Introduction

The Story

For countless years, the two countries of Yama and Shura have been at war. But for what reason? The Moon Castle. According to legend, whoever claims the castle can have any wish granted. When the moon shines in the night sky, the two clans are called to the moon where they battle until the sun begins to rise. The moon is the only place where they ever meet. The location of each clan's home country is unknown.
Neither side is good. Neither is evil. They only fight for what they want.

The Yasha Clan

In the country of Yama lives the Yasha clan. Here, everyone's eyes are black, the reason is unclear. Everyone who fights in this country does so under one man: their general and king. Yama is very harsh in battle. The country is cold, but not unbarable. The people here live comfortable lifestyles and work hard. Though the country is rich, the people choose not to live luxurious lifestyles. For most of the men, they dream of one day fighting for the Moon Castle, they few that choose not to fight work as farmers, shop owners, blacksmiths, or carpenters. There are several schools available for training, and although it's not required of young boys, most attend. The king here is against women fighting, but allows them to do so if they desire. This country is represented by the dark blue strips of cloth they wear around their necks, arms, waist, thighs, or foreheads, it bears a black crecent moon. [Note: This is the more brutal of the two clans.]

The Ashura Clan

Here, in the country of Shura resides the Ashura clan. The country itself is warm and has many forests and lakes. The people who live here live very lavish lifestyles, unlike the Yasha. Much like the Yasha, however, the people battle-ready and are quite determined to win this ongoing war. The king is the general of the ones who choose to go into battle. He allows anyone over the age of 16 to fight if they wish, though he would rather avoid as much bloodshed of his youth as possible. This country is represented by their clothing and armor: blood red.

*Only two people are allowed to have a King position (one for each clan). If you choose to play a king, you need to be at least somewhat literate and you can't just drop out in the middle of the RP. The king is important. You are also going to need to know something about good fighting stratagies as you are going to be the general as well.

OOC Notes

# Moon Castle, 2010-03-30 22:34:33, as written by All-Day Dreamer
The Guardian stood coldly on the steps of the Castle, it's death like eyes wondered lidlessly. It walked across the Grandhall and scanned the room. It looked out on the edge of a gapping window, looking out to the Dead city beyond. the Grey Ruins sitting coldly where they sat for thousands of years. The Guardian watched as time seem to freeze in the abesnce of life and meaning. A Bird or a mouse would tarry here or there, but still nothing of Importance could be accounted.

But Just Beyond those City walls sat two encampments. One of the Blood and one of the Tears. They came from far off shores, lands unknown to the Luneria. The Guardian knew they were coming to take the Power that lied within these hallowed walls. Keeping it safe was all it's conscern.
