Personality

Personality Description
Egotistical and ambitious, not to mention dangerous and impatient. Many words can describe Richard, but to fully understand him he has to be seen. Almost like a machine he drives himself onwards at an accelerated pace, obliterating obstacles in order to achieve his goals. This makes him a force to be reckoned with... and easily manipulated. Richard will murder without a second thought, and won't bring things such as pride or dignity into the picture if the job will satisfy his needs. This means that his loyalty lies with whoever provides means, though the relationship never becomes more than the highest level of professional acting that Richard can surface.

To be in the presence of Richard is to see a jittery man, constantly in motion, prone to shouting randomly. Mood swings are common in his unstable mind that is slowly falling apart. With each passing day Richard grows more desperate. His desperation rises hand in hand with his temper, making him a rather intimidating, plus difficult, person to deal with. Most of the time logical reasoning won't work. To best imagine Richard you have to envision an extremely addicted junkie, unable to resist his temptations and driven to the brink of insanity because of it.

Quirks
Richard is prone to suddenly breaking out into sweating sessions and violent mood swings. Only when having satisfied his serum addiction does the old Richard surface, including feelings of guilt and remorse, but a calm rarely seen in him, also.

FearsLosing his mind completely and becoming a serum hunting husk. He also fears being unable to access the serum itself.

Goal
To satisfy his serum addiction, one way or another.

Likes
Being in chaotic situations and other distractions that take his mind off his needs.
Herculean Serum and power acquisition.
Striking fear into others.

Dislikes
The quiet and being alone.
Being called crazy.

Strengths
Richard draws his strength from his broad array of powerful Celestine powers and past as an athletic, acrobatic messenger. His unlimited drive is also an influential factor.

Weaknesses
Though Richard works for the government his loyalty is wafer thin. He can barely go more than a few days without needing to satisfy his desire to drain power.

Equipment

Abilities & Skill  & Combat Rating

[Perfect] - [Excellent] - [Good] - [Above Average] - [Average] - [Below Average] - [Poor] - [Very Poor]

Clothing/Armor
No protection. Anything aside from necessary clothing hinders his speed and only provides problems. Besides... what are bullets and lasers to an experienced Celestine... right?

Combat Prowess
[Poor] Firearms. Richard has never felt the need to fire a gun. Before, he would never allow himself to be caught in a firefight. Now, he defeats weapons with powers. He knows how to pull a trigger, and that is about the limit of his skill with guns.

[Above Average] Close Quarter Combat. In a fistfight Richard is competent to say the least. His build helps, as does augmented strength. No trained skill has made him a decent fighter, but if he lands a punch you better know how to take it.

Abilities
Elemental Manipulation
[Good] Electrical
[Above Average] Thermal (Cold)
[Excellent] Geological

Molecular Manipulation
[Perfect] Propulsive.
[Excellent] Regeneration

Psychic Manipulation
[Good] Teleportation
[Good] Telekinesis
[Perfect] Precognotive (It has become more of another sense than anything else. Instead of having large visions he constantly sees an unidentified period of time ahead).

Superhuman Feats
[Above Average] Enhanced Strength

Forbidden Methods
[Perfect] Pain Synthesizer
[Good] Intangibility

Other
[Perfect] Celestine Drain. Because of his Herculean modification Richard can steal the abilities of others permanently in little time at all. Unfortunately, once the draining begins he finds it incredibly difficult to stop. Though this unique form of thievery is not deadly, it wipes away the memories and personality of those affected, leaving nothing more than a soulless husk behind... perfect for The Program to take advantage of. These memories and traits are not transferred to Richard however, and it is presumed that they simply vanish.

As can be seen, Richard possesses a volatile arsenal of Celestine abilities, that are only growing. Thanks tot he modified formula that altered him, abilities acquired are of a decent level, though like his mind are often unstable until he brings them under his control.

Skills
[Excellent] Parkour. Richard is an incredible free runner, only made better by some of his Celestine perks.

[Below Average] Hacking. Only because of his past is Richard able to hack, though he never trained at all and only knows the few things he managed to pick up along the way.

[Good]-[Excellent] Stealth. Richard is capable of being very quiet when he really needs to be, and subtle. If he can keep himself under control he becomes an impressive thief and lockpicker. Even whilst unstable he is better than many.

Weapons
None except his own Celestine capabilities.

Bio/History
Childhood
Richard Dentrigg, born into a hacker family, was thrust from a young age onto the political scene. Everyone he grew to know was some form of extremist, usually his parents' allies, but sometimes anti-hacker loyalists also. That said, his parents never really left their mark on the world and knew how to keep a low profile. There was nothing truly traumatic to speak of during these times. All they did was move every now and then to avoid trouble. Richard got used to the constant running, and it was running that found him his initial purpose. He was never much of a hacker, something that disappointed his expecting parents, but he had his strengths. By fourteen Richard was only just getting by in his current school but was flourishing as a free running messenger. Communication too dangerous to be filtered through the system needed to be made, and Richard was the one to accept that task.

The Messenger
He didn't build up fame; that wasn't the way to do things. He used a number of alias' that each became respected within the correct circles. Among his own people he earned a his reputation, but to the rest of the world Richard Dentrigg was just another rebellious teenager.
The jobs paid well. As time passed he began to finance his parents' operations. They acquired better hardware, better allies and better results. The more Richard earned the more damage they could do. Of course, being skilled hackers they could obtain as much money as they needed, but they were defenders of justice, not thieves (And besides, who needs another crime to add to a terrorist's list).

The Link
The jobs grew in scale and in number and soon they became too many. Richard assembled a team and assigned each member an alias of his own. At first they were few, but there were many messengers out there, skilled, that needed protection from their enemies. In exchange for the safety of an organization such as Richard's they delivered. Richard, almost unintentionally, created though little more than the will to help and the need for aid, The Link.
Under Richard's control The Link prospered. Funds were abundant and still they managed to remain hidden from the government's watchful eye. Before long he was financing numerous projects of rebellion at all times (Including groups such as Anarchy at one point). The quality of their services allowed, unlike before and in most cases, them to first know what information or packages would be transported before executing the job or accepting it.
At thirty, Richard's parents had grown old and had left their 'terrorist' actions behind. Their legacy continued, though. With the amount of precious information being transported, Richard had the wonderful idea of using the knowledge of what they were carrying as an asset. The Link acquired a new branch with Richard as a successful trafficker of information at the head. More than an underground organization, The Link had become a private delivery company and information broker, illegal and outside the system, however.

The Fall
Power rose within Dentrigg's mind and he set aside his revolutionary ways, substituted by the will to power and riches. He started accepting any job he could, hacker or government, gaining resources from his unpaid workforce, convinced they they were protected from their enemies and striving for a righteous cause.
Maybe it was the rush, or maybe just to get away from the negotiations, but Richard continued to accept jobs personally. Only the biggest and most risky jobs were good enough. It was one mission that brought him down from his head in the clouds, however.
He was transporting a military project, something to do with the Herculean Serum, he hadn't bothered with the minor details. It was to be taken to a well protected facility that belonged to a secret state branch. Not everything went according to plan. Along the way Richard was attacked by a surprisingly large and unexpected force of unknown affiliation. Eventually, Richard was cornered, and saw the only way to escape within the very package he was carrying.
He escaped with his life, but was changed. Immediately he found himself with a thirst for other Herculeans, and he discovered that he could drain power from others permanently. At first he tried to resists, tried to continue with his life, but it was impossible. He started recruiting Herculeans into The Link, and days later they would mysteriously vanish. His close friends were quick to find out and confront their leader, who ran from the problem and left his group behind. Alone, he was found by Sanctum, who offered him a reasonable solution. In exchange for his aid and the The Link, they were let slip a Celestine address, and Richard would be allowed to visit that place unobserved. Though against his morals, Richard was being driven to madness, and so he accepted.

Present Day
Richard now works, high in Sanctum's ranks. He is not a cybernetic warrior or technological in any way, but his abilities are useful, and the fact that he has regained control over The Link, apparently rehabilitated, means that Sanctum has access to a sea of apparently safe information. Everything interesting passes through Richard Dentrigg's filters. The question is whether you have the means to convince him into giving it to you.
