Introduction

IN the future the world is sick. Humanity has poisoned the earth and it is dying. IN an effort to try and save the human race a small sector has taken over the world's government and implemented rules, but with their rules have they gone too far? Have the people of the world lost all freedom?
There are thoughts which didn't even register in Celia Thorn's mind. This life is all she has ever known. For her there is nothing amiss. All the problems belong to the older generations; to those who knew a different life. For her life is simply an adventure she is excited to begin. The first of these adventures is love, but this adventure goes horribly wrong. After a night of passion Celia discovers she is pregnant. She is now faced with the most difficult decision she has ever had to make. The government does not allow women to bear children without prior approval. She has to decide whether she will let the government force her to give up the baby or try and escape their clutches to protect the life of her unborn child.
A month passes and time is running out for Celia. Her stomach will begin to show signs of the baby any time now and she doesn't know how much longer she can had her morning sickness and mood swings from her mother. Desperately she gathers the three people she trusts most together; her lover, her best friend, and her sister. She tells them what happens and begs for their help. She can't give up the baby. She can't bear the thought of it dying. Immediately her sister and best friend pledge their help and her lover does as well a little less enthusiastically, but Celia doesn't notice. The only thing her mind is focused on is protecting her child. After a few days of preparation the four of them depart in the dead of night hoping to find a place to hide where the government cannot reach them. Only time will tell whether Celia can elude them or whether her efforts to protect her baby are in vain.
