Amelie felt a small patch of her cheek begin to get slightly warmer. She warily opened her eyes to catch sight of the morning sunrise peeping through the slightly open curtains, which caused the corners of her mouth to tighten as she presented a small smile. She closed her eyes, took in a deep breath, before throwing the covers off of her body and swinging her legs on to the side of the bed. She stretched her torso and arms whilst yawning, before she stood up went to the curtains threw them wide open and called out to the other slaves in the room.
"Wakey, wakey. It's sunrise and that means we should all rise." She said, smiling more widely because she was feeling the energy rush to her head and spreading to the rest of her body. She looked over to see 2 empty beds. She shook her head and rolled her eyes and muttered quietly to herself,
"Poor things, but then again, that's what they get."
She wasn't shocked at this, once a week there would be at least 3 people taken at night because they had disobeyed orders. Amelie always thought they had it coming. She walked towards the empty beds, took the sheets off and put them in a pile to be taken down by one of the washing maids.
"We have 20 minutes to get down to the kitchen for breakfast so let's hurry." Amelie called out to the sleeping people once more before turning towards the bathroom and went through her daily routine of making sure she was presentable and as were the small children who still couldn't quite do it themselves.

Jonathan stood up and started for the washroom.
No sleep again...IU can't keep going on like this... The sun was coming in through his windows but it hurt his eyes, from the lack of sleep, so the curtains got closed.
"They are closed, and they are staying closed." He got to the washroom and stripped, then went into his bath.
It's been six years since Gian took me in here and I've still not been able to get him to treat the workers any better. Why did he pick me to be a guest here? What did I do to get here? Probably something from when I can't remember...
He closed his eyes and let himself drift into the land of dreams.

Kaycie woke with a start, she heard Amelie getting out of bed. She sighed and pulled the covers away from her body then stood and got ready for work.
Another day, another whole hell of a lot of work to do" she said with a grimince
"Morning Amelie" she said with a smile. She wasnt happy, but hell it was better than the streets. she rolled her shoulders and made her own bed quickly before getting dressed.
"come on guys, chop chop, we only have so much time" she called gently to the others.

Lillian was already awake and helping out with some of the early risen stable hands. Lillian loved being around the horses and since her promotion she didn't see them as much. She looked at her small wristwatch and realized what time it was. Putting down her rake she scurried to fix herself up.
"Good work everyone and keep at it. Your doing fine."
Lillian threw her hair up into a messy bun and made herself look presentable. She had to go check what was to be done today and then she had to check on the guests. She was usually the first one they would hear from in the morning but sometimes she ran late. Today wasn't going to be one of those days.
Hurring to the slaves corridors she checked and saw that Amelie had everyone up, with that she smiled and noted that she would have to thank her later. Then passing down the hall and towards the kitchen she saw the bullitin board and noted what everyone had to do that day. Maids were pretty easy they did the same thing as always and the cooks always had the food ready for certain periods of the day... Lillian just went through all of the jobs and made sure everyone would have something to do. Then she went over to her own bullitin and looked to see what she had on her to do list. Grabbing it and putting it on a clipboard she grabbed a few towels and headed up to see the guests.

(I thought that my room could look a little like this but with a window seat.)


Jonathan awoke in the bathtub. He stood up and searched for a towel but found none. Stepping out of the bath, he walked into his room.
I can't get dressed soaking wet, that defeats the purpose. Where's Lillian? She must be late again. Nothing I can do. He looked around at the room that he had been living in for six years.
"Don't forget Jonathan, you have to help the chef today. I'm really looking forward to that." He had always helped in the kitchen, and no-one minded. Except the guests of course.
"You shouldn't be helping them, you should be expecting them to do it for you."
Like hell to that.

Kaycie spotted Lilian and took off after her. she took some of the towels from her arms with a smile.
"good morning, mind if i give you hand...opps looks like im already there" she said with a smile. Kaycie was the type to make friends with anyone and she was always nice until you made her mad, so she was always willing to help.
"how was your night?" she asked out of polite curiosity.

Jonathan searched everywhere in his room for something to dry himself with and finally found a towel that he kept for emergencies. This counts as an emergency.He dried himself off and got dressed into the clothes that he had picked earlier. He walked out of the room, closing the door on the way out, and headed for the kitchen. Along the way, he saw Lillian.
"Hello Lillian. How's it going? Is the chef up yet, I was wanting to give him a little hand with the kitchen again." Though he was a guest at the manor, he always like to help with kitchen work.

Amelie left the washroom, with all the little ones fully cleansed and prepared for today's task. She smiled at all their clothes, creased and folded in all the right directions. She bathed in pride as shooed everyone out the room and led them downstairs to the dining room for the slaves, where the food was yet to be served. She got everyone seated in their assigned chairs before walking into the kitchen to keep an eye on everything there. She made sure all the plates were filled with the proper serving, according to their age and size, of the usual porridge with left over bread from the evening before.

Amelie brought out 5 dishes and laid them in front of the child it belongs to. She made several trips before going upstairs for the older than 10 slaves. She asked them to be seated at the table downstairs, she found Lillian and called her over. However Amelie noticed she was with the guest Johnathan and she curtsied before saying,
"Good Morning Sir, didn't mean to interupt. I apoligise. Lillian breakfast is served and we need the aquaintance of the head slave before we eat, as you well know. Sorry again sir." She finished off with another curtsey and headed back down the stairs and sat near the end of the long table and waited for others to accompany them so they could eat. She had to make sure things didn't get too noisy nor the slaves acted up with one another.

"It's fine. I understand. I will let you all eat your breakfast. Have a good day." Jonathan said before walking away.
I really wish they wouldn't call themselves slaves. It's such a derogatory term.
He got to the kitchen and put on his apron and got to work.

After placing the towls in the needed locations Kaycie slipped into the kitchen behind Jonathan silently. She didnt like eating so if she could avoid it she would. that sounded weird but she didnt eat until she had to. she nodded to the chef and pulled her hair out of her face.
"good morning sir, Any assistance needed today?" she asked the chef with a bright smile. All she got back was a slight nod.
"okay then, dishes?" she asked. He nodded again.
"ai ai captain" she said with a laugh

(I might be gone for a few days, maybe more, I'm not too sure just yet, Try not to involve my character in much just now. Sorry.)

Theron woke late with the sun already streaming through the window. She groaned, rolling over in her bed, bur she knew she must get up. Sighing, she dragged herself out of bed and quickly changed.
This being her first week at the Manor, she was unsure of what to do.
She walked to the hallway and headed down the stairs, looking round cautiously. She saw nobody else, and didn't really care to do work either way, so she simply sat on the bottom step of the stairs, fiddling with her necklace and glancing around with a nonchalant look about her.
