every right not to. But I am asking you to back down from this aggressive demeanor. Do you really think I am welcoming this creature just for the hell of it? Open your eyes Falwich, she proves useful. Now stand down, and get Gabbe to do so as well. You're both starting to step out of line. This isn't your typical get together and both your behaviors are making us out to be ignorant amateurs. At this thought, Vance flashed a glance of warning towards Falwich.
His gaze paused for a long moment and then he felt Kaine's hand grab his shoulder. It was odd for a second, energy, no rather a connection being made between them. It was as if a channel of emotions had been revealed and all of Vance's confidences were shared with Kaine. He felt somewhat of a relief that at least now one of his comrades understood somewhat where he was getting at.
“I’m with this group, through and through Vance. I trust your judgment; you will do what is best for us.” Kaine spoke and Vance flickered a slight smile towards him.
“I need to go cool my head,” Kaine whispered. “I’ll return once I have done that.”
Vance nodded, but then Kaine suddenly vanished in glimpses of light. Vance was dumbstruck, not at all certain what Kaine had just did. He could easily tell he wasn't the only one by the others reactions.
"What just happened?" Kiera asked in a puzzled tone.
"What the hell?!" Gabbe gasped.
Vance thought long on this then scratched his head deep in thought. He then recalled his spirit creator, Gwydion. Gwydion had mentioned that their powers would grow and that when necessarily the spirits would bestow new abilities on their creations. Perhaps this was one of them? He then relaxed his shoulders and shoved his hands into his pockets. "Well then, that's new." he mentioned nonchalantly deciding to throw his input in on this one.

The words were harsh and in the end nothing but an order. Falwich was as smart as any of the others, yet he was not wise enough to accept when he was wrong and so he dismissed the words from Vance and continued to throw his own words into the fray, now rapidly beggining to lose control of himself, unsure of where he should focus his growing rage and frustration.
"The past is the past Kaine, unless we wish to stand around telling stories for the rest of our lives then it doesn't matter what happened before. If you want to live in the past then stay here, keep talking and wait for the planet to die with you on it. Me? I'd rather leave and forget this place than turn to dust- Hey! Kaine, I'm talking to you, do not dare to turn your back on me!"
Kaine had started to walk off towards Vance and placed a hand on his shoulder. Falwich had by this point left his seat and took a step forward, only now noticing that Kiera had taken a defensive position between himself and the Aduro, and reached out with his mind, intent on somehow making Kaine hear him out before he left the room. But before Kaine even reached the door he simply disappeared. Falwich's first thought was that he had somehow found a way to transform himself in such a way that he would become completely camouflaged but the mental connection suggested something else entirely.
In a moment the telepath received a blinding image in his mind's eye: The first visual image he had gleaned from another consciousness. He saw a mountainside and the vast expanse of their own homeworld's skies stretching before him. He saw the death which ravaged the lands and he saw a great bird brightening up the sky. Then he saw only darkness and stopped in his tracks, shocked by the vivid view. The sudden breaking of such a connection also left him particularly sensitive to the thoughts of those around him and he heard voices both inside and outside his head, the voices of his faction members, and he found it difficult to separate them.
“What just happened?”
“Where did he go? Has he ever done that before?”
“What the hell?!”
And then Vance, calm as ever even regarding his previous mental message and the growing unease of the situation, simply seeming to accept the fact. Well if that were the case then Falwich would not choose to share what he knew and what he could do. If their own leader could keep secrets, therefore they all could.
So he stepped back, now quieter and just a little disorientated.
"Wherever he's gone I hope he stays there a while. He can catch up with his past and we can talk about moving on for a change."
He slumped back into his chair, all anger washed away and replaced by an increasing sense of frustration and impatience. The sudden change in demeanour would be clear to all but he would choose to keep the details of the reasoning to himself for now. Two members had now been contacted by their spirit creators (At least he assumed that is what had happened to Kaine, for there were no birds of such majesty left in the skies of Lado) and he began to think that it would not be long before they would all be visited upon. He wished this meeting to be over before his own time came, which led to him now sitting motionless with a furrowed brow, mind working feverishly to think about the potential of this new skill he had aquired and the ramifications of having discovered it through anger, as well as what he might say to his own spirit creator at the meeting he now thought of as inevitable.

Had Falwich tried to find him? He had just disappeared from the group a moment ago, so that seemed to be the sensible thought, which the telepath was searching for him, and if he had seen through Kaine’s eyes, he was one more of the lucky few to take on the sights of the majestic fire bird.
Of all the years that Kaine could remember there wasn’t a name given to him by the spirit itself, more or less he just called it by whatever form it took at the moment that he had seen it, though this seemed a bit much, he was bothered by the events that had taken place, the fact that everyone would change, gain, and possibly lose abilities as they lived out their long lives. Had he been wrong moments ago, to lash out at a friend? He couldn’t really keep his train of thought on the matter much; eyes still on the bird.
He had given Vance his word that he trusted his decisions, there was no going back on that now or ever, no matter how harsh the leader sounded, or irrational his decisions seemed. This planet was their home, but it wasn’t going to be around much, of that the faction made sure when they decided on mass genocide of the human race.
He looked down over the landscape, everything looked the way it did because of them, them being the other four that he shared a connection with, everyone knew the risks to be taken, yet still they steered that course, and this was their punishment in a sense. Strangely he didn’t feel anything about that, it was decided that that was the course of action and even with all the cons, the pros still weighed more; they were free, free to do what they wanted, no one to control them, harass them, or undermine their lives, and that was enough.
He felt he should apologize for his outburst earlier, but he would wait, for a better moment than the talk that was probably taking place right now, he should get back.
He thought about the castle again, but not the throne room, one of the many hallways he walked down many times, one near the throne room, walking distance, he had to think on how he would explain his new powers, though in reality he didn’t know anything about ‘em, he simply thought of the location and poof he was there, that wouldn’t sit well in the minds of anyone……
He closed his eyes and thought of the hallway, when he opened them again he was there, within walking distance of the room where all his comrades were, he took his time, almost brooding on what he could say. He stopped staying out of site at the doorway; maybe if he didn’t let the others know he was back they could finish this little debate.
The looks on their faces said everything yet nothing at all. This was the first time Kaine had seen Falwich at a loss of words so much that his brows furrowed, as he sat there silently in his chair. It brought a smile to his face, and killed his thoughts about hiding.
He slowly entered the room behind the others, the only one facing him at the time was Vance, though Kiera was off to one side, she could see him easily as well, Elei still facing the leader.
He was quiet, so as to not bring attention to himself, he leaned against a wall and took in the sites and conversations. This was a time for him to be silent.

The draft of air through the room did not sway the suspended creature even a millimeter, indeed, did not even seem to touch her now, as if the laws of mother nature did not apply to the Aduro. Each of these humans were making Elei question the end outcome of this impromptu meeting. Currently in the middle of the others, she had to revert to a reserved energy just to keep a level mind. Did any one of them have the upper hand here? Any form of control? It appeared not-- the heated emotions and sharp words lingering amongst a mist of distrust. Elei knew it was natural for a lack of trust, but living so long the importance of such suspensions grew unnecessary. She adapted to the next level of survival which was a lifestyle where no term like that was needed; where self reliance and face value got one places.
Elei’mei had seen herself in situations all to familiar to this. It happened upon any first encounter to a new planet, where developed creatures shared communication and therefore other complex actions. Some of those civilizations were advanced to the point of alliances.. having friends, enemies. Like her kind had developed once upon a time. And that development led to war and total destruction. As she traveled to find a new meaning for her life, a possible thread of hope tied to new beginnings, Elei had to confront new organisms that had values based on trust. Jupiono, Eshara, Learies, and on and on... all these planets were the homes of natives that once took caution of Elei. And in time, Elei managed to gain this theory of trust that any complex society developed and through amok. It was a theory that she most struggled with, for her own reserves in trust had been shaken by the hauntings of the Nyx. Always encircled in the beginning, and then always released. Trusted. Not trusted. Words for face value, words of truth and lies. Self reliance verses group reliance. Preservation. This was just another moment. Flashes of the uncountable meetings raced through Elei’s mind, images that held history and experience.
When the room finally quieted down, Kaine had taken leave-- teleporting somewhere. It was in the progression afterwards that Elei recorded each action to memory, glowing eyes engulfed in reading the expressions of the remaining few. They each showed a surprise in the disappearance. Fortunately it made the window of opportunity more assessable to Elei. She could speak again.
“Falwich. I know you are able to infiltrate minds. I could feel you earlier inside,” Elei began slowly, placing her hands on the two sides of her head, cupping her hair gently. “If you do not take my words for truth, why don’t you read my mind? Would that not clear things up?” the question resided, posed very quietly towards the seated man. The memories were still fresh in her mind, and she replayed her travels over and over, wondering if this might be the only way to build common ground. Exposing herself like such was something new to Elei but it didn’t worry her. As the situation stayed, it was clear what was going on. They had no clear direction on where to go after here, and that fear of the unknown was channeled in to her arrival. But she, on the other hand, could tell them vital information if they were willing to treat her with the respect she desired. If they couldn’t come to an agreement, Elei would be able to leave Lado with no problem and continue on her way. And lastly, at the very core of Elei’s current emotions, she still clung to the natural habit of curiosity, of wanting to stick around and see what these unique human-like beings would decide next.
The faint footsteps from behind led Elei to turn around and see that Kaine had returned.

Yes, sense would have made her depart, but misguided loyalty kept her rooted to the spot, a statue behind which some were shouting and in front of which others stared with contained hostility or an oddly haughty sort of entreaty. Vance sometimes made a face when concentrating his thoughts at Falwich, and she figured that was what he was doing now, for the precious good it did, given the mind-reader's reaction. Kiera’s nails dug vicious tracts into her palms, and her brow furrowed over eyes closed for longer than was required to clear them, and still she refused to move. Silly, perhaps, but what else was she supposed to do? She could not talk them down; she had not the skill, nor the authority. What was more, she didn’t really want to. What she wanted was for them to understand that this hostility was getting them nowhere.
A flicker of movement drew her eyes, and she noted Kaine’s return to the room, and she blinked, as though unsure how it was that he’d gotten there, or perhaps uncertain that he was at all. How did a person simply disappear and return as though nothing had happened? He had certainly been gone for a time, but to where was still a mystery. The Aduro’s offer to submit to a mind-reading just having died in the air, Kiera cocked her head to the side.
“Kaine? What happened to you?” To her, this was a more important question than any of those that had yet been asked in the vinegar-laden words of her friends, and that was because it substantively concerned one of them. “Are you all right?” He did not appear injured, but she knew better than most that one did not have to be wounded to feel pain. There were many kinds, and the ones that bled were the least troubling to her, in all honesty.
Something surfaced at the forefront of her mind, a simple flash of an ill-lit face, but she shook it off before it could become any clearer. Not with two touchy telepaths in the room, if ever. It was a little too much to ask for the dead to remain buried, wasn’t it? “Forgive me for saying so,” she prefaced flatly, not sounding particularly apologetic (but then she rarely sounded particularly anything) “but if Kaine just found a way to disappear and reappear, I think the potential solution might be worth investigating as soon as possible?” The slight inflection at the end was a nod to the fact that she never issued anything stronger than a suggestion or statement of fact. Orders were not her prerogative.

It wasn’t until Kiera spoke up, that Gabbe snapped out of her trance, her hand still paused in mid-air. Sparks of energy jumped in her palm, from fingertip to fingertip, but she no longer paid them any heed. Standing quickly, she whipped around to face Kaine, her eyes wide. And just like that, there had was again. That had truly been something. Closing the distance between them, she threw her arms around him in a tight hug. “You scared us!” She exclaimed, a smile flickering across her face brightly. For a second, she almost looked like the normal Gabbe. But in the moment that she let Kaine go, her face had returned solemn. There was no smile and her eyes seemed sad. Kiera was right. Kaine had found a way to disappear in one place and reappear in another. It was interesting and it would help them. But that…That would mean leaving. There was so much energy around Kaine and it had caused a spark between. Maybe, just maybe she could harness this and use it to their advantage. It would be extremely useful to them. If only she could work out just how to do it and how to control it.
“She’s right,” Gabbe whispered, almost to herself. “To do what Kaine just did takes a lot of energy.” She looked up to meet Vance’s eyes, her shoulders set straight, her back taunt with tension. “He left a lot of residual energy in the spot where he disappeared. I don’t know how he did it. But he did. I could try….I could try to recreate the same thing using my energy. But there is no saying how successful I might be.” She cast her eyes to Kaine now, biting her bottom lip. “Unless you can shed any light on how you did it?” She questioned, an eyebrow arched. If anyone was going to be of any help, it would be Kaine. After all, it had been him who had disappeared. He must know something. Anything would help Gabbe...

Suddenly, Kaine reappeared in the hallway leading out of the throne room. He met Kaine's eyes face to face and still Vance remained silent. It wasn't long before the others noticed Kaine as well. He heard Kiera say, "could Kaine perhaps found our solution?" But he only shook his head, his mind filled with turmoil. He rose to his feet and gave one last look to everyone in the room, his face blank, his brows furrowed indicating he was deep in thought.
"If you would not mind, please excuse me Elei'mei." He spoke then strided past the faction and Kaine and exited the room.
Vance found himself in his room. He was staring out the window examining the vast lands of Lado. He heaved a sigh trying to sort a plan together.
"The Lands of Despair indeed," he spoke aloud.
He shook his head again then rushed his hand through his hair shutting his eyes. When he glanced back out the window again, he could not help but notice the air.
"The air is more grim and vivid than usual," he muttered. "How much time do we have left, Gwydion? There's only so much I can do without guidance, I don't even know where to start."
His faction was strong, but in the eyes of an outsider, they were merely weak and ignorant. They were missing something. They reached the end of the aging years of immortals and yet they hardly knew much of themselves. There must be something more. Something he has not provided all this time But, what? If it weren't for his own irrationality, the planet would of never fell in this state. He wouldn't have saved his comrades and they wouldn't have helped him annihilate the human race. It was his fault they were all in trouble. In the end, they were each ultimately the cost of their own lives.

“Kaine? What happened to you?” she seemed a little statuesk but it was normal for her “Are you all right?” Something seemed to wash over her a moment but disappeared, as she continued with an appology and an explaination on what he had just done.. He had noticed Gabbe before she had noticed him or the questioning, she seemed a little bent out of shape, something had washed over her while he was gone....fear......anxiety? He could ususally sense those kind of emotions, they didn't emit off of her strongly but he felt that those could be the only ones at a time like this, though he did feel something else as well, he just had no idea about it.
She suddenly snapped her attention at him, he flinched a moment, the movement was sudden and he wasn't completely prepared for that, that and suddenly she was in front of him hugging him tightly, he felt weak when she did that, a spark of some sort between them, he felt fatigued, but the fact that she had him in her grasp kept him up, he missed what she had said, something about being scared, he felt a little scared at the moment, the teleporting seemed to take alot out of him, but he hadn't felt it till now. He felt better to be around friends but tired, thought the talking didn't seem to end and he noticed that Gabbe was looking at him now, a look of question but he had missed what was asked, man was he out of it.
He let out a faint smile, a look of unknowing on his face.
"I'm sorry," His voice was low but steady. "It seems that the movement takes a lot more out of me than I thought." He leaned into Gabbe a little more but not enough to catch her off guard and lose balance. "I can do it again, but I think it would be best if I rested first." He hadn't noticed Vance leave, until he looked up past Gabbe in the direction he was, it caught him off guard. He looked to Elei, not knowing what else to do at the moment.
"Maybe you could explain the location of Eshara, while I rest, give me a mental picture, and a location to go with it, from what I understand it works on thought, of places I've been or seen before. Other than that I don't know much else, other than it takes a lot of physical energy."
He looked to Gabbe, "If you would please, help me to a chair?"

"I would not give you the satisfaction" he replied quietly. "You've clearly come across beings with my particular talents before and have grown accustomed to mental infiltration. I would not believe your thoughts any more than I would believe your words."
He spoke not with bitterness or resentment but with a sense of resigned impatience that hinted towards him either giving up on his argument after seeing fruitless efforts or that he was waiting on something to happen. To any who knew him it was obvious which it was, and as he turned his head slowly to follow Vance as he walked from the room it was clear his interest was, for now, elsewhere.
Despite his apparent lack of interest in the proceedings he still continued to remain vigilant, until he broke face to give a dry smile and a huff of air through his nose in amusement.
"Yes Kaine, you rest, leave everything else to us. That impromtu spectacle must have really drained you, despite not knowing exactly how it happened." It was a classic way for him to vent anger without expressing aggression. Sarcastic stabs designed to irritate were the only outlet he had at his disposal if they were to harvest any useful information from the Aduro. If it saw them as weak and broken then all the better. He would rather they be underestimated, it would give them a greater advantage were this meeting to come to blows. "And Gabbe, why not succumb to his pathetic act and carry his limp body to a chair. In fact, take mine, I shall prepare refreshments for the dear, poor soul."
At this point he stood and gestured to his chair, slightly bent over in a mocking bow, knowing full well that Kaine did not deserve the abuse he was becoming hell-bent on inflicting. "But why stop there? Let us all kneel before our great Messiah who has all the answers. Tell us Kaine, how do we leave this place? How do we each remove ourselves from this plane and blink into existence elsewhere? Really tell me the details, or do you need help to move your own tongue at this point?"
This, he knew, was crossing a line, and could leave them all in danger of an surprise attack from the stranger in the room. But a snowball had started rolling and the anxiety at being without an answer had combined with the fury of being ignored in his understandable suspicions of Elei' Mei, and Kaine's decision to take charge in Vance's absence whilst making himself out to have performed a willing feat of greatness. Together these feelings hurled all his negativity towards a single target and, though he knew he was making a fool of himself, he could not stop. Not since the days of the humans had he felt so much emotion at once and it was overpowering, even intoxicating. To be cool, calm and cunning was fun but to unleash emotion in such a raw form as spontaneous provocation was addictive. The process was invigorating and the aftermath left him feeling free and unweighted. Last time, thousands had died. This time, he had no idea what might happen. And that forced another ancient emotion to resurface: Excitement.

"Back off Falwich," She hissed, narrowing her eyes as she glanced at him. Her angelic face turned in an instant to one that was fierce. What was Falwich's problem? Why was he venting this sudden anger towards them? Neither herself nor Kaine had done anything to upset him and yet here he was addressing them in a sarcastic manner. She helped Kaine into a chair, before rounding on Falwich. Both of her fists were clenched at her sides, however there were no sparks this time. Vance was not there to sort this matter out. And Gabbe didn't know about Keira, but she certainly wasn't going to just stand there and allow Falwich address them all in such a manner. They were after all a family and it was no way to speak to one another. Kaine had done nothing wrong in the first place. Only disappeared. Besides, she was eager for him to explain to them so that she could start practising. It would seem as though you needed to create an image within your mind in order to jump to that place. But there would be time for that later...
"But why stop there? Let us all kneel before our great Messiah who has all the answers. Tell us Kaine, how do we leave this place? How do we each remove ourselves from this plane and blink into existence elsewhere? Really tell me the details, or do you need help to move your own tongue at this point?"
"How about you keep your opinions to yourself Falwich? We need to be united right now, not turning upon one another. And your sarcastic manner certainly isn't helping anyone, is it? For someone as talented as yourself, you can honestly be pig-headed and stupid sometimes. Not to mention a complete fool. I don't believe you've discovered a way to get us off this dying planet, have you?" Arching her eyebrows, she crossed her arms in a determined manner. "Certainly looks as though Kaine has however. So how about you hear him out before you open your mouth again." Her voice this time was surprising calm, though her brilliantly blue eyes flashed in a dangerous way. They flickered to the Aduro who was still present. At that moment she'd have rather taken on a million of her kind than argue with Falwich.
"We're a family. Don't let her see that we are weak." A silent please for only Falwich. She studied him with wide eyes for a second.
"Now, how about we all listen to what Kaine has to say before we judge this..."

At this point the the Kaine creature returned from his teleportation venture, Falwich snapped and their leader Vance exited the space in what appeared to be frustration. The only person who seemed to have a steady head on their shoulders was Kiera, the woman who claimed to believe Elei'mei and her backstory. The Gabbe girl began to butt heads with the mind reader. The same mind reader that refused to delve into Elei's mind, claiming he couldn't believe her thoughts just as much as her words. Elei never liked people in her mind anyway but it did make the Aduro feel offended by his attitude. Once again she didn't get why she would purposefully mislead them but to each their own.
"Maybe you could explain the location of Eshara, while I rest, give me a mental picture...." Kaine suggested as he was assisted to a chair.
"Eshara? As if any of you all would believe me. As far as I see it, it doesn't seem you humans would believe what was standing directly in front of you, let alone the description of a planet galaxies away. But, it seems I have no choice but to tell you more about the planet," Elei said, ending in a sigh as she stayed at her post amongst the outskirts of the group. Her accent waved in and out, at moments harder to understand than the next.
"It is very similar to the atmosphere of your planet, but of course much healthier. Truly it would be the ideal place for each of you to survive. Getting a mental image of the place won't allow you to jump there though, it isn't that simple. To visit there you will need a link to a guide such as myself. If the link were to break you'd find yourself in space or worse. That wouldn't be a problem for me but I don't believe you all could survive without oxygen. Correct? So if you all are planning on getting out of here before your planet crumbles then you all would have to start practicing your links now with me, and that would require, dare I say, trust. Oh, and the rest of you will need to figure out how to teleport as your member Kaine has. Basically, you have a lot to handle in little time," she ended, a smile on her face as she tilted her head to the side. It was more of a childish grin directed towards Falwich, a counter against his sarcasm and the fact that he would be the hardest to build a link with. He had to be willing, the simple truth.
So there Elei stood, while the other began to talk amongst themselves. The counting began again, her method of documenting the time being wasted on this planet. The desire for destruction was getting harder to ignore. Her head said no, but the magic in her said yes. She didn't want to upset them or scare them anymore than she already had but at the same time it would be so.. rejuvenating to release some pint up magic. If it weren't for this group she would have come and gone without a second thought. And despite how petty they seemed to be, she found them intriguing beyond belief. How could she leave these gifted humans behind knowing they could die without her help? She couldn't, and that was why she stayed. Others needed to see this special breed of humans besides her. It took all Elei could muster up to contain herself. Magic danced at her fingertips. Without being destructive Elei decided on a less harmful avenue: teleportation. Would it be as simple as monkey see, monkey do? If they watched her, maybe it would spark something within themselves. Without a second though Elei disappeared, reappearing behind Kaine. She touched his shoulder. Before Kaine or Gabbe had the chance to react, Elei disappeared again and reappeared next to the standing Falwich. She was hovering at a height that made her a foot taller than the man, looking down at him with her violet beaming eyes as her legs dangled below. Kaine was right about teleporting using a lot of energy, but Elei was old and had enough energy to sustain her for even the longest of journeys. She smirked at Falwich then disappeared again, now reappearing next to Kiera.
"If one of you take my hand, I can teleport you with me. Of course only a short distance," she offered, looking at Kiera and then the rest, wondering what each might be thinking. Elei was getting impatient and wanted to show them Eshara.

Vance left. Simply stood up, and marched out the door, leaving the rest of them there to handle perhaps the single most volatile situation she’d ever found herself in. If she were being honest, she’d admit that he’d left her to handle it, because it seemed that Kaine was exhausted by whatever he’d done and Falwich and Gabbe were doing nothing but making it worse. Kiera’s singular ally in the fight to calm raging tempers might just be the Aduro itself, and there was precious little comfort in that.
She didn’t know what to do. Kiera knew how to kill things, how to raise dead things, and how to keep her mouth shut. Everything else was beyond her expertise, including dealing with the mercurial emotions of those she considered her friends. The entire situation was too absurd, and she felt like a little robin, shoved out of the nest, only one of her wings was broken already, and she knew well enough that in this situation, she could only watch her inevitable plummet towards the ground. She was… what? Frustrated, yes. Perhaps even angry. A little hurt that she seemed to be ignored entirely in her efforts to calm the situation. Mostly, though, mostly she supposed she was despairing at the chances of making this right at all.
Falwich leveled his anger at Kaine, and for the first time that day, Kiera’s carefully-constructed mask broke, and she flinched, her hands slowly curling up into fists, fingernails leaving red furrows in the skin of her palms, biting almost deeply enough to bleed. She was not angry with him, precisely, merely with the situation in general and her complete lack of anything resembling a capability to handle it. They were fracturing, turning on one another like starved dogs, and she was too weak, too entirely powerless to do anything about it. That cut more deeply than any lash, any words ever had. Her rebellion, her escape, were supposed to have been the beginning of a time when she was finally allowed to be strong, and here she was, incapable even of giving voice to the things she was thinking.
Which was, perhaps, why she ultimately honed in on the sound of Elei’mei’s voice. She listened, truly listened, to what the Aduro was saying, and understood the tones of warning that ran a countercurrent beneath the surface of mere exposition. It was not difficult to believe that they needed to leave; she knew that already. With a dread certainty that only those whispering voices at the back of her mind could give her. She did not want to remain here, and yet, and yet, and yet. She was as tethered as the rest of them, perhaps more so. Chained by memories she could not escape, by deeds she could not forgive, by feelings she could not express. She did not close herself off because she wished, to, but because she needed to, lest the corpses far beneath the ground and the spirits lingering in the air feed upon them and rise, unbidden.
She lacked the eloquence to even explain it properly. Or perhaps she only lacked the courage. Either way, it would not be. And so she quenched the spark of temper, cooled the heat of the blood rushing through her veins, muted the heavy sound of her heart thundering in her ears.
Elei disappeared from her vision, but Kiera was not as concerned with this as she could have been. Were the Aduro of a mind to harm anyone too badly, her Death-sense would have warned her of an impending demise, and that part of her consciousness was mercifully quiet. Instead, she followed the appearances and vanishings with her eyes as best she could, apparently unfazed when the creature appeared beside her and threw a smile at one of the others over her shoulder. Falwich, probably.
Please, don’t torment him. she did not know if anyone would hear, but it probably didn’t matter. It would do no more than the rest of her urgings had done, which was precisely nothing.
An idea came to her then, as she watched the floating being and heard its proclamation. Kiera cocked her head to one side, then lifted her shoulders in an elegant shrug and held her hand out. “I should like to experience this teleportation, if I may.” It was a peace offering, or as much of one as she could give. Maybe, just maybe, if the others saw her do this and come away unharmed by the stranger, it would be enough to start a better accord, or at least assuage their most immediate fears about Elei’mei’s intent. It did occur to her that if the worst of the suspicions were correct, she would not survive, but, well… life was risk, and death a certainty anyway.
For a moment, her vision clouded, and she imagined that she was facing another being, hand extended in the most tentative overtures of trust. The hand that had grasped hers then was warm, rough, and attached to someone who smiled far more than she’s thought anyone could. Take my hand; I won’t hurt you, I promise.
If only she could have promised the same.
"Elei'mei," he muttered. "An alien. With so much more knowledge than we put together."
Vance could not help but chuckle. They had been matched with their knowledge. He was beginning to realize how little they actually knew. He wondered if there were even records of other planets in Lado, but were destroyed before they could have even been found. Annoyance began to fumble in Vance's head. If that were so, they would not be so ignorant now, brawling with each other clinging to the last bits of a planet they call home. There was nothing left for them here. He thought long and hard of Eshara. Perhaps it wouldn't be wise to destroy another planet, but to annihilate the human race again would be something. Or perhaps conquer them would provide a better form of entertainment for his faction rather than live this lonely life. Kaine had mastered the idea of teleportation. Vance had only practiced it once himself when he was alone. He never spoke of the new power to his faction until he learned more of it. But they were pressed for time, and he had no choice but to inform his faction of the events to unfold so suddenly. Elei'mei would be a great asset to the faction. Her knowledge was the key to their success. However, would this foreigner get in their way of destroying the humans? The being seemed more conscientious than themselves. More noble. It was a risk he was willing to take. As he decided to trust the Aduro, he also decided he was to size the creature up. For if Elei'mei were to get in their way, he would have to destroy her.
Vance paced the corridors of the broken castle hastily. His thoughts ran around in circles like a carousel. He could hear the echoes of the throne room run down the halls bouncing off walls of arguing. Making up his mind, he decided what his next move was. He made his way back to the throne room his thoughts directed at Elei'mei. At his return he first stood silently assessing the room, glancing at everyone's face. Then he smiled warmly at Elei'mei folding his hands behind his back.
"Elei'mei, I have a proposal for you." he began. "How would you like to join us in our faction?"
He sprung the question without hesitance and knew it would cause even more quarrel amongst his comrades, but this did not concern him right now. He would deal with them soon and put them all back in their place and remind them of who is in charge here.

Elei was pleased by Kiera's response. This sole person was going to take up her offer, and was giving her the benefit of the doubt that no harm would come to her. If only the rest would take note. Especially Falwich. With the go-ahead, Elei'mei took Kiera hand and at that same second, they were gone. Away from the throne room, away from the castle. The two reappeared about a mile away from the doors to their home. They were outside, right in the mist of some of the worst weather Elei has witnessed in a while. She could barely get a breath in without sand and dust particles scratching the back of her throat. Not to mention you could see the air, a greenish tint that only meant toxic fumes. This Earth, once so lush and full of life so long ago, was now a wasteland.
"Tell me something, Kiera. Why is there so much resistance to leave when this... atmosphere.. is in such a state? Beings attach to things which are comforting and warm... this place holds nothing of this thing called comfort, at least not anymore. What once was a place you all called home has been long since gone. There is nothing here." Elei's words weren't harsh nor sensitive. They were simply blunt and curious.
Kiera had held her breath as Elei took her hand, teleporting to where they were standing now. It wasn't until the end of Elei's statement that she finally remembered to breathe. She took a step back, eyes landing on the large doors that led to the castle far off in the distance. Elei was unaffected by the teleportation, for obviously the alien creature was no stranger to such an experience. But that right there was Kiera's first time and there was no denying she felt a little light headed and disoriented. Though not weak, as Kaine appeared to be on his return. Kiera assumed it was because Elei was in control of the teleportation and not herself. She didn't feel any different, and still wasn't sure how she would teleport herself away from this land. As the nauseous sensation in her stomach wore off, she was able to respond to Elei.
"Before you appeared, this planet was all we knew existed. The decay you see... it's been so gradual over time that some of the members in our faction might have turned a blind eye to," Kiera spoke, her words dragging together slowly, something on her mind. She knew for a while the state their planet was in. How could she not? She was a master of life and death, not by choice, but the facts were there. Every life force on this planet had a pulse... and now they only living pulses she can pick up on are that of her faction, this alien, and the slow, faltering pulse of this planet. At any moment the pulse could stop. The overwhelming mix of death and spirits was just as harmful to the life on this earth as water and air were necessary. This knowledge of her home she had always kept to herself. Of course there were many times she wanted to burst out and yell what was wrong, but the thought of Gabbe's face bursting into tears always made Kiera change her mind.
Elei could see that Kiera had a lot of her mind. She took her hand once more and teleported them back inside the throne room. Not even a minute had passed and Vance came back to the room. Kiera found the nearest chair and took a seat, a spinning in her head causing the nausea to return. Elei made eye contact with Vance, seeing that his focus was solely directed at her.
He spoke: "Elei'mei, I have a proposal for you." He began. "How would you like to join us in our faction?"
Elei was never caught off guard, but this question was a winner. Her face faltered, her jaw dropping for a brief second before anyone could really notice. She flew closer to Vance, about a meter or so away. She stared at him seriously, large violet eyes analyzing his features. He definitely appeared serious. It was this realization of his seriousness that caused Elei to break out in laughter. She found herself doing backflips in the air while holding her stomach for it hurt so much from laughing. After a minute or so she calmed down and stood up straight again. She moved closer to Vance, poking his chest with her long index finger, then released, causing her to float backwards away.
"As much as I enjoy watching you creatures, I don't think I can become one of you. I'm too old and jaded for such a thing. But your bold offer and trust has moved me. I'd like to help you in your travels, to find a new home. See me as a guide and I will stay with you all while I can. How is that?" It wasn't exactly what Vance had asked for, but it was on offer he would be silly to resist.
