We have always been fighters, but somewhere down the line we got soft and lazy; we lost our fight.
And now they want to tag us like animals and invade our privacy by watching us 24/7? We must not let the guardian act pass! Or we will no longer the land of the free and the home of the brave, but the land of the enslaved and the home of the oppressed. PLOT

There is a civil war on the horizon. For years it was thought that this would happen, but the sides would be: synthetics Vs. cybernetics. But, now everyone is thinking different. Simon Murphy, Governor of New York, has volunteered New York to the U.S. government to be the testing ground of an experiment. The Guardian Act a document, which will change life as we know it, will allow U.S. citizens to be tagged and constantly monitored among other things, in the name of making America and better and safer place. Whether this is good or not will be determined in an 80 years probationary period, where Simon will forever hold power to do what is necessary to make this act successful.
It is now 50 years later and so far things have ran smoothly, and the government is talking about ending the probationary period, making The Guardian Act legal and enforced nation wide. And to top this off, Simon is thinking of running for president and with him doing so good with the Guardian Act, he will most likely to win the candidacy. However something has been brewing in the underbelly of New York City. A group known as Anarchy has broad cast a state-wide message concerning there views on the Simon and The Guardian Act. They have been acting covertly throughout the years trying to put an end to the The Guardian Act, but now they have stepped out of shadows, hell bent on stopping Simon no matter what it takes.

Welcome to Dystopia: The R-Evolution. The intro above is a message broadcast all across New York by a rebel terrorist group known as Anarchy. Their goal is to stop The Guardian Act from being passed. Their opposition is Simon, governor of New York and temporary Overseer who has all power to make sure that the Guardian Act is enforced. He is willing to do anything it takes to see the document passed and his dreams become reality. Unfortunately the same can be said for Anarchy, they are even willing to lead a revolution, a civil war between the free and the protected.
The story will resume right after the message was broadcast. This RP will be character driven, but with a centered goal and one major storyline. Nothing is predetermined, either side can win. I will also be using time-jumps to help move the story along. RPs constantly fail because the story lags in one place for too long, so this will help prevent that. I would like for the RP to have a second chapter which will be the actual civil war, this story will be about the events leading up to that point.
The IC of this RP will be taking place in the forum threads. I used to have problems accessing any new posts made in the tabs and even though this is now fixed, I don't know if it will become a problem again. So to prevent it I will make a totally different IC thread for us to post in. Plus by doing this, everyone will be able to clearly see when new posts have been made. But I will go into all this more when the time comes.
This RP is also remake of one of my original RPs: The Program: Anarchy is Freedom. Anyone who was in that RP will recognize a lot of things from there, in some ways I even consider this a squeal to that RP. However, the two are completely different, you can tell that just by reading the intro.
The theme of this RP will be cyberpunk. I try to make this theme as obvious as possible, I have also gave a lot of extra info to give this world as much depth as possible. So there is a lot to read and understand. It should be obvious that this is a advanced RP and I will turn people away if I think you are not on this level, but I will do it fairly.
Lastly, I found what I think is a great theme song for the RP. If you listen to lyrics and can decipher them correctly, then you will understand why it is such a great match for the RP.

If you are looking to join this RP then please fill out the app below. It is pretty lengthy, but such detail allows you to know who your character is and therefore helps you get into the role more.
Don't worry if your character isn't accepted or not, because I will PM you before rejecting the sheet and work with you until the character is accepted. I may also require an example of your writing, to check your writing skills out.
Also don't be afraid to RP multiple characters, I know it can be a bit hectic. But, I only require you to have one main character post and then the post for characters can be toned down. Since there isn't a likely hood of all your characters being in a demanding scene, then you may post only a paragraph or so for them. I always say quality is better than quantity, and a page full of nothing about your character changing clothes can easily be toned down to a paragraph.
Lastly, don't be afraid to make your character as wild or as futuristic as possible. There is a lot of advancements out there and I can't cover everything, so don't be afraid to come up with something of your own. If I think it is too much, I will let you know. I will provide a few pictures of what I think is acceptable and plus you can always look over my characters. I even have one character that is sort of like a super hero... Be creative is all I am saying. And don't be too shy to talk to other members of the RP and link together characters. It always makes the RP more interesting when characters already share a history of some sort.

3. Be creative. Don't be afraid to let your imagination run away. I have a leash I can tug on if you get too far away...
4. I want only serious, dedicated, experienced RPers only. I feel I have those skills, so it is only right I ask for the people of this RP to have the same.
5. Your character can and might die, so keep that in mind.
6. Be familiar with text fighting. It isn't necessary for you know how to text fight, but it will be appreciated in fight scenes.
7. Just because this is a fantasy RP, doesn't mean your character is a one man army.

This section here will not be used for posting. Instead I will be using the forums as the IC location. When we are ready to begin posting there I will provide a link for everyone. So this section will instead be used for announcements. Anytime I have anything very important to say I will post it here. The same will go for you. If you are dropping out of the roleplay or leaving for a short period of time. Post that information here. So make sure to check this regularly. But, I will also make important post in the OOC. This is mainly for those RPers who do not post in the OOC or check it. So they usually end up missing out on important developments. Now nobody will miss those announcements.
However I cannot post in RP Tabs, at least from my home computer. So I will be asking someone else to post for me or making them from another computer. Either way use this link to confirm any updates on announcements:

Announcement: 1/7/11
- I just finished listing all the locations. There is a short description of each borough when you click on them as well as an enhanced image. Each image is just visual representation of how I picture the borough. Later on, I will begin adding other locations, like specific shops and things of that nature. So be sure to look over them, they will help when developing your character's origin and what not.
- When selecting the group your character is with. Be sure to note, that you do not have to be with one. Also know that you don't have to be part of Anarchy if your character wishes to go against The Guardian Act. And vice versa, your character doesn't have to be part of MurCORP or work for Simon Murphy to take on Anarchy.
Also just because a group isn't listed in the Group Page, doesn't mean that is all there is to select from. You can create your own or be solo. - If your character is a Celestine, try to stray away from the DES-47 formula. There isn't a lot of characters with the it, but I don't want it to become a problem. There are other versions. But, if you must choose it, then be aware that your character must suffer some way from having so many powers. Or at least don't have assortment of offensive powers and have mastered them all. Part of being a great RPer is learning balance. Keep that in mind.

Announcement: 1/9/11
- I just finished updating the character and the player directories. They aren't completely updated as there are a few characters missing. So I will make the next update, next week sometime. So go take a look and if see any mistakes let me know and I will correct them.
- I also decided to gather some statics about the different characters of this RP so far. It basically just shows how many of what race and species or whatever we have. So if you were wanting to create another character, but wanted it to be unique and not like any other character, this may help. I may do one concerning equipment and personalities, but that will take a lot longer so I don't know.
- Usually on weekends I do a lot of maintenance work for my RPs, since this is the only one I am in, my time was mainly focused on this and RL issues. So now that I have finished updating the directories, I will be replying to any PMs and going over other submitted character sheets. Then I will go back to working on my own characters sheets.
- I see this RP starting probably around next week. There are still characters being submitted and others being reviewed. Plus I have yet to finish my own. So once that is all taken care of, we can begin. Until then, I suggest making connections with other characters and developing histories or maybe even side stories. When the RP begins characters shouldn't act like they are just meeting each other for the first time, when in the storyline they have known each other for years.

Announcement: 1/10/11
- There are a few characters missing from the roster in the RP tab, but the Character and Player Directories are updated, so no worries. Just so you know those two characters are: Raefel Ekatsim created by Sonara Stone and Hedge created by R3aper. However, I think there may be one more character missing... So if you don't see your character anywhere, in the roster or the directories, let me know.
- Not that this is absolutely necessary. But, I would like it if everyone provided an avatar picture for their character. This is not required, but it would be appreciated. Even if it isn't a person, it can be something that represents your character. I just really hate seeing those gray spaces.

Announcement: 1/18/11
- As you all may have noticed, I have been M.I.A. the last few days. This was due to RL problems. Its nothing I wanna get too in depth about, just know that it is dealt with and I am back. So I will be replying to PMs, going over character sheets, and updating the directories, then finishing my own sheets and some locations.
- When will this RP be ready to start?
Well I can tell you better when it won't be starting.
I know it won't be this week, since there are still major profiles being submitted and finished, including my own.
Also for my own personal reasons, I never start RPs on the weekends. I have no real reason why, except, that is when I hangout with my friends and family. Plus, lot of other members have their own families, so I suspect they are doing the same thing. For the most part I only reply to PMs on the weekend -- rarely do I do any RP work on the weekends.
So I estimate a start around next week around this time or the week following. - I would like some notification of some sort from everybody to let me know you are still in this. Usually with long waits like the one this RP is going through, people tend to quit and dropout. Which doesn't bother me at all. Because if you can't handle being in a RP where you don't have to do anything, then how can you handle being in a RP where you have to keep up with post and reply weekly.
I like to use RP delays to weed out the casual RPers from the dedicated ones. Its a lot better than waiting around for people to quit after posting an intro. - I don't want to officially place a limitation on new characters, but I will definitely be more strict creatively. Though I would like for any new characters to be strictly FOR the Guardian Act or at least on that side.

Announcement: 1/25/11
- The answer to your question, is no. I have not been on another hiatus. I've been working on the RP further and finishing my characters. I have two more to do, which should be done by the weekend or at least a basic outline, enough for me to move on. Also if you would like to build a background with my characters let me know. As of now none of my characters really have any, except for Mac. I especially need one for my character Robert Grimes, leader of Grime Protection.
- I recently just sent messages out to people who expressed interest in the RP, but never submitted characters. Don't worry, the RP is being delayed because of them, I just wanted to see if they were interested still. I will also be sending messages out to those who have yet to post in the OOC, saying they are still interested in the RP.
- No matter what, the RP will start next week. I would like to have the intro post in on Monday, but I don't think it will be... People and characters will still be allowed to join/submitted, but I will of course be more strict towards creativity and what side they are on.

- If you have any ideas concerning the story/plot, it is better to share them. Like i you would like to see the story go a certain way or think a certain thing should happen. It is better to make it known to others, especially me, than to try to sway the story that way by yourself. This way it can be done properly, there is nothing wrong with a little bit of scripting in a RP.
- In case you haven't noticed, this RP has officially been given a review. A 20/30. Nothing too high, but it will be given a deeper review once posting has started. So I will ask for some more review soon enough, hopefully the RP can make the top rated list!

- When it comes to post frequency, I'm not looking for daily posters. If you happen to do this then fine, just don't spam the IC with nothingness. Weird right? There's nothing in the world that should make you so damn happy! Anyway... Weekly posting is fine, we all have lives and what not that we have to take care of.
- Since the IC isn't located in the RP tab, I have placed a link on the main page of the RP tab. I would have put one in all of the link/contents areas, but I can't edit them anymore. So bookmark the thread. Also once you post, you should automatically subscribe to it. So you can check to see if there are any new post by clicking on the "Your Subscriptions" or "View Your Posts" button.
- Like I promised, I have sent everyone PM's containing a link to the IC.
- If you plan on quitting, please abandon your character in the roster section. This way other people's character can be displayed.
- A notice to characters of Red Society, I just added a HQ/Hangout for the group.
- For anyone wanting to interact with my character Robert Grimes, he won't show until later in the IC. The IC reason being, he is in prison. The OOC reason, his sheet isn't complete. Same goes for my character Faust Novacaine, his IC reason is that he just hasn't shown up yet. haha

Announcement: 02/07/11
- Everything so far in the IC looks good. Of everyone who has posted so far, the work is excellent and just what I expected, so good work. There are still some people who haven't posted yet and some people who say they are going to submit characters, so there is more to come.
- Like I said before, one reason RPs fail is because they lag in one spot for too long. So with that being said, I am going to be moving the Rp time foreword a bit to later tonight. Not yet though, but soon. However this won't be an official time jump, meaning your characters can lag behind a bit, but the official RP date will be whatever my post says. This will also be the point in the story where Mac reappears.
- The first official time jump, will be maybe a week or two jump. It will mainly be so I can introduce a few of my characters to the story. The most important scene will of course be the prison breakout with my character Robert Grimes. So any members of Grime Protection can take part in this scene. I haven' exactly decided how this will happen yet, but it will most likely be discussed through PM's with Chuckles.
- Its a little disturbing that nobody from Anarchy has posted yet (except 1), but just so y'all know you can join in on my character's intro if you wanted to. Though if anyone planned on returning to the area, Warren's body isn't there, just a pool of blood and the gun Mac used.
- On the 9th I will be updating the player directory. If you haven't posted by that time, I will mark you as inactive and consider not part of the RP. I won't kill you off, since you never posted, but I will try to replace you. I will also send a PM to all those inactive members just to be sure you are officially quitting or whatever the case may be.

- Sorry for taking so long to get back to everyone about the RP, but I have been away fro home, sort of on a vacation for my BDay. But, I'm back, so lets get back to work.
- I have sent messages to everyone who haven't posted recently in the IC or OOC, people I haven't heard from in general. After about a week of waiting, only two people responded. - This RP is still very much still alive and with its current members, things have become easier to manage. All I have to do now is give everyone a more prominent position within the RP, instead of the secondary roles they had previously.
- Based off of the 12 active members of this RP, I have redid the statistics. Everything is bit more even, though there is definitely a need of more Anarchy characters. So I might post something in the RPers wanted thread and invite some friends. Though I will wait a week, just in case some of the original cast show up.

Announcement: 03/24/11
- All the directories are completely updated, so take a look.
- There is a new group called, The Link. It is very interesting, I wish I had developed the idea for the beginning of the RP. It would have made for a nice addition to the story.
- We have a few new characters submitted, they look to make nice additions to the RP. So I will try to get them involved in the story.
- All the directories have been cleared of charterers and members no longer in this RP. Though I am still working on clearing out the roster list.
- There still seems to be a lack of activity, so PM me so we can cooperatively work on getting you involved in the RP and story more. Also don't be afraid to PM other members. Though once I make the next time jump, a lot will be changed in the fictional NYC, that will most definitely get everyone involved.

Sorry, I am sort of paranoid when it comes to player attendance. Plus, as you know, I have been busy with the other RP. The RPs went dead across the board, on my end at least, so I just decided to take a weeklong break...that turned into a month...then more. So, I'm still in it, and I'm still all up for it if you haven't killed me off yet. Reading up on recent events now.

Just giving everyone an update, I am still waiting on klikxx response. But, I am going to try and get things back on schedule this week regardless. And instead of replacing him, I will just use another of my character to assume temporary control of the city. This will help solve the problem, plus it will coincide with the events that will soon take place in the story.
For now, just keep posting as usual. I will post the time jump somewhere around Wednesday or Thursday.

The RP will pick with a time jump right into some action. The jump will accommodate any absences and new entries we have, so I will make it about a 3 month jump into the future. Along with character changes, the city will undergo a major change as well. There will also be two major events to give the story a jump. I will explain everything when the time comes.
So for now, just sit tight, I expect everything to be back to normal in a few days to a week.
