Description: Callen is unusually tall, something out of the ordinary since her origin is Asian. Her body is slender, and as such, she pretty much doesn't have curves. Somehow, she moves with great confidence, despite almost always looking like she is very awkward with herself. Her skin is a pale light brown colour, and her eyes are dark brown. Her hair is naturally black, but she dyes it a flaming red, and has done so for several years. With long arms and legs she is prevented from looking very graceful, and should one cast only one glance at her, she would rarely be called beautiful. Charming, maybe, but not beautiful.

When not wearing her uniform, she can often be seen in somewhat boyish clothing. She favours tight clothing, not to show off what she doesn't have, but rather to be practical. She has a lot regular jeans, often of the worn variety, and many, many colourful shirts, which she is fond of. She even have some with the Coca Cola logo on, because she is a fan.

Callen wants attention. And if she doesn't get it, she will take it. She is ruthless and unforgiving, but also strong and caring. Those who are her friends, she will do anything for, but should anyone disappoint her, she will let them know. Being so harsh means that there are few who care about her, but those who do will find that she will give her life for a good friend. She is a firm believer in everything fantastical, and an incurable daydreamer. One of her biggest dreams is to someday meet a dragon. Callen sees many virtues as important, and does her best to keep to them. Courage, trust, wisdom and loyalty are those she cares most for, and she is eagerly awaiting the day she can prove to herself, and everyone else that she embodies them.

She has insecurities, like most people have about themselves. For example, she is afraid that no one will ever fall in love with her, because she has a difficult time feeling good about her physical self. This is not something that haunts her often, and not something that somehow makes her unable to do the things she wants to do, but it means that she cannot emotionally surrender herself to someone else.

The act of falling in love and accepting this to her seems harsh, and when accepted, something that will only fade given years.

First memory: Meerting her adoptive parents when she was four years old.

What are your character's prejudices? Although she hasn't been exposed to them very much, she hates teens of the scene/emo subculture with a passion. She will go out of her way to make them miserable.
How does your character feel about love? It's okay. Not a big deal... Until it hits, and resistance becomes futile. Then it matters.

Family
Mother: Gillian Mckenzie, whom she loves dearly, and misses as soon as she is away from home.
Father: Ian Mckenzie, who taught her about good music, barfighting, and being an almost decent person.
Siblings: If she has any, she doesn't know.

Short Background: Callen was born in North Korea, but her parents either didn't want her, or couldn't provide for her, so they put her up for adoption. A few years later, when Callen was four, she was adopted by the couple Ian and Gillian. They brought her to Scotland, and gave her a new name, and here she spent the next many years. When she turned 13, her parents decided to enroll her at a boarding school, since Callen appeared to have behavioural issues. They found that The Van Helsing Academy was willing to accept her after running a few tests on her, since she was greatly gifted in the area of warfare and strategism, as well as tactics.

Other: She can play violin, and has a secret love for folkmusic.
