Belles vs. Valentines

The basic concept of this RP is simple. Two mafias. The Belles, and the Valentines. Detailed descriptions of each are underneath the story in this post. They’re in a perpetual feud, and neither side can ever seem to win. You, and your fellow RPers can make it as complex and as detailed as you wish. There are webs of connections, enemies, rivals, friends and lovers, and that is what keeps this RP going. Mostly I want fighting, and romance, and all that lovely crap the two teens (Daughter of the Belles, and the Son of the Valentines) Should catch each other eye, hence where a lot of fighting comes into the Rp, because they are suppose to be enemies so yeah make this interesting.

Two mafias that were once infamous in California have relocated recently. The reasons were many, and different for each family. The Belles left first, lead by their Don, Stacatto. In the following months, the remaining Belles found themselves bouncing from city to city, looking for just the right place to set up a new reign. Finally, they settled in the city of Verona, a city that very recently sprang up in the mountainous region of Vermont. It was nearly a year later when the more stubborn Valentines followed their Don, Nikki, out of California to a more successful, up and coming city. By the time the Valentines arrived in Verona, the Belles had already made a name for themselves, successfully pushing out most of the smaller crime syndicates that had occupied the city. It didn’t take long for the feud between them and the Valentines to start up again, and even make its beginnings present in the press.

Currently, the Belles reside in a huge mansion on the outskirts of the city, overlooking the skyline, from above, against the bottom edge of a nearby mountain. It’s rather spacious for the number of Belles that choose to occupy it. It is surrounded in the newest technology of “invisible shock fences,” as well as the more old fashioned, austere black latticework fence. The Valentines occupy a decent sized three-story penthouse downtown, above an upscale hotel and casino, accessible only by a private elevator with fingerprint access. The living there is cramped, for a group so used to so much space, and a little closer to the action than anyone really wanted. On both sides, life in Verona is going to have to take some getting used to.

The Belles are a throwback to the twenties mobsters. They have a code of ethics when it comes to “the family,” and they’re very proud and are concerned with loyalty, above all else. The style of the Belles is elegant and lavish. The living space of the Belles is always filled to the brim with white suede couches, blue velvet draperies, and dark mahogany floors. They live an opulent life, but are quietly as exclusive as the Valentines, if not, more. The higher ups in the Belles are more likely to bribe than to threaten. Also, the Belles are more of a hierarchy than a dictatorship; sure, the don has the final say in everything, but the Capos, and Underboss are all active conspirators. This can be seen as a weakness at times, when a decision cannot be reached, and they wait too long for the perfect moment. The Belles are known for being sly, cunning, and quick, and are not usually involved with full scale, head on attacks. Perhaps because of this, the Belles’ forces generally are not as strong in skills and techniques of battle, and between an average Valentine soldier, and an average Belles soldier, in a “fair fight,” the Belle would most likely lose. That is what separates the Belles from the Valentines though: rarely do they ever play fair. The Belles Don has a daughter that the Mafia members are to look after and protect since she takes over when he is away, but she is also a trouble maker, making most of the Mafia member's lives hard, be it male or female.

The Valentines are a more modern kind of mafia. They are loosely connected to loyalties, and “the family,” at least enough to be able to separate themselves from the gangs. There is no code of ethics in the Valentines though, not when dealing with each other, or with anyone else. There is one rule. Listen to the Don. The Valentines are very much a dictatorship, but because of this, they are often seen as impulsive, as they follow whatever rash decisions the Don makes. The Valentines live in sleek, modern simplicity. Their living space is always filled with mirrored glass windows, black marble floors, and crimson wall accents. They give off the most exclusive air, out of the two mafias, and they are more likely to threaten than to bribe. The Valentines rely on scare tactics, direct violence, and torture to achieve their means. They are very good at what they do, but the weakness of this is that the decisions that the Valentines make are often irreversible. They represent the brawn, to the Belles’ brains, but are perseverant in their attempts to outsmart the other mafia. Training is much more focused, and if someone seems to not be strong enough to stay, they are discarded, brutally. To the Valentines, survivors are dangerous: They don’t take prisoners. Their boss has a son, the same age as the Belles daughter, he is very sneaky, usually getting out of the pent house easily, passed the other.

B e l l e s___M a n s i o n
The Belle mansion is situated a few miles outside the city, to the east. It is a waterfront property on a small lake, and it overlooks the city from the base of a nearby mountain. There are various other mansions in the area, each more than a mile away from each other. The Belle mansion is gated off with a fine wrought iron fence and the finest invisible electro-defense systems available.

V a l e n t i n e___P e n t h o u s e
The Valentine penthouse is located in downtown Verona, at the top of a modern, expensive hotel and casino by the name of "The Mint," on the highest floor. The penthouse is actually 3 floors in and of itself, not counting the rooftop garden. There is an express VIP elevator in the lobby, when, once fingerprint scanned, will take any of the Valentines directly to the top.

Notes: The press are mostly who interview the to Mafia's but they don't get nothing from them so they mostly stalk the Son and Daughter to get information

-Cussing and violence are very encourage, just don't go killing every single person
-Romance is strongly encouraged, No cybering (this is PG-16)
-Don’t post until I say so.
-It can be anime, or real photos, or most preferably, some of both(Like a real picture of your weapon, and a Anime picture of yourself).
-Give your characters a weakness. Please, it makes them so much more interesting.
-No Godmodding or Autohitting. This includes killing characters without people’s permission.
-Inversely, given special circumstances, I’m allowed to Godmod and/or Autohit on occasion, in the case of a "god-like character." I've only had to do this two or three times before ever, in any RP i've started. Basically, I won’t do it if you aren’t pissing people off.
-Making peace for more than a few pages is forbidden!!! The RP is about bloodthirsty killing mafias, not frolicky happy mafias riding unicorns and getting along. the only moments that should happy is when their is a couple, but even then don't go with it through the whole time
-I’m God, and I maintain the right to do whatever the Hell I want.
- I’m really not that much of a tyrant, but these rules may change, so keep an eye out.
