Alex without a last name, spunky as they come and proof to the fact that no matter where they come from, teenage girls can get an attitude.
Alex is a snarky girl with a nimble wit, age 16-soon-to-be-17. Or so she thinks. She doesn't remember much before the age of 5, because that is when she was taken from her home. Alex was chosen for this experiment because of the way she was tinkering with materials innocently in her backyard to create wings. Her family was poor and lived on a farm that was part junkyard, and she remains sure that her parents are better off without her. This teen believes her family is better off without them and wants to live somewhere safe for her, as she calls the other four, 'flock.' Namely, up high places like mountain ranges - The Rockies and the Alps sound just fine.
Alex has wings. Sounds fun, right? Not when they have a twelve-foot wingspan and make you have to slit all your shirts down the back - or simply buy backless shirts. Her wings are a dark black, contrasting to her bright blonde hair, which is streaked with bright strands of red, accenting her elfish, angular face. Alexandra stands at about 5'4", but she likes to wear tall shoes as to not be considered the shortest, ever. If she ever obtains money not for food, she'll purchase dark jackets and combat boots, but lighter-colored shirts and pants. It seems her natural camouflage instinct comes out, lighter as one looks up to see someone flying through the sky, and darker as 'bigger enemies' look down. She can fly unknown speeds, and has not yet tested anything much besides the fact that she can fly, and up pretty high, too. Not that she'd ever want to, as she didn't take in much of what the scientists tried to teach her at 'school.' She generally leaves the smart stuff for others. The scientists engineered her avian DNA to have airsacs for upper-air breathing and light bones, but this means she eats. A lot.
I'm lucky I have a high metabolism, but if I go hungry, don't be expecting any presents from me.
