Introduction
Note: I want atleast a couple of kids and 1 parent before we start, but don't get too deep into a roleplay. I will stop allowing characters when i decide we have enough kids and 2 parents.
Another Note: When you add your character, be sure to change the last name to "Kennedy" and your charactesr synopsis to "Older Son/Daughter" Or "Father" Or what ever your character's role is.
Plot:
In one small house is one very big family. The Kennedy's. A married couple who adopted all of their many children.
The Kennedy Family's life is not alwasy easy, in fact sometimes they just seem plain unlucky.
But whether it's losing a job, getting in trouble at school or anything else,
They are always there for each other.
Setting:
(Detailed house setting coming soon)
It is right now late January in Massachusetts and it is one of the coldest times of the year. There is enough snow to play in which also means lots of shoveling.

Family
---- Kennedy, Mother (40-48)
---- Kennedy, Father (40-48)
Older Kennedy Children (14-18) Note: I do not want anyone over 18 but if someone NEEDS it then I will maybe change it.
Middle Kennedy Children (8-13)

Family Pets (Maximum 3, if one child wants a small pet like a fish or hamster then go ahead)
Neighbors/School Children (Only if they contribute to the roleplay in someway. Ex: Lisa's boyfriend is a bad influence but she is crazy about him! Or: Little Joey is being bullied and older brother John wants to get involved. Temporary characters.)
Relatives (Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents or Cousins coming to visit. Temporary characters.

(Ok guys, I know this is OOC but i wanted to post here that i think we can start, it would be fun without a Dad for now.. Anyway. Right now school just let out and the kids are coming home)
Harmony sang very loudly her favorite song from her favorite movie-musical, CATS, as she stepped along the road in a rhythmic pattern.
Step, hop, step step, hop, step, step, JUMP!, repeat.
Harmony didn't ride the bus that day. Not because she was bullied, or anything else, but the fact that she just didn't feel like it. She always made odd decision, some that got her in trouble, just because she "felt like it."
"The Rum Tum Tugger is a curious-"
Harmony launched up to jump, but plummeted down and was now sprawled on the pavement.
She checked and saw that her jeans had another hole in them and her knee was scraped and bloody. The girl dusted herself off and merrily continued home.

Alex said goodbye to his friends and walked off. He didn't like riding the bus like he used to, he was too afraid of being bullied and teased. He shoved his hands into his skinny jeans pockets and kept walking. The thoughtful boy licked his lips and bit on the bottom lip, it is a habit. Alex he always would bite on his bottom lip, only when he is thinking and when he's lost in his thoughts. Right now he is thinking about how life has been since he has been with the Kennedy's. It has been good this far.
It's been going good actually better than how his life used to be... a mess.

Alyss skipped down the road, watching her feet carefully. She'd missed the bus again and was now stuck walking home. Then again, it wasn't too bad. Alyss just knew she'd fall eventually. As if on cue, she slipped on something and went tumbling down. "Dang it!" She chuckled and rolled her eyes at herself. Alyss did a quick once-over and was sastified to see nothing was broken. When she started walking again, Alyss decided that skipping was probably a bad idea with a backpack anyways. She shrugged and continued on her way.

Delia untied her smock and hung it in the closet of the Main Steet Salon, where she worked.
"See you later, Mel! Thanks again for covering for me this morning. I owe you!" She said as she rushed out the door. She had been late again because Harmony slept in, again.
As soon as she left the doors she sighed. Her boss was very strict about coming in on time and her friends, who probably thought her constant lateness need to stop, would usually take extra time so Delia's job was safe.

The woman thought about her family. The more time she worked, the more she could support them. The less time she worked, the mpre she could care for her kids.

Harmony finally got some singing "Mr.Mistoffelees" the entire time.
"Mooo-OOM!" She yelled as she made her way into the living room.
"Hey Har! How was your day?" Delia scooped up Harmony and swung her around.
"Wheee!" Harmony giggled.
Delia set her down and looked at the filthy jeans with the huge hole in them "Harmony, what happened to your jeans?" She grabbed the anti-bacterial spray and a bandage they kept in the cupboard.
"Nothin." Harmony said. "NO! I don't want boo-boo spray!"
Delia sprayed it on her knee and then put on the bandage. "Harmony, Sweetie, you need to stop getting your clothes are dirty. What did you do, play tag with a pig?"
Harmony giggled even more. "Piggie's don't play tag!"
Delia tickled Harmony's stomach. "This one does!"
Harmony laughed uncontrollably and ran around the house, Delia chasing her and tickling her.

Ali skipped school again, slipping through his window after all his siblings had left. He put the chair against the door again, keeping everyone out of his room. Ali tried to remember the last time he talked to anyone in his family, but his mind went to a blank. He often skipped meals, complaining of a feigned stomachache. For a severely-depressed boy, he was still a good actor. He pondered on using his switchblade today, but decided to wait until everyone was asleep just incase someone came into his room. Sometimes the chair would slip, causing a loud noise that would cause Ali to flinch. It would usually be either his mother, trying to get him out of his room for dinner or to take his anti-depressants. Or it would be Alex, wanting to talk through all the pain. He never got very far before Ali would kick him out of his room, but he still tried. He opened his locket, looking at the picture with a bittersweet smile.
OOC Notes
Delia grabbed the laundry bin, going to everyone's room. Every kid had a hamper in the room they had/shared. There were three bathrooms and four bedrooms upstairs. Harmony and Alyss shared the second largest room, which was connected to their own bathroom. The next room was intended for Roman, Alex and Ali to share, due to the fact that the room was big enough to be split into four rooms. Next to it is a bathroom. However, Ali had insisted on choosing the very small, cramped spare bed room. Delia didn't object, even though she was upset about how incredibly distant he was. She knew what he has been through.
Finally, the small master bedroom and bathroom, which was the oldest and one of the smallests. She preferred for her children to have the better rooms.
Delia held her almost full laundry bin and sighed. This was the hard part of laundry. She knocked lightly on Ali's door.
"Laundry Time, Ali, you in there?"
(Sorry Ali, if this is considered Powerplaying, I thought it seemed like it would be in character for you and I needed some reason for Delia to come see you. I'll change it if you prefer..)
Finally, the small master bedroom and bathroom, which was the oldest and one of the smallests. She preferred for her children to have the better rooms.

Ali heard his mother asking for his laundry, a little desperate in her tone. He looked at his hamper, he'd spent a certian amount of the day folding the clothes. Ali grabbed it, keeping his sleeves down so it wouldn't slip and reveal his problem. He moved the chair away, opening the door with his head down. Ali handed her the basket, his eyes never leaving the basket. "I love you, Mom." He added hoarsely, his voice raw from not talking. He closed the door, pulling the chair in front of it again. Ali pulled out his switchblade, pulling up his sleeve. More than a dozen cuts sat on his arms, but none were on his wrist. He made a clean cut on his wrist, making sure now to hit an atery. Josh was gone. Cut. His father was gone. Cut. Once he'd covered the rest of his arm, he patted it gently and hit his head against the back board of his small bed. He liked his room, covered in music posters and his bookcase was full of notebooks full of poems and sketches. He had planned to go to art school, but that would just remind him of Josh.

He entered the home, which he guessed was his home now.

She cleared her mind and made her way down the hall.

Ali heard his little sister knocking on the door, and he pulled down his sleeve. He walked to the door, opening it slowly and kneeling down to her level. "Hello Harmony, what do you need?" Ali asked, smiling weakly at the little girl. Other than the concerned voices of his mother, Alex, and Roman combined, Harmony was the only person that could get Ali out of his room. He felt an overbearing need to protect her from the pain and sadness of his world and the world around him, and would stop at nothing to keep her from going through the same things he had. "Come on, let's go play outisde. My room is too small to do anything." Ali suggested, closing the door and pulling Harmony onto his hip. He passed by all of his siblings and his mother, desperate to not lock eye contact. Once he walked outside, the cool breeze whipped his hair behind him, and their Great Dane Lucky ran past him. He laughed, a weak laugh from the silliness of the dog. "So Har, what do you want to do?"

Harmony thought for a second.
"Hmm... Iiiii Dooonnn'tttt Knnnooowww..." She shrugged.
She raised her hand and took in a deep breath. She was going to attack Ali with the verbal cannon she calls a mouth.
"QUESTION! Why are you in your room a lot? Are you sick? Do you have homework? Are you a magic wizard practicing your magic-ey stuff? How old are you again? How long do wizard live? Do you have a dragon? I want a dragon. OOH! I know we can play hide n' seek! But really, Why are you in your room all day?"
(I was bored so I made a little diagram of the house in paint and put it up, here it is.)

Alyss finally made it home and walked inside the house, grinning. She saw Delia and Roman and smiled. "Hey guys. How've you been?" Alyss realized that Roman had just been at school with her, but it was good manners anyways. She set her stuff down near the door and found a chair to sit on. Alyss realized that the better thing to do would be actually putting her bag where it belonged, in her room, so she guiltily got up. Alyss grabbed it and threw it in her room before returning to the living room once more.
She'd mostly gotten over the fact that these people were her family now, probably because she tried to not think about it too often. Alyss didn't enjoy thinking about unpleasant things, no matter who or what it happened to. So she usually decided to live in the moment and enjoy what had been given to her. Such as this chance to have a family again.
