Welcome a world where vampires, warlocks and other supernatural folk stalk the streets and live in harmony with the human race. Only the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the world of demons and keeping the peace between the world they live in and the world they keep hidden, keep order amidst the chaos of Downworld.

A many years ago, an evil man named Valentine Morgenstern walked the earth. He was a Shadowhunter, nephilim, the offspring of the angels and humans. Valentine was loved and feared by all that is until his plan and his group, known as The Circle, fell apart. The Circle was a group led by Valentine to take down the government known as The Clave, and recreate it, fix it in a way as well as ridding the world of demons and their demonic offspring or the downworlders. Their plan was thwarted and they were punninished. Everyone except those who escaped. Valentine was believed dead. Little did they know what his next plans were. 15 years after Valentine was defeated the first time, Valentine returned and took hold of the Mortal cup, the cup used to create more shadowhunters, and the Soul Sword, a powerful sword that, used in the wrong ways, could be a deadly weapon. Shadowhunters and Downworlders faught together to take Valentine down. They suspected their efforts were successful. Little did they know that Valentine had an apprentice.

Our story starts years after the fight between Valentine and the shadowhunters. His apprentice, Zander Vandrill, a vampire (oddly enough) plans on recapturing the mortal cup and the soul sword in order to continue what Valentine had planned to do. He needs to gather the blood of the fae, worlock, werewolf, and vampire children to turn the Soul Sword so he could summon demons and control them. He wanted to use the demons to take down the Clave and recreate the law. That is, not if the Nephilim and the Downworlders could help it. Unfortunately they have yet to know of Zander and worse yet, the resigning of the Accords, or the law, is rapidly approching. Bodies are dropping left and right as Zander takes down those in his way and collects the things he needs to the ritual to complete his plan. Will they be able to stop Zander before time runs out? An even better question: Who's side are you on?

Words you may need to know
-Nephilim: Shadowhunters, offspring of angels and humans. No they do not have wings. They are pretty much human except that they can use runs to create powers, open doors, destroy barriors, etc.
-Runes: The written language of the angels. Only shadowhunters can use them and they can only be drawn with a pen like object called a stele
-Downworlders: The offspring of demons and humans.
-Irazate: A healing rune
-Idris: The home place of all shadowhunters located in England.
-sereph blades: Dagger like weapons that activate when its name is said. Usually named after angels.
-The gray book: A green book that contains all knowlege of nephilim as well as the runes.
