Setting
Nen Othrond is one of the many cities that sit next to the ocean. Its mayor is Henry Beaumont. It is a touristy type of city and you can find a lot sun, fun, and maybe even a nice tan.
Valery looked at her and pouted, "Aww lame... I was so going to love with putting you in my handcuffs and watching you try to hocus pocus your way out of it." She giggled and walked over to her before kissing her forehead. "Silly, girl." She said softly and ran a hand up the curve of her body and in a quick movement had her pinned against the wall. "Us a spell on me." Valery smiled.
Sariandi giggled a bit when Valery said that she was going to love putting her in her handcuffs. She enjoyed the feeling of Valery's hand running across her body and when the blonde had her pinned against the wall she blinked in surprise, not having expected that at all. She opened her mouth to speak after Valery spoke but nothing came out, and after a moment's hesitation, she leaned up and softly pressed her lips to Valery's.
Valery was waiting for her to say something but she didn't and instead just kissed her. She kissed her back and smirked, "Oh damn.. that is a good spell... did I turn into a nice prince or something?" She giggled and let the elf go. "You caught me off guard with that kiss... you are learning too fast. Oh nos." She gasped.
Sariandi giggled a bit when Valery spoke, stepping away from the wall once the blonde let her go. "I...didn't think that would work," she admitted with a smile, reaching forward and booping Valery's nose gently. "You didn't turn into a nice prince. You're just Valery. I like you like that. Princes are dumb," she said with a giggle.
Valery looked offended, "But... I would look so hot as one, dammit." She said and smirked before rubbing her cheek softly. "So glad you finally ran away. Now... food... what do you want to eat?" She asked softly and took her hand before walking into the kitchen and looking at what she had to eat or cook.
Sariandi giggled a bit when Valery said that she would look hot as a prince. "Well, I mean....you would," she agreed with a smirk. "At least, I think so. We'll have to test that theory when Halloween comes," she said, a somewhat devious look coming to her face. When Valery asked what she wanted to eat and led her to the kitchen by the hand, she shrugged slightly. "I don't know. I don't know what you humans eat," she said with a giggle. "Around this time in the tribe we'd be eating salads made of foraged leaves, berries, and herbs, and the cooking women would be starting to cook whatever the hunters had brought back so we'd have meat for the evening meal. Quil always seems to bring back the best dinners. We have four hunters who hunt regularly and a couple backups in case they're not around or they're sick or injured, and they all specialize in hunting different animals. Two of them are trappers and they go for small things that stay on the ground, like rabbits, and then there's the guy who always brings back birds - pheasants, quails, ducks, those kinds of things - but Quil is the one who goes after the bigger things, like boars and deer and elk. I like those best. So, you know...cook me whatever you like," she said with a giggle.
Valery pinched the girl's cheeks when she was done talking. "Yes... since I don't go hunting and killing for my food... well I kinda do... but I get money for that and then I go get my food. Hmmm... we have... left over chinese... uhm... some chicken strips... uhm... I have... you.. I have porkchops.... eggs..." She listed off.
Sariandi giggled a bit when Valery said that her idea of hunting for food was to get money and go buy it. She blinked as Valery listed off what she had. "Chicken sounds good," she said with a smile.
Valery smiled and nodded and went into the kitchen to start the cooking. "Chicken pasta it is." She smiled and got to cooking when all was done she handed the elf a plate and went sit at the table. "I hope you like... I am not like... the best at cooking but I can do a decent job... at least it is edible." She laughed.
Sariandi smiled when Valery said they'd have chicken for dinner. She patiently waited while the blonde prepared the food, and when it was ready she promptly sat down and started to eat. She had barely finished her mouthful before she looked at Valery with a smile. "This is really good!" she told her.
Valery laughed when she said that her food was good, "well I am glad you like. Would have been embarrassing if you straight up hated it. How am I going to win you over? My kisses?" She laughed a bit before taking a bite and looking around her home. "What kind of job did you really want?" She asked her.
Sariandi giggled when Valery said how embarrassing it would have been if she'd hated the food, smirking a bit. "Well, I mean, the kisses are doing a good enough job already," she teased back, taking a few more bites. She blinked slightly when Valery asked her what kind of job she wanted and she shrugged. "I don't know," she said. "Honestly, if I had my way, I'd rather just be left alone to practice my craft in peace. I'm sure I'd be much better at it if they didn't have me washing clothes for fifteen hours of the day."
Valery blinked, "fif... jesus... that is more like punishment. If you stay here you will have to work... but there is a place I have in mind you would like. It is called The Witching Hour and it is a small store owned by the old hags... well no... they are a lot nicer than the younger wanna bes. Now THEY are assholes. Quinn had shot one of them for stealing one of her animals. Ugh a real pain in my ass, but the witches in the woods are... well I mean I don't really believe in this whole thing, but if I did they would probably be the real deal... not those stupid young asshats. But anyway... they own the store and I mean... I am sure they would love to help you if you wanted." She said softly.
Sariandi raised an eyebrow when Valery told her that she needed to get a job if she was going to stay in the city. She smiled a bit when Valery told her what she had in mind, though. "It's run by real witches?" she asked, clearly sounding excited about this. "That sounds like fun! I don't know if I'd be any good at it but I'd love to do that!"
Valery was actually relieved when she got excited instead of angry. "Well... the realest witches I have ever known." She said. "And apparently they did taught someone from the floating islands." She said and shrugged. "But yeah... if you really want to learn and stuff and you don't go acting like those damn young wanna bes you can most likely get a job." She said softly.
Sariandi giggled a bit at Valery's words. "If they're the realest witches you've ever known then I definitely want to meet them," she said softly. She blinked a little towards the end. "What do you mean, acting like the young wannabes? What do they act like? I'd rather not act like that," she said quickly.
Valery looked at her and smiled, "Well... they are assholes for one. They take shit that isn't theirs and then want to have the nerve to get mad at YOU for when you shoot them. They cause more trouble then it is worth putting an arrow through their skulls. They harass people... and so much more. The list will go on and on. The witches in the woods are... spooky but in a calm way. A lot of people like them just because they don't go trying to steal kids at night or set shit on fire in the name of their whatever." She said.
Sariandi was quiet while Valery spoke, listening curiously as she talked about all these witches in town. She shook her head slightly when the blonde was done. "I definitely don't take shit that isn't mine or harass people, and I absolutely don't steal kids at night. I do set shit on fire but it's always controlled and it's not anything major. It's not like I'm burning down trees or houses. Just, you know, herbs and things like that," she said with a giggle.
Valery sighed with relief, "Good... would suck to have to lock you up in a cell. I mean... cuff and stuck on my bed is something I much rather." She smirked and shook her head before finishing up her food. "So... Quil and Quinn... what are your thoughts on them?" She asked.
Sariandi giggled a bit when Valery said it would suck having to lock her up, and her face went red at the comment about cuffing her to her bed. She finished up her food as well, glancing up from the last couple of bites when Valery asked her thoughts on Quilodor and Quinn. "Well, I don't really know that much about Quinn," she said softly. "You said she's a hunter and she wanted to meet him. Now they've met. It sounds to me like they've a great deal in common. Maybe he'll catch feelings and finally find 'the one' and then his mother can finally get those grandchildren she keeps whining about wanting," she giggled.
Valery smiled, "Oh boy... Quinn is an energetic puppy. She loves the outdoors almost as much as she loves her family and friends, though she is very mature for her age. She has stopped a lot of fights and meltdowns... like a mother." She laughed a bit. "She is one of my greatest friends ever. She has a way about her that just... makes a whole lotta people love her. She doesn't really judge and she likes to listen to all sides and all that jazz. Quil is going to like her, if not as a girlfriend or wife, then as a really good friend."
Sariandi listened curiously when Valery talked about Quinn. She obviously thought very highly of her friend, which made sense. Sariandi spoke as highly of Quilodor. "Honestly, she sounds like the exact kind of girl who'd be perfect for Quil," she said with a smirk. "How do we convince them to fall in love? Now I want to see this happen."
Valery smirked, "Well... we make them hang out more... whisper little thoughts inside their heads. Oh goodness we both can be witches and try to do a damn spell if we have to." She smiled and leaned in, "I wonder what their babies would look like. He is so tan and she is so pale... ohhh a tan baby with red hair.." She smirked and shook her head. "I don't want kids of my own, but I don't mind being around my friend's kids." She sighed.
Sariandi couldn't help the wicked little smirk that came to her lips as Valery suggested ways to get Quinn and Quilodor to fall in love. "We could totally do a love spell. I know a little love charm that I've never tried before because I never had a reason to," she said. She smirked when Valery talked about Quinn and Quilodor's babies. "If they don't name their kids names that start with Q, they're basically ruining everything," she giggled. "They've gotta have kids named...hmm... Queenie, and Quinton, and Quincey, and Quimby, and Quigley, and Quinta... someone stop me," she laughed.
Valry smirked, "I was never into magic... but I would do that damn love charm spell in a heartbeat... like uhmmm tomorrow. I can bring you to the shop on my lunch break. We can get what we need there and you know... do what we gotta do. So.. what do we gotta do?" She asked before laughing. "Aww she does have to name her kids starting with Q's... Quigley... oh my... end me right here. She better not or I will kidnap him. Never gonna give him back...." She laughed.
