Gamaya followed him upstairs, leaning against the wall and watching while he did the sanding. When he came over and hugged her, though, she blinked in surprise and squirmed a bit. "Eeeewwwwww," she said. She put her hands up on his bare chest and gently tried to push him away from her. "Get your sweaty ass outta here. I can deal with poopy diapers but large, sweaty men is outside of my mom-limits," she said, though she was laughing as she talked.
Amell laughed, "almost done...." He laughed and used her hair and dabbed his face. "There now it seems like you actually did work." He joked and let her go before walking away and started staining the stairs. "Since you will be cool g in that kitchen you can fix it up how you like." He said.
Gamaya's eyes widened when he dabbed at his face with her hair. "Ugh. I need a shower," she said, shaking her head. "It's a shame we didn't think ahead enough to bring swimsuits. A dip in the lake would probably be nice," she said. When he told her to fix the kitchen up how ever she liked, she smiled and nodded. "Okay. And if I tell you I want a pink kitchen? Will you make me a pink kitchen?" she asked with a slight smirk.
Amell scuffed, "I don't need a swimsuit to go dip in the lake, Gammie." He said and then looked up at him, "woman... be sensible." He sighed. "Maybe stick to kitchen appliances that will matc the kitchen...since ya wanna be a rude... can you swim?" He asked confused.

Gamaya blinked when he said he didn't need a swimsuit to go swimming. "Well, I do. I'd sink if I wore jeans into the water," she scoffed. She smirked a bit when he said to be sensible about the kitchen, and when he asked if she could swim, she laughed. "I wouldn't say I can swim, but I definitely don't sink. I never said I didn't sneak off to the underground lake when I was a teenager," she said, smirking a bit.
Amell shook his head, "You a bad guh trying to act good. I can't trust you, no." He smirked and finished the stairs before scooping her up and walking to the pond. "You said you wanted a dip... I can dip you easily." He smirked.
Gamaya laughed when he called her a bad girl acting good. "Pfft. I was never bad. It was never anything more than a minor rebellious streak that quickly ended because I fell in love, got married, and had a kid," she said. When he scooped her up and started for the water, her eyes went wide and she grabbed on to him, holding on tightly. "Don't you dare dip me or I'll kick your ass. These clothes are definitely not waterproof," she protested.
Amell scuffed, "one, you can't kick my ass because i am too tall and you too short. Second, your pants will be too heavy. Three you clinging to me like I won't go in too." He laughed and walked right into the water before dipping both of them in the water. "There... now you can say you rescued me from drowning." He laughed.
Gamaya rolled her eyes when he pointed out that she was too short to kick his ass, but then laughed when he said her pants would be too heavy. "I don't know, I heard a pretty inspiring story about Yora beating up James, and there's a pretty sizeable height difference going on there," she said with a shrug. She held on tightly to him as he went into the water with her, sighing. "Now I'm going to be all waterlogged heading home," she complained. "I'll have to get changed before I can start cooking lunch. You just delayed your lunch. I hope you're happy."
Amell blinked and sipped them again before walking out. Is water like... a weakness for dwarfs? I can carry you back and just say it was pay back for you saving me from drowning." He smirked. "Also I'm okay with a little late lunch. Means I don't have to spend too much time back here." He smirked and set her down before locking up and realizing his shirt was in the house. He sighed and left it. "Back ride or nah?" He asked with a smirk.
Gamaya laughed when he asked if water was a weakness for dwarves. "No, but most of us never learned to swim because we don't really have places to swim underground. There are underground lakes and stuff but not a lot of people go to them," she said with a shrug. She waited while he locked the house up, blinking when he asked if she wanted to ride on his back. "Might as well, if that's easier for you," she said with a shrug. She wasn't sure riding on his back all the way home was the best plan when he had no shirt on, but as she'd reassured herself earlier, it wasn't like anything was going to happen.
Amell turned her ass right back around, "No, off to the estate, ya ass." He said and walked towards the lake. "If you are so scared of going fight the squirrel than you can stay down and look at the pretty water." He said and walked with her to the estate. "See, pretty water." He said and shook his head.
Yoranda giggled a bit when Amell turned her around and she nodded. "Okay, okay, fine," she said, following him. She huffed when he accused her of being scared to fight the squirrel. "I'm not scared of your damn hairy tree moles. They're too fluffy to be scared of them," she said. When he commented on the pretty water, she rolled her eyes a bit. "I'm not coming to look at the pretty water. Let me at your damn squirrel."
Amell scuffed, "That is why you were running away, huh?" He said and walked in with her. The bottom floor was stained, along with the top floor. He had started to fix lighting and then started to pain rooms. "You are going to get hurt, them things are scary crazy. Saw one kick a dude in the face for his food. So no... you aren't going. You have a baby in you and Gammie won't give me food if you and the baby get hurt." He said and patted her head before walking over to get the paint.
Yoranda followed him into the house, looking around. She could see where the work had been done already. When he said that squirrels were scary and that she couldn't fight it, she blinked. "They're tiny. I'll fight the squirrel. Let me at it," she said. She blinked as he patted her head, folding her arms over her chest as he went to get the paint.
Amell came back and shook his head, "No... now come help me. You can paint the lower half of the room." He smirked and started on the top part of the room. "If I have to cage you in that thing Dan is in I will. Plus I am serious, those things carry diseases and you don't need to be worried about it. Plus... I got it out yesterday... so... sorry." He laughed.
Yoranda giggled when he said that she could paint the lower half of the wall, rolling her eyes a bit. "Fine, fine," she said. When he said he'd already dealt with the squirrel and that they carried disease, she blinked. "Oh. Well, shit. You didn't mention that part," she said, furrowing her brow a bit. "Gimme a damn paint brush, Muscles. Let me do a shitty job painting your house."
Amell laughed and handed her the paint brush. "Here... I know you don't know how to color inside the lines but... I believe in you this time." He said and smirked. She wasn't Gamaya so he was safe when it came to bringing up old emotions. She was more like one of his little sisters but... more lively. "You know how to paint right? Or am I going to teach you? Do.. do you paint like stone walls in cave back home? Like... I don't know anything about your home besides you lived in a cave and my large ass wouldn't fit in it. Also... apparently Gammie had to get like... real food stuff from the outside stuff via your brother, Istrain. Then you know... Luther said you all used to eat moss? What the fuck? Didn't even know what shit was edible. Oh man... I... kind want to try it yet... I still don't think it is edible." He said as he painted.
Amell saw how tiny her hands were in his and blinked, "Isn't the father rather tall though? So I don't think it would be as small as your son was." He said and watched her drop her hands and he let his fall too. He kind of liked her holding his hand. It was kind of adorable that her's were so tiny. When she asked him not to crush her head he laughed, "I will try not to crush anything on you." He said and smiled. "Oh boy, a mini Yora... whatever shall we do?" He asked as he got to the estate. "I got the inside done, which I am happy with. Now I just need to do the porch. I am sure you will like the lake. I hear she is soothing." He smirked.
Gamaya shrugged a bit when he asked about the father of Yoranda's baby being tall. "I don't know. I never met him. Everyone says he's tall, though. So I'm sure that Squishy is going to be bigger than my Lentil was, but still tiny since Yora's full dwarf," she replied. She laughed when he said he would try not to crush her, shaking her head at his comment about a mini Yoranda. She nodded as he explained that he needed to do the porch. "Sounds good," she said, glancing around. "After the porch, then, are you starting in on the decorating inside or are you going to do everything on the outside - windows, siding, roofing, all that stuff - before you start furnishing?" she asked curiously.
Amell nodded about the size of the baby and about Yora's ex. "I am going to decorate the outside last. Well... painting I will do last. I still need to fix the roof and some of the shutters." He said and patted her head softly before getting started on the porch. "Also Yora was confused as to why you wanted her to put a shirt on when she had a shirt on already." He smirked.
Gamaya nodded as he explained that he was going to do the outside last. "Makes sense," she said with a nod. She blinked as he patted her head, going and sitting down carefully on a window ledge so she'd be out of his way. When he told her about Yoranda not needing to put a shirt on, she sighed. "I meant for you to put a shirt on while you were up there," she said with a shake of her head. "Did you ever end up grabbing back the shirt that you left here the last time we were here?" she asked.
Amell chuckled as he sanded the porch. It was nice to have her here, talking with him as he did these things. "Mmm yeah, it is back at Luther's." He said and blinked. "Does me being shirtless bother you?" He had asked her. Amell didn't even think that him being shirtless would cause a problem.
Gamaya nodded when he said the shirt was at Luther's, blinking when he asked if she was bothered by him being shirtless. "I, uh... well, no," she said after a moment's hesitation, not sure how to answer that without making a fool of herself. She certainly couldn't tell him she enjoyed the view. "I mean, it makes sense for you not to have a shirt on while you're here working, since you're working hard and stuff, and I don't really care if you walk around my house with no shirt on because the twins and I definitely walk around in less when you're not around, but I figured you should probably have a shirt on to walk from there to here, since, you know, it's kind of the socially acceptable thing to do," she said, shrugging a bit. "Shirtless men don't bother me. I have a kid, after all," she said with a laugh.
