Introduction

You would think that scientists would learn from the movies…reanimating the dead is a BAD idea. Coming back from the grave and craving human flesh; that kind of stuff only happens in the movies. Right?...Right? WRONG.

In a government facility hidden deep beneath Skyline City, reanimating the dead was at the head of research. And they finally got it to work. Corpses walked, but that was only the first step. They wanted to take it farther. Their first subjects were mindless and slow. No senses, feelings, or cravings. But as the research went on the dead began to think and feel. Slight brainwaves were monitored and their movement became less robotic. The research was progressing, as was the risk.

The subjects were not fed, and with their newfound instincts and cravings, that was an issue. It only took one bite for a subject to be hooked on human flesh. And it only took one bite to spread the ‘treatment’ into the new host. Before long it got out of hand and the facility was overrun and put on lockdown.

One year later, a hazmat team was called to clean up the mess. Unfortunately, a few zombies had survived by eating the flesh of the others. All it took was a single bite to start over. The infection spread into the city.

Nikki crawled out of her apartment window and onto the fire escape. She had been able to get back and forth now for a long time, but the infection was getting out of control. This time, she knew she wouldn't be coming back. She had a backpack with what was left of her food and the personal belongings she could never leave behind. The bloody crowbar in her gloved hand clanked on the metal as she hurried down the fire escape stairs. As she reached the bottom zombies began to pour from the window she had come from. She didn't look back as she heard their footsteps hurrying after her. She didn't lower the ladder, instead jumping from the lower platform to the ground below.

She landed in the ally and ran toward the back, easily jumping to pull herself over a tall wooden fence. On the other side she concealed herself in shadow. Chaos had broken loose again, the few survivors now fleeing from hordes of the undead toward the city limits. But the city had been quarantined, there was almost no way out. Nikki had been thinking for a long time about her escape. She knew the only chance she had was to make it to the docks. That meant making it out of the city and across the suburbs that surrounded it. It also meant that she would need a boat and fuel. Her objective for now, stay alive.

Amy was going about her business, cooking dinner by herself in her own lonely home. She sighed. She would have to go grocery shopping soon. She jumped at a sound coming from her back yard and looked through the small window. A man had tripped over a fallen branch. Being the paranoid woman she was, she immediately reached for the shotgun that sat beside her. She pulled the back door open and held the gun up, trembling a bit. "Hey, you're trespassing!" She was hoping the man would get up and go away, but instead he lie there on the ground, struggling to get up.

With another sigh she tried to steady her gun and stepped out into the back yard. She stood over the man now. She looked down and gasped. The branch he had tripped over had taken off a leg. The bloody flesh still stuck between a split in the branch. He was moaning and clawing at the ground with decaying fingers. "Oh my-" Though she wasn't religious she didn't like to offend anybody by every finishing that statement. She steadied herself and shot it through the head. She hurried inside and gathered her things. If there was one, there would be more soon. She cursed under her breath. If she had stayed at the facility, perhaps there would have been something she could have done.

Andrew was panting... how long was he running anyways? He saw something from the corner of his eyes, so he ran for it again. As he ran, he loaded his gun once again. This place... it was destroyed. It was filled with man eating monsters.. so called zombies. He wasnt even sure if there were any normal humans here. Andrew hopped into a random car. Luckily the key was stuck in, and the gas was full.., perfect. As he turned the keys, the car roared to life. Those things were coming... again. Andrew stepped on the peddle, the car tires screeched before taking off. It wasnt long until he ran into a group of zombies... "That's just great.." he muttered. Andrew turned the stirring wheel, and the car turned 180 degrees. As it did. the back of the car smacked the group of zombies that was blocking the path. He backed up the car, running over the bodies, and took off again.

Tessa moved slowly, as close to silent as possible as she maneuvered herself among the grime of the alleyway, taking cover in the shadows. Her fingers were delicately shaped around the trigger of the paintball gun. She took another soft step, and jumped as she brought her foot down on an empty soda can. She froze, the aluminum held silent under the sole of her shoe. She listened carefully, anticipating either sound or silence. She prayed for silence. She was extremely disappointed when she heard the muffled sound of feet scraping across sidewalk coming from the left.
"Just my luck," She muttered, turning towards the end of the alleyway. When she turned, she saw at least five of the undead, all coming towards her, their arms outstretched, mouths open, hungry for her flesh and thirsty for her blood. She pivoted around, and saw even more of the creatures closing in on that side as well. She pressed herself against the slimy brick wall, her feet quickly stepping onto the mountainous piles of full, ripening trash bags. She quickly climbed on top of these, feeling the plastic material of the bags begin to slide. She noticed a closed dumpster a couple feet away, and jumped towards it, the bags slipping and bursting, strewing rubbish over the already disgusting ground. Above her, the low roof of an abandoned gas station stretched about three feet above her head. On the tip of her toes, she reached towards the ledge, her fingers barely touching the edge. The zombies were beginning to flood the alley-way, reaching towards her longingly. She yelped as one grabbed her ankle, pulling her towards them. She turned around, and banged the hand with the butt of her gun. The bone crumbled like rotten wood, and the deteorating layer of flesh and skin splattered over the plastic surface of the dumpster-top. Tessa laid the gun hand on top of the building, and grabbed the edge with her other hand, she took a step back on the top of the dumpster, and ran a quick step before jumping into the air as high as possible. She pushed up with her arms, straightening her elbows. With her waist above the edge of the building, she leaned forward, trying to tip the rest of her body over so she could pull her entire body onto the top if the roof. She pulled in her legs, standing back up on the rooftop. The zombies were climbing on top of each other, trying to reach her. She fired her paintball gun a couple times, watching small white blurs shoot out of the barrel three at a time, and watched several zombies crumble to the ground to be trampled by Tessa's next victim. Reluctantly, she turned away from the reanimated corpses below her, walking toward the other side of the roof, wracking her brains to think of another way to get the things she needed and get home, ultimately to escape the city once and for all.

Andrew finally relax just a bit as he drove down the road. He still looked around, making sure those monsters wont pop out of nowhere. The road was pretty bumpy. It wasnt because the ground was cracked or anything, it was because the ground was covered with dead bodies. It disgusted him, but that was the least of the problems right now. This world felt so empty. It once was such a noisy place, but now it was silent, besides the sound of the dead larking around. He was wondering if anyone was here. He's been driving around the city just in case for any survivors. The gas was starting to run out, so what choice did he really have?

He drove into an empty gas station, stopping th car. Andrew hopped out of the car looking around. For a minute, he held his breathe, trying to see if anything or anyone was here... but he didnt hear a sound. Quickly, he started to fill the car with gas, tapping his feet, hoping it would go faster. He would look around every now and then, just in case. Right when he was done, he heard a loud crashing noise. In a flash, he was pointing his gun, his back against the gas machine. He moved his head, slightly, just enough for him to see who or what was there.

Tessa stood on top of the building, her hands on her hips, trying to comeup with a plan. She heard strange, inhuman moans and almost birdlike screeches comig from the crowd of the undead below her. She watched as a car drove into the gas station, rocking back and forth over corpses as it cruised down the street. She watched a man get out, the metallic glint of a gun clasped in his hand. Tessa watched, sure that this was a survivor. Careful not to make a sound so that the man didn't jump and cause a gas spill and start a fire, Tessa walked towards the front of the building. Quietly, she peered over the side of the building. The crowd of zombies had thinned, less then ten. Tessa quickly shot down the remainder of them, their now permanently motionless body joining the litter that already peppered the ground. She walked back towards the front, where there was a tarp hanging above the entrance. She quickly hopped onto the weather-proof fabric, breifly sliding toward the edge which billowed with the breeze. She stopped from flying right over the edge by jamming her feet into the metal rod that held the tarp in place and kept it from being a flag. She climbed over to the edge, crouched, she turned around, grabbed onto the rod, and jumped, swinging down. Her legs slammed into the glass door with a humongous bang, she rebounded back, landing on the rubber mat.

"Oops," She muttered under her breath, she hadn't meant to swing into the door. She turned around, and saw the man standing up against the gas machine, a gun pointed at her, looking directly at her. Not sure what else to do, Tessa waved to show she meant no harm. She briskly walked towards the man, hoping her would not shoot, and suddenly realized that it was just a teenager, sixteen or seventeen.
"Hey," She said quietly, careful not to sound opposing, "Are you okay?"

Andrew was quiet surprised to see a survivor. At least he wasnt alone now. He put the gun down and looked at her, "Yeah I'm fine... you?" he asked looking around once more. "Looks like nobody is here besides you and me..." he muttered hopping back into the car. Once again he started the engine, not bothering to put on the seat belt. "Are you planning on going alone?" he asked tilting his head to look at her, then took a look at his watch. Time sure flies. Andrew leaned back against the car seat, relaxing, as if this would be the last time he would ever get some rest.

He sat up straight, and one hand gripped onto the stirring wheel. "You can hop in if you want, I'm not sure where I'm supposed to go now, so do you know anywhere besides this awful place?

Reaine was sitting in her room staring at the further rotting corpses of her late zombified parents. She was crying again and could make her self get up. "Sniveling crybaby lets go. If we don't leave now they'll find us." Reaine just started crying harder, Rain sighed in the back of reaines mind. It was impossible to be able to get the girl to move when she was emotional like this. "Please Reaine....you heard them next door...they got the jenkins...... They'll be here any minuite now." Reaine wasn't listening at all to Rain. "But....but mommy and daddy.........."She clutched her weapons closer to her. Rain was still calm but she knew they had to leave. "we had to do it..... they would have killed us if we didn't do it."
"I know but buut..."

Reaine was interrupted by the exploding sound of splintering wood. Rain screamed "YOU FREAKING IDIOT, GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!" Reaine froze up and Rain took the opportunity to take over and jump out the window. It was perfect timing because they cleared the roof and started jumping to the next house just as the rooms door was broken down. "Reaine, I am sorry I did that but We must survive this and escape." Reaine said nothing but she was still crying. Rain carried on in silence jumping across the rooftops.

"As good as you can get in a zombie apocalypse," Tessa replied,"Well, yeah I'm alone. My parents took me out of town once through a back road that nobody ever uses anymore, so I don't think there'll be any zombies there. How are you on supplies? I mean, since we're here, we may as well restock on things like food and that kind of stuff, besides, I need some more golf balls for my gun." Tessa looked back at the gas station. A zombie was starting to shuffle towards them from the alley, she quickly shot it and looked back at the teenager. She put out her hand to the boy.
"My name's Tessa."

He stared at her hands, but took it, "Andrew." he replied. "And really, you're using a paintball gun as your weapon? Couldnt you get some real ones?" he ased shooting the zombies on the head. "We'll worry about supplies after we get rid of these things." Andrew continued to shoot, loading the bullets pretty fast when needed. "Just get in the car, we dont have all day shooting these things." he said ready to drive off. "There should be a market down the road, we'll grab supplies there, along with a gun.." he took a look at the paintball and shook his head.

"Hey!" Tessa said, defending her paintball gun, "It works just as good as any other gun, besides, it's what I had at home, there isn't that many gun stores around, you know. My only other weapon was this," Tessa pulled out a somewhat large hunting knife. "I thought I did pretty good, mind you." Tessa climbed into the car. She shot at the zombies, taking down two or three at a time, just to prove her point.

"Yeah, yeah," he said stepping on the peddle, and turning the stirring wheel, screeching out of the gas station. He had one hand on the stirring wheel, while the other was loading the gun once again. "When we get to the store, grabbing anything you see that might be helpful. We shouldnt spend too much time, there." He made a sharp turn, instantly stopping in front of a store. He jumped out and looked at the store. "We might not be the only ones in there, so dont let your guard down."

Chamyle looked at her feet, not bothering to look at any of the zombies who were surrounding her. Why should she? She would just end up looking into the eyes of someone she used to know. One behind her lunged, and she backfliped over it, spin-kicking it when she landed. she turned and made a bee-line for her motorcycle, hitting a button on the small detonator in her hand when she reached it. As she raced out of the parking garage, on the fourth floor, the whole place blew up. The bike hit the groung hard, but stayed steady as she sped away from it. About a mile out, she stopped, turning to look at the building she had destroyed. The flames were reflected in her sunglasses as she watched. She turned away, muttering, "Twenty-something more down." and sped away again, the wind making her emerald-green hair fly out behind her. She didn't really have a sense of where she was going, and she didn't care.

Rain had come upon a small supermarket and was in the process of raiding it for supplies. She stuffed the backpack with as much food as it can fit and also found a nice little selection of guns a back room. Turns out the owner of this store might have been dealing in more then just food. She heard a creak behind her and she brought her sword out and stabbed it behind her before slicing upwards. The store owner, now zombified, was laying dead on the ground. Reaine had started crying again "Hush, if you don't control your emotions you'll kick me out and then we'll be in a real mess." Reaine sniffled, "but...but....you killed someone else...."
"OH MY GOD, IF I COULD SLAP YOU I WOULD....THERE ZOMBIES, IT'S THEM OR US."
"but but......."
"No buts, shut up......."
"fine....I'll be quiet and stay out of your way."

Rain walked over behind the counter and grabbed two desert Eagles and a chest holser for them and slipped them on. She then smashed the window and took the few rounds of ammo there. She walked out but spotted a small black outfit on one of the racks. (SEE PICTURE ON CHARACTER) She slipped it on before going to walk around the store for any other supplies....and to also get something to eat.

"Right," Tessa agreed, sliding out of the car and quietly closing the door. She started to approach the store, her gun held up and her knife in her hand as well. Tessa gripped the door handle and pushed in. The door easily came open. As she walked inside, she heard someone talking. She paused for a moment, and kept walking, creeping towards the sound. She couldn't hear exactly what they're saying, but one sounded upset, and the other sounded angry. Tessa decided to leave them alone for now, and raced to find a backpack or something to put food and supplies in. She found a rather large one in a corner of the store, and raced to find the food section. Quickly scanning boxes, she dropped into the bag some crackers, a couple blocks of cheddar cheese, some beef jerkey, water bottles, a bottle of vitamins, and anything else she thought might be useful. She also found several tubes of mini golf balls and shoved them in the backpack, too. She wasn't giving up her paintball gun. It had gotten her this far, hadn't it?

She walked back to the food isle to see if she found anything else she may need. On her way there, she saw a first aid kit, complete with iodine, neosporin and rolls of bandage and other medical necessities. Since she thought the chances of someone getting hurt were quite good, she took that as well. She found those little bottles of five hour energy, and swept them in as well, figuring that they'd endure some sleepless nights, and would need the energy to stay alert. She jogged back to the food isle, the backpack was getting heavier and heavier, but it still wasn't that full. She ended up sweeping in more bottled water, some flavor packets (just to keep it interesting), and a bag of apples (since they're easy to eat, don't go bad too quickly, and if you throw them hard enough at someones head, it could probably knock them out). She dusted off her hands, the backpack slung over her shoulder. She started to walk out when something caught her eye. She walked back a couple steps and saw a box of mini LED flashlights. She grabbed them, putting them in the backpack, also grabbing a box of AA batteries. She started to walk again, but she started to hear voices, like the ones she heard when she had entered the store. She turned around, and saw a girl in a short, black dress walking, her long red-brown hair billowing behind her at her brisk pace. She seemed to be talking to herself, two different voices coming out of her mouth as if she were replying to herself. Tessa glanced around warily, to see if there was anybody around that she could be talking to.
"Excuse me," Tessa called out to the little girl, "Are you alright?"

Andrew walked into the store and dumped a bunch of things in a bag. He grabbed some clothes that they would probably need, and a bunch of medical stuff. He saw Tessa pack everything else, and thought it was probably enough. Andrew walked out of the store, putting the bag in the trunk. What they needed now was more weapons. He walked in to a weapon store, which was located next to the store. As soon as he stepped in, he was greeted by a zombie, tearing into some's flesh. When it saw him, he raced towards him only to be shot clearly through the head. Andrew jumped behind the counter grabbing all the bullets he can find, along with the guns. Andrew walked back out and threw the guns in the trunk as well. He saw Tessa was still not out, and went back in the store, "What's taking you so long?"

Andrew stopped and saw Tessa with two other girls, more survivors. One of them looked pissed, while the other looked like she just cried. "Is there something wrong?" he asked looking behind the counter to see a dead zombie on the ground.

There was no reverse option for them, the only way to put them down was to stop brain function and she knew it. Blood sprayed over her white car as she bumped down the road. She had to find a way out.

Tessa turned around to see Andrew.
"I don't know," Tessa said quietly enough that only Andrew could hear, glancing at the little girl in the black dress. "She won't look at me, and she's talking to herself. I think this entire thing has shocked her, maybe she'll return to normal in a little bit. But in the meantime, we should probably get moving. Once someone else finds that road Isaid about, zombies will follow, and we'll never get out unless we have a boat. I don't think missing our chance is an option, because I doubt we'll get lucky with the boat thing."
Tessa walked back to the little girl. She didn't know how old she was, and she had no idea if she'd be okay, but she talked slowly and gently to her.
"Hey, are you okay?" She asked, the girl couldn't be more then ten or eleven, she guessed, "We are going to get out of this place, if you come with us, alright?" She watched to see if the little girl would follow, or reply. Any way she could respond would be good.

(SORRY GUYS, I'm sorta packing to move so i was busy XD)

Reaine looked up, she had been eating while Rain slept. A girl with light red hair was standing over her. "Hey, are you okay?"

"She put the food down, "uh...I'm....I....." She started crying again and it woke up Rain. Rain in the back of Reaines head (sorry i kinda don't know how this would work in RL) and took in her surroundings. She noticed the two standing in front of them. "Reaine, stop crying. It's making you look bad." Reaine stopped crying and brushed the tears away. "sniff, okay....."she looked back over at the other two
"I'll come........ I'm Reaine......and this is Rain."
"Hi, you don't have to watch Reaine, I can do it find. After all I don't want to die."
they stood up and rain bruched herself off. "rain.........I'm scarred........you do what you want........I'll just........"
"fine fine whatever." She turned to Tessa. "What's your name?"

Tessa was surpirsed when the little girl started crying, and even more surprised when she introduced herself as two people. Tessa decided to go along with it, so that she didn't upset the Reaine part of the little girl.
"I'm Tessa," She introduced herself, "Sorry if we bothered you two. Are you here all alone? I mean, it's a long way out of town, and it's best not to go alone." She wasn't sure if Reaine/Rain would ever recover, and she wasn't sure how to address them both. It was all very confusing to her, but it seemed like Rain was easiest to talk to.

"Hurry, up we dont have all day." Andrew pointed out with a sigh. He started to head outside, and sure enough there was one of the zombies larking around. Andrew shot it a few times, and the zombie fell to the ground with a sick noise. Hw went back into the store, "Uh, ladies.. we dont have time.. this is the time of day where these monsters are most active." he said impatiently. Andrew loaded the gun and sighed. "Unless you want to become a zombie food.... I would hurry up." he slightly hissed.

"Wow...you all are pathetic. A little infection leak and you're all running like rabbits." Alchemy said from her leaning position on the counter. Her black outfit contrasted sharply with her green hair. She seemed smug.

Joseph Young slumped against the wall of his house, crying and holding the barrel of an empty .38 caliber pistol against his forehead. His wife and two kids were lying on their bedroom floors, dead from gunshot wounds to the head that he had given them moments earlier. His whole world had turned into a nightmare, and it had begun the moment he walked through the doors of Astrotech Enterprises, a corporation working closely with NASA. Joseph had been working there for ten years, and he had never seen anything like what he saw that day. His friend and co-worker, Steve Wozniak, had walked into the corporation, falling down drunk. Of course, that turned out to be a wrong assumption.

Another one of his co-workers, Ted Grant, approached Steve, warning him that if the boss saw him like this, he would be fired. Steve made no indication that he even understood, then leapt on Ted without warning. He bit into Ted's neck, ripping out veins while he screamed in horror. Blood began to pool everywhere, and without even thinking, Joseph grabbed his office chair, rushed up, and hit Steve as hard as he could. He flew off of him, but was up in seconds, and came after him. The look in his eyes was horrific, and Joseph hit him with the chair until he was absolutely sure Steve was dead.

In all the commotion, Ted had died from having his jugular ripped in half. One of the other office workers, Tammy Page, went to cover his body, when he suddenly jerked up. Seeming to come back from the dead, Ted bit deep into her leg, and Tammy fell. Ted began to eat on her, and Joseph was terrified. Within an hour, all of his co-workers had been turned into zombies. Now, they were all looking to eat him.

Joseph ran for his life, knocking over anything he could in an attempt to slow them down. Still, they kept on, and he dared not look back as he approached the emergency staircase. Then, something caught his eye. A red, glass case was mounted on the wall, and inside, was a fireman's axe. This was to be used in case a door was blocked during a fire. He smasshed the glass with his hand, the tiny pieces of glass biting into his hand.

As he removed the axe from the case, he thought that this was as good an emergency as any to use it. As a zombie approached, he swung the axe, sending its head into an adjacent wall. With a naked need to survive, Joseph began to hack at the zombies, always aiming for their heads. One thing Hollywood had always taught moviegoers was that the brain was the only weak spot of a zombie. Kill the brain, kill the zombie; simple as that. His suit stained with blood, Joseph left the enemies he had returned to the dead and bolted down the staircase.

Zombie Steve's handiwork was evident, as he was forced to cut down more zombies on his way to the parking garage. He took out his key and got in his car, thankful that the engine turned over. As he was about to tear out of there, the zombified parking attendant leapt upon his windshield. It beared its rotten teeth and began hitting the windshield. Punching the gas, he let the speedometer climb to fifty before he slammed on the brakes. The zombie flew off, busting its head on the concrete.

Joseph crushed its head with his tire for good measure, then drove through the pandemonium-laden streets on his way home.
"Please be all right," he said under his breath, referring to his wife and two kids at home.
As he squealed into the parking lot, he took his axe up to the door and opened it. The house was all clear, but then his wife, Cyndi, came tearing down the hall at him. The look in her eye and the blood around her mouth made it clear that she had been turned, but Joseph could not find it in himself to butcher the woman he had loved since high school. Crouching down, he threw the axe at her horizontally, tripping her up.

Retreating down the hall, Joseph ran into the master bedroom. Tears stung his eyes as he rifled through the closet, pulling out a shoebox with his .38 caliber pistol in it. Pulling it out, he loaded it and pulled back the hammer. As Cynthia came into the room, he turned to her.
"I'm sorry," he said with a cracking voice as he took aim and fired a single round into her head.
Her head jerked back, and she collapsed to the floor.

Joseph lowered the gun and hung his head, knowing that his work was not finished yet. If his wife had been turned, then his two children, eight-year-old Thomas and six-year-old Annie, had probably been turned, as well. Tears now completely blurred his vision, but he wiped them away. Moving into the living room, he headed down the hall into the kid's rooms. He opened Thomas' door, and found him sitting on his bed. The boy snarled at him, and Joseph took aim.

However, before he could take the shot, he felt his legs go out from under him. Annie had tackled him with strength far surpassing her size. As she prepared to bite into him, he took aim and fired once, killing her. However, Thomas was upon him, and Joseph's gun was knocked away. He got up and kicked his son back onto his bed. Thomas sprang back up, and leaped into the air as Joseph turned and fired.

Fear had caused him to keep pulling the trigger, even though the first shot had killed Thomas. When the gun could only offer an empty click, he staggered out of the room, and collapsed against the wall. He rested the barrel of the gun against his forehead and uttered heart-wrenching sobs. His whole life had been turned upside down, and now he had nothing. There was no job, no family, and no reason to keep going. All because of those...damn zombies.

His eyes opened and hardened in anger. He gritted his teeth and uttered a primordial scream of soul-shattering pain and unsuppressed rage. When he could scream no more, he found a reason to keep going. Those zombies had taken everything from him, but they had not taken his life. As long as he could yet draw breath, he would make them pay. Leaving the house and getting into his car, he promised himself and his family that he would annihilate every last zombie.

Joseph Young drove his car into the city, and found what he was looking for. He parked in front of the gun store, and rushed inside. The place was still fully stocked, and he grabbed a black gym bag and began stuffing it with weapons. He filled it with pistols and sub-machine guns, for they would be his sidearms. He also grabbed all of the ammo he could possibly want for them and placed them in the side pockets. After zipping the bag shut, he turned his attention to the big boys.

Automatic rifles, sniper rifles, and shotguns all lay before him, and he was going to take them all. He grabbed an M16 and loaded it with some ammo while sticking more ammo in the bag. It reminded him of his days in the Army, and he decided that this would be his main weapon. He set it down and packed an AK-47 in his bag, as well as a few other automatic rifles. A semi-automatic sniper rifle was loaded, and he slung it over his back. After loading shells into a SPAS-12 shotgun, he secured it around his waist.

After he had loaded up all the guns, he left the store and stowed them in the back seat. He kept the M16 in his passenger seat, in case he needed it. Now, it was time for him to get some new clothes, something that fit the new him. Joseph drove to the mall, and went inside. He was full expecting a Dawn of the Dead situation, and that was what he got. As soon as he went in, he could see zombies everywhere.

Setting the black bag down, he secured the gunbelt around his waist, and placed the M16 clips inside so that he could reload if he needed to. Staying in the crouch, he took aim with his M16 and fired, taking down a zombie. The others were alerted, but were not quick enough to avoid being gunned down by him. The Army had taught him to use three shot bursts. Now that his rage had reignited his military instincts, he only needed one. When every zombie he could see was dead, Joseph replaced the clips and went up the escalator.

He hit up the clothing store and changed into a pair of black combat boots, camouflaged jeans, a black tank top, and a black sash that he tied around his forehead. Looking into the mirror, he saw that he looked like Rambo, which was a very good thing. Looping the gunbelt through the belt loops, he gripped his M16 and left the store. Joseph proceeded down the escalator, and casually bumped off a few straggler zombies. Leaving the mall, he turned and proceeded down the sidewalk. Where he was concerned, the safety was off, and the war was on!

A zombie was running down the sidewalk towards the store. "ah, speaking of zombie food" Rain pulled out her colt and took aim, BAM, the zombie crumpled to the ground, fresh blood oozing from it's head. "we should go, there will be more if that one ran by." Reaine was startled by the gun shot and started whimpering. "Girl you are fine, don't start crying on me....you know that's dangerous." Reaine was silent she was to scared to talk. Rain looked back at the other two and started walking to the doors. "can we go now?"
