Tell me your joking...
Rick and his wife Lyla were traveling from town to town trying to find a place to settle down when he was captured by a renegade group of wolves. They were convinced that drinking the blood of vampires would keep them healthy and make them strong. He was forced to do their bidding and gather 'experimental test subjects.' He was faced with hunting down and capturing vampires or his wife would be killed. He did as they said for many years hoping he would be allowed to leave with his wife once the quota was filled. Once his quota was filled they threw him in their research lab, his wife was already dead. He quickly made friends with a female vampire and her young son he captured from the town of springside. Ari was his only company and quickly he developed a strong emotional tie to her, not like that of a lover but that of a big brother. He learned a lot about her and the boy as the time passed. Ari used one last ditch effort to get free and back to the town but she was weak from all the 'treatments' as the wolves called it. She managed to free Josh and told him to run home. Rick and Ari were left trapped for the time being. As a couple weeks went by they were separated, Rick found a way out and managed to free Ari. He had to take it slow as the 'treatments' had left Ari close to dead. Finally they were out of the woods and Rick managed to steal a car and hurry towards the city of Springisde. Ari was unconscious for most of the trip but Rick had just enough information to find the town. He wont take Ari back to the vampires until she is well enough to move and talk, he is concerned that she would be attacked. He is keeping her in the city until he is sure she is going to live. After he nurses Ari back to health and makes sure Josh made it home he is going to try and find another place to settle and start his life all over again. He recalls Ari mentioning the wolves of Springside and how she thought he would like it with them, he may give it a shot.
